No Temple Holds Her Name

She was never worshipped in golden halls. No chants rose for her at dawn. But the rivers know. The trees still bow. The wind trembles at the syllables of her name, long lost to the tongues of men.

Some say she was born of rain and ruin. Others believe she’s the last echo of an ancient promise— One the earth made to the sky, and then quietly broke.

Draped in twilight silk, adorned with antlers and waterlight, she walks the forgotten paths where the sacred and the untamed entwine. To some, she is a guardian. To others, an omen. To most… a myth.

A digital drawing I did almost a year ago now, I’d been looking at a lot of art by the comic artist Moebius (Jean Giraud) and was inspired by his work. (It is also the drawing in my header image)

I also referenced the tianzi mountains in China and took inspiration from scenery of south france whilst I was there.

Since 1. December 2022, I’ve been making illustrations for NTNU HUNT Cloud. HUNT Cloud provides solutions for scientific cloud computing within a high-trust framework; if you’re a researcher, you can do data-driven science through HUNT Cloud. My job is to help out with storytelling and identity-building for everyone involved in data-driven science. The fact that my job is to create things like this means I'm living in the best timeline :)

Fire Lizards - They don’t need to bask in the sun, they come out at night to bask in the cool darkness under the night sky.

I went to a Halloween event at the local zoo, it was great! I saw a bunch of cool animals and some great reference photos. I love transforming my photos of animals into fantasy creatures. When I finally finish moving I’ll make more!
