Sałata z ośmiornicą, pomidorkami, oliwkami, kaparami, rukolą i dzikim ryżem

Jeśli wciąż nie odważyliście się skonfrontować z ośmiornicą w kuchni, to postaram się Was do tego przekonać.
Nie jest to wszak spotkanie z Krakenem, legendarnym gigantycznym potworem morskim o fizjonomii kałamarnicy, tylko szybkie i bezkolizyjne przygotowanie niewielkiego głowonoga.
Ośmiornica jest delikatna, miękka i nieco gumowata w strukturze, zaś w smaku przypomina kalmary lub przegrzebki. Nie wymaga szczególnej obróbki, ani ekwilibrystycznych sztuczek. Jeśli jest świeża, wystarczy ją delikatnie ugotować lub kupić gotową do spożycia.
Najczęściej jej mięsiste macki trafiają do sałat, duszonych warzyw (pomidory, ciecierzyca, fasola), makaronów i risott. Córka mórz i oceanów lubi się z przyziemnymi ziemniakami, zarówno gotowanymi, jaki i smażonymi lub pieczonymi. Często jest grillowana, podobnie jak inne owoce morza (ach, moja pamięć węchowa już zaprowadziła mnie na chorwackie wyspy, do tamtejszych owianych dymnym aromatem tawern... mrrr...).
Tymczasem u mnie ośmiornica wylądowała na talerzu wraz z pomidorkami, oliwkami, kaparami, cebulą, rukolą i dzikim ryżem. Wyrazistości dodał jej czosnek z oliwą z oliwek i sokiem z cytryny.
Ciekawa jestem czy Wam to połączenie przypadnie do gustu?
Składniki:
2/3 szklanki dzikiego ryżu ok. 250 g macek ośmiornicy (gotowanych) duża garść rukoli garść pomidorków koktajlowych pół szklanki oliwek (zielonych lub czarnych) 2 łyżki kaparów 1/2 cebuli 2 ząbki czosnku kilka łyżek oliwy z oliwek e.v. 1-2 łyżki soku z cytryny łyżeczka suszonego oregano sól i czarny pieprz do smaku
Wykonanie:
Dziki ryż gotuje się długo, ok. 30-40 minut, więc zacząć od niego. W małym garnku zagotować wodę, osolić, wsypać ryż i zająć się resztą.
Cebulę i czosnek obrać. Cebulę pokroić w cienkie półplasterki. Czosnek zmiażdżyć płaską stroną noża i maksymalnie rozdrobnić.
Macki pokroić na kawałki ok. 2 cm. Pomidorki opłukać i przeciąć na połówki.
Ugotowany ryż odcedzić na sicie.
Do miski wlać oliwę, sok z cytryny, wsypać przyprawy i dodać ośmiornicę. Wymieszać i odczekać 5-7 minut. Dorzucić resztę składników i delikatnie wymieszać.
Wykładać na talerze. Podawać z cząstką cytryny i pieczywem. Konsumować w towarzystwie lub solo.

Slice & Dice
The next game being played for TVGP's We Rogue-like It series.
Demo was free on mobile, $7 full unlock.
Tried one run of the demo, beat it, and immediately bought the full unlock.
Beat the first Easy run I did. This game is so cool.
You control 5 and go through 20 battles of enemies. Starting off your 5 are basically a rogue, fighter, defender, healer, and mage. Every time you win a battle you get an equipment or level up one character. Leveling up changes a character's class.
Every character has a 6-sided die for their skills. A character's class and equipment determine the faces of their die. So the defender-type classes have a lot of shields, the healer-types lots of health regen, etc.
In battle, every turn you and your enemies roll for what they are going to do. Everyone can do one thing and you have a number of rerolls if you don't like your results. It always shows what your enemy is going to do too, so you are able to plan accordingly. You also have extra spells that you can use any time you have mana for them.
All of this makes up a very cool game.

Walang KaParis
Finished the second half of the movie.
Joseph happens upon Mary who is working at a Pares (braised beef stew) shop. He immediately falls in love and begins to woo her. He tells her a lot of the things she tells him in the first half of the movie. After a while she realizes she's in love too. Before she can tell him, he gets hit by a drunk driver and loses his memory. Fast forward in time to a scene where he finds the original painting he did of her and he miraculously remembers everything. Then a replay of the scene from the beginning where he tries but she dumps him. Then a few years later, they happen to meet again and they can finally work out.
Overall it was a decent movie. Second half was a pretty cute parallel to the first half. I like that they mentioned "you fall in love three times in your life" multiple times in the movie and it happens to them. Also, not a fan of either of Joseph's hairstyles but Mary's was nice.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Episode 6 - We Take a Zebra to Vegas
The trio arrive at the Lotus Casino to find Hermes. Grover splits off and finds another Satyr. Percy and Annabeth go find Hermes. Hermes tells them no he can't help them, but does in a roundabout way. Annabeth takes his car keys and he left hints for their quest in the car. The car teleports them to Santa Monica. Percy finds out that Poseidon couldn't meet him because he had to get ready for war. Percy receives teleport pearls.
First "Wise Girl"
There were quite a few funny parts to this episode, especially "Grover got old."
Was fun trying to see if they put Nico in the background of the casino.

Zrobic gorące maliny, będą podane dziś wieczorem na ciasteczkach z lodami waniliowymi bo moja mama taki deser sobie wymarzyła. Ang unang dampi ng araw sa aking pisngi'y kaparis ng panatag na halik mula sa mahabagin mong mga labi. Sa tuwing lulusot ang maninipis na silahis ng araw sa singit-singit ng mga dahon, mga babahagya mong pagsilip sa akin ang gunita.
Sa tuwing babahain ng liwanag ang sala tuwing alas tres ng hapon, dinidilidili ang pagkalunod ko sa nag-uumapaw mong pagsuyo. Sa paglubog ng araw, ay nakikita kitang masayang namamaalam sa himapapawid. Ngunit hindi gaya ng araw, sa umaga'y hindi ka na magbabalik.

Um, possibly Karma by Taylor Swift since that was the last song she sang in her concert and I spent a /lot/ (too much) of yesterday finding clips from the said concert. Also currently have this is me trying open in a tab but haven’t listened to it yet. 
Last Show: (referring to my previous answer) Watching a concert online doesn’t count, right? In that case, I think it was Diandra’s (a Finnish singer) concert in November. Yeah, I don’t really get to go to these often bc I live in the middle of nowhere :d
Currently watching: I watch very few TV shows these days (aside from certain anime but I’m not gonna list them here) but I currently have a tinykittens (a Canadian cat rescue organisation) livestream open and I take a peek at it every once in a while. Those Bramble kittens are super cute ♥ (I would absolutely love it if I happened to have a fellow TinyVillager following me! So if you do, pls come talk to me!)
Currently reading: While my TBR list is ever growing, I have to be honest, I haven’t really been reading published books for several months now. Blame the Jily fics. They are way better :P But if I have to mention one, I’ve been reading this book by the Finnish translator of Harry Potter (Jaana Kapari) where she tells about her translating process and it’s honestly pretty interesting, makes me wish I was a translator too.
(As for the Jily fics, do not ask me how many fic tabs I have currently open. I literally just visited the Jily tag here and was like :--------O ‘Oh wow, a lot of authors seem to have decided to post stuff last night’)
Current obsession: my poor friend @criis55 who has to listen to my ramblings every day would be able to testify for this: currently it’s Taylor Swift. I wanna talk about what my relationship with her music is because I’m not a long time Swiftie unlike so many of the people I’ve seen here are. I first started paying attention to some of her songs maaaaybe around the time I started writing Caleo fics so ~ 2020 (obviously I knew some of her hit songs before that but I couldn’t call myself a fan) but a year later she released Red (TV), incl. All Too Well 10 minute version and that was probably when I started thinking, hey, this song is wonderful, I should give a chance to her other songs too. Since then I’ve been slowly getting more familiar with her other albums (it’s been a longish process bc she has a /lot/ of songs and as a non native English speaker I need to be able to see the lyrics to know what’s really going on in the song) and found more songs that I enjoy. This very week is an important milestone to me when it comes to me being her fan because she just released 4 new songs/new versions of her old songs and started her tour and I get to follow it from the beginning and as a relatively new fan I find all that really exciting. Hence you may also see me talking about this more here on tumblr as well. 
Well, other than TS, Jily ofc remains high on my current obsessions list ♥

600 gr Somon fileto, derili
Marinasyon:
20 ml beyaz şarap
40 ml zeytinyağı
Tuz ve karabiber
200 gr Kiraz domates
2 yeşil soğan, doğranmış
60 gr yeşil zeytin, çekirdeği çıkarılmış
3 yemek kaşığı kapari
3 yemek kaşığı taze, iri kıyılmış maydanoz
60 ml özü sızma zeytinyağı
1/2 çay kaşığı kuru kekik
Tuz ve karabiber (zevkinize göre)
Parşömen kağıdı
1. Marineyi hazırlayın: marine malzemeleri orta boy bir ölçüm kabında birleştirin. İyice çırpın.
2. Balığı marine edin: Somonu büyük bir fermuarlı poşete koyun. Marineyi balığın üzerine dökün. Poşetin içindeki fazla havayı alın, poşeti sığ bir tabağa koyun ve 30-60 dakika buzdolabında bekletin.
3. Pişirin: Hazır olduğunda, balığı marinadan çıkarın, poşeti ve fazla marinayı atın. Balığınızı her iki tarafına tuz ve karabiber serpin. Balığı bir tavada derisi aşağı bakacak şekilde bir parça parşömen kağıdının ortasına yerleştirin.
4. Kiraz domatesleri, zeytinleri, soğanları, maydanozu, kaparileri ve zeytinyağını birleştirin. Somonu karışımla çevreleyin.
5. Fırını 180C dereceye önceden ısıtın. Balığı fırının orta rafında 30 dakika pişirin ve servis edin.
Salmon in paper
600g Salmon filet, skin on
Marinade:
20 ml white wine
40 ml olive oil
Salt and pepper
200g Cherry tomatoes
2 green onions, chopped
60g green olives, pitted
3 tablespoons capers
3 tablespoons fresh, coarsely chopped parsley
60 ml extract virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dry thyme
Salt and Pepper to taste
Parchment paper
1. Make marinade: Combine all marinade ingredients in a medium measuring jug. Whisk well.
2. Marinate fish: Place salmon in large zip-top bag. Pour marinade over fish. Remove excess air from bag, place bag in a shallow dish and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes
3. Cook: Once ready, remove fish from marinade, discarding bag and excess marinade. Salt and pepper your fish liberally on both sides. Place fish in the middle of a piece of parchment papers in a pan skin side down.
4. Combine cherry tomatoes, olives, onions, parsley, capers and olive oil. Surround the salmon with the mixture.
5. Preheat oven 180C. Bake the fish for 30 minutes on the middle rack of the oven and serve.

Conchiglioni z łososiem, mascarpone i kaparami pod beszamelem

To było tak. Kupiłam dużą paczkę conchiglioni, bo zobaczyłam je w sklepie, przypomniały mi się muszle ze szpinakiem i serami i zapragnęłam je powtórzyć. Później przyszło mi do głowy, żeby napełnić muszle rybą. Niebawem wyklarowała się koncepcja na farsz z łososia, mascarpone i kaparów pod beszamelem.
Wiedziałam, że przepis przypadnie do gustu mojej córce, wielkiej amatorce łososia. Cieszyłam się na myśl o jej zadowolonej minie, gdy będzie pochłaniała kolejne muszle. Wszystkie składniki już czekały.
Dzień przed planowanym obiadem-niespodzianką siedziałyśmy w kinie oglądając "Bulion i inne namiętności". Bohaterka przygotowywała rozmaite frykasy, m.in. pot-au-feu, przepiórki, turbota, vol-au-vent, kontrowersyjne w hodowli i przygotowaniu trznadle ortolany, warzywa pod beszamelem, omlet norweski obecnie znany jako pieczona Alaska.
Jako, że obie interesujemy się kuchnią, część z potraw znałam i dyskretnie opowiadałam o nich córce. Na hasło "beszamel" moja latorośl rzuciła: nie znoszę beszamelu! I w tym właśnie momencie pomysł na conchiglioni z łososiem pod beszamelem posypał się.
Zrobiłam zwykły posiłek, a muszle przygotowałam następnego dnia i zjadłam ze znajomymi. Przeczuwałam, że będzie to dobre danie, ale nie sądziłam, że aż tak! Choć spędziłam pysznie wieczór, brakowało mi kogoś przy stole.
Może za jakiś czas? Upodobania kulinarne zmieniają się i dojrzewają wraz z człowiekiem...
Składniki:
300 g conchiglioni 400 g filetu z łososia 300 g serka mascarpone średnia cebula 3 gałązki szczypioru 2 jaja 2 czubate łyżki drobnych kaparów 3 łyżki bułki tartej sól i czarny pieprz do smaku 2 gałązki naci pietruszki (opcjonalnie)
Sos beszamelowy 1/3 kostki masła 1/3 szklanki mąki ok. 1/2 l mleka 150 g sera Gruyere (lub innego twardego o wyrazistym smaku) 1/3 łyżeczki gałki muszkatołowej sól i czarny pieprz do smaku
Wykonanie:
Przygotować dwa żaroodporne naczynia do zapiekania lub jedno bardzo duże.
W garnku nastawić wodę do gotowania.
Z łososia odciąć skórę, a następnie pokroić go w małą kosteczkę (ok. 7 mm). Cebulę obrać i pokroić w drobną kosteczkę. Szczypior również drobno posiekać. Podobnie kapary i natkę pietruszki.
Na rozgrzanym oleju rzepakowym zezłocić cebulę. Gdy lekko przestygnie przełożyć do miski i wymieszać z łososiem, szczypiorem, kaparami, mascarpone, po trochu dodając rozkłócone jaja i bułkę tartą. Dosmakować solą i sporą ilością pieprzu.
Gdy woda zawrze osolić, wrzucić muszle i gotować 2/3 czasu z podanego na etykiecie. Odcedzić na sicie.
Na dużej patelni rozpuścić masło, wsypać mąkę i zrobić zasmażkę. Podlewać mlekiem i energicznie mieszać rózgą, by nie było grudek. Gdy powstanie luźny sos, dorzucić starty ser i mieszać do jego rozpuszczenia. Jeśli sos będzie zbyt gęsty, dolać mleka. Beszamel powinien mieć konsystencję śmietany. Doprawić pieprzem i gałką muszkatołową.
Do naczynia do zapiekania (u mnie dwa: większe i mniejsze) wlać na dno część beszamelu i rozsmarować po całej powierzchni. Ostudzone muszle wypełniać przygotowanym farszem i układać przytulone do siebie. Obsypać dodatkową porcją pieprzu i polać drugą częścią sosu (połowę wzbogaciłam nacią pietruszki).
Wstawić do piekarnika nagrzanego na 180°C i piec przez około 30 minut, aż sos uzyska złoty kolor.
Podawać z lekką sałatą, np. rukolą z pomidorkami i winogronami skropionymi oliwą z oliwek.

Walang KaParis
GF wanted to watch Filipino movies/shows to help learn Tagalog. This is the first one. We stopped halfway through and will continue next week.
Starts off with a man named Joseph being rejected by a woman in a cafe in Paris. Then rewinds to when they met in Paris. He's working as a mime and she happens upon him. Cue dating phase. After being together for a while, he starts to feel unhappy with the relationship. The woman, Mary, keeps dropping hints that this wasn't their first attempt at romance. Once he breaks up with her, she begins to tell the story of the previous time they met, in Baguio.
It seems like just a fun rom com on the surface but there's consistent hints that Joseph has some mental issues. He can't remember a lot of things, including the person he loves apparently. It'll be fun to see how this ends.

Ang talab ng igting ng isip sa katawan - Sa Ibong Adarna, si Haring Fernando ng kaharian ng Bernanya ay nahihirapang malaman kung kanino ipapasa ang susi ng kaharian at dahil dito ang kaniyang katawan ay nalumo sa isang karamdaman na maaaring pumatay sa kaniya. Ayon sa isang diwata (isang mahiwagang nilalang na inilarawan niya bilang waring sugo ng Langit) na nagparoon sa kaniyang panaginip, ang kaniyang karamdaman ay tulong sa kapasyahan kung sino sa kaniyang mga anak ang makabuluhang o marapat magmana ng kaniyang trono. Kung sinumang siyang makakuha ng lunas sa kaniyang sakit ay siyang makakatunayang marapat.
