Just wanting to vent about my upcoming baby shower. 34 people invited...barely 20 have RSVP'd. No gifts bought from registry and it's a little over a week away. I'm so irritated at people saying "oh I'm sure you'll get most of what you need." With 20 people and no registry gifts?! I doubt it. I fear that the majority will be bought by my husband and our parents. Because everyone is assuming others will get what's needed. I'm worried barely anyone will show and won't bring much, or anything at all. My MIL and grandma's (in law) have worked so hard and people can't even RSVP. Wtf. I'm starting to think that only a handful are actually excited. And in my immediate family, the last baby was nearly a decade ago. Sure, my cousins have been having babies more consistently. But no offers of hand me downs. Nothing. It's so stressful. And the RSVP is clicking a damn button on Facebook. It's not that hard!! Ugh. Why even have a baby shower if it's going to be small, and full of people who bought nothing from the registry? Whats the point?! Why wait until the last minute to say anything? Why just show up? We asked for RSVP for a damn reason. People can be so inconsiderate at times.
