Update on this, I got my account back!!

Discord support were angels and solved my issue under 24 hours, thankfully! Gonna write a little about what happened undercut in case anyone goes through something similar and to inform about this sort of scam, because tbh it seemed quite ellaborate to me. TLDR: They steal an account, dont change anything in the profile and impersonate the user, deceiving until they can snatch some coin from you.

So, what happened was: It was already night and I heading to sleep after a tiring day when I opened discord to check it and there was a message on my inbox from a profile which seemed like any regular user from a game server. Im sharing this profile in behalf of informing it might be harmful, but please DO NOT direct any type of violence or hate speech at it. I do believe this acc belonged to someone who fell to this scam and got their acc stole.

As an artist, some people seek to me on discord to chat about art or ask abt commissions so I didnt thought it was strange at first. the user sent me the following message:

I wasnt able to indentify the scam there but I should have - I checked my email to see If i got notified by discord and by my surprise there wasnt anything about it. they followed to sent me a print of their "discord request ticket"

Another clue that I just was too dumb to take (this is not the usual way discord will contact you) it seemed too legit to me. And I did contact the acc, which was that profile:

now its mostly blank but this profile was with some icons claiming to be discord support team. To be honest I dont use discord very much, Im trying to be more active in there recently but in truth I barelly interact - saying that because to an experienced discord user/someone that uses it everyday, this must be very obviously scam. in the following conversation with this user, they asked me to inform date of birth and country, which I mindlessly did (never share that kind of stuff with strangers on the internet), and seeing now i know it was asking for getting scammed because discord doesnt need that sort of data to verify your acc. the user also provided his "discord credentials"

Now this seemed very legit to me (I know i was a fool pls dont judge me), but still i didnt got ANY email about any of that and that was the biggest clue.

Ok so basically after that theytold me to change my email address temporaly to an address they provided, claiming that it would put my account on "discord custody to mitigate potential risks" and it would be temporarily deactivated to prevent scams from happening. (Also the email was @ hotmail.com which was basically screaming in my face that it was a scam because any trustyworth corp. has its own domain.) Then I changed it (please never do that) and then they said that I needed to continue the process in another account since mine would be temp. deactivated. When I questioned the need of it, they sent me the following message.

now this here frightened me a little and I got very scared of losing my discord, then I just followed the process. I made an acc with a different email from my main, and kept talking to this user. Their manner of speaking was very professional and deceived me into erasing the emails from discord in my inbox and trash bin claiming that they were preventing the scanning of my acc. (Yeah basically I just gave my house keys to a stranger and got locked outside.)

now the moment I stopped and actually googled the situation was this: they asked me to make a purchase in behalf of validate my account and again Discord would never do such a thing.

its infuriating because looking now it was too obvious, I should just had to ignore everything once I realised there were no official notifications about bans or reports on my email. I found this reddit post from a year ago, which is basically the same issue. After seeing the reddit post and comments I sent an email to discord official support contact in their site, and they helped me recovering my access. Im afraid that the scam is basically that: They steal the account, dont change anything and impersonate the person (Like I believe they impersonate [magnanapina] and I was afraid they would impersonate myself, targeting fellows) and keep doing this scheme to in the end snatch some coin from you. All of this seemed very elaborate and legit to me, so Im sharing it hopefully it might inform and prevent it from happening again with anyone seeing this. Be weary and be safe!

 About process:

I sent you a first sketch (within some days after the email request) and we can talk about any changes :D. The payment is made after that if you approve it, and we follow to the final art. 

I do the commissions in order of request, the final piece will be delivered in about 2-3 weeks after the sketch, depending on its difficult to make. And also im still a uni studant so sometimes i got into Highly Desperate Uni Hours™ and it can take a little longer ;-;. 

About alterations

Big alterations can be done at any sketch/lining/coloring phases, but as much we can figure everything out earlier better ;). Small alterations up to 2 days after the final artwork.

Hi guys - some of you might have noticed that I sort of disapeared for a while, it was due to a health problem I had in the end october last year. I got severe physical issues and ended with a burnout that made both my work and uni performance hit flat in the ground (ive been in the edge for a long while tbh). It was hard to keep up with all the demands and even looking at screens was giving me migraines. I hope to get back to posting more stuff soon - Im still not runnout of bg3 ideas yet...

Lesson learned: listen to your body when it asks for a break.
