Now that most big dates have passed, I'm excited for the summer :)

It's always so interesting, the feeling of 'I'm done with the school year so I can start learning now' ^^' But it's so much easier to be healthy and curious on my own. Wish they'd just let me do whatever + the freedom to bother teachers as much as i wanted, and give me a degree based on the quality of my portfolio lol

For the rest of june, I've been challenging myself to wrap some stuff up, so I can start fresh on the next chunk in july!

Subtle evolution

While Hello Kitty’s key features remained largely unchanged, Yamaguchi (who previously told Time magazine that the character doesn’t have a mouth “so that people who look at her can project their own feelings onto her face”) placed her in different scenarios, broadening her appeal.

“She’s good at sports, and she looks cute and chic too,” she explained.

“I think of her as a blank canvas that you can transform into all sorts of things. There’s not much that doesn’t suit her… I think that when everyone talks to Hello Kitty, she probably answers them in some way.”

Sales of Hello Kitty products flourished in Japan between the 1980s and mid-1990s.

Much of the company’s earlier merchandise was aimed at young girls, including school supplies and personal care items like toothbrushes.

But, even then, illustrator Yamaguchi knew the character would need to evolve and grow with her fans.

It’s a realization the illustrator traces back to a letter she received from a fan in 1987:

“She was a big fan of Hello Kitty but, in the letter, she wrote that her friends and parents had told her that it is a children’s character, and that she should have outgrown it.

But she didn’t want to, so she asked me to make products for high school students like her.”

Inspired by the trends she saw in Tokyo’s Harajuku fashion district at the time, Yamaguchi began incorporating contemporary style into her designs, in the hope of appealing to older fans.  

In 1999, Sanrio told the New York Times that the character was appearing on 12,000 new product lines a year, spanning almost every category imaginable, from clothing to board games, greeting cards to lunchboxes.

The company also began using Hello Kitty on more adult items, like electronics and kitchen appliances, as it became clear that nostalgia was becoming a major selling point.

As a result, some of today’s biggest Hello Kitty fans are those who grew up with her in the 1980s and ‘90s.

Among them is Asako Kanda, who started collecting Sanrio products in third grade and now owns over 10,000 items adorned with the character’s expressionless face.

“My mother gave me Hello Kitty stationery and school supplies like pencil cases and plastic boards.

When I saw them, I thought they were so cute, and they quickly became my favorite. That’s where it started,” she said, showing CNN around a dedicated Hello Kitty room in her Tokyo home.

“Once I began buying things for myself, I could get items for the kitchen, bathroom and other daily necessities. I wanted to unify everything with Hello Kitty from that point on."

After more than 36 years of collecting, Kanda still buys around two Hello Kitty items every month.

Sanrio releases new products on a weekly basis, and she scans them looking for anything that is “memorable or cute.”

“As life goes on, there are times when you face unpleasant or sad experiences,” she said, “During those times, looking at Hello Kitty goods have brought me comfort and solace.”

Going global

As Japan’s economy stagnated in the 1990s, Sanrio expanded its international presence.

In Hello Kitty’s early years, the company had sold products door-to-door in the US, before setting up the first overseas branch of its retail store, Gift Gate, in San Jose in 1976.

But following an explosion of Western interest in Japanese culture — from “Dragon Ball Z” to Tamagotchis and Beyblade — she captured the imagination of American consumers around the turn of the millennium, according to Atsuo Nakayama, a Japanese sociologist specializing in the entertainment industry.

“Just after 9/11, the world was changing,” he told CNN. “And I think that the Japanese ‘kawaii’ culture was an alternative fit for America, somehow.”

Much of Hello Kitty’s commercial success has been achieved through licensing.

She has spawned books, video games and animated TV series, like the long-running “Hello Kitty and Friends,” which helped further develop her character.

(Although, despite being raised in London, she was given a North American accent in English dubbed versions.)

She has also been part of deals with major consumer and luxury brands, and has appeared on an EVA Air plane, Fender Stratocaster guitars and Swarovski jewelry.

And while Sanrio’s declining fortunes at the turn of the 2010s sparked fears that Hello Kitty’s cultural relevance was fading, the company’s share price has rocketed in the last two years.

It now stands over 10 times its Covid-era low.

According to Atsuo, nostalgia is once again a key driving force — at home in Japan and abroad.

“Hello Kitty is on the rise again in America, and I think that this is because the first generation have now become parents and passed (their interests) on to their children,” Atsuo said, adding:  

“(Her popularity) has risen and fallen many times like this, and it creates a regular opportunity for people who were captivated by Hello Kitty to remember it and want to collect it again.”

Sanrio’s recent successes are also, in part, due to it diversifying away from Hello Kitty.

The character now only accounts for around 30% of Sanrio’s gross profit in product sales and licensing, down from 76% a decade earlier, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Recent creations like Gudetama (a lazy egg yolk) and Aggressive Retsuko (an introverted death-metal-loving red panda) have both featured in their own Netflix series.

Yet, even as Sanrio’s business model changes, Yamaguchi believes Hello Kitty will endure.

“Of course, there are many characters in the world that have been around longer than Hello Kitty,” the illustrator said, adding:

“I hope she continues working hard so she can celebrate her 100th anniversary in 50 years’ time.”

A few weeks had passed since their little vacation and the throuple had begun to build their home. And it was just about done, thank you Tony Stark, just the wiring and the extra accessories left to work on. (Y/n) was excited to see the final results she and Ash were already buying furniture. 

The team had also resumed moving into the compound. So, a good majority of the labs and training halls were packed away which meant (y/n) had less work to do and more time to shop. And today she was Dragging Bruce along with her. They were finishing up the kitchen. The throuple agreed to light grey countertop and dark grey cabinets with silver handles, the idea of white anything just unsettled the family as a whole. They all agree on the walls, beyond their personal space, being off white and grey. 

“Oh this is cute” (Y/n) said showing a Kawaii, yes Kawaii not cute, kitten designed kitchen utensils. 

“You already have spatulas and those don’t even match the aesthic. “Bruce said as he took it from her hand and put it back.” We are here for the bathrooms.”

“Ash can decorate her own bathroom. And Steve and Bucky can careless as long as the towels are soft enough and there are shelves for their products. They are being simple”

“How?” Bruce asked as he manuvered (Y/n) way from the kitchen section and into the bathroom section. 

“Steve wants an art room. And he wants the whole nine yards with it. A thousand shelves and drawers, a million canvas, and sketch books. And a big window so he can gaze at nature for inspiration.”

“Why don’t I believe you?”

And he shouldn’t. Steve truly just wanted a little nook/ window seel where he could draw in peace and a desk or closet to put his art supplies away. It was (y/n) and Bucky who wanted him to have more, his own personal space to explore. Steve could do with small and simple but they always wanted to give him more. 

They were all like that with each other. 

Bruce watched as (Y/n) slows down as she looked at the bathroom decor specifically his & her decor. She picked up two matching soap dispensers. Leaning on the cart Bruce bumps her hip slightly releasing her from her deep thoughts. 

“I never thought I’d have this.” He looked at her confused “Honestly, the time I came from what i currently have wasn’t even a possibility. But even if we did manage somehow, it still wouldn’t have been because we were so poor at the time. And now... I’m not even looking at price tags. 

I’m building a house-not buying building. A high-tech one as well. And I have a daughter. I have an awesome job taking care of people... This wasn’t even a dream.... Bruce?”

“Yeah?”

“I think I’m going to cry.”

“I think we’ve done enough shopping today. Let’s go cry in the car.”

“Welcome home” Bucky called out as he heard the Elevator door close. Steve greeted him as he rounded the corner. “I’m making dinner. We’re having salmon.” 

“Where are the girl?” Steve asked as he approached him hugging him from behind and asking his neck. 

“They are in the living room watching tv.” Bucky said as he leaned back to get a proper kiss from him. “Go tell them to wash up for dinner. I’m almost done.” 

“Hey, hey” (Y/n) said Steve approached them from behind. Leaning over the back of the couch he kissed Ash’s forehead before giving (Y/n) a proper kiss. 

“What are you guys watching?” 

“Nothing really. We are actually looking up furniture for Ash’s room.” (Y/n) explained as she handed him the tablet showing what they had. 

“This looks really good. Can’t wait to see it all together. By the way Time for dinner. We’re eating salmon.” 

“Oh, I love salmon” 

“Honestly you love just love food.”

“Correction, I love good food” (y/n) said they all went to wash up. 

“Did you decide on anything?” Bucky asked as he set their plates. 

“Thank you, honey. And yes, she found a few thinks she liked.” 

Taking out the tablet again Ash handed over to Bucky and they began to talk about her choses. (Y/n) watched as Ash and Bucky went over her room and what more she could put in it and decorate it. They were both smiling as the spoke. You could see the resemblance in their smiles and the way they laughed. Both so beautiful. 

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Steve asked as he reached across the table taking her hand.  (Y/n) hadn’t realized she had started crying she laughed and started wiping her tears away. 

“Mom, what’s wrong?”

Everything stopped.

“what-what did you say?” (Y/n) whispered as more tears spilled. 

“I...mom?” 

(Y/n) started laughing as she pulled Ash into her chest hugging her. In all the time Ash had been with them she had never addressed them as anything but their names this was the first time she’d ever...

“You called me mom. I’m mom” 

“Why are you crying?” Ash asked as she hugged her Mother. 

“Because I’m happy. I’m so happy I’m crying. You’re making me happy.” The whole family sigh in relief as (Y/n) continued to cry and hug her daughter.  “I just never thought... oh I love you all, I love you all so much.”

Some random The Amazing Digital Circus x FNF AU

Okay so... Fair warning because it is based on an existing mod. Specifically, The Amazing Digital Circus Funk Off Reality. I did it because the ideas went wild after seeing BF and GF's designs! As such, BF and GF's designs from that mod are NOT CHANGING!! Because they are already perfect and fit in universe.

Another warning: Not every character acts like their canon counterparts. This is due to either being AI, or the Circus fucking them up mentally.

Background: This version of the Circus is instead run by a trio of AIs, Pumpkin Spice (or Spice for short), Calvera, and Mango. And their first victims were what would eventually become the 'core four'.. those being the first four brought into The Amazing Digital Circus. Like in the main universe, Spice loves coming up with ideas for adventures, and especially loves to bring people out of their comfort zones!! ...Let's stop describing the background, because now it's time for the characters! (for the most part)

I'll save the hosts for last... so let's begin with:

Beepy! Beepy is a wind-up toy robot with detached limbs. He can only speak in beeps and boops, but the eyes change color depending on his emotions. He is friends with Mimei, and maybe they were more than just friends before they arrived long ago. He is trying to be friends with Clockwork, and Hana doesn't even want to be around him.

Mimei (pronounced Mimi) is a tall feminine mime. Usually not talking, and almost always frowning, she just bops her head to the music. Especially if it's Beepy's music. Maybe they were something more before arriving in the Circus long ago? Regardless, she can speak non-verbally, and is friends with Hana and Candy.

(I'm gonna warn you right now, not everyone has a design. Albeit I can just say who they are supposed to be based on in canon.)

Clockwork is a tall toy-soldier with short ginger hair with three rounded spikes sticking out of the back, painted on rosy cheeks, and of course he has that scent of being made of tin. His gun is fake, obviously. He's anxious and nervous about looking bad in front of his friends, but his friends know he means well. Beepy and Sugar are even encouraging him to be brave! Before entering the Circus, he was this universe's Pico, a young man just worried about his friends going missing.

Hana is a white rabbit with 'kawaii' features, like blank black eyes with white pupils, a cute bunny face, rosy cheeks, and paws for hands and feet. He even has a cute tail! He wears a pink kimono at all times, and doesn't seem to know how to put it on. Thank god nobody needs to clean themselves in this place.. He's polite and calm, until Spice, Calvera and Mango leave the room. He is stressed out and annoyed, and just wants to go home. Before entering the Circus, he was this universe's Senpai, a senior in high school who was very bored and wanted to play this new vr game that was sent to him anonymously.

(And as for these four, I can remove them if their owners don't want these characters in the AU. It's already perfect as is, so if we lost these four, it would not harm the AU.)

Cynder is a condensed smoke man, with it's hair tied into a ponytail. He has a long grey/black hoodie with no need for any other clothes due to being made of smoke. He's a kind, polite and laid-back man. In fact, he's probably the most calm about being put into The Amazing Digital Circus. His outside counterpart is this universe's Garcello, with how he entered the Circus still being a mystery to this day.

Blammo is a man with a bomb for a head, and no neck. He's crazy cheerful and playful, and is a master of mischief. Pretty much if he goes on adventures, he's most likely to cause more trouble than actually help the others. The only person that can reign him in his Mimei or Sugar. His outside counterpart is this universe's Julian, aka human Whitty. He went missing because he got bored and wanted to play that vr game he got.. much like Senpai.

Vivi is a tv-headed dude with jester's attire. He's cheerful and carefree, but eager to help whenever offered something in return. He has a secret stash of candy that he hides, but often usually has to chase Mango out of his room because Mango keeps on finding his secret stash. His outside counterpart is this universe's Hex, a young grad student who was investigating the disappearance of Julian.

Candy is a girl with a candy-head, her head being full of konpeito. She has a cute dress on her body, and floating hands. She's sweet and kind, and very generous when it comes to sharing her candy. Since her room is full of candy, and she has a lot. Her outside counterpart is this universe's Sky, being a young girl wondering where all her friends went.

And now... The hosts!! Aka the AI that trapped everyone here.

Spice is a pumpkin headed woman with a cute pumpkin themed dress and a jack-o-lantern face with a singular glowing light in the eye. She is the ringleader of The Amazing Digital Circus, being an AI that brought in people from the real world to go on adventures in her amazing digital world! She's very cheerful and friendly, but is also kind of creepy at times to those who are new to her Circus.

Calvera is a skeleton headed man with a tuxedo on, and he has no neck. He is the assistant to Spice, and is also an AI that brings people from the real world into The Amazing Digital Circus. He's friendly and cheerful, but less creepy. In a way, whenever he isn't given much of a task, he sneaks off to his garden and tends to his flowers. Don't ask why a skeleton is into gardening, just accept it.

Mango is a young girl with a mango for a head, and a cute outfit consisting of red, green and yellow sweater, white overalls, and brown shoes. She has floating hands, as she has no visible arms. She's very friendly and cheerful, and often does strange stuff to the point that she even disturbs Spice of all people.

Maja Lim has resided in the same Seoul apartment for over two decades. In direct contrast to the univocally beautiful Lim, the exterior of the complex is unremarkable in almost every way. The innocuous tan building, built in the 1990s and located in the lively Jongno-gu district among antique markets and art studios, does not reflect the playful nature of the surrounding neighborhood.

A different story is told inside Lim's tenth-floor apartment. At first, it can be challenging to tell the difference between her sun-kissed living room and a pastel paradise. Lim, of course, is one of South Korea's most popular streamers, but a quick glance at her Insadong residence reveals that she could've easily worked as an interior designer for kawaii cafes in Harajuku, Tokyo; she has an eye for all things cute and pink. 

A common thread in Lim's home is a blending of soft and sweet with bite and edge, which she's applied to her career as an online personality. Lim is a collector and a maximalist, and there’s seldom an empty wall or corner. A travel souvenir (a Greek coin that has been out of circulation since the 1980s) here, a trinket (a waving sakura lucky cat from Japan) there; a photograph in a wavy handmade frame (designed by a local Insadong artist), a Sanrio plushie. Or two. Or Three. In fact, there are an inordinate amount of plushies in the Lim household. “It’s a bit of a self-soothing mechanism,” Lim admits with a laugh. “When I’m in a sour mood, I buy a plushie. Or go shopping.”

Despite the maximalism of Lim's apartment, it never feels congested... until you reach the closet. She has done her best to accommodate her vast wardrobe, attempting to keep it enclosed to the bedroom, but it has nonetheless splashed out into the rest of her apartment. A metal clothing wrack in the living room holds a few notable items (most of which are pink), but the garments themselves are exquisite enough to function as an art piece.

When asked what clothing she chooses to hang on the living room rack, Lim says, "I want to say it’s whatever I'm wearing most, but the truth is it's usually what I want to dress my friends in. I love having my girl friends over and dressing them up. I'm really into sleepovers. Painting each other's nails, doing each each other's hair, that sort of thing. It makes me feel like I'm finally getting to experience the girlhood — the teenhood — I never had.”

Lim's house has an air of permanence, of established roots, but she admits that she wasn't always a settler. She had never committed to creating a personal space for herself until she moved to Seoul. As her career blossomed and popularity grew, she considered relocating to a larger apartment in a more affluent neighborhood. “I’ll never follow through," she says. “I have a very personal relationship with this place. This neighborhood. I know all the staff at the local businesses and they know me. I feel very...” she pauses, searching for the appropriate word, “held here. It’s a nice community.”

It would be difficult to discuss Lim without mentioning her streaming setup. She does not, contrary to popular belief, have a separate room for gaming. A corner of Lim's bedroom is taken up by her desk, which is outfitted with multiple monitors, neon lights, and numerous trinkets from her favorite gaming franchises. "[Now that I'm famous], people assume I have a crazy complicated setup. That I must stream from a converted home office or a corporate warehouse. Manika Incorporated!" She laughs. "But, no, everything is still very homegrown, and I have no intention of changing anytime soon." As the adage goes: don’t fix what ain’t broke. 

The Filipina streamer hails from Manila, and those with a keen eye will notice design references to her motherland. A large Pamaypay hangs above the bar area, a wooden Karabow guards a bowl of keys in the foyer, and many antique pieces are paneled in stunning white capiz, a natural material abundant in the Philippines.

“My apartment is an extension of myself,” says Lim. “It’s everything that I am, everything that I was, and likely everything I’m going to be in the future. It’s all right here.”

An Freshly Baked New Life. (CRK TF)🍪🩷

Carson B. Terason was a 6 year old boy who was born with a breathing issue that made him struggle to breathe when he gets exhausted from playing too hard and when he slept. His parents did all they could to keep their little boy happy and healthy but two jobs each *his mom a waitress and his father a Car Dealership employee* couldn't always pay the Hospital Bills for Medication and Therapy, but they didn't care as they always give their son love and Attention. Carson was a lovely little boy who loved to Play games, Help his mother Bake Cookies and Cakes, and he loves the Cookie Run Frandchise, mainly Cookie Run Kingdom as he loved the cute and colorful Characters and Their Skills and even has a collection of CRK Merch like small plushies, stickers, cards, pins and a poster of all of Cookie Characters. But his breathing problems got worse when he was Exposed to smoke from a House fire from across of his home. The doctors told his parents that they did all they could But Carson might not have long to live since the smoke damaged his already weak lungs so they suggested that they put him in the "Hermadale New Life Program." a program created by the Hermadail Herself to give children who are either abandoned by their parents or children who might not have Long to live, it's like Make-a-wish only more Magical, so they agreed and signed the agreement, but that doesn't mean that they didn't visit their son who loved to have a new life, but he was a little nervous..he had heard of the Friendship Force but he didn't know it will work. One week before his 7th Birthday *His Hermadale New Life Program day* he was playing Cookie Run Kingdom on his tablet when he gets a Special Visit from the Hermadail Herself.

She also had a Bag that was Pastel pink with Multiple color and pattern Patchs and well as Kawaii Keychains on her Back.

My Pure Vanilla Cookie: Well yes, Now let's get to the Ultimate Dough...

In one of the laboratories was an cauldron that was Mixing a Giant batch of the ultimate dough, it was a mixture of Leftover dough from many Different living cookies, Some fresh ingredients, and Star Jellies, it was Stirred by a Mechanical Wisk by a mechanical Hand, I Lead the Kid to a small room, it was a dark yet Cosy with a warm glowing light that was Coming Though a crystal ball like Chandelier, a Thick, Pale red Mist was on the ground and a low rise table and Stools were Partly seen, on the table was a small cake Decorated with a Dolop of Cream and a strawberry in the middle of it, two tea cups and a tea pot were set up for two, Me and Carson took a seat.

Me: Here, I Decided that one final Birthday cake and a cup of tea is in order before treatment.

Carson: o-Okay? I guess so...*Picked up his Cup of Camille and Poppy Tea*

Carson also took a Bite out the Choco Caramel and Cream Cake....he Started to Fell relaxed and a little sleepy, but he felt warm and fuzzy, We Talked about how his new life would be Lovely and exciting, he then fell deeply asleep and he leant over the table, I gently picked him up...and I Put him into the Bowl of The Ultimate dough by gently throwing him over the Giant Bowl.....

Me and my Version of Matilda The Cookie Witch were Waiting outside of the Oven, then the oven doors swung open and a Glowing Cookie jumped out and I Instantly caught him...he was only a inch taller than Custard Cookie III. I Put him on a Small tray and I Started to Decorate him and gave him new Clothing and once I Finished his Decorating, My Matilda then put him in a Small Soft bed in a Dollhouse outside in her garden near the gate..

Carson: *Slowly started to wake up* Mmmmm.....*he felt warm and Freshly baked as he Sit up in bed rubbing his Eyes...when he opened his new Choco Brown Eyes he saw his new surroundings.

Carson: Hm? What is this place?

He sat up in the bed and saw his New Nubby Hands with gloves, he then stood up and at first he wobbled and Stummbled as he got used to his new feet.
