You know, all I wanted… all I wanted was to know you were totally mine. And all you wanted was me. (Part 1)
It’s a new morning after Katie and Andy slept together. Robert is also off early to find Katie. Diane tells Jack to butt out of Robert and Andy’s drama. Katie ponders whether to stay or leave the village. It’s a new day and once again the brothers Sugden brawl only to be separated by Jack. Robert tracks down Katie and her wounds of hurt are plain to see (Gah, the Robert and Katie scene reminds me of the Aaron/Robert talk early 2017).

Pretty Privilege (and its complications…)
♫: California Gurls, Katy Perry // Icky, Kard
“You love your boyfriend more than anything; so much so that you decide to pay a visit to him while he‘s on duty, a perfect excuse to gawk at his perfect form and charming self. Unbeknownst to you (like always) the act only causes Taehyun to stress, forced to watch you attract attention like a magnet and have people flirt with you left and right— even your understanding boyfriend has his limits, you know.”
lifeguard!Taehyun x fem!reader
Genre: established relationship, beach au, fluff, smut
Word count: 9.6K
warnings: bimbo/ditzy/feminine mc, mc is called a queencard bc idk, mc gets horny every three seconds, mc has nipple peircings and insane pretty privilege, (I have nothing to say for myself.) everyone in this damn beach wants her, she gets hit on by both men and women. alcohol consumption, (no one gets drunk) use of pet names (baby, my girl etc.) and the words boyfriend/girlfriend, lowkey public indecency.. teasing, possessiveness, a little jealousy.
smut warnings: dom!taehyun, sub!mc semi-public sex, marking, thigh riding, degrading, possessiveness (again!), rough sex, biting, breast play, grinding, oral (f. rec) multiple orgasms, unprotected sex, strength kink, tae picks the mc up, praise, dacryphilia, creampie (lemme know if I should add anything!)
Notes: alternate title: my strange addiction (kang taehyun) this fic is nawt meant to be taken seriously!! (I blacked out halfway through writing and editing this) Can you tell that I have tropes that just have a deathly chokehold on me? Embarrassing…
Kang Taehyun feels his heart stop the moment he sees your car pull up.
A peaceful, thirty-minute break quickly turns into a meditation session the moment he sees your hot pink Porsche convertible pull up, straight from a Barbie movie as the fuzzy dice that hang from the mirror bounce around— even from the top of the hill where the parking lot is at, he’s still able to spot you with eerie ease.
You’re as energetic and bubbly as ever as you exit the car, laughing with your friends as you fail to notice Taehyun’s heated stare; your friends however, are much quicker to catch him, sharing knowing looks amongst themselves and laughing softly.
His face feels hot as he quickly looks back down, his gaze downcast as he goes to scroll on his phone as a distraction— like instinct, he opens Instagram, your newest story popping up on his feed as he finds himself gulping nervously.
Beach day!! >v< the picture is captioned, your bright smile practically blinding as you pose with your friends— you practically steal the spotlight with ease however, especially when you’re wearing a pink halter top with a Hawaiian flower pattern that exposes your breasts perfectly, the dip allowing your gold necklaces to rest in between.
God, Taehyun sighs, running a hand through his hair as he hears your bubbly laugh from a distance, it’s so difficult having such a hot girlfriend.
A hot girlfriend who’s practically an influencer, he adds, counting down the minutes before he has to go back on duty as he remembers how successful your social media page has become. You didn’t mean to do it on purpose— you simply wanted to document your life and style like any other person would— but it seems as though you attracted much more attention than you anticipated.
A few hundred thousand followers and plenty of sponsorships later, however, you quickly found yourself titled a true “queencard”— not that you wanted to be, anyway.
You took your newfound “fame” with a grain of salt however, living your life as normal and continuing to document your lavish and busy lifestyle— in turn, Taehyun asked you to keep your relationship on the more private side.
It wasn’t that Taehyun didn’t want to be seen with you; if anything, he adored showing you off, enjoying the way no one could take their eyes off you whenever you entered a room— off his girlfriend. He was very vocal about the love and pride he held for you, but he also preferred to keep his life away from the media. And like the angel you are, you accepted his wishes without any hesitation.
Like Taehyun, you absolutely adored your partner; you were quite obsessed with him, honestly. If he’d let you, you’d fill your feed with him, your camera roll that was already filled with pictures of him begging to be posted as your mind told you that he could be an influencer as well— because who were you kidding, he’s so smoking hot.
“Girl, you need to stop staring before you start drooling,” Chaewon says, helping Wonyoung unload the bags from the car as they begin to laugh and tease you. You simply whine at her comment, biting your lip before you force yourself to look away; how could someone look so attractive by just scrolling on their phone?
“I can’t help it,” you cry, taking a beach bag from Wonyoung in order to help, “he’s just sooo hot!”
“And you let us know every time,” Wonyoung laughs, nudging your side as she gestures toward the beach before her, “don’t you at least wanna get closer?”
Like an eager puppy, you nod, getting a head start as you walk down the steep path towards the beach; you can hear your friends yelling at you to be careful, but all you can currently think about is Taehyun— Taehyun and his rippling muscles, Taehyun and his tan skin that’ll be left exposed to the hot sun, Taehyun and his chain that you love to tug on when he’s on top of you…
Oh my god, you realize with dread, your thighs rubbing together as you stop to wait for your friends, I’m so horny right now.
The curse of having such a hot boyfriend— you literally got soaking wet from the very thought of him.
The last thing you would do is have your friends realize, however, much too embarrassed to let them in on your more intimate thoughts as you scan the beach, looking past the groups of people for a good spot to settle down; lucky for you, you find a spot between the lifeguard tower and a concessions stand.
“Here here here!” You yell, running towards the spot without hesitation as your friends are forced to keep up; you ignore the feeling of the sand slipping into your sandal pumps, much more distracted by the fact that you’ll be able to see your boyfriend on duty.
Taehyun, ever the innocent victim of your antics, remains clueless as to where you’re setting up at the moment; he sits at the tables on the other side of the concession stand, still scrolling through his phone as he counts down the minutes before he’s on duty once more— sighing, he looks up from his device, his eyes scanning the hill before him as he inevitably finds your car— he can’t help but frown once he sees that you’re no longer there.
Where could you have run off to, he wonders, walking over to the headquarters in order to go back on rotation— he’s unable to stop thinking about you, already dreading how much of a distraction you’ll be to him as he makes his way over to his platform— only to stop, his breath stuttering as he sees the very sight he’s been dreading. (See: fantasizing.)
You’re wearing that same denim mini-skirt that always drives Taehyun crazy— actually, you’re not even wearing it anymore, his teeth sinking into his lip as he watches you strip innocently. The bikini bottom you wear matches your top, the same pink with the Hawaiian flower pattern; the shameful excuse of a bottom barely covers you, yet you don’t really seem to notice as you tie a sheer beach skirt around your hips.
Dangerously, you pull your shirt over your head; and if Taehyun wasn’t flustered enough by your bottoms, the matching top definitely did the trick— how it barely managed to cover you almost impressed Taehyun, his mouth drying as he took note of the way you tied all the strings into cute little bows, adorning your hips and back as your friends complimented you over the cute set— puffing your chest out proudly, Taehyun swore he almost fell to his knees as he took note of the piercings that poked through the thin fabric.
Oh god. He’s screwed.
You and your friends are quick to set everything up; you’re eager to lay back against the towel as Wonyoung runs to the ocean, yelling at the two of you to go with her as she laughs with joy.
“No thanks, I’ll stay here,” you say, getting comfortable as you stretch under the sun, the warmth making you smile as you reassure Chaewon, “Actually, I think the place over there has a mini bar— I might go get a drink.”
With one last goodbye and a yell along the lines of get me one, I’ll meet you there! Chaewon leaves, sand kicking up behind her as she begins to chase after Wonyoung; the two look beyond happy as they enter the water, the sight endearing as you finally get up.
Unbeknownst to you, Taehyun watches like a hawk; he couldn’t get his eyes off you even if he wanted to, the sway of your hips and the shining sun on your skin much too enticing as he watches you leave, bitterly taking note of the way the men nearby begin to drool over you.
Taehyun isn’t an insecure person— he’s far from it, and he knows damn well that you’d choose him over any other man on this beach. But he’s also tempted to run after you, to claim you as his and show everyone just how much you like him— but he remains professional, feeling his ears turn red as he snaps out of his lewd fantasies.
You haven’t even talked to him, but he’s already feeling desperate for you.
Being a lifeguard has its perks— today’s perk comes in the form of his tall seat, being able to get a good look at the whole beach, and you. More specifically, the way you cutely lean against the counter of the bar, pouting like always as you take a second to stare at the menu.
“So…” you trail off, pursuing your lips before you’re smacking your lips, tapping your ID rhythmically against the wood as you feel the worker staring at you intently, “I’ll just have two margaritas. And a water. Please?”
The worker before you is bright and quick to work as he nods, stumbling over his feet for a second before he’s making you your drink; you don’t think you’ve ever seen someone work so fast as he hands you your order, sliding over an ice cold water bottle as well.
“Thank you! How much do I owe you?” You exclaim, placing your purse over the counter as you begin to dig for your wallet; only for him to interrupt you, stuttering out a quiet Oh, wait, as you look up at him with innocent doe eyes, waiting for him to continue.
“It’s on the house,” he smiles, watching as you can only let your jaw drop at his words; unsure of what to do, you glance back at your order, left speechless as you take a second, only to look back up at the worker in surprise.
“Really?” You ask breathily, tilting your head as you lean in closer to read their name tag— Jay simply nods, smiling sweetly as they reassure you that you don’t need to pay, “Oh, you’re so sweet!”
You’re laughing at the way Jay turns slightly red, surprised at his kind act as you ask one last time if it’s really okay— he reassures you once more, opening his mouth to say something before another customer is approaching, taking his attention as he reluctantly leaves your side.
Taking a sip of your drink, you can’t help but feel the smile stuck on your face as Chaewon finally appears to join you; she’s soaking wet as she stands with you under the shade of the bar, thanking you with a cute smile as she takes the margarita you hand her.
“How much? I’ll pay you back,” Chaewon says, gesturing at the drink before her as you simply shake your head in response.
“No need. It was free!” You say, giggling at the way Chaewon looks at you incredulously.
“Free?” She echoes, watching as you only nod eagerly in response, “how?”
“Dunno,” you say, licking at the rim that’s dusted with sugar, “that Jay guy was just really sweet!”
“Or attracted to you,” Chaewon muses, nudging you playfully as she gives you a mischievous grin— she laughs as you shake your head defensively, painfully unaware of your pretty privilege as you fail to notice the way Jay glances back at you, clearly hoping to talk to you again.
“I got this for Wonyoung,” you say, gesturing to the cold water bottle that’s currently dripping over the counter, “gonna go give it to her, wanna come with?”
Chaewon shakes her head, gesturing to her unfinished drink as she tells you to go ahead; watching you go ahead, she waits for you to get out of earshot, turning to the employee before she’s narrowing her eyes at him.
“Can I get a water please?”
Without another glance, Jay nods— “That’ll be one-fifty.”
Barking out a laugh, Chaewon grins, proving her theory right as she watches Jay turn red from the realization that she caught on— being friends with you proved to come with more benefits than she realized, she thinks, biting back another smile as she goes to drink her margarita. Turning around, she watches you fondly— and more specifically, the way you begin to walk past the volleyball game that’s going on, making your way back to your setup as the men playing begin to take notice of you.
“Hey baby,” a man calls out, drawing your attention as you simply hum politely in response, “Why don’t you come play with us?”
You can only muster out a soft laugh at that, shaking your head as you ignore the way your body begins to heat up from all the attention; shyly, you refuse their offer, unsure of what to say as you feel their eyes taking you in slowly.
“Oh, I’m not that good,” you say, shaking off their amused laughs as you hold Wonyoung’s water bottle close to you, feeling the perspiration drip onto your forearm, “I probably wouldn’t be very useful on your team.”
Your response is genuine; you know you’re not good at volleyball after countless failed attempts to learn, much more content sitting on the sidelines and watching your perfect boyfriend absolutely dominate during his games— the thought is enough to have you fighting back a fond smile, brought back to reality by the way the man talking to you takes a step closer to you.
“ ‘s okay, I can teach you,” the man grins, spinning the volleyball expertly in his hands as his teammates nod in agreement. You’re unsure of how to refuse them now, but a sudden sharp whistle is taking all of your attention as your head whips to the source of the sound.
You practically feel like an overexcited puppy as you spot Taehyun, on duty and scolding a group of teenagers for who-knows-what. Without another thought, you run over to him, leaving the group of men who can only call for you to wait— their words fall deaf on your ears as you feel your heart beating faster, calling out his name and watching as he finally spots you running over to him.
“Hyun!” You say, waving cutely as you watch him smile fondly at you— you think your heart could burst as you practically jump into his arms, feeling him stumble back from the impact as you throw your arms around his neck fondly.
“Taehyun!! Baby, hi!!” You say, bouncing on your feet as you pull away to pepper kisses on his cheek; all he can do is laugh as he falls victim to you, muttering a soft “okay, okay” as he pats your back fondly.
“Baby, baby, I’m still working,” Taehyun reminds you, watching you pull away with a small oh right, that tumbles from your lips. His hands are still on your waist as his fingers trace over the fabric of your beach skirt, and you can’t help the way you burst into giggles as you take him in.
“What, what’re you laughing at?” He asks, brows raising as he tilts his head curiously; you can only shake your head, wiping the bottom of your lip as you attempt to calm down.
“My lip gloss is all over you,” you say, watching as he simply laughs at your comment, his dimple on display as he reaches up to rub at his cheek— it barely works, but he doesn’t seem to mind much as he finally lets go of you.
“Did you get yourself a drink, pretty?” He says, nodding his head at the water bottle you hold in your hands; you nod, smiling happily as you recount the events that happened in your head.
“Yeah, the worker there is super sweet,” you gush, glancing back at where you see Chaewon still leaning against the counter, waving at you happily as you’re quick to return the gesture, “he gave me my drinks for free.”
“Did he now?” Taehyun asks, raising a brow at you as he watches you nod innocently. Glancing back at the shop, he sees Jay, who can only avert his eyes and hide from his sight. Looking back at you, his gaze softens as he takes in the way you practically glow under the sun, “that’s very nice of him.”
Taehyun wishes nothing more than to be able to go back off duty and enjoy his time with you; instead, he needs to wait another four hours before he can properly show you just how happy he is to see you— unbeknownst to you of course, much too eager to be outside on such a nice day as you ramble about things with no clear end in sight.
“I need to go back to work, baby,” Taehyun sighs, smiling at the way you begin to whine immediately, “I know, I know— I wish I wasn’t working today either.”
Bringing you in closer, he places a soft kiss on the tip of your nose before he’s taking a step back, the dazed smile you send him enough to have his heart fluttering as he returns it without a thought.
“ ‘m just happy I get to see you.”
His words clearly affect you as you attempt to stutter a response, hitting him with a whine the moment he tries to laugh at you fondly— you can tell he’s reluctant to leave, but the same group of teenagers as before seem to be causing a ruckus once more as he sighs, bidding you goodbye before he’s off.
You can only stand and stare with dismay, pouting as you watch him turn his back to you— his toned, broad back, with a waist so small you’d do anything to wrap your arms around it— or even better, your legs…
You groan as the same dangerous train of thought begins to hit you, your eyes squeezing shut as you force yourself to turn around— to walk straight to where Wonyoung lays without glancing back at your boyfriend, the task much harder than you’d think as you hear his sharp voice scolding the group of teenagers.
He sounds so hot, you think to yourself, wanting nothing more than to run away with your man and have him fuck you stupid behind the concession stand, oh my god, I want him so bad.
“Wow, this thing is freezing,” Wonyoung says, taking the water bottle from your hands gratefully. Watching as you slump down next to her, Wonyoung pauses, trying to guess what might be wrong before she follows your line of sight.
“Ah,” she mutters, taking a long drink from her water before she sighs, “Are you sad you can’t talk to your boyfriend?”
“He’s being professionalll,” you groan, throwing a hand over your eyes as you lay back, the pout forming on your face second nature at this point, “I just wish he’d stay over here!”
“It’d be a danger to the public if he just stopped doing his job,” Wonyoung reasons, watching the way you reluctantly agree with her, “plus, it was your idea to visit while he was on duty.”
“I didn’t think he’d look so fucking hot!” You admit, crossing your arms over your chest in defeat as Wonyoung simply laughs in amusement. Opening your eyes, you’re surprised to find Chaewon looming over you, a smile on her face as she takes her seat on her towel beside you.
“You always think he looks hot. Also, the bartender over there totally wants you.” Chaewon pipes up, calling Wonyoungs name as she gestures to the water bottle in her hands before gesturing back to the mini-bar.
“Don’t tell me,” Wonyoung says, staring down at the item in her hand as Chaewon nods in confirmation, “wow, that’s pretty impressive.”
“It’s nothing, he was just being nice!” You refute, ever an airhead and your friends simply shake their heads in response, “It’s true!”
“He didn’t bother looking back in my direction once you left,” Chaeryeong points out, glaring playfully at Wonyoung who laughs at her comment, “not to mention, those guys playing volleyball were literally drooling over you.”
“Wait, I saw that— I was kind of scared for a second,” Wonyoung admits, Chaewon nodding along as she confesses that she was about to jump in when you finally managed to escape, “you’re so lucky you managed to leave before things got weird.”
To be honest, you stopped listening around that last part— well, it’s not like you weren’t listening, it’s more like you weren’t really contributing to the conversation as you take notice of Taehyun, more specifically the way he’s playing with a child around the shallow end of the ocean, watching as he manages to make the child laugh, his eyes bright and fond as he takes good care of the toddler.
The sight practically has you melting, and you’re forced to bite your lip to suppress your smile— but then again, you’ve never really been good at hiding things— especially with the way you find your friends looking in the direction you are, the two of them sporting knowing smiles as they exchange a look.
“Oh girl,” Wonyoung sighs, going to lay on her back as she puts on her sunglasses, “you’re drooling again.”
Shit, you totally were.
-♡-
The next three and a half hours pass by painfully slowly— for Taehyun, at least.
It seems that you’re finally able to take your eyes off him after a period of adjustment, and he’s able to watch from his post as you enjoy yourself in the ocean, splashing around with your friends as the three of you have fun and remain carefree.
Carefree is probably one of the last words Taehyun would use to describe himself at the moment— it was a given that being a lifeguard was unpredictable and difficult, but being on duty while having his hot girlfriend that attracted attention like a magnet there with him was next-level.
He couldn’t even begin to count the number of times someone managed to hit on you in the past hour— from what he saw, at least— it was ridiculous, really, even more so because you were never able to pick up on it. Ever.
Taehyun couldn’t take his eyes off you for one second without a new person approaching you; he chalks it up to both your beauty and the fact that you’re one of the most approachable people Taehyun has ever met.
He’s never been happier to own sunglasses than today— or else you definitely would’ve caught him watching carefully as a random woman your age offered to put sunscreen on you, your friends back in the ocean as you opted to take a moment to rest under the sun instead.
“Your swimsuit is so cute,” she told you, her voice filled with a flirty lilt as it managed to travel to Taehyun’s ears; you had been as clueless as ever, holding your top up with your hands as you allowed her to untie your string and lotion your back— he tried to give this random stranger the benefit of the doubt, but it was really difficult to with the way she massaged you gently and leaned over to speak into your ear.
“Are you single?” The implications of her words barely registered in your head before thoughts of Taehyun were overpowering your brain, a smile involuntarily tugging at your lips as you tried to hold back your giddy giggles in order to answer.
“She’s not.”
You could feel the woman’s hands still on your shoulder as the two of you looked up, your smile only widening as your eyes met Taehyun’s— at least you think, he was currently wearing sunglasses. (Which he looked really hot in, of course. You think you would’ve jumped on him by now if it weren’t for the risk of you flashing the entire beach.)
“Oh, I’m sorry,” the woman behind you said, laughing nervously as she quickly went to stand; you couldn’t help but be confused by the way she hurriedly said goodbye to you, but all your questions were answered once you turned around to meet Taehyun’s irritated face, his brows pulled together in a frown as he let out a soft tsk.
“Hyun, are you jealous?” The question is enough to have him snap out of his daze, blinking wildly behind his shades before he’s pushing them up and onto his head, pushing his wet hair back and exposing his forehead as he did; looking down at you, he can’t help but soften at the sight of you and your cute wide eyes, letting out a soft chuckle before he’s patting your head fondly.
“No, I’m not.”
You watch as he settles down behind you, taking the previous woman’s spot as he murmurs for you to turn around. You’re facing forward once more, taking in the pretty sight of the beach as you shift on your knees, sitting back on your legs as you wait for him to do something.
“You looked pretty jealous,” you muse, looking down to watch as he takes the sunscreen bottle that was left at your side; the smell of the lotion fills your senses once more as you hear him open it, squeezing some on his palm as the sound of his airy laugh reaches your ears.
“Well, it’s not exactly nice to watch another person feeling up my girl,” he reasons, watching as you straighten up at his comment, “why didn’t you ask your friends for help baby?”
“Mmmh, they’re busy and she offered to help,” you confess, shivering at the feeling of the cold lotion against your shoulders, “and she was not feeling me up.”
Unbeknownst to you, Taehyun can’t help but feel frustrated at your comment— your naivety made it difficult to make a point sometimes, and this was one of those moments as he was unable to stop the deep sigh that escaped him.
“She wasn’t?” He asks, and you can’t help but gasp as you feel his touch become further; fingers digging into your flesh, massaging your shoulders tenderly as he leans in close to whisper into your ear, his hands roaming your body so slowly you think you might melt, “so what do you feel now that I’m doing it?”
Horny.
“I… I feel like I’m in the wrong,” you admit, stuttering softly as he begins to come back up to your shoulders, his dainty hands going past your collarbones and down your arms; slowly, he makes his way down, leaning forward as he does so until he’s pressed firmly against your back— his firm chest against your back, his hands reaching for your own as he interlocks his fingers with yours.
You can feel his hair tickle against your neck as he presses a slow kiss against the back of your shoulder, biting your lip as you fight back the desperate whine that threatens to escape from you.
“Glad you realize,” he laughs softly, letting go of you and sitting back as he takes a moment to inspect the beach; you can’t help the sadness that fills you as he begins to stand, only to pause as he notices your dejected state.
“Do you need any more help?” He asks slowly, watching as you nod happily before you’re laying down across the towel; he thinks he might lose his job as you look back at him, batting your eyes prettily as you send him a coy smile.
“Do the rest for me?”
Taehyun hesitates. On one hand, it wasn’t very professional of him to lotion up his incredibly gorgeous girlfriend while on duty— not that the public was aware of the fact that you two were together, anyway— but on the other hand…
“How could I say no to you,” Taehyun sighs, kneeling at your side and taking the lotion bottle from you as he decides fuck it— he has half an hour left anyway.
Your skin is warm to the touch; both of you are sighing in contentment the moment his hands meet your skin, massaging the lotion into the rest of your back as he tries to remain as professional as possible.
You, on the other hand, are not doing that great.
If there’s one thing that tests your self-control more than anything, it’s Taehyun— especially Taehyun that has his hands all over you, his touch firm and soothing as he begins to massage the back of your thighs— if he sees you squeeze them together, he doesn’t bother to let on, your mind fogging with horrible and lewd thoughts that would have your boyfriend red and flustered within seconds.
The last of your resolve crumbles the moment his fingers ghost over your waist; dipping under the skimpy string of your bikini bottom, reaching toward the back before he begins to cop a feel— you can feel your breathing begin to pick up as he’s moving up, tickling against your sides before he’s reaching past your top; fingers massaging against the sides of your breasts, cupping what he can before he’s squeezing coyly. Flustered, you bury your head into your arms, listening to the way he laughs teasingly, his hands drifting away just as quickly as they appeared before he’s going to ask you if you’re alright teasingly.
“I need you,” You whine, the words muffled against your arms as you dig your head deeper into your arms.
“Hmm?”
This seems to be your last straw; sitting up, you scramble to keep your top on as you turn around to face Taehyun, taking him in in all his sun-kissed glory, sure that you look beyond flustered and destroyed by now.
“Taehyun, I need you so bad,” you whine out, scooting closer to him as you watch his eyes widen with your unhinged rambling, “I’ve been trying to be good this whole time and distract myself, but it’s so fucking hard because I’ve been wet from just looking at you— Hyun baby, I’m so hmmf—!”
Taehyun is impressed by how easily you’re able to fluster him— he’s sure his ears are completely red as he presses his palm firmly against your mouth, taking in the way you look at him with wide, teary, and fucked out eyes.
He takes a deep breath in order to control the dangerous feeling of desire that flows through him.
Exhaling deeply, he takes a second to look at the clock posted by the headquarters— he feels his body relax with relief as he slowly pulls his hand away from you, giving you a warning look before he gestures at the time.
“Fifteen minutes,” he says, leaning in and muttering the words in his deep, glorious voice, “can you be good for me for another fifteen minutes?”
You think you might die if you don’t take him right now.
“Yeah,” you breathe out shakily, watching as Taehyun laughs at your pathetic state.
“Good,” he says, standing up and getting ready to leave before another lifeguard realizes he’s been talking to you this whole time, “just wait for me, baby.”
You’re a bit dejected as you watch him leave you, back to being his perfect and professional self as he spots abandoned swimming equipment from the rental shop; he can feel your heated gaze on him the entire time, forced to stifle a laugh as he glances back in your direction curiously— you’re shamelessly staring, a pout on your face as you carefully re-tie your top once more.
Please, you think to yourself, choosing to lie back against your towel and clear out your thoughts, your eyes fluttering shut as you take a deep breath, please let these next fifteen minutes pass quickly.
-♡-
Taehyun knows the exact second his fifteen minutes are up— only because you trot up to him like an excited puppy, your beach skirt flowing in the wind as you wave at him excitedly.
“Will you let me clock out at least?” Taehyun asks, letting out an amused laugh as you immediately attach yourself to his side; you give him a quick nod of your head in response, telling him to lead the way as you refuse to leave him anytime soon.
“Missed you so much,” you say, eyes sparkling as Taehyun can only throw his head back and laugh in bewilderment at your comment, “I’m serious! It’s hard to keep my hands off you, Hyunnie.”
“Don’t worry, I feel the same,” he hums, slowing his steps to place a gentle peck on your cheek, “Wait for me? I’ll only be a moment.”
Nodding happily, you tell him you’ll go get him a drink— you know he could use it, taking in his tired steps as he walks back to headquarters with a sigh— turning around, you spot your friends already at the bar, waving you over as you make your way to them happily.
“He’s finally off?” Chaewon asks, watching as you nod with a bright smile on your face, “that’s good. You two can spend some time together now— especially now that the sun is beginning to set.”
“Not that you weren’t already,” Wonyoung teases, watching as you try to defend yourself with useless stutters as she continues to poke fun at you.
“I— can I just get a water?” Giving up on trying to win the argument, you turn back to the same worker from earlier, watching as Jay jumps in surprise the moment your eyes meet his.
“Oh, of course,” he mutters, placing the ice-cold refreshment before he clears his throat, face turning red as he avoids eye contact with you, “you don’t owe me anything, we’re closing soon and the register is already locked.”
Letting out an embarrassed laugh, you can’t help but glance at your friends, feeling your face become hot as they send you sly looks; Jay seems to be just as flustered as you, bowing politely before turning around and resuming his closing tasks— biting your lip, you suppress another laugh, your friends already mouthing things along the lines of I told you so, as you simply push them playfully, looking around to see if Taehyun has come back yet.
“This for me baby?” Taehyun’s hand is warm on your waist as he appears behind you, looking over your shoulder and smiling as you eagerly hand him the water bottle in return.
He’s quick to drink, much thirstier than he realized as he practically begins to gulp it down; he can feel your stare on him the whole time, fighting back a smile as he closes his eyes in an attempt to ignore it.
He looks like a model, you think, watching him fondly with hearts in your eyes; the day hasn’t looked nicer than it does now, the beach almost empty now that the sun has almost set and the weather growing cooler as the waves crash against the shore, the golden rays of the sun practically leave Taehyun glowing. Playfully, he pushes you away, unable to hold back his laugh any longer as he scolds you to stop staring! You can only laugh sheepishly as you try to deny doing so, but you know he’d never believed you from how clingy you’ve been with him all day.
“You’re so sweet Jay,” Taehyun smiles, the said male practically jumping out of his skin at the mention of his name; turning around slowly, he laughs awkwardly, meeting eyes with Taehyun, who snakes an arm around your waist and pulls you closer as he tilts his head teasingly, “for not charging my girl. I appreciate it.”
“Yeah, of course,” Jay stutters, eyes downcast as he feels his face burning from the attention, “figured it was for you, so I didn’t bother ringing it up.”
Taehyun only hums in appreciation at the man’s comment, slightly irritated at the way he’s able to lie through his teeth so easily; turning away from him, he takes the chance to look at you, smiling fondly and leaning in for a chaste kiss that has you melting against him.
“Gross. Get a room you two,” Chaewon scoffs, covering Wonyoung’s eyes playfully as the two tease you endlessly.
“Gladly,” Taehyun smiles mischievously, rolling his eyes at the way your friends gag in response, pulling you against him as you steady yourself with a hand on his chest, “mind if I steal her away from you guys for a bit?”
“Go ahead,” Chaewon says, waving the two of you away with ease, “bring her back in one piece, please.”
I’ll try, is all Taehyun says, pulling you along and laughing at the way you eagerly follow along with one last goodbye to your friends, clueless to the way Taehyun’s jaw ticks with annoyance as he pulls you away from your friends— and right towards headquarters, making his way to the back of the building, secluded by trees and the hill you came from.
“Tae, what’re we doing here—?” Your sentence is briefly cut off with Taehyun’s mouth against yours, the kiss harsh and desperate as you quickly become a mess of spit, moaning weakly against Taehyun’s mouth as he sinks his teeth into your bottom lip.
The string of saliva that connects you two as he pulls away has you whining breathily, steadying yourself with two hands placed firmly on his shoulders as you allow him to corner you, walking backward as his firm hold on your hips forces you to be pressed against the wall.
“You drive me so fucking crazy,” he growls in frustration, attaching his lips right under your ear as he begins to suck— you’re gasping in response, clinging onto him desperately as you already feel your knees become weak. Pulling away from you, his dark gaze meets yours, heated and sharp as he takes in your fucked out state.
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to have my pretty girl get flirted with by everyone that lays their eyes on her?” He asks, shifting your hips towards him as he slots his thigh between yours with ease, “to just watch it happen because she’s too much of an airhead to realize what’s happening in front of her?”
The whimper that escapes you from his words is downright embarrassing; but it’s enough to have Taehyun’s lips back on yours, eager to keep you quiet as his fingers begin to play with the strings of your bikini.
If there’s one thing Taehyun is an expert at, it’s pleasing you with every part of his body— which is exactly why he’s able to have you turn into a mess under him in seconds, flexing his thigh and bouncing it as his strong hands force your hips down on him more; he’s controlling your every movement, his grip on you bruising as you wonder if it’ll leave a mark on you later.
“You’re already wet,” Taehyun muses, feeling the way you claw at him uselessly, throwing your head back against the wall as you try to set the pace yourself, only to fail miserably, “barely took anything and you’re already dripping all over me.”
The pleasure becomes overwhelming as Taehyun begins to litter kisses all over you, biting at you softly as he slowly begins to make his way down to your breasts; with a breathy moan, you jut out your chest, the sight making Taehyun let out an airy laugh as his eyes flicker back up to your face to watch your expression carefully.
“Such pretty tits,” Taehyun grins, kissing on top of the fabric as he watches your eyes flutter shut, his eyes flickering back down to the metal that pushes against the thin top, “which ones are you wearing today baby?”
“The ones you got me,” you reply, biting your lip as you open your eyes, clouded with lust as you grind a little harder against Taehyun’s thigh, “the heart ones.”
His warm mouth against your breast is enough to have you letting out a sigh of contentment; a hand immediately threads itself in his hair as you feel his tongue laving over your nipple through the fabric, tracing the jewelry carefully as you jut your chest out to him in response. His hand comes up to slip itself under the fabric of your swimsuit, grabbing your breast and squeezing teasingly before he begins to circle your other nipple.
You feel dizzy, his touch practically everywhere as your eyes flutter shut, trying your best to keep your noises to a minimum as you bite your lip— but it’s useless, especially with the way he’s practically on you, his warm body on yours as you’re able to feel his erection against you.
Whining hopelessly, you let go of his hair, allowing your hand to trail down as you get a good feel of his body— his strong muscles, his abs that flex in anticipation as you begin pawing at his swim shorts.
“Please please please,” you cry, slipping a hand past the barriers and stroking his dick slowly, your hips picking up the pace as you hear him groan lowly into your ear, “please fuck me Hyun, I need you so bad and I’ve been waiting so patiently for you…”
“Have you?” Taehyun asks, relishing in the way your hand struggles to keep a pace, shivering slightly at the way you tighten your grip on him for a second, “because all seen today is the way my little attention whore of a girlfriend can’t survive if my eyes aren’t on her for a second.”
“Did you have fun seeing the way everyone else drooled over you?” He asks, pulling your hand away from him harshly before he’s stepping in between your legs, hooking one of them around his waist before he begins to grind against you, “did you like seeing me jealous, sweet thing?”
“I didn’t mean to,” you gasp, feeling him prod against your entrance as he unties your beach skirt with deft fingers, the cloth fluttering to the ground as he begins to grind against you harder, “I didn’t know—!”
“Oh, you didn’t know?” He mocks, taking pity on you for a second before his gaze is hardening again, “you never know, dumb little thing.”
It’s almost shameful how hard your pussy clenches at his words; you’ve made a mess of your bottom as Taehyun groans, eyes catching the way you’ve left a damp spot already.
“God, you really can’t control yourself, hmm?” He asks, cooing at you softly as he takes in the way you’ve already begun to tear up. The sound of distant voices has him pausing, and you feel as though you’re afraid to breathe as your wide eyes meet Taehyun’s.
“Did Taehyun leave already?” The voice is immediately recognizable as Taehyun narrows his eyes, listening to Yeonjun, one of the other lifeguards on rotation today, talk to someone else.
“Yeah… he left a few minutes ago,” Jay responds, and you can’t help but raise a brow as Taehyun takes a step away from you, about to mouth what are you doing? before he’s sinking to his knees before you, throwing a leg over his shoulder as you can only watch helplessly.
“With that one girl?” Yeonjun asks, your eyes widening as you glance over in the direction the sound comes from; you’re quickly brought to the man in front of you as he begins to litter kisses all over your inner thigh, biting the skin softly as he murmurs eyes on me. Shakily, you nod, letting out a shaky breath as the conversation from the two filters back to you two once more.
“Yeah, you saw her?” Jay says— Taehyun’s nimble fingers are undoing the ties of your bottoms with such ease that you can’t help but gasp as the fabric slips off, your pussy left for display as your boyfriend takes in how needy you are with a satisfied smile.
Taehyun’s tongue is warm and teasing as he circles it over your clit, letting his spit coat you freely before he’s pressing firm kisses against your bud— you're forced to slap a hand over your mouth as he begins to suck on it, his tongue running over the sensitive bud as you feel your thighs shaking around his head; his hair is wet and ticklish as it touches the sensitive skin of your inner thighs, and you’re forced to concentrate in order to not let an embarrassing sound slip from your lips.
“Man, of course I did— she was fucking hot,” Yeonjun’s confession is enough to have Taehyun working harder, fingers prodding at your entrance and eagerly stretching you out as you choke back on a moan— in any other situation, you would be loud enough that Taehyun would have to stop to tease you about it, but the thought of either of them hearing you was much too mortifying as Taehyun began to slowly pump his fingers.
Your body said otherwise, however.
“I saw you give her those drinks for free,” Yeonjun teased, and you listened to the way Jay simply groaned at the reminder; you, on the other hand, were forced to remain quiet, your eyes rolling to the back of your head the moment Taehyun added a third finger, picking up his pace and bringing you closer to your high as you began to rock your hips against his face subconsciously, feeling his tongue beginning to wander as it licked all over your pussy— curling his fingers, you sighed, feeling the way he flattened his tongue against your clit before he began to pump his fingers once more.
“I thought I’d try to make a move on her or something,” Jay confesses, the embarrassed tone to his voice not lost on you as you feel yourself grow hot— your hand presses harder against your mouth as you reach down to thread your fingers through Taehyun’s hair, pulling him closer against your pussy as you subtly try to communicate that you’re close; he seems to get the hint as he does his best to keep his ministrations up, your eyes squeezing shut as their conversation continues to flow into your ears.
“But that was before I knew she was his girl,” Jay says, sighing as Yeonjun replies with an incredulous seriously? “Yeah, you should’ve seen the way he looked at me when he caught on, man. I was scared for my life.”
You’re sure you know how Taehyun was looking at him— at least, if it’s any resemblance to the way he looks at you now, his eyes filled with pure possessiveness and anger that it has you coming undone in seconds, a weak moan escaping through your hand as you squeeze your eyes shut. Taehyun helps you ride out your orgasm diligently, the lewd sounds of his tongue cleaning you up making you flustered as you cover your face in embarrassment.
He’s sucking teasing marks all over your inner thighs once more before he’s standing back up, prying your fingers apart gently as he whispers for you to look at him; your eyes are needy as you blink up at him, and Taehyun swears you’ve never looked more beautiful as you practically glow before him, his eyes darkening at the reminder that you’re all his— his coworkers could only dream of getting close to you, let alone having you in the position he does now.
“My pretty girl,” he sighs out, smiling at the way you throw your arms over his shoulders, bringing him in closer until you’re pulling him in for a tender kiss— it doesn’t last long however, your breathy whines making Taehyun press against your cunt once more, feeling how much wetter it’s gotten as he begins to kiss you senseless.
“My girl,” he repeats, pulling away to trail his kisses down to your neck, beginning to suck carelessly as he feels you reach down to pull his cock out, “all mine. Mine.”
His sudden possessiveness is new to you as you can only remain pliant under him, allowing him to do whatever he wants with you as he finally aligns himself at your entrance; biting your lip, you bury your head in the crook of Taehyun’s neck, squeezing your eyes shut as you feel him tease you— rubbing the head of his cock up and down your slit, feeling the way you clench around nothing as he grinds against you subtly— it’s enough to have you digging your nails into him, whining into his ear that you need more as you feel his tip begin to nudge at your clit; you think you might lose it as you feel his precum drip all over your cunt, your hips shifting toward him involuntarily to try and chase the feeling.
Your mouth is falling open the moment he’s entering you; stretching you out, sliding in inch by inch as he feels your pussy fluttering around him uncontrollably— he can feel the way you’re gasping against his skin, and he’s hooking your leg over his waist once more as he presses you firmly against the wall of the building.
You’re shaking like a leaf against him; whining for more, biting and kissing at his skin absentmindedly as you grind against him, your cunt dripping and sucking him in as the thought of keeping quiet slowly escapes your mind.
It’s enough to have Taehyun tugging you back, pulling on your hair teasingly before he’s planting his hand firmly over your mouth— his eyes never leave yours, the conversation of the two men nearby muddled in your ears as Taehyun begins to move.
It’s slow at first, the grind of his hips against yours allowing his cock to hit deep into you, the wet sounds of your cunt around him making you feel slightly shy before the thought is completely thrown out the window— you could care less of what’s happening around you as he begins to thrust roughly against you, your body rocking from the motion and your eyes threatening to flutter shut as you feel his cock hit against your sweet spot; but you refrain from doing so, much more entranced by his gaze as he slowly begins to pick up the pace, the sounds that come from you getting more difficult to muffle as you feel yourself getting overwhelmed by the pleasure.
The reminder that there are two people that could hear you has you looking over to where they stand, feeling your heartbeat pick up from the anxiety as you eye that direction carefully— you’re quickly snapped back to reality the moment Taehyun is jerking your head back to him gently, tightening his hold on you as his gaze darkens.
“Eyes on me,” he whispers, rolling his hips just the way you like as though to make a point.
Eyes on him. Eyes only on him, you think, struggling to think anything coherent as his hand reaches up to pull your breasts out from your top, the flesh spilling out and beginning to bounce freely from the way Taehyun is fucking you— the heart jewelry that adorns your nipples shine at him, the sight making your boyfriend let out a weak moan as you feel him twitch inside you.
“So lucky to have you,” Taehyun sighs, reaching over to your other leg as he briefly lets go of your mouth— not before taking one of your hands and placing it over your mouth, pressing his hand firmly over your own as he gives you a stern look— and he hoists you up, leaving you completely at his mercy as he begins to bounce you on his cock, the feeling making you slap your other hand over your mouth as you eyes roll back from the pleasure.
“Stupid little airhead, only has eyes for me,” he rambles, laughing quietly to himself before it breaks out into another moan— he’s practically driving you into the wall behind you as he fucks into you roughly, able to set a much faster pace as he watches your tits bounce in his face lewdly, “god, so glad to have you all to myself— you’re perfect, cute little pussy was made for me.”
You clench down on him at that, feeling as though you’re going crazy from the pleasure— that, and the way your boyfriend looks, feeling your nails dig into your cheeks as you take in his messy, wet hair, his tan skin and muscles that flex from using his strength on you, and his face that’s contorted with pleasure as his lips become bruised with how much he’s biting on them— in an effort to keep himself quiet, he hovers over you, placing his head directly next to yours so he can moan and whisper to you freely.
“Wanna cum?” He asks, feeling the way you’re beginning to clench uncontrollably; frantically, you nod, tears beginning to pool in your eyes as you look at him with pure desperation in your eyes.
“Tell me you’re mine,” he grins, knowing that you’re too fucked to even speak correctly, “mine, and only mine.”
You’re trying to choke back on your sounds as you wonder if doing that is even possible— then he slows down, grinding into you and burying his cock as deep as possible as it begins to kiss your cervix— coyly, he leans down, his hair tickling your collarbone as he wraps his mouth around your breast; circling your nipple with his tongue lewdly, covering it in his spit and tracing over the heart-piercing before he’s blowing air on it— you’re shaking from the feeling of him, unsure of how you’ll do what he asks without blowing your cover completely.
“Hyun…” you whine out quietly for him, sniffling as he slows down his pace, almost stilling inside you as he watches fat tears run down your cheeks with cruel eyes, “Hyun, I’m only yours— I only want you, no one else, promise I only think of you, love you so much…”
The way you’re hiccuping from the effort to choke back on your sounds has Taehyun groaning, taking a deep breath in order not to come before he’s pressing his lips firmly against yours— then he’s resuming his pace, watching as you quickly quiet yourself as your body bounces from how hard he’s fucking you.
It’s too much— you’re falling apart the moment he’s bringing a hand over to circle your clit, supporting you against the wall and holding you up with his other arm as he watches you fall apart, his mouth opening in a silent moan as you tighten around him, pleading breathily for him to cum inside as you do so.
“Yeah? Want me to fill you up?” He asks, riding out your orgasm as he buries his head into your neck, “have you dripping with my cum while other people try to flirt with you? Give you a little reminder of who you belong to, fuck…”
With one last harsh thrust, he buries himself deep in you, finally coming undone and filling you up with his hot cum as you moan against your hand— the harsh bite he leaves on the juncture of your neck has you whimpering weakly, hands becoming limp and falling against his chest as he presses the rest of his body against you, holding you up as the two of you pant and try to regain your composure.
“You’re too good to me,” Taehyun finally sighs out, placing soothing kisses over the place he bit you, listening to the way you laugh softly in response. You’re throwing your arms over his neck as one of them moves to his nape, pulling him away from your neck and bringing him in for a sweet kiss— you’re reluctant to part as you speak, unable to hold back from pecking him between your words as you do so.
“You’re too good for me,” you say, pausing to give him a kiss, irresistible as always as he laughs breathily at your words, “you’re always putting up with me.”
“Not your fault you’re irresistible,” Taehyun smiles, watching as you grow shy under his comment despite the fact that he’s still bottomed out inside you, “I still love showing you off.”
“I wanna show you off too, you know,” you pout, hitting his chest gently before you’re pausing, biting your lip uncertainly as you tilt your head, “if you’re okay with that.”
Taehyun realizes quickly what you’re referring to, unable to stop the fond laugh that escapes him as he takes a second to think.
“Sure. I’d like that.”
It takes a second of you celebrating cheerfully to finally sober up and ask Taehyun to put you down— your legs are wobbly as you feel your face grow hot, his cum immediately leaking out of you as you whine in embarrassment for him to not stare— he can only shake his head in amusement at your antics, helping you clean up with the only thing he’s able to find at the moment.
“Wait, that’s my favorite beach skirt,” you whine, not putting up much of a fight as Taehyun kneels before you, your leg thrown over his shoulder as he cleans you up, placing gentle kisses along your inner thighs as he does so.
“I can wash it,” he replies, unable to hide his grimace as he tucks it away in his pocket; the sight is enough to have you giggling, readjusting your swimsuit and fixing your appearance before you’re hiding behind Taehyun, asking him if his coworkers are gone yet.
“The coast is clear,” he hums, scanning the nearly empty beach as he spots your friends sitting by the ocean, chatting idly amongst themselves.
“You don’t think they heard us, right?” You ask, blinking at him innocently as the belief that you did a good job keeping quiet runs through your head— the sight is enough to have Taehyun soften, letting out a sigh before he’s nodding his head.
“Yeah. You were so good for me.”
Taehyun knows better, though— but he doesn’t really mind, because now he knows that he won’t have to worry about either coworker flirting with you the next time you come to the beach.

Since people are talking about Olympic women’s boxing for all the dumb reasons, let’s try to talk about the cool stuff going on this year.
The best boxer on the women’s side at the 2024 Games is arguably Busenaz Surmeneli. A 2020 Olympic gold medalist, the 26 year old from Turkey is looking to join Claressa Shields and Nicola Adams as the only women to repeat gold medals at the Olympics. She’s a 2x world champion, a champion at the Euro Games, and Euro boxing champ. She’s set to fight in the quarterfinals against Thailand’s Janjaem Suwannapheng.
I said Surmaneli is the arguable best fighter at the games because there is another elite boxer competing - Ireland’s Kellie Harrington. Another gold medalist from the 2020 Games, Harrington is the heir to Katie Taylor’s amateur dominance for Ireland. Harrington is an accomplished amateur with world championship medals, euro championship medals, and euro games medals. She’s got wins over people like professional world champions like Caroline Dubois, Maiva Hamadouche, Beatriz Ferreira, and more. Fantastic boxer. Set to face off with Beatriz Ferreira on Saturday (Aug 3) in the semifinal for women’s 60 KG. Which is a fantastic fight.
This year, the Refugee Olympic Team’s flagbearer was a woman named Cindy Ngamba. Originally from Cameroon, the young woman lives in the UK. She was forced to flee Cameroon as a teenager and picked up boxing in the UK at 15. She’s been unable to secure citizenship or a VISA. After coming out as lesbian at 18, it was determined they couldn’t send her back to Cameroon because it is illegal in the country. While Cindy wasnt considered a big favorite, she won her round of 16 bout against 3rd ranked Tammara Thibeault of Canada. One more win would secure her a medal at women’s 75kg!
Over in women’s 57 kg, we have Ashleyann Lozada. Lozada is the first woman to make it to the Olympics from Puerto Rico! Nesthy Petecio became the first woman to ever medal at the Olympics for the Philippines in boxing (and 2nd ever) when she won silver back in Tokyo. She’s announced she will retire after this Olympic cycle and is looking to give the Philippines only its 2nd gold medal ever! There are so many personal stories that I could go into. Hell, everyone is talking about Imane Khelif but not her story. She grew up rural village in Algeria, selling scrap metal so she could get bus fare to make it to the gym. Marcelat Sakobi, of Congo, used her exit in the round of 32 to remind everyone that there is an ongoing genocide happening in Congo.

Jung Kook loathes dating apps. Almost no responses from the women he matches with, the endless swiping, and the few conversations he does have leading nowhere, make it an exhausting experience. He uses it like a game; just another mindless way to distract himself. But, deciding it was time to try to move on again, he finds himself on a Friday night dinner date with a woman, Katie, who actually said yes to meeting up at an upscale restaurant.
She was attractive, he had to admit. Blonde, great smile, and evidently intelligent in the way that she spoke to him from across the table. At least, that’s what he gathered from the little bit he heard. She says works as an assistant curator at the Guggenheim Museum. Namjoon’s type, Jung Kook thought to himself.
The waiter brought bread and wine for the table, and Jung Kook thanked him before trying to listen to the woman in front of him. He felt terrible about this date already; he could tell he wasn’t ready, and it wasn’t right to waste her time. But they’re already here, seated at a table under the dimmed lights of a high class restaurant he wouldn’t usually dine at, so he may as well enjoy his overpriced meal. It would be rude to leave, anyways.
But the exit looked more enticing when you walked through the crowded doorway, as though the universe were determined to punish Jung Kook for sins of a past life. He sat up straighter as he saw your figure trailing behind Jimin. You looked amazing, even from across the room, sporting a red dress that hugged your body in all the right places. Your hair was styled beautifully, and your heels elongated your legs in a way that he knew he could daydream about for weeks.
Jimin walked in front of you, hand intertwined with yours, wearing a cream-colored satin button-down that he had tucked into a perfectly tailored pair of black slacks. He led you through the extensive line of people attempting to get in without a reservation, as though he personally owned the place. The hostess greeted him, and Jung Kook watched as Jimin flashed her a smile and said something briefly, only for her to nod and grab two menus, not checking the list of reservations for a name. A few in line could be seen rolling their eyes and grumbling about the two of you skipping the line and being seated right away, but Jimin paid them no mind as he walked with you to a table just within Jung Kook’s line of sight. The lawyer was thankful that neither of you noticed he was also there, and that his date didn’t seem to notice he was thoroughly distracted from her endless stories.
He watched as Jimin pulled out your chair and helped you in, and leaned down to give you a soft peck on the lips before going to his seat. It had been years since Jung Kook has seen you kiss another man, and he forgot how much it hurt. Especially with the way you look at Jimin, as though he were the only person in the room.
“… So our collections manager, David, was doing condition reports for the Yayoi Kusama piece, and he realized it had been slightly bent during shipping. It was a whole thing for like a week, just trying to get that figured out.” Katie said, oblivious to the state Jung Kook was in as she continued her work stories, and took a bite of her caesar salad.
“I bet that was frustrating.” Jung Kook half-heartedly responded, his eyes continuing to glance over at your table.
He saw Jimin reach into his pocket to pull our his iPhone, and flash you an apologetic smile. Your fiancé’s lips formed a quick “I’m so sorry, honey” before getting up from the table and taking the call outside, leaving you sitting alone. You sadly picked at your caprese salad meant for two with your fork, making Jung Kook frown.
“It was super frustrating.” Katie laughed. “But, it’s solved now. What about your work? I’m sure you have lots of frustrating cases and clients.”
“Yeah.” Jung Kook chuckled, before stabbing a piece of his tortellini with his fork. “You could definitely put it that way.”
“Wanna talk about it?” She asked, reading the change in his mood.
“I mean, I can’t really. Confidentiality, y'know.”
“Oh, right. Ok.” She responded awkwardly, taking another bite of her food.
Jung Kook glanced outside, noticing Jimin running his fingers through his blonde locks and speaking animatedly in apparent growing frustration with whoever was on the other side of the call. He hung up seconds later, anger clearly painted on his face. Jimin went back to the table, bumping into people on his way back in, and you attempted to talk to him while he sat down, but Jung Kook couldn’t make out what you were saying from his distance. Jimin shook his head, not meeting your gaze, and got up once again moment later, but this time heading towards the restaurant’s bar. Your waiter came by right as Jimin left, and Jung Kook watched you flash him a sad yet dignified, rehearsed smile. It was one he’s seen before; you were trying to keep it together.
“Are you alright?” Katies question broke through to him.
“I’m alright. I’m sorry, I’ve just… Been distracted lately. Work stress, with my clients.” Jung Kook admitted. “I’m sorry if you’re not having a good night.”
“No, please, it’s totally ok. I understand.” She said, her eyes somehow balancing both empathy and flirtation. “Do you wanna just get out of here?”
He read between the lines and knew what she was really asking. Do you want to sleep with me tonight? He thought for a second, glancing over at you, sitting alone. What could he do? If he tried to talk to you, Jimin would have him fired from his firm without hesitation. Besides, he needed to move on. This wasn’t exactly that, per se, but maybe it could be a step.
“Yeah.” Jung Kook said, nodding as though trying to convince himself of what he was agreeing to. “Yeah, let’s get out of here. I’ll grab the check. My place?”
“Sounds great.” She said with a grin.
He flagged down the waiter to ask for the check, ready to escape the restaurant, and his pained heart, even if just for the night. The pair got up from their table, and he sweetly held out his hand for her to take. As they began walking towards the front door to exit, Jung Kook’s eyes involuntarily looked over at you once last time. He immediately wished he hadn’t, when he noticed your gaze was already set on him.
You gave him a half-smile, and a brief but polite wave. You noticed the gorgeous woman he was with, and the way their hands interlocked. I thought he said he wasn’t seeing anyone. You thought to yourself, and you wondered why there was a small, yet noticeable, pain in your chest. She’s really pretty.
You chalked up the lingering sadness in your heart to being left alone by your fiancé, who was still seated at the bar, with several drinks too many in his system. Watching from your table, you noticed for the first time since being seated that it had started to rain. You watched as Jung Kook hailed a yellow cab, and opened the door for his date, ushering her in before following her into the back seat.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
“God, it’s so good….” Katie groaned, grinding on Jung Kook’s length. He had his hands on her hips, trying to focus on anything that could bring him into the moment. Touching her clit, thrusting into her, watching the way her perky breasts bounced as she moved. She was attractive, and not bad in bed by any means, but Jung Kook just wasn’t there.
His thoughts kept creeping back to you in the restaurant. How sad you looked, and how Jimin had left you alone to drink at the bar. It made him ache for you, but it also began to make him grow frustrated. It just wasn’t fair. He never would’ve left you alone. He would’ve stayed with you all night, caressed the back of your hand as he held it, and told you a thousand times how beautiful you look. He would’ve pulled your chair close to his, so he could whisper sweet and dirty things into your ear, earning himself some of your sweet, shy giggles that he adores so much. He would’ve made you feel special and beautiful, because you are. He would’ve told you he loves you, because he does, he always has, and it’s clear to him that he always will.
He would’ve taken you home, taken you to bed, and touched you in a tender way that made you feel sexy and wanted. He would’ve treated you right, for as long as you’d let him.
Just thinking about what he would do to you, if only he could, had him groaning. He closed his eyes and pictured that she were you, clenching tightly around him. It would’ve brought him shame, if his conscious weren’t so clouded by a sweet, unattainable fantasy.
“F-Fuck…” He groaned, biting his tongue just in time as he tried not to say your name.
He could imagine your soft skin, and how he’d kiss every inch of your body. How he’d wrap his lips around your breasts, and take his time turning you on. He imagined that you are sensitive on your neck, and how he’d leave love marks on your skin, so everyone would finally know you were his and his only. Like righting a cosmic wrong, just as it always should've been.
“Fuck, baby girl, this pussy is fucking incredible-” His voice was almost a growl. Repositioning Katie so she was bent over in front of him on her knees, her face buried in the pillow, he began his deep strokes and tightly held her hips. Her eyes rolled back and she moaned, not knowing where the sudden burst of passion was coming from, but not wanting to question it when it felt so good.
His eyes shut once more, his lips parted and head thrown back, as he finally lost himself in pleasure. The key was you, just like it always is. He fantasized about taking you like this, his cock going places so deep, all you can think about was him. His pace picked up, and Katie cried loudly as she came.
“Baby girl…. Fuck…. That’s my girl….So good to me…” Jung Kook groaned, picturing your face contorted in pleasure as he chased his own high. Katie probably thought the sweet nicknames and praises were for her, but Jung Kook had no capacity to feel bad. Not when a release was finally so close.
With a few more sloppy thrusts, Jung Kook spills into his condom with a heavy moan. Sweat was beating down his golden-tone body and face, and he shook as he orgasmed hard. It was the most intense, pulsing orgasm he had in a very long time. His breath was heavy, and as he was coming down and back to reality, all he wanted was to hold you and pepper your exhausted, spent body with love, kissing any place where his touches were a little rough, and take care of his one and only love.
But Katie wasn’t you. His love wasn’t actually here. You were somewhere with your fiancé, maybe even being touched and held by him the same way that Jung Kook holds you in his dreams. He looks down to see another woman, and his heart breaks again.
“That was… wow.” Katie said in an amazed tone, just as Jung Kook slips out of her, allowing her to roll on her back. She yawned, and Jung Kook unfortunately knew she would want to stay the night.
“Yeah… That was great.” He said, hoping his voice was at least somewhat convincing in agreeing with her sentiment.
She fell asleep next to him shortly after, and Jung Kook stayed awake, despite his body being completely maxed out. He tried to move on, to distract himself from you once again, and it failed. He reflected on years of trying, including moving to a new country, a new city, a new job, a failed engagement and now laying in bed with a gorgeous woman who he just had sex with… and all he could think of, throughout this time, was you.
All he ever wanted, was the beautiful girl who stole his heart on a college campus in Busan several years ago.
—————————————————————————————————————————
You stormed into the hotel room, your tears flooding down your face and your cheeks red and hot with frustration and sadness. Jimin, intoxicated to the point of no return, stumbled roughly in after you. His shirt unbuttoned and untucked, and his hair was a mess. During your ride back home, Jimin had attempted to pull you in, but in your disappointment and anger, you rejected him, leading to Jimin’s insecurities taking full control. If he were sober, he’d beat himself up internally, call himself every name in the book, and beg you for another chance. But after finding himself at the bottom of many drinks, all he could feel is pain.
“H-Honey…” He called, sadness in his voice, as he used the wall to keep himself up. “Don’t be mad, my angel.”
“Do not call me that. You fucking swore to me you wouldn’t do this anymore. I trusted you.” You cried, your tone wavering. “I’m so angry with you right now, Jimin. I can’t even look at you.”
Jimin opened his mouth to answer, but he felt a sickness bubbling in his stomach. He pushed past you abruptly to find the bed, collapsing onto the mattress. His lips parted and let out a groan, feeling a burning in his body.
“C’mere,” Jimin called for you, his eyes squeezed shut to block out any light. You stood there staring at the man you loved, your mascara running down your cheeks. “Let me… Please, let me hold you, ok? Want you… My pretty girl…”
His voice drifted off and his words made you sob, covering your mouth to muffle the sound. This was a road you’ve been down before, and it always ended in heartbreak. Jimin called for you like this when he was spiraling. Even in his inebriated state, he reached for you, asking you to stay beside him.
One thing always struck you hard in these moments, urging your heart to shatter; he asked to hold you. He never asked for you to hold him, to comfort him, to take away his pain. He always asked to hold you. Maybe it was because he was afraid that if he didn’t pull you close, you’d slip away. Maybe it was to keep you together, when watching him drink himself into oblivion was clearly breaking you. Or maybe it was to subconsciously shield you from the damage he was doing, like a scared child trying to protect his caretaker from danger. But what can you do when the person protecting you, is also the one doing the damage?
“Jimin, I…” You began, your voice cracking. You didn’t know where to start, or even if he’d hear you. “I don’t know what to do anymore.”
He didn’t answer. His chest was moving, an indication that he was breathing, but the Jimin you know and adore above anything else, clearly isn’t in the room. You keep talking, unsure of how much he actually hears.
“You need help, my love. Help that I can’t give you. I love you so, so much.” You smiled to yourself, recalling a sweet memory. “Remember the night we saw each other at the charity event? It was the first time since we were kids. You made me laugh so much, baby, remember? We snuck off, ran away from the crowded building, and wandered off to the beach. Then we heard our fathers calling for us, and you kissed me by the ocean before taking me back. They were so mad at us, weren’t they?”
You let out a sad chuckle at the memory, before your face dropped. You recounted how that moment, like so many with Jimin, were burning, bright red flags hidden so well by sweet words and soft kisses.
“I didn’t know at the time why your father was so much more angry than mine, but now I know. He thought you had ran off to drink yourself sick again, didn’t he? He was so worried and scared, because he does love you, Jimin. I know you get upset with him, and I know what he said to you on the phone tonight wasn’t ok, but…”
You paused when you heard a snore. Jimin was out for the night, passed out on the bed without taking off any of his clothes. You sighed, also feeling exhausted. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually. He was with you in the room, but you felt so alone. He heard none of what you said, and you were doubtful he’d remember anything in the morning. You wondered how many nights, conversations, fights and romantic moments together, were lost at the bottom of a bottle, just like this, over the time you’ve been with him.
You wanted to cry, but there were no tears left. It was just a deep, unyielding sadness.
“You’re going to get better, baby.” You said, letting your words float in the air with no destination. “You have to be better… Because I’m scared of what happens if you don’t.”

"Mmmm," you couldn't help but say as you lingered on the last delicious bite of spaghetti. It was so rare that Steve and Bucky had a night away AND could take you out to dinner, that you'd almost forgotten what any other spaghetti other than Steve's tasted like. "It's so good."
"Good girl, you cleaned your plate. I'm proud of you," Steve said, the corner of his lip curling up in that smile that was almost a sneer, but you'd come to understand it meant he was pleased. You giggled and ducked your head, not wanting to admit that his praise in public made you feel all giddy.
"I think we should get the tiramisu to go. It's getting near your bedtime, little one," Bucky said, looking at his expensive diamond-encrusted watch. He chuckled when you pouted. "Now, now. None of that or we don't do this again." You instantly wiped the pout off your face. You couldn't remember the last time you'd actually gotten to leave the mansion for a date night with your daddies, and you weren't about to jeopardize that. Seeing the pout gone, Bucky purred. "That's better. Now let's go."
A waitress handed Steve a to-go bag with a large piece of the dessert in it as you all were heading out the door. You were surprised when you realized that neither Steve nor Bucky had paid, and couldn't help but look behind you as you all were exiting. "What's the matter, Princess?" Steve asked, taking a firm hold of your hand. "What's wrong?"
"Don't...don't we have to give monies to the people for making us food?" you whispered, a little afraid that this was going to be one of those questions that got your daddies mad when you asked it. But this was the exact opposite. Steve squeezed your hand a bit, and Bucky quickly took you other hand and kissed it as you all walked down the street to where Sam had parked the car a few blocks away.
"Look at our sweet little girl, Buck, making sure all her people are taken care of," Steve said, grinning at Bucky and then down at you. "Seems like she picked up a thing or two from the business."
"It's okay, Sweet Cheeks, Daddy and I know the people that run this place. They make us food for free, whenever we want," Bucky said, smiling down indulgently at you.
"Oh. That's nice of them!"
"Did you like going to that place?"
"It was...nice. The food was way yummy. There was lots of people there."
"Was that too many people, honey?"
"Um...it's okay. Just not used to anybody but Daddies."
"Well, how about we all go back home and it can be just Daddies again?"
"Yeah!" you cheered, relieved. It was weird being around people again- you weren't sure that you liked it. You hadn't been around that many people since your Daddies saved you from your boring life to make you their Princess. It had taken a long time, but now you couldn't live without them.
The three of you turned into an alley. Normally, it would have terrified you to walk down a place like this, but with both of your daddies holding your hands, you knew you had nothing to fear.
Suddenly, you heard a deep voice behind you. "Stay right where you are. Don't move."
Ignoring the voice's orders, both Bucky and Steve whipped around instantly. Steve forcefully shoved you behind him. Afraid, you buried your face in the back of his jacket and tried not to make a sound. As you did when you were home and their work people came over, you stayed silent, like a good girl does.
"Give me your wallets and no one gets hurt," the voice said, low and gruff. Bucky let out a bark of a laugh as Steve stepped forward.
"Oh, son. You have no idea what you've just done, do you?" Steve said lightly, but you could hear the undercurrent of violence in his tone. You felt Steve's arms shove aside his jacket lapels, but the next thing you knew, Bucky had you up against the brick wall of the alleyway. Everything got really loud really fast. You turned your head in terror to make sure Steve was okay, but Bucky forcefully grabbed your chin in his hand and made you look at him.
"Eyes on me, Princess," he commanded, and you obeyed instantly. "Good girl. You remember our codes?"
"Y-yes, Daddy."
"Good girl. Rabbit hole. Quick like a bunny. Go." He let your chin go and stepped towards Steve, leaving you alone with your orders.
After Steve and Bucky had rescued you and you'd grown accustomed to this new life, they had drilled code words into you in case of situations like this. "Rabbit Hole" and "Quick like a bunny" were codes for find a place to hide as fast as you can, and don't move until they come to get you.
You looked for a safe hiding space, just like Steve had taught you to, and found a slight notch in the brickwork of the alley- just large enough to hold a dumpster. You ran into it as fast as you could, squeezing yourself in between the dumpster and the wall. You huddled down, hands over your ears and eyes squeezed shut, pretending you were a rabbit in a hole, just like they taught you. Your hands over your ears mostly muffled the shouts, the grunts, and the loud bang. Then everything was silent.
After a couple minutes, you felt three taps on your arm. You opened your eyes to see Bucky kneeling in front of you, smiling. You peeled your hands from your ears just in time to hear him say "Good girl."
You flung yourself into his arms, sobbing and scared. He picked you up, balancing you on his hip, as you cried into his shoulder. He gently kissed the top of your head before pulling his phone out and making a call. Less than a minute later, Sam came barreling into the alley. Without a word, Bucky passed you to him and walked towards Steve.
You started crying even more hysterically. "No, Daddy, please don't go!" you wailed, trying to stretch out of Sam's arms to get to them.
"Hey," Steve's voice cut in sternly. You instantly stopped squirming, knowing better than to push Steve when he was angry. Seeing that you were behaving the way he wanted you to, Steve turned his attention back to what was left of the would be attacker. Sam pressed your face into his shoulder so you wouldn't look, and you stayed right there, unable to control your trembling.
A couple phone calls later and the situation was resolved. Your cries had quieted to occasional hiccups, but you were trying your hardest to be quiet and good, just like they wanted you to be. When you felt Steve's strong hands lift you out of Sam's arms though, you turned with lightning speed and latched onto him.
"Shhh, shhh, it's okay, Princess, Daddy is here now," he said in a much softer and more soothing voice that before. You sniffled a little.
"Daddy?" you whispered, looking up at him. He smiled softly at you.
"Hey there, Princess," he said, rubbing his nose against yours. You sighed in relief, and returned the butterfly kiss, before turning your head to look for Bucky. You didn't have to look far- Bucky was right behind Steve, smiling from ear to ear at you.
"Princess, tell Daddy what you just did," Bucky said proudly, lightly punching Steve in the back to get him to listen up.
"Runned to be a rabbit in a hole, like Daddy said to," you explained carefully, wanting to make sure you didn't mess it up. Steve's smug smile grew.
"Yeah? You were in a rabbit hole like Daddy told you to be?" Steve said proudly. "Well, how about that. You must have been a very brave little girl to be such a good bunny when the mean man came." At the mention of the attacker, you began to shake again.
"Shh, it's okay Sweet Cheeks, we're here and the bad man is gone. He didn't hurt us and he can't hurt you," Bucky crooned softly, stroking your cheek with his finger. But you couldn't stop shaking.
"Boss, you want me to call the doctor to come check her out?" Sam asked gruffly, seeing you beginning to tremble again.
"No! No doctor!" you whimpered before burying yourself in Steve's shoulder. You heard a smack and turned your head to see Sam holding the back of his head and looking annoyed, while Bucky stood next to him, fuming.
"Idiot, you know she hates doctors," Bucky hissed at their second in command.
"Sorry, sorry," Sam apologized, before looking at you. "Sorry, Princess."
"Is okay, Sammy. Thank you for...for helping me." You didn't really want to thank Sam for holding you back while your daddies were taking care of their business, but Steve and Bucky were very strict about manners and you knew they would want you to thank Sam. You were rewarded with kisses from the both of them, on either side of your head.
"Good manners, Princess," Steve whispered. "Come on. Let's go home. And see? Daddy didn't even let the bad man get our dessert. Let's go watch a movie and eat it before bed, okay?"
"Okay, Daddy."
"Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to go out to dinner, hm?"
"I'll do anything you want, as long as I can stay with you and Daddy forever."
"Good girl. That's what we want to hear."

𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗺𝗰𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 - 𝗸.𝗺𝗰𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗲
summary: chelsea vs arsenal is the biggest game of the super league as katie and yn go head to head for their clubs.
𖦹 masterlist
𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬, chelsea vs arsenal.
"kt, you ready?"
me and katie had been together since i moved to london, we met at a bar and exchanged numbers (as all good love stories go).
"ready for me to crush you today?”
“hell yea." katie grinned as she rounded the corner of our shared apartment.
it was only after we had gone on a few dates and gotten to know each other that we figured out that we both played football. katie had been so excited until i told her that i had just signed for chelsea
"you could never beat me, mccabe." the irish woman was a gunner, through and through. it was our inside joke, me with chelsea and katie with arsenal. "how dare you, i'll show you." katie advanced towards me and i giggled as she tackled me onto the bed. "katie-"
she knew very well that i was ticklish and used it to her advantage. "katie, stop, we have to get you to training." i was still laughing from her hands on my sides, even after she stopped. i was dressed in my chelsea training kit, bag packed by the door.
"katie you're not even dressed!" once i stood up properly i realised that she hadn't even changed from her pyjamas. she just grinned at me, unmoving, her eyes following my movements. "you're so hot when you get mad." i smirked at katie's horniness, for lack of better term.
i walked over to her and put my arms around her neck, our lips are almost touching. her arms immediately went to my waist, pulling me impossibly closer. i moved my head to the side and started peppering kisses down the side of her neck to just below her ear.
katie tilted her head to the side to give me more access. i pulled away then and whispered, "and you're hot when you do what i say." before leaving her embrace and dancing away before she could get me. the look on her face was priceless, she was shocked and turned on at the same time.
"you can't do that." she tried to reason while making an attempt to trap me in her arms again. i ran off to the closet and picked out her training gear before exiting again.
"you can have me back when you get dressed." i tossed the clothes at her and laughed when katie pouted. she got dressed then, and we grabbed our kit bags then headed out to the car. i usually drop her off at training before a game then head back to where i need to go before the game. in this case, the chelsea training facility.
it wasn't that far from our apartment and her teammates always met us out the front. i pulled in and there was cait, steph, vivianne and leah waiting out the front. "sorry she's late, we got caught up." i yelled out to them with a wink. they all laughed and katie went a dark shade of pink.
"pick you up after the game." we gave each other a quick peck goodbye, then i pulled out and went to chelsea.
——
i was in the chelsea changing rooms with the team, standing next to sam and guro. magda was giving us all a pep talk, or at least trying to. the girls were ready for the game but they were nervous and you could tell. arsenal had always been our biggest competitor in the super league, save for barça in the champions league.
when she finished her captains speech, emma jumped in and hyped us all up, saying how good we were and that we got this. i was pumped and so ready to run out on that field.
we went to line up in the tunnel, this was always my favourite bit in games, especially against arsenal. i was alongside katie in the tunnel, just like i knew i would be. we grinned at each other and she reached out to hold my hand for a second before we walked out.
——
it was half time, and we were up 2-1 to arsenal. sam had scored the first goal, stealing it back when maanum missed a shot on goal. she had raced it up the field and somehow got past katie before slamming it in the net. i high-fived her before checking on katie.
then katie had evened the score with a kick from the corner that had miraculously bounced into the back of our net. i wasn't happy about the score but i was ecstatic for my girlfriend. she streamed down the field and stood in front of the arsenal crowd, who were going ballistic.
after her team had had their moment with her and we reset play, i sent her a wink and she grinned back at me. it was chelsea's ball then and guro had gotten it close to arsenal's goal, before magda kicked it over our heads and i jumped up for a header which sent the ball into the net. our fans went wild and both sam and guro ran over to me, guro jumping on my back.
now we were in the second half and arsenal were desperate to even the score. emma had subbed lauren james onto the field then and play started. lj was immediately on the ball and she ran it up the field, but then came katie. she was shoulder to shoulder with lauren and swiping her feet in with lauren's to get the ball.
her cleats must've scraped lauren's leg because she went down and clutched her leg, the ball rolling away slowly. i jogged over, seeing the ref talking with katie. i knew my girlfriend had set the record of 7 yellow cards in a season and i was anticipating another one. i had stood myself behind katie, close enough so i could hold her hand, but discreetly.
just as i thought, the ref held up a yellow card and wrote her name on it. katie walked away, turning into me. i walked a few steps with her, leaning in to whisper, "that's hot." before i jogged back to my position. lauren was deemed okay by the medics and she jogged over to where she had to be. play continued, but arsenal couldn't manage another goal. the final whistle was blown and the score stayed unchanged. 1-2 for chelsea.
i hugged my team, especially sam and guro, but my focus stayed on katie. i knew how much matches like this meant to her. she would be gutted but she would still find it in her to congratulate me, and that's what i loved about her. i walked over to where the arsenal team was.
most of them were hugging or sitting down but i found katie just lying on the grass. i went to her and lay down next to her. she turned to me with a smile. "i'm so proud of you."
i smiled back at her. "thank you katie. although i do think your new name should be katie mccard, with all those yellow cards you're collecting." she broke out into laughter and i was happy i could still make her laugh even after a loss.

How will the crew defeat Mr Puzzles?
Will Mr Puzzles die?
Indeed, they are very valid questions. It's only reasonable that we would guess. Some speculated that Puzzles will die similarly to how One-Shot Wren did in Western Spaghetti. Others said the opposite, that Puzzles may go down a path of redemption. So on and so on.
The point is: We aren't a hundred percent sure what will happen. That includes me. Anything could happen. But that is the fun of it all, it captivated us so much that we were at the edge of our seats. Eager to find out more.
In my "Welcome to Puzzle Park" episode review, I predicted that SMG4 and Mario would have to win the mini-game challenges to save each of their friends from Mr Puzzles. And now, before the SMG4 show decides to jump-scare me with a new update, I want to share a twist on my original guess.
If SMG4 and Mario couldn't save the Crew and get controlled by Mr Puzzles, then who would?
"...Mom sure is taking a long time, huh."
THE UNEXPECTED GUESTS
⚠️ DISCLAIMER IN INTRO POST ⚠️
"To your own demise, you created your own enemy…"
RECAP
Let’s go over the episode ‘Welcome to Puzzle Park’ once again:
The SMG4 Crew, including Karen, is forced to listen to Boopkins' vacation story, beginning to wonder where Meggy is. And right on cue, Leggy pops in and lures them to Puzzle Park, a carnival built by Mr Puzzles, which they didn't know that part until the Crew got there. Unfortunately, being forced to enter the park, each one of the Crew took part of the attractions and games. One by one, they suspiciously disappeared, Three noticed this.
A whole day goes by and the park is empty except for Four, Mario, and Three. Three saw Luigi getting captured, realizing that the park was a trap, and went to warn the rest of our Star Trio. A clown head intervened, capturing Three before he could tell them to run. In his last efforts, instead of struggling, Three sent a text to Four, hoping it would be enough for the two to escape before it was too late. Four and Mario, being in the middle of their competitive water gun game, saw the text and attempted to escape.
The whole park, somehow coming to life, chased the two down until they went through a magical exit door. In there, they faced a hall of mirrors and finally face Mr Puzzles. Puzzles reveal his plans, that the Crew was “the missing pieces of Puzzle Park”. Leggy opens up a portal to the hall for Didney’s Engine Room, Four and Mario having no choice but to go through. Entering the Engine Room, they encounter a horrifying site: A grown-sized Mr Puzzles, merged with the Power source Star with wires and limbs. Mr Puzzles laughs maniacally before the doors of the Engine Room close behind the duo, ending the episode with the grayed-out credits.
Now, that is all well, set, and good. But, when I was rewatching this episode, a question popped into my mind:
"Wait, if Karen is here, then are Zack, Cody, and Katie home alone?"
As much as I could assume that they were with a babysitter or at school, Karen got captured by Mr Puzzles regardless. A whole day has gone by and her kids are left at home. Then, I fall into a rabbit hole of questions:
Would her kids notice her strange absence? Would they ask if their mom was ok? Would they try to locate her?
Wait, what about Beeg4 and Eggdog? Three and Four were also captured and didn’t tell them where they went.
And JubJub? Sure, Boopkins have other family so Jubjub isn’t technically alone but wouldn’t he wonder where his brother went?
Question after question, it all ends up having the kids missing their family members.
If the kids realize that their family is gone, what will they do?
Well, why don’t we play a game of “what if”, shall we?
Instead of Four and Mario, what if the kids save the Crew?
THINK OF THE CHILDREN
The kids, believe it or not, have been an important aspect of this WOTFI arc, ever since the very beginning. Look back at all the previous episodes:
We Must Kill Mario
Zack, Cody, and Katie get excited seeing Four on screen in a Puzzlevision episode, ‘Mario’s Mysteries’
Despite being Zack’s birthday, Four tailored each entertaining act for each kid, making them feel special
SMG4 and SMG3 come up with an episode
Three came up with the plot of Four turning into a child just so he could go on the teacup ride
Mr Puzzles’ Lowest Point
Puzzles relied on the children’s interests in brain-rot comedy just so he could be popular
In the first series of attempts, he sought Karen’s kids for their approval. The third time was successful
his videos only catered to a single demographic
Unable to satisfied the children at the convention, Mr Puzzles gets chased all around town. Zack being one of those kids who chased him
The children abandon their attention on Puzzlebox to pursue Goob4. Sure, Goob4 is not SMG4 but it is still another punch to the gut for Puzzles, that Four will keep beating him in popularity no matter what. Losing his young audience was a subtle factor that drove him to lose his mind
Mr Puzzles' Clubhouse
Didney, formerly beloved by people of all ages, has a park known as Didney Worl, dubbed as "The Happiest Place on Earth"
A flashback shows Mr Puzzles as a child wanting to own a carnival when he grows up, hoping that he could make everyone happy (similarly how Four’s goal, shown in IGBP)
These episodes all revolved around kids, so it’s possible that WOTFI would as well. Plus, it’s one of the aspects of Four and Puzzles parallels. While Puzzles tried to satisfy every kid with one show, Four made sure that each kid was happy, his acts being unique.
Well, another reason for Mr Puzzles to hate SMG4, jealous of Four being able to connect with his audience so easily.
HOW WILL IT PLAY OUT?
Technically, this is the end of the mini-theory. However, I do want to contribute to the narrative in how I would personally write it. Not that it will come true, this is just for funsies. This is how I imagine it:
Four and Mario attempt to fight off Mr Puzzles, wanting to save their friends. But Puzzles became too powerful, not even Mario of all people being able to stop him. The last scene we see them trying to dash for the exit before being grabbed by Puzzles.
We cut to Karen’s house. Zack, Cody, and Katie would be sitting around, flipping through the channels on the TV. One of them looks out the window, noticing that it is nighttime. They were told that their mom (Karen) would be visiting SMG4 for just a bit, something about welcoming Boopkins back from his vacation. It was supposed to be for a couple of hours.
“Mom sure is taking forever, huh.”
Back before dinner, she said. That she was going to make pizza. But the oven was cold, and no pizza was made. They were starting to get hungry. They loved having Mom around, she was always there for them. She loved them with all their heart. But now, something felt off.
“Hey, guys, look!”
The three looked at the screen to see an advertisement of Puzzle Park, an incredible carnival with exciting attractions and games, having its grand opening today. It’s so much fun that you wouldn’t want to leave.
Right there on the screen, they see SMG4, in a new outfit with a top hat and twirling cane, performing an act. They cheered, of course, they recognized their favorite YouTuber. Wow, who knew Four was part of this.
Then, they saw their mom on the screen, exactly as Four is with the new outfit and act. They were a bit surprised by this, Mom didn’t tell them she was part of this. Why? Wouldn’t she have invited them to join her at the carnival? Still, they were happy to see their mom.
Just then, a knock on the door. They open to see Beeg4, Eggdog, and JubJub on the other side, they looked worried. They were let in and through Cody’s translating, they were worried that something happened to their dads. Three never told Eggdog where he went and was pretty much left alone in the cafe. Beeg initially didn’t care, he got to be home alone to do whatever he wanted to do for meme’s sake, but a new meme just dropped, and was shocked to see that Four didn’t say anything about it. Not even a like on the post. For JubJub, his brother said that he was going to tell his friends about his vacation but he never came back home to the ocean.
Eggdog spots his dad on screen, dancing around in glee. That’s not my dad, Eggdog points out. The light in Three’s eyes, it was gone. As if his mind wasn’t there. Despite the theatrics the crew was doing, they looked like they didn't intend to act this way. There was no happiness. They looked like puppets.
Finally, Mr Puzzles come up on the screen, urging the viewers to come on down to Puzzle Park. Zack points out that Puzzles was the one behind Puzzlebox. They then concluded that Mr Puzzles had something to do with their family members being mind-controlled. So, they gear up and head for the carnival to confront Mr Puzzles. And soon, they learn they would have to save each Crew member one by one by completing mini-games.
.・-: ✧ :--: ✧ :-・.
And there you have it, the kids being Puzzles’ first audience to ultimately being the ones who will defeat him in WOTFI! It would be a nice change of pace for the show and it will come full circle if they go with this. I'm going to be honest: I didn't intend to post this today. I was hoping to wait for the trailer to drop so I could post multiple things:
one of the posts is obviously my reaction/analysis of the trailer
second, a post where you guys help me fill in the boxes on the bingo card I'm creating for WOTFI (still going to do this in the future btw)
and lastly, this mini-theory
I initially thought that it would be a silly little post, thinking that it might not come true, But the more I thought about it, it made sense in my head. It works especially with my “The Ticket” theory (excluding the shoe part) of the kids knowing some form of truth behind Puzzle Park. Again, anything could happen, my dear fellows. This isn’t out of the question. We would just have to wait and see at around October 19th!
“One can't fully understand how much a child love their family...”
And hey, that’s just a theory…
AN SMG4 (MINI) THEORY
🎶Thanks for dropping by🎶

"The only time Meghan was “mobbed” by paparazzi as Diana and Kate were was at the February 2019 baby shower in New York City when they camped out outside her hotel. That was the only time they cared about her to that extent, and many people suspect the paparazzi and media were only there in the first place was because Meghan had specifically called them to be there."
I know this to be fact. One of the pro-Meghan blogs even posted about having insider daily updates about Meghan's itinerary, timing of exits and returns to the hotel, whivh restaurants in NYC Meghan and her friends would visit and exact time of their bookings. The blog received updates on her clothing and even which friends she would be hanging out with.
That blogger aside, a PR friend of mine here in the UK whose firm works like Sunshine Sachs to astroturf the media was receiving daily emails from Markle's hollywood team with details above with instructions to astroturf UK media. - i don't feel guilty revealing this now though i won't reveal which firm did this.
The funniest thing is that the hotel has special entrances for celebrities to avoid the paps, and Meghan refused to use them. Later DM made a FOIA request to state dept and obtained notes therein of Narkle refusing to use the side entrances and the discreet pap avoiding entrances.
If you look at the pictures, there is a press pen at the entrance being used by Markle which isn't something you see for other bigger celebrities.
Also, Natalie Portman was at the hotel at the same time and only got papped/ published once.
The resulting Markle photos and videos are very interesting because they are closesly cropped so that you see the bank of paps squeezed into the press pen which hives impression of Markle being swarmed, but in real time as it was happening, videos and photos showing wider angle revealee that there weren't that many paps - a tiny fraction of the number who used to swarm Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes, but also there were hardly any public interested in the melee caused by the show Markle put on for the paps. This is a Markle specialty when she's controlling the media narrative.
Harold almost ruined it though because he carried out an event at a soup kitchen type charity called Fit and Fed and the Sussex Royal IG account published his pictures with a caption about alleviating food poverty as his wife was astroturfing the Media with her expensive lifestyle babyshower.

Good for you that you can confirm this but until I see and confirm the receipts for myself, it’s still speculation. Nothing against you, anon. It’s just the good ol’ “trust but verify” internet policy.
I do remember the website getting advance details. Everyone was using it for their stories about the weekend.

I have a hypothetical/thought experiment about Torchwood potential episode reordering. I think it would have made so much more sense and been so interesting to place Fragments in between Meat and Adam.
Meat is a fairly innocuous monster-of-the-week episode with no throughline consequences/story arc for the most part. Except at the end of the episode Rhys is allowed to leave Torchwood, memories intact. This serves to establish a "new" precedent for Torchwood and emphasizes Gwen's sort of special treatment.
Now, we place Fragments next.
The intro/outro conflict would have to change of course (the building exploding/John Hart's message), because that has to come at the end of the series. So maybe instead the team (minus Gwen) get trapped in some other way. Maybe something like the Isolus in the DW episode Fear Her, something causes them all to "disappear" and get stuck somewhere. Or maybe there's some alien item/creature that traps them half inside walls and furniture, as if they phased through a wall and got stuck. You know, something that traps all the characters in one place so that the important plots playing out are their backstories, which we watch as each person gets free (like in the actual episode).
Maybe whatever traps them either sends them into the Void or into something void adjacent/void contaminated. They don't know this when they get free, and they destroy whatever it was that causes them to get trapped, or deactivate it and take it back to the hub.
Gwen does not arrive at the end of the episode like in the original. Instead, the new version of Fragments takes place a long enough time after Meat that Rhys is healed, which means she's on vacation with him in Paris (which is what seems to be implied in Adam). This allows the memory-based alien from the void the time to infiltrate the team, so that when Gwen returns from vacation the next day, the episode plays out the same.
The rest of the series also plays out the same, either replacing Adrift with something that reintroduces John Hart and ups the ante some other way, or having a little scene at the very end of Adrift maybe of Jack watching Gwen take down all her missing posters, and then he gets a threatening message from Hart. Or the reintroduction of Hart just gets shifted into the start of Exit Wounds.
But now that Fragments has come first, the rest of the series playing out the way it does normally allows for a whole lot of interesting character development.
In Adam, we get to see the drastic difference between everyone's backstories and who they became as we know them, and whatever Adam has done to manipulate them. It also means that we can see, for example, the difference between terrified and uncertain pre-Torchwood Tosh and the Tosh we know, and this confident fake-Tosh. We can see the difference between Owen before Katie's death, and Owen the loveable shithead, and this fake-Owen who's so awkward and nervous and sad in a completely different way. (And, as Tosh and Owen's personalities are essentially flipped in this ep, we have a better perspective on both.) We get to see the start of Jack and Ianto's relationship, how it's literally built on lies and manipulation from the start, and therefore how compelling it is that Jack is 100% certain that Ianto has been manipulated by some creature.
Seeing Owen's backstory makes his 3-episode death/resurrection arc more compelling, because we can see how much Katie's death broke him, we understand his self-destructive tendencies and their source better (especially with the little addition of his childhood lore at the end of Adam), and we can see why both death and undeath are upsetting for him. We get to see his interactions with Martha as two people who respect each other but also the way in which his flirting is less serious and more almost territorial. Then we'd also get to see his reaction to Maggie, whose tragedy is so similar to his, meaning that his support and encouragement toward her is really for both of them. In the original script for ADITD, when Owen is cleaning out his flat he also throws away photos; one photo could have been of him and Katie. It makes it more compelling: suddenly the audience (and Owen) has a moment of realizing that there's no afterlife and he'll never see her again.
Again in Something Borrowed everyone's backstories just make their actions in the episode a bit more compelling. Owen going to a wedding while dead means the audience keeps in mind that he was going to marry Katie but she died, and even if he could now he'd be dead, which emphasizes both the uniqueness of Gwen's wedding and the threat of it too (this could all be destroyed etc etc). Toshiko's loneliness is emphasized more, and again the audience is reminded that Tosh hasn't seen her mother in 4 years at least. And yet again, like Owen, we're reminded of Ianto's relationship with Lisa, but also his relationship with Jack.
From Out Of The Rain and Adrift don't have many moments that would be too affected by knowing everyone's backstories, except that I think seeing the effort Ianto went through to get into Torchwood to help Lisa makes the effort he goes through to save everyone and the way losing so many souls affects him seem to be a sort of linear line, in that From Out Of The Rain is an episode that mostly focuses on Ianto's feelings and vague backstory re: the Electro. Adrift happens, which everyone else is barely in, but we now understand the cruelty of past Torchwood and perhaps can be a little more sympathetic to Jack about it. Which makes it maybe a little bit clearer why Ianto did what he did pointing Gwen to Flat Holm.
We get from Adrift to Exit Wounds through whatever way (replacing Adrift, just a little scene at the end of Adrift, idk) and then Exit Wounds occurs the way Exit Wounds plays out in the actual series.
This arrangement just allows a lot more interesting character development and way more play (either for the actual writers or just viewer brains) with character motivations. Watching for the first time, I'd have felt Owen and Maggie's conversation was a lot more compelling if I already knew Owen's backstory. I'd have found Tosh's new confidence in Adam simultaneously unnerving and uplifting if I'd just seen her shaking and traumatized in Fragments. Jack's behavior throughout a lot of the series (both his ruthlessness and his mercy) would make more sense seeing the things he'd gone through in all his years at Torchwood, and the way in which he became leader. It also puts emphasis on how Jack never wanted to be a the leader of Torchwood, and despite his knowledge he's kind of bumbling and thrashing his way through it, which then explains his treatment of Owen in ADITD, or his decisions re: Flat Holm in Adrift.
So that's my theory on a hypothetical rearranging of episodes. Of course, at this point it doesn't matter at all because we've all watched the series a million times so we're aware of the backstories no matter what. But I just think it would have been more compelling storytelling for first-time viewing.

Falling For the Devil [Part thirteen: "The First Time He Walked You Home"]
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader
Summary: Matt invites you out to Josie’s shortly after the night you both met and then he offers to walk you home.
Or
You assume Matt invites you on a date and become disappointed when you realize you've been friend-zoned.
[Series of one-shots about Reader meeting, falling for, and dating Matt Murdock.]
Warnings: 18+ for this series; contains humor, fluff, romance, angst, smut (like...a lot of it later in the series), language, some violence
Word Count: 2.7k
a/n: This one is a flashback, friends!! Just so you're not confused when you read it! It could be read as the second installment to this whole thing (which is what I'd intended but I wasn't sure at the time if I liked it but then later posted it anyway). This one becomes relevant in the next installment piece "The Time Matt Got Jealous" which is why it comes right before! And you can find all of the installments for this series on tumblr here.
It had only taken Matt four days to call you after your Monday night encounter at Josie’s. You'd easily gotten along with his friends when he'd introduced you to them as they finished their game of pool. Foggy had been friendly and was constantly throwing out jokes, and you'd especially hit it off with Karen, who had given you some useful advice on the story you'd been stuck on that night. Needless to say, because of her help you'd made headway on your investigation this week to Ellison's chagrin, but even he had to admit you were on to something.
Before you'd gone home from Josie’s that Monday evening though, Matt had asked for your number–which had momentarily baffled you beyond words. And then you were further delighted when he'd called you only days later as you'd been finishing up for the evening at The Bulletin, getting ready to go home and relax for the weekend. Katy had hovered beside your desk, her bottom lip caught between her teeth as she tried to listen into the phone call while you repeatedly swatted her away.
You had been giddy and excited on your way to Josie’s, heading straight there after you'd finished at the office. You still couldn't believe your luck at managing to capture Matt’s interest with your terrible flirting skills and in spite of how awkward you had been the other night. But then the smile had fallen flat off your face the moment you stepped into Josie’s, classic rock and the smell of must and mold hitting you, when you saw Matt sitting at a table not alone, but with Karen, Foggy, and a pretty blonde draped over Foggy’s arm. You immediately felt ridiculous for thinking this was some sort of date.
And why would it be? You’d probably stuffed your foot in your own mouth more times than a contortionist generally did in an evening that night, so why the hell would someone like Matthew Murdock actually want to go on a date with you?
For a moment you contemplated turning and exiting the bar, your heart rate increasing as another thought struck you. Maybe he hadn’t even meant to call you? Maybe he’d confused you for someone else he’d met recently, someone vastly more articulate and normal ?
You didn't have long to mope though because Foggy had spotted you and animatedly waved you over, loudly calling your name with a massive grin on his face. You'd had to swiftly plaster a smile onto your own face to mask the way your heart had sunk to the sticky bar floor.
Despite your growing disappointment at your misinterpretation of whatever your relationship with Matt was, you'd enjoyed your evening having a few beers with the group of friends and only moderately managed to embarrass yourself. You'd even really clicked with Marci, Foggy’s girlfriend. Though you still blushed and occasionally made a stuttering ass of yourself whenever Matt directly acknowledged you.
And then the night had gotten a bit later and you'd not had a chance to eat dinner, so you'd finished your beer and told everyone you needed to head home. Which was precisely when Matt decided to slide his chair back across the floor and shoot you a charming smile that not only confused you but had your heart hammering in your own ears.
"Let me walk you home," he offered.
You nearly died on the spot. That sounded equal parts wonderful and terrible.
"Oh, uh, you really don't have to, Matt," you answered quickly.
He was already reaching for his cane on the table as his dark brows raised behind his glasses. "Would you prefer to walk home alone this late at night?" he countered.
"It's not like I haven't walked home at night before," you pointed out. "And I don't want to make you leave just because I am."
"Would you feel differently if I said I truly don't mind?" he asked.
Your cheeks were burning when you realized the group at the table had gone completely silent, currently focused on the exchange between you and Matt.
"Besides," he added with a shrug, "I invited you out, I'd like to make sure you get back safe."
You fidgeted on the spot, fiddling with the strap of your purse across your chest. "Alright," you hesitantly agreed, nerves rising at the prospect of the few blocks of uninterrupted alone time you were about to have with him. And for some reason as he rose to his feet, unfolding his cane, your brain decided for you to throw out what could possibly be the worst attempt at a nervous joke ever made. "As long as you're not about to brutally murder me in a back alley and then chop me to bits and scatter me around the dumpsters of Hell's Kitchen."
Matt abruptly paused, freezing entirely with his lips parted and his brows furrowing together as they dipped low behind the red lenses, his cane only half unfolded in his hands. Karen snickered loudly behind a hand at the table, seemingly sharing a look with Foggy across from her.
"That was…disturbing and oddly specific," Matt said when he recovered, finishing unfolding his cane. "Is that a common fear of yours?" he teased.
"I…watched a lot of true crime this week," you admitted awkwardly. "And I think the four beers on an empty stomach disintegrated that filter between my brain and my mouth,” you added, gesturing towards your mouth as you spoke. “I said I was awkward, right? I thought I made that abundantly clear. Or did you just invite the wrong girl out tonight?" you half-joked.
Foggy let out a low whistle at the table as Marci and Karen openly laughed, though their amusement seemed directed particularly at Matt and not you.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Matt asked, the charming smile not faltering on his face as he crossed the few steps towards you, cane tapping lightly along the floor.
You shrugged a shoulder. "I figured with your terrible pickup lines the other night that you probably have a lot of womens' numbers in your phone. You might have mistook me for one of the less socially awkward ones," you answered, truthfully only half-teasing.
Foggy was covering his laugh behind a hand, but the loud snort he let out had caught your attention and you glanced his way. When you caught his eye he called out, "He does get a lot of numbers, but I have never seen someone call him out on it like that." He gave you a thumbs-up, still openly laughing. "You're officially my favorite now."
"Well, I can assure you," Matt began, your attention returning to him, "I meant to invite the woman with the unique and charming ability to make any situation highly amusing and uncomfortable in a matter of seconds."
You felt heat rise to your cheeks at his words, your attention dropping to your feet as your stomach twisted in your gut. You still weren’t entirely sure what to make of Matt’s interest in you as he exchanged goodbyes with his friends. Did he just want to be friends with you? The awkward chick who amused him–was that it?
When he turned towards you, you sent a wave to the table and a quick ‘bye’ to the group.
"Don't let Matt murder you!" Foggy called out, his hands cupped around his mouth. "He's got a violent alter ego!"
You snorted a laugh, quickly covering a hand over your mouth at the sound. Karen and Foggy broke into loud laughter at the table, Marci shooting them a confused look as she lightly laughed along with them. Matt grinned and shook his head beside you.
"Ignore them," he told you.
"That sounds exactly like what someone who was going to brutally murder me would say," you teased back.
Matt laughed, shaking his head again, but he didn't say anymore.
Soon you were both outside of Josie’s in the chilly April evening walking towards your apartment alone with Matt. You had become very aware of his presence beside you; occasionally your arm would bump against his and you'd apologize. It had happened so many times walking down the first block that he eventually teased you for feeling the need to apologize for walking beside him when he'd asked to walk you home in the first place.
And then you'd awkwardly apologized again before becoming silent.
That silence lingered over the pair of you for a half a block; the only sound was Matt’s cane tapping along the pavement and the music pouring out of the bars you passed. Occasionally a few cars would drive past or you’d hear a shout or laugh in the distance. The growing silence was starting to weigh on you though as your mind raced with potential topics that wouldn’t embarrass you. But it was Matt who finally broke the silence.
"You really think I didn't mean to call you?" Matt asked curiously.
Your hands nervously found their way back to the strap of your crossbody bag, your fingers toying with the black material. "Yeah, kind of figured it was a mistake and you just decided to run with it."
You saw him shoot you a look out of your peripheral but you kept your eyes ahead of you as you walked.
"Cause I'm blind?" Matt asked, his tone sounding partially amused and partially serious. "You think I dialed the wrong number?"
Eyes growing wide, you shook your head. "No, that's not–not what I meant!" you quickly stuttered out. "I meant you probably confused my name with someone else's and then were like, too polite to say so. And then just figured it would be amusing to see what other stupid shit I would say tonight to embarrass myself with. I mean, I'm honestly even shocked you asked for my number to begin with the other night," you admitted.
Matt's head turned towards you as you both walked. "Why?"
You shrugged, your eyes focused on the sidewalk as you moved, too nervous to look at him. "Socializing is not a strong suit for me. I'm not–not great at making good first impressions. Unless I'm doing an interview," you told him. "Which makes no sense because you'd think I’m just overall awkward in all social situations, but no, apparently I can handle interviews," you continued, aware you had begun to ramble but couldn't seem to stop. "Which is probably because having a goal in mind for a conversation sort of…focuses me. Otherwise I feel like there's twenty different trains of thought going on at once up here," you explained, gesturing to your head even though he couldn't see it, "and sometimes that filter doesn't catch everything before something weird or embarrassing comes out."
You both continued walking, Matt entirely silent again now as you finally fell quiet beside him. Slowly you began to feel like you'd finally made him realize just how awkward and strange you were and now maybe he finally regretted that one drink he asked you so persistently to stay for Monday night. You sighed, grip tightening on your purse strap.
"See? I made this weird," you pointed out.
Matt chuckled softly, shaking his head. "No, actually. That just was an interesting insight into why your brain probably brought up me murdering you on the way home a bit ago."
You cringed at the reminder. "Can we maybe forget I said that thinking it might have been a funny joke?"
"Only if you tell me if you really think I have bad lines," he quickly countered.
You shot him a look, one brow raised. "You really want my opinion on your pickup lines?" you asked.
"Yes, enlighten me," he said as a smile spread onto his face. "You're the first woman to complain about them."
You snorted, the sound unflattering as his smile only grew. You blamed that damn handsome smile on his face directed at you for the reason that you suddenly blurted, "No one complains because you're really, really good looking."
Matt chuckled, his brows rising behind his glasses at you as you realized what you'd just said aloud. Groaning, you threw a hand to your face.
"That came out of my mouth didn't it?" you asked, your voice muffled behind your hand.
"Is there any other place you speak from that I'm unaware of?" he quipped back.
"I knew letting you walk me home would be a bad idea," you grumbled into your hand.
"Why?" he asked, tone teasing. "Because you think I'm really, really good looking?"
You ran a hand nervously through your hair, unable to look at him after that admission. You were pretty sure your face was beet red. "My foot is taking permanent residence in my mouth the more time I spend around you."
"That sounds uncomfortable," he replied.
"You think there's a bus running out here this late that could hit me?" you mused, your eyes scanning the fairly empty street beside you. "Maybe a taxi even? A bicycle? Anything ?"
Matt chuckled, his hand reaching out and lightly grabbing your arm beside him. Your eyes immediately darted down to it, very aware of each of his fingers over the fabric of your cardigan. Gradually, your eyes traveled up to his face, those dark tinted glasses still covering his eyes.
“I meant to call you,” he stated firmly. “Believe it or not, I enjoyed talking with you the other night. And so did Karen and Foggy. We all wanted to see you again.”
Oh. So this was a friendship thing. He liked you as a friend . He enjoyed talking to you as a friend . Same as him spending time with Karen, Foggy, or Marci. His friends .
How stupid were you to think that the flirting and teasing were anything more than just banter between friends? That he would want your number to actually take you on a date? He was a successful, handsome, well-spoken lawyer who’s best friend had just minutes ago admitted that he got a lot of phone numbers. You were just the interesting quirky new friend he’d met who amused him.
You felt your stomach drop at the realization, your hands releasing the strap of your purse as your arms crossed over your chest. Matt’s hand had long released your arm as you both continued walking, but you saw him glance at you.
“You seem like your mood just shifted,” Matt pointed out. “You’re awfully quiet. What twenty different trains of thought are running through your mind?”
You sighed, shaking your head. Your apartment building was thankfully a few buildings over now and you were ready to forget this whole week.
“Nothing, my building is right here though,” you answered him.
He came to a stop and you did as well. You awkwardly shifted back and forth on your feet across from him, not entirely sure what to say here. You felt a little foolish for thinking he’d felt something more.
“Thanks for uh, walking me back,” you muttered.
"It was my pleasure," he answered with a warm smile.
You frowned in response. Why did he have to be so charming and good-looking? It wasn't fair and it certainly wasn’t helping that stupid crush you were very obviously forming.
"I uh, guess I'll see you," you said awkwardly.
"How about next Friday?" he asked quickly.
Your heart rate increased, your arms tightening around your chest. Was he asking you out?
"Uh, sure?" you answered hesitantly.
His smile grew at your response. "Great! Foggy, Karen, and I always meet up at Josie’s on Friday nights. Usually around six. Sometimes Marci stops by, too. We'd all love to have you come out again."
Right. Because you were just like his friends. He wasn't going to ask you out.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
You forced a smile onto your face and tried to sound cheerful when you replied. "Sounds great, I'll stop by if work doesn't hold me up."
And as you both said goodbye, you taking a moment to watch him leave, you told yourself it would be stupid to try to chase after a man like Matthew Murdock. You weren't even sure if you really planned to go back to Josie’s again, even if you enjoyed meeting and spending time with everyone. Because then you'd get to know Matt more, and he seemed like the sort of guy that you'd find yourself spending way too much time pining over.
And he'd made it pretty clear you were just his friend.

Fortune favors the Bold ⛓
TDI!Duncan x Juvie Bestfriend! Reader ⛓
Chapter Ten: How ba-a-a-ad can I be?
Duncan held his head in his hands as he listened to Sadie scream for Katie. Those screams sounded familiar. Those screams sounded like his mom. You were staring numbly at your hands. "It was a long goodbye." Bridgette explained once she had finally came back with the girl.
Finally, the other team showed up holding green jello with a worm in it. "We got some extra dessert after our tuck-shop party." Gwen explained. "Thought you might want some." Trent continued. "So what? Your just being nice?" Courtney asked mildly confused.
"Okay. Owen stank up our cabin and we needed some time to air out." Gwen finally admitted. Owen farted again causing Trent to give him an annoyed glance.
Beth brought the green jello over to Courtney who very quickly voiced her displeasure with the substance. "No!" She yelled causing Duncan to give her a strange look. "You on a diet or something?" Duncan questioned. "I just don't like green jello." Courtney hissed crossing her arms.
Beth then brought the jello over to DJ, Duncan, and you but the man beside you yelled "Snake!" and threw the plate of jello and Cody explained. "It's just a gummy worm." The boy said confused.
DJ apologized. "Snakes just freak me out." He explained. "I feel you, chickens give me the creeps man." Tyler put a hand on the mans shoulder.
"Your afraid of chickens?" Gwen asked. "Wow- that's really lame man." Duncan laughed causing you to punch him hard.
---
You looked dead in the cameras eyes. "Now suddenly these idiots are sharing their fears and I just know I'll lose my shit if someone asks me."
You leave the outhouse in a hurry.
---
"I'm not afraid of anything." Courtney says when someone asks her. "Baloney." in unison you and Duncan cough into your fists and suddenly the whole group is looking at you. "What exactly are your phobia's Mrs. and Mr. Fearless?" Courtney replied snarkily.
Everyone was looking at you both.
"... Ce-Celion Dion music store standees." Duncan admitted and you rolled your eyes. The way he discovered that fear was SO stupid. But that's a story for another day.
"Zombies, I guess." You sighed holding yourself in your arms. Trent explained what a standee was to Lindsay and Courtney made fun of Duncan which was quickly met with a protective (girl-) friend glare.
Oh she was so sure you two were dating.
Ten years ago
Duncan and you were walking through a mall. You were seven and he was eight. You came across a music store and you told him you'd be right back. You wanted to see if you could get a record for your mom who was becoming super sick.
He waited outside the store, tying and untying his shoes to keep himself busy.
You were taking a long time so he decided to go inside the store. He couldn't find you, but he wasn't worried. When he tried to exit the large store he realized he couldn't find the exit, he kept running into standees... Celion Dion standees.
When you finally found him it was when he was cowering under a table of records nearly pulling out his hair hyperventilating.
---
The next day at breakfast Chris announced the days challenge. "Okay campers, your next challenge is something I like to call 'phobia factor'." You had to laugh at how quickly everyones expressions changed.
"Prepare to face your worst fears!" He yelled across the tables. "Oh we're screwed." You laughed causing Duncan to pale. "How does he know?" Duncan muttered. "The cameras. The god damn cameras." You pointed out the obvious.
"First up: Heather, it's sumo time. Meet us at the theatre. Gwen, you me, the beach... a few tons of sand." The gopher team began to pale.
He went through the entire gopher team, some freaked out, some didn't. Then it was your turn, well more specifically, Duncan's turn. The standee was staring at you team in a creepy manner.
"I don't wanna." Duncan whined to you, but you saw past the facade. You saw the seven year old kid who was terrified and couldn't find a way out and kept seeing this creepy mother fu-
"You don't have too." You whispered. "We'll be fine without it." You grabbed his hand squeezing it. "Just do it." Tyler screamed. Then Duncan gave the creepy standee a hug, after the fifteen seconds were done you ran and gave him a hug.
Now it was your turn.
Chef Hatchet had nine interns covered in makeup. Your mission was too watch them. Chris buried them and your team left to watch you through a camera.
The interns broke through the sand, covered in the zombie makeup. But there was this one intern who got REALLY into the game, she started moaning and hissing. "Y/N, my dear, come back to me." and the worst part was, this girl looked exactly like your mom. She had the curly brown hair, and had your eyes. You felt this anxiety crawl at your throat.
Your mother died when you where eight, she had this disease that ate at her brain, so this intern, who had makeup on to look like she had her brains aten came crawling at your feet?
There was no wonder you began hyperventilating.
The zombie-boy interns grabbed your shoulders and began to drag you back to the 'cementary'. If you didn't stop the challenge by the time they dragged you back, you'd win.
But then the girl began holding onto your ankles with this creepy smile. "Oh my sweet bee, how I've missed you..." that stupid nickname your mama always called you..
When you regained conciousness Duncan was pulling you off the intern. "Dollface, let's go. You got us the points." He was yelling and finally you stopped punching the unconcious girl.
You were shaking.
"Yeah. Yeah let's go." You whispered and he lead you off.
You watched as your teamates faced their fears. Duncan turned to look at you and laugh after Geoff got pelted by the hail but found that you were gone.
He found you in the outhouse smoking.
---
"I wonder, how I haven't died yet." You whispered. "But then I feel this wind in my hair wiping the tears off my face, and new breath in my lungs and remember that the angel who's watching over me, is my mami." Your voice was shaking.
"She just looked, so much like my mom." You explained tears streaming down your face. "My mom, my mom, who I never got to say goodbye too." Your body shook.
Duncan opened up the door to see his best friend crying and smelling like weed. The second you saw him your rubbed your eyes and gave him a lighthearted smile. "Hi, Tarun." You waved half-heartedly.
He gave you a glare
"Duncan, I miss my mama." Your words turned broken, and you choked on a cry. "I know, sweetheart. I know." Duncan sat down next to you and you put your head on his shoulder.

The other team looked at you both wearily when you returned. Your knuckles were blood red and you had tear marks on your face. But you both were smiling which was a clear sign that you both got VERY high.
You watched everyone face their fear and you even cheered for both teams.
But when it was Tylers turn to go into the chicken coop you laughed behind your hand. "There's no hope for that one." Duncan chuckled.
Tyler had a panic attack on the floor and you bit the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from laughing, so hard that blood flooded your mouth.
---
Courtney was scared of jelly.
Green jelly.
Duncan was already making plans to dress up in a costume for halloween. All Courtney had to do... was jump... into... the jelly.
Your eye twitched.
---
You weren't surprised when she couldn't do it. To quote your best friend. "Coward fucking Courtney."
So of course your team lost... again.
---
That night at the elimination bonfire it went as usual. Chris offered you two marshmallows because he saw how upset you were, and had apologized for the interns behavior.
You expected Courtney to go home, you knew that Duncan had voted for her, as well as yourself. But in the end Tyler went home.
And in totally unrelated news, Duncan and you had put one hundred and four chickens on a boat that totally was not the losers boat. (If you hear Tyler screaming... don't ask questions)
---
Your team trudged back to your cabin in a sort of a depressed funk. DJ and you stayed outside in silence for a moment. "Can I be honest?" He sighed leaning back on the porch's stairs. "You never should be honest with an ex-con, but go ahead." You gave him this crazy looking smile.
"I don't get it." He admitted. "What?" You were confused. "How did they know your mama was dead? What do they have on you?" DJ questioned. That was a fair question. The only person who knew your mom was dead was your father, you, Duncan, one private doctor, Duncan's father-
Your heart skipped a beat.
"I don't know." You lied straight through your teeth.
"Well I'm sorry, kid. You've been through a lot haven't you?" DJ put a hand on your shoulder and you smiled weakly. "Lemme tell you about it some day." You smirked. "I'd love to hear it." DJ smiled warmly.

Disclaimer: I don't own Voltron Legendary Defender or Voltron Force.
Author Note: This is based on Chibi_Pix's series "Katie's Personal Hell (adult siblingverse au)." However, this is a clean, friendly for all story. This is also Chief/Krolia as the romantic pairing and Chief and VF Keith as brothers.
"Namesake"
Keith yawned as he turned his steering wheel. He had wanted to sleep till noon, but his older brother had ruined that plan. He was rudely awakened by his phone ringing. When he answered it, all his brother said was to cone over as soon as he could. Despite that cryptic comment, Keith still made coffee.
He pulled his army paid SUV into the spot next to his brother's motorcycle and behind the family car. He turned off the vehicle, grabbed the keys and his coffee, and exited the SUV, closing the door with his hip. He clipped his keys to his belt loop before taking a drink of his coffee as he walked to his brother's house. He raised his hand to knock on the door but paused as it opened. Chief was standing on the other side with a smile on his face. "Keith! I'm glad you could make it!"
"It sounded urgent."
"Not urgent but definitely important." Chief led Keith into the master bedroom. "Come meet your nehew."
"Krolia had the baby?"
"Yes, I did," Krolia spoke up from her spot on the bed. She was holding a blanket wrapped baby in her arms. Keith gingerly sat down nearby. "Meet your namesake."
"What?"
"This is our son, Keith Yorak Kogane," Chief clarified as he sat down next to his wife, who briefly nuzzled his cheek.
"I'm honored that you named him after me, well, my first name anyway." Keith had tears in his eyes as Krolia placed baby Keith in his uncle's arms. As Keith's blue eyes met with the baby's unusual purple eyes, Keith smiled. "Hi, I'm your Uncle Akira, and we're going to have some good times together because," Keith lifted his eyes to lock eyes with the new parents, "unless I'm on twenty-four hour duty, I want to babysit."

does dark!mafia!stucky have constant security for their little when the two of them aren’t around? also! does this reader have a name like katie cat? I love your stories!
Darling! So so so so sorry for the delay answering this. Please forgive me?
So....it's incredibly rare that Dark!Mafia!Stucky AREN'T around you 24/7. Their empire is fully aware that they'll probably see one of them, but not the other, as the other one will always be with you. It caused a few problems in the beginning, but one look from the bosses, or one profanity laced order, or one pointed gun would quickly straighten out the situation...or the person causing the problem. There is very little in the world that would keep them both away from you, and in their eyes if you are with one or both of them, there is no place safer for you to be.
But of course there are moments that they both must be there, and you absolutely cannot be. That's when Sam is there. You love Sam and trust him wholeheartedly. What you don't know is that when Sam is on duty, there is a veritable armed battalion in the next room, surrounding the perimeter of whichever building you're in, covering the roof and all exit points, as well as trained snipers watching every window. If Steve and Bucky can't be with you, then by god their entire army will be.
As for a name....Hmmmmm....she doesn't have one yet. She's their Princess, so they haven't told me what her name is yet. They probably are trying to keep her a secret from me for her own safety. :)
