pairing(s): thanos x (slightly implied fem reader, but gender-neutral pronouns) x nam-gyu (separately + together)
warning(s): shower sex/smut [minors dni], dirty talk, gender-neutral pronouns, physical/psychological intensity, tension and coercion, rough handling, dubious consent, lowercase usage is intended, and my best interpretation of the two characters.
author's note: can we please talk about as to why thanos chest moved like that in the gif after he chest bumped nam-gyu. LIKE WHAT. otherwise, i was holding back myself from losing my sanity writing this. I WAS GIGGLING. please let me know if i missed anything! likes, reblogs, and comments are highly appreciated!
Tumblr media
Showering with Nam-gyu... he isn't the type to voluntarily suggest showering together. he's too prideful, too rigid in his own habits. if you try to invite him, expect resistance—he'll scoff, wave you off, maybe even sneer, "what, you think i can't wash myself?" but if you're persistent—or if he's in a vulnerable state, exhausted or frustrated—he might begrudgingly accept.
the moment he's in there with you, though, everything shifts. he doesn't like feeling exposed, so he overcompensates—gripping your wrist a little too firmly as he takes the soap from your hand, washing you instead. his touch is rougher than necessary, his jaw tight. he's testing you, seeing if you'll let him take over completely.
nam-gyu has his moments—brief moments—where he lets his guard slip just for a little bit. if you turn around and gently wash his back, he stiffens, like he doesn't know how to react. but he won't stop you. he won't say anything, but the way he stands still, the way his breath comes a little slower, tells you more than words ever could.
after you guys get out of the shower, he dries off quickly, efficiently even—wrapping the towel around his waist, avoiding eye contact, acting like nothing just happened. but if you grab a towel and start drying his hair for him? he grumbles at first, tries to shove you away, but if you're patient, he stops resisting. he won't admit it, but the warmth of your touch, the way you're taking care of him, gets to him.
Sex with Nam-gyu in the shower isn't romantic. it's raw, messy, and filled with frustration he won't ever admit. he doesn't do slow, drawn-out foreplay—his hands are rough, gripping you with a possessiveness that makes it clear this isn't about pleasure. it's about control.
you barely have time to register the heat of the water before he's pinning you to the cold tiles, his body pressing against yours, trapping you between the slick surface and his overwhelming presence. "you knew what you were doing when you pulled me in here," he mutters, his breath hot against your ear. his tone is sharp, but beneath it, there's something hungrier, something dangerous.
he doesn't give you room to breathe. his hands roam your body like he owns it, dragging down your hips, fingers pressing into the sensitive skin as he pulls you closer. the cool metal of his rings bites against your heated skin, adding an extra sharpness to every touch, every possessive grip. there's nothing slow or teasing about the way he takes you—it's intense, unrelenting, a mix of frustration and something far more desperate he'd never admit.
the shower's heat made everything slicker, your skin was burning under his touch, water running down both of you in rivulets. his lips are at your neck, biting, sucking, marking—because he wants you to remember this, to feel it longer after you step out of the shower. his hands grip your waist, tilting you just the way he wants, and when he finally thrusts into you, it's without hesitation, without restraint. you cry out from the abrupt intrusion. he grits his teeth, eyes dark with something almost feral, his grip bruising.
he's relentless, every thrust punctuated with a sharp exhale, his fingers digging into your skin to hold you still. the rings on his fingers leave ghostly impressions on your wet skin, a reminder of how firmly he holds you, how thoroughly he's claiming you.
"look at you," he growls, voice thick with amusement and something darker. "already falling apart on me?" but there's something in his expression—something deeper than just the pleasure itself. it's possession. you're his, and he's making damn sure you know it. if you look away, he doesn't hesitate to grab your jaw and lock eyes. "don't look away, look at me while i ruin you, yeah?"
even when he finishes, he doesn't pull away immediately. his arms tighten around you, his chest rising and falling heavily, forehead resting against yours for just a moment—just enough to make your heart stutter. then, as if realizing what he's done, he pulls back, his hands sliding away almost reluctantly. "get cleaned up before the water gets cold." he sounds almost as if he doesn't care, but the way he lingers for a second too long tells you everything you need to know.
Showering with Thanos/Choi Su-Bong...thanos doesn't need to be asked twice. he's casual about it like it's the most natural thing in the world. he'll lean in the doorway, shirt already half-unbuttoned or taken off completely, watching you with that cocky, knowing smile. "water's already running. you coming or what?"
he's not rough like nam-gyu—he's intrusive and deliberate. he gets too close, under the pretense of helping. fingers brushing over your collarbone as he lathers soap onto your skin, lips ghosting your temple as he murmurs something about how good the water feels (and the view too). everything he does is slow, controlled, and meant to sink into you.
he's watching your every reaction, noting every small shift in your breathing, every flicker in your gaze. "you're tense," he'll say, dragging his hands down your arms. but the way he smirks? he likes that tension—like how he can pull at it, stretch it, toy with it practically.
he'll wash your hair too gently, his fingers massaging your scalp, whispering something about how you're so trusting. but there's always something unreadable in his voice. like he's seeing how far he can push, how much you'll let him get away with. "what if i just held you under for a second?" it's a joke—probably. but you feel the way his fingers tighten, just for a moment, before he lets go.
after you guys get out of the shower though, he actually takes his time drying off, watching you as he runs the towel over his arms, down his torso. there's always something suggestive in the way he moves, in the way he watches you. and if you're still standing there, a little shaken from the whole experience? he'll just chuckle, and tease you about it before tossing the towel over his shoulder and leaving you with a lingering, too-knowing smirk.
Sex with Thanos in the shower is an entirely different experience. where nam-gyu is rough, desperate, needing to assert control, thanos takes his time. or at least, he tries to. but patience? that's not really his strong suit.
the second you step under the water, he's already behind you, hands gripping your hips, pulling you back against him like he's been starving for this. "think i can wait?" he mutters, his voice low, breath warm against your ear. "not a chance, sweetheart."
he's not gentle—he acts like he'll take his sweet time, but the second he feels your skin slick under his fingers, the temptation is too much. his hands roam over you, pressing soap into your skin, but his grip is firm, his fingers pressing into your thighs, your waist, your chest, everywhere at once.
"you're all wet for me already," he muses, his lips grazing your shoulder before he bites down just enough to make you shudder. his hand slides lower, between your legs, fingers teasing, rubbing slow circles—but only for a moment. because teasing? it's only fun for so long before he needs more.
when he finally thrusts into you, his grip tightens, one hand wrapping around your throat, the other pinning you against the glass wall of the shower. his pace is ruthless and deep, his voice a low growl against your ear. "you feel that?" he murmurs into your ear between rough thrusts. "taking me so well."
unlike nam-gyu, thanos doesn't pace himself—he loses himself in it, breathing hard, groaning your name as he ruins you under the scalding water. his impatience bleeds into every movement, his fingers digging into your skin, pulling you back against him with every sharp roll of his hips.
when he finally finishes, he doesn't even pretend to pull away. he keeps you pressed against him, breathless and spent, his lips dragging along your damp skin as he smirks. "told you i couldn't wait."
Showering with both Nam-gyu and Thanos/Choi Su-Bong? you seriously think showering with one of them was chaotic? try both. you're barely even in the water before they start their usual back-and-forth. "move over, dumbass, you're hogging all the water with how wide you are."—"this is all muscle! besides, maybe if you weren't so short, you wouldn't have to fight for it." meanwhile, you are just standing there, already regretting your life choices.
despite the bickering occasionally, they somehow effortlessly work together when it comes to messing with you. nam-gyu grabs the soap, rubbing it into your skin with just enough force to make it clear that his presence is still strongly there, while thanos watches with an infuriatingly smug expression. then, just as you're adjusting to nam-gyu's rougher touch, thanos steps in behind you, running his hands over the lathered skin nam-gyu worked over, softer but too slow, his voice dropping into something mockingly gentle. "is nam-su being too rough? let me fix that." "it's nam-gyu."
being in the shower with both of them means that the teasing will never stop. if you flinch when the water turns too hot, thanos hums, "sensitive, aren't they?" nam-gyu scoffs, "they're just weak." if you get flustered from the way they're both touching you, thanos leans in, lips ghosting your temple, "look at them, bro. they don't know what to do with themselves." nam-gyu only presents a shit-eating grin on his face, "pathetic. perhaps, we can fix that, hmmm?" and you? poor you was trying so hard not to combust in between the two males.
thanos pretends to be the more helpful one, offering to shampoo your hair like he's doing you a favor, but it's all a setup. he takes way too long, his fingers massaging your scalp in slow, circular motions, his breath warm against your neck. nam-gyu watches with narrowed eyes before stepping in and dumping way too much water over your head to rinse it out, "took too long," he mutters, but you know he did it on purpose.
the moment the shower is over, nam-gyu is out first, muttering under his breath about some things that happened during the shower. thanos, on the other hand, surprisingly, takes his time drying off with a smug expression as he watches you. he's obvious that he's clearly amused by how rattled you look. he leans in before leaving, whispering, "you should've known better than to get in with both of us."
you wanna know the worst part? they both act like nothing happened afterward—except for the occasional smirk from thanos and the side-eye from nam-gyu when you avoid looking at them. and if you get even slightly flustered thinking about it later? oh, they notice.
Having sex with both of them in the shower at once? like I've mentioned before, it was a mistake. a trap. you never stood a chance.
nam-gyu gets to you first, gripping your waist, and pulling you back against his chest. "you should've known better," he mutters, his breath hot against your ear. "letting both of us in here?" his tone is sharp, laced with amusement, but his grip is firm.
thanos, standing in front of you, just smirks. his tilts your chin up, eyes gleaming with amusement. "i think they wanted this..look how eager they are." his fingers trail down your slick skin, teasing, ghosting lower but not quite touching where you need him to.
you barely have time to react before nam-gyu decides he's had enough of thanos's games. his hands tighten on your hips, tilting you exactly the way he wants, and he doesn't hesitate when he finally thrusts into you—rough, deep, making you gasp.
thanos is only amused by the little sounds you make, watching the way your body jolts. he steps closer, tilting your head back, his lips brushing against yours as he whispers, "let's see if you can handle both of us."
and from there, it's over for you.
one of them is relentless, unforgiving in his pace, making sure you feel every inch of him. the other is just as impatient, just desperate, and you're caught between them, drowning in the intensity of it all.
by the time they're done with you, the water is cold, your legs are shaking, and both of them look way too pleased with themselves.
and worst of all? they aren't going to let you live it down.

could u maybe do like mutual virginity loss with player 125? like both of them r so shy and awkward,, i think it would be adorable.,.
So Anxious (Park Min-su/Player 125 X F! Reader SMUT)
Tumblr media
warning: smut, no way | not proofread | lowercase intended | sub x sub | virginity loss | riding | this is my interpretation of this character, please be respectful even if my opinions of the character differ from your own
character: park min-su (player 125)
A/N: decided to make this one an out of the games kinda post! i absolutely adore the idea of the reader being just as shy and nervous about the whole ordeal as min-su, thank you for the cute request! hope you enjoy :)
MDNI! 18+ content beneath the cut, readers discretion is advised
Tumblr media
➤ since you were both serious about having you first be with someone special, you guys definitely tried to talk it out beforehand. but you both ended up becoming too flustered to really continue.
“how are we gonna be able to do it if we can’t even talk about it?”
“i don’t know…i still want to though..”
➤ when you guys eventually decided to get to it, you initiated the kiss but pulled away almost immediately, covering your face sheepishly.
“sorry! am i moving too fast?”
“n-not at all!” (he was definitely blushing himself, conflicted whether or not to hide the tent in his pants considering what you two were trying to do here)
➤ at first, you guys tried making out in the typical position— you being underneath him. but, you could tell min-su wasn’t exactly confident like this, so you guys switched up to where you would be straddling him. this drove him nuts of course
➤ once you guys got into the groove of things, your nerves began to calm. sure you were both shaking, but it had a bit more to do with the sheer anticipation now coursing through your bodies each time your lips met. it wasn’t made any better when min-su eventually snuck his hands up your shirt, caressing your bare back with his cold palms. the noise you made startled him, which you felt bad for
“oh, i’m sorry.. was that too much?”
“no! no, your hands are just c-cold.. that’s all..”
“ah, did you want me to stop or-“
you shake your head “feels nice, don’t stop on my account.”
➤ you’re unsure if you should at first, but you start to grind on him, drawing a unexpected moan from beneath the kiss you were currently sharing. you broke the kiss as you started to subconsciously grind harder, avoiding eye contact out of embarrassment at the expression that must have been painting your face just then. you could tell min-su was repressing his voice just as much as you were your own— you were both positively petrified to make any sound at all, in fact. but, some stifled moans made their way past as he shifted his grasp from your back to your hips.
➤ when you guys actually ended up having sex, it was a swift matter for both parties. i mean, let’s be real here. you were both completely inexperienced virgins, you couldn’t be surprised that you guys both wound up cumming fast. however swift it may have been, you enjoyed it nonetheless. he wasn’t too big, so it didn’t hurt too badly, but it was enough to make you feel better than your fingers ever could.
➤ oh yeah, and you guys could forget about masking those moans of yours any longer. the moment you sank down onto his dick, min-su was a goner. you had never heard him make such a sound in all your life, and you even asked him if he was alright initially. sure, you may not have been so vocal at first contact, but as soon as you started moving that completely turned on its head.
➤ after the fact, you both just kind of laid there next to one another. silent. come on, you had just changed the trajectory of your friendship forever, that was a lot to process. after a moment though, you both found that neither of you could wipe those stupid grins off your faces. you had just changed the entire path of your friendship, forever. and you were both okay with that
Tumblr media
AAAA thank you so much for this adorable request! i absolutely loved writing some soft smut, however short it may have been :) thanks for reading again, and i’ll see you on the next one!
as always, any advice/constructive criticism on how to improve my writing is appreciated and requested! have a fantastic day/night lovelies 💋💋

Viktor’s commune always gave off creepy vibes, but for me, the path it was taking became crystal clear at the start of ep6. That first scene basically spells out the extent of Viktor’s corruption and how far his actions and mindset are from any kind of altruism.
@jaybejaybeyes Personally, I interpret this after having some conversations as "Victor´s dream come true".
Indeed, it is a sort of corruption, but it seems Victor is actually well-meaning here.
And look at Viktor's face when it happens. That’s not horror. That’s not astonishment. That’s not grief. It’s… mild annoyance, I'd say?
Why should he grieve Salo´s death? I am just curious. They are neither friends, nor related. Victor "healed" them, but that doesn´t make him Jesus.
He may consider himself responsible in a way, but I doubt, that he became suddenly all-loving.
And that’s the thing about Viktor’s commune — it was never about the people who joined it. It was never about understanding them, helping them, or connecting with them. It was all about Viktor’s desperate need to be in control, about his refusal to confront suffering, pain, and all the messy, complicated parts of being human. From the very beginning, it was about Viktor going, “well, the end justifies the means”, but there’s nothing kind or humanistic about that philosophy, because it always comes at the expense of people’s lives. The end never justifies the means.
Nope, you are definitely wrong. Victor indeed has wished to make the lives of the people better with "hextech" , was even more outspoken, that he did not wish to create weapons and I guess that this commune is literally, how he envishioned it. There is corruption...but it is the arcane at work here. And maybe even in Jayce case.
There can be a conversation to be had, if the people are already dead or are still alive...but what is undoubtly true...The whole commune is dependant on Victor.
People can be both...Yes, Victor wanted to stay alive, but he is not a control-freak...And surely not a guy, who thinks that the "the end justifies the means". I mean, isn´t it funny, that the solution Victor is conviced of, plays in the hands of the arcane, which obviously has a will of its own?
It is literally right there...that the arcane heavily influenced and manipulated Victor, and most likely also Jayce.
The end never justifies the means.
That is an oversimplification. There are cases, where the end literally justifies the means.
And honestly, I was surprised to see how many people were mad at Jayce for blasting Viktor at the end of that episode. In my opinion, by then, it was quite clear that Viktor didn’t care much about his Arcane-modified toys. He wasn’t even pretending he did. Salo wasn’t a person to him. None of them were. They were just tools, stepping stones for his glorious evolution. And all of that was right there in the first scene of ep6.
Oh, that is interesting. Did suddenly "the end justify the means" or becomes murder a great deed, if the right character is killed?
In contrast, Victor tried to be responsible for his commune and tried to protect them, literally dying. I am sorry, but I am not sure, why you suddenly jump to such conclusions?
I still feel like we were ROBBED of that whole arc, watching Viktor descend to this. Because he gives a shit about Vander, so it's not like he's totally unempathetic--like he's still Viktor. It's just that from the start of the commune up to this point, Viktor has been going through a slow descent into madness from not having a single actual person to talk to who isn't completely bound to him in some way. There is nobody to question him and everyone is relying on him constantly.
@straysparks Yes, the influence of the arcane gets stronger.
Viktor is deeply empathetic but also vulnerable to megalomania, and having a whole group of people worship you for months on end is gonna get to your head eventually even if you really really really hate the idea. Which I think we can be pretty certain he does at first, unless you subscribe to the idea that the Hexcore is really majorly influential to his personality change.
Both, but why should this not be the case? The arcane has a will of its own and can be vicious if challenged. Victor was literally drowned in it and hears a voice the moment he wakes up...Of course, he is being changed/manipulated to a certain degree. When Ekko literally broke the armour, Victor woke up and realized, what he had done...This moment of "waking up" does not make much sense, if the arcane has not played a major role in the corruption process.
Because people being wrong are rarely persuaded by violence alone.
I think his disconnection from his empathy is driven by a need to get away from the closeness of the commune members. He's an extremely private person and he gets virtually no space or time to himself for months on end. Seeing the commune members as cogs in a machine is a coping strategy and I must stress that there is NO ONE to check him on this.
Or he already knows deep down , that they are already dead? He does care for them, but I mean, he is literally not Jesus, has hardly any personal attachment to them. In fact, Victor had always difficulties in that area.
Hexcore influence is convenient to the narrative, but Viktor's character is set up in such a way that his behavior here isn't even out of character given a particular series of events which we KNOW happen, we just don't see them on screen. It's ooc if you assume Viktor doesn't change between the times we see him on screen, but that's the thing, he DOES.
The hexcore influence is not just convenient, it literally explains so much...Look here:1,2
I saw the light after reading those posts. Nope, Victor does not suddenly become mad or cold for no reason, he literally is partly mind-controlled.
Viktor’s commune always gave off creepy vibes, but for me, the path it was taking became crystal clear at the start of ep6. That first scene basically spells out the extent of Viktor’s corruption and how far his actions and mindset are from any kind of altruism.
Think about it: Viktor sees Jayce kill Salo through Salo’s eyes. He’s connected to Salo but doesn’t even try to comfort him, verbally or mentally, or ease his pain with magic in his final moments. He just stands there, watching. Waiting for Salo to die, staring at Jayce. The only time he flinches is when Jayce lunges forward, and Salo dies abruptly — his vision cuts to black.
And look at Viktor's face when it happens. That’s not horror. That’s not astonishment. That’s not grief. It’s… mild annoyance, I'd say?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, ugh. Jayce didn’t get it. He didn’t appreciate my work. And now he’s also destroyed one of my puppets. Sounds pretty frustrating, doesn't it, Viktor?
Then Sky says, “poor Salo”, and Viktor? Immediately pivots to, “That’s not Jayce. It’s another will at work within him”. And a moment later, he’s fascinated by the Anomaly. Salo’s gone, and no one spares him an extra thought.

They were just tools, stepping stones for his glorious evolution.
And all of that was right there in the first scene of ep6.

Got any advice for writing Ren?
OOOOOOO yeah i got a lil bit!
Ren is one of those more difficult characters to keep a grasp on due to his spontaneous yet grounded personality. Ren is also special because he has MULTIPLE different interpretations. BTD1, BTD2, TPOF, and YKMET, though we don't know much about that one yet. I find by remembering my little 'character rules' he's easy to play in any of the aforementioned settings.
Also, ALL OF THIS should be taken with a grain of salt as I'm only a fanfic writer/roleplayer online and don't know how Gato herself would write the character.
First rule I follow is to remember that Ren is desperate. The moment he's determined to do something, he becomes desperate to finish it. The moment he's decided he wants something, he becomes desperate to get it. The moment he falls in love with something, he becomes desperate to keep it. This really only applies to things he REALLY cares about. He has to REALLY care about it.
Second rule is to remember that Ren never got to manage his emotions. He's emotional. He's quick to anger, to sadness, to happiness. He works like a sword made of markers; One movement too hard and he'll fall apart.
Third rule is to remember that Ren is starving for things to go his way. He's manipulative. This isn't always intentional, he just hates hearing the word 'no' and despises any kind of pushback. It's been coded into his nature to snake under peoples better judgement to get what he wants after being denied for so long. Even before Strade he was pushed down and silenced, so now it's almost triggering to be on the sidelines.
Forth rule to remember is that Ren is obsessive. His friends are HIS friends. His shows are HIS shows. His food is HIS food. You are not allowed to challenge these ideas without him getting irked. If you talk about another friend you have, he'd be delighted to meet them! But if you talk about them too much, he'd begin to resent them. How good can they really be, right? Not better than him. He's a GOOD friend...
Fifth rule for Ren. He is very proud. He's proud of himself on a subconscious level! He's proud of his cooking, his abilities, his media knowledge, his hair/fur, and especially of his species. Which rolls into the final rule!!!
Rule six, arguably the most important one (in terms of playing post-Strade Ren)... Ren is a fox beast-kin. He is not human. He works differently on a fundamental level than humans do, the largest concern being his diet. He fits in, he makes friends, he engages in society, but in the sort of way that farmers engage with their cattle. He can eat and consume any part of you he needs to. He reads you as delicious. His language and tendencies will be different than a normal persons, like his habit of nesting instead of sleeping in a bed, or even marking territory. He WILL be argumentative, and quite frankly hurt, if any of his animalistic-behaviors are mocked or frowned upon. He is not human, and he wants you to know that.
There are differences in personality when it comes to WHICH Ren you're playing. BTD1 is very reserved because he has to be. He's quiet, obedient, and bites his temper a lot, but do remember he still has one. Despite the daily-terror, Ren finds it hard to hate or love Strade, as he's constantly dished with praise, pets, love, cuts, bruises, and violation, in some sick healthy diet of intimacy.
BTD2 Ren is overly-confident and proud of himself. He feels like a hidden super-villain! He feels like... Strade. A normal guy doing normal things in the normal world, but look out, he's ACTUALLY a big scary-spooky man you should be afraid of! But not so much you don't love him! When in reality he's... ahead of himself and in his own head. He struggles to come to terms with what's happened to him. He's both so happy Strade is gone and also feels not helping him was the worst decision of his life.
TPOF Ren, or Fox, is back to being reserved- but in the way that you should be scared. He's under no ones thumb in this timeframe and still keeps the same temper he's always had. He carries himself with a menacing poise because he knows his emotions are expensive, like the rest of him. The slightest furrow of his brow can indicate a world of consequences for whoever it was aimed at. Despite his appearance, his obsessive nature fails him, keeping him stuck in a mental cycle of correcting and forgetting the past, two contradicting items that slowly tear him apart. He is disgusted by his past and pleased that he has gotten so far away from it, yet can't shake his quiet adoration of German accents.
I hope this??? Helped???? Somehow??? I'm sorry for the yapping novel and also if it's messy, I hardly read it back cause I have a lil bit of a headache

my null playlist is finished yayayayay
(warning for loud and glitchy sounds through most of these songs. it's NULL what did you except lol)
yapping about my song choices/reasonings for way too long under the cut
ok as a preamble a lot of my song choices here are for the interpretation that NULL is a real person trapped inside the game, which for some reason seems to be a controversial take for some people from what I've seen, so I feel the need to explain why I think that (also i'm just using this as an excuse to infodump lol). skip this next paragraph for the song reasonings if you dgaf
so basically i've seen a lot of people being like "UM well NULL licherally says he ISN'T a person trapped in a game, so of course he isn't, duhhhh 🤓" which. I don't wanna be too harsh considering how much of this game's fanbase is literal children but characters are in fact capable of being untruthful. the way I see it the fact that NULL randomly says apropo of nothing "oh nooo I'm TOTALLY not a real person trapped in a game haha, that'd be RIDICULOUS lol" (suspiciouslyspecificdenial tvtropes dot com) immediately followed by explaining that he "can't talk normally" and has to be "vague intentionally" because "some stuff is classified" combined with other hints he gives of his speech being censored by the game in later dialogue makes it clear that he obviously can't directly say what he is. the fact that he's using reverse psychology to get around the game's censorship seems pretty clear to me. (there's also the specific word choice of him calling the idea of being trapped inside a game "ridiculous" when he also describes himself as "ridiculous" earlier in his monologue but that's a bit of a stretch lol). The lake image clearly showing NULL standing by a lake in the real world is another obvious hint to NULL originally being a real person as well. his pain is neverending LOLLLLLLL (this isn't shitting on ppl who have different interpretations of NULL obviously!!! in his own words he's "vague intentionally". this is just my thoughtz :3)
ANYWAY onto da music YAY
UZUMAKI - Machine Girl -
very erratic/glitchy sound obviously. also themes of cycles, feeling trapped in negative spirals, hopelessness.
hand crushed by a mallet (N0THANKY0U remix) - 100 gecs -
any version of this song probably would have worked but I chose the N0THANKY0U remix for the compressed sound which seemed the most fitting. the themes of grief could tie into NULL's longing for his old life but I mainly chose it for these lyrics which are very NULLcore methinks
"I don't want you to think I got bad intentions/Never wanted you inside, you made it your mission, yeah/Didn't wanna hurt no one/But you just went and made it fun"
"I'll never go, I'll haunt your studio/You won't think of words when you write at all/You'll just hear me singing this song/You'll think that's okay, you'll just sing along"
i love this song ^_^
Final Transmission (The Living Tombstone remix) - Temporal Walker & [voodoopony] -
more glitchy electronic sound, as well as the lyrics being about a man getting in over his head and stranded away from his old life. regret as he realizes he's beyond the point of no return. maybe being trapped inside videos game is just like suffocating to death in space.
maybe he knew something that we didn't/staring at the mirror with a different kind of vision
Couture - Epsyle -
he's stuck on this fucking planet. he's stuck on this god damn earth. not much else to say for this one
The Mind Electric - Miracle Musical -
maybe a cliche choice for a character playlist but idc :P picked the distorted version for obvious reasons.
this pick is mainly about the power the game (?) holds over NULL (the whole censorship thing i mentioned in the preamble and the mentions of things being "classified" and "not being allowed" to do certain things in his dialogue) and the impact this must have on his mental state.
Child Protective Services Theme Song and Action Winter Journey - Nero's Day at Disneyland -
lumping these two together because both lack lyrics for me to go over. both have a very erratic, almost desperate feel to me. as the glitching which goes without saying at this point
BTSTU - Jai Paul -
WATER IMAGERY 🎉 also feelings of angry determination and of feeling lost
Cabinet Man - Lemon Demon -
i fully admit this one is a stretch buuut it's Guy Trapped In Video Game. I kinda had to lol
computer vision - sunsetcorp -
a gentle nostalgic sound is quickly cut short by dizzying electronic noise. the imagery is obvious i think
TIME STAND STILL - sunsetcorp -
feeling trapped in time. forced to stay in one place and reflect on the past endlessly by being trapped in an outdated game (I'm looking back) and being unable to progress forward and make meaningful change by destroying it and escaping (but I want to look around)
angel - sunsetcorp -
the death imagery appearing at the end of the playlist. The end of NULL style is approaching. more feelings of being trapped in the past.
END OF LIFE ENTERTAINMENT SCENARIO #1 - sunsetcorp-
the death imagery is even more blatant now. the past is looping in on itself. Escape is impossible now.
NULL tries in vain to calm himself to stop the worst from happening. One, two, three, four...
cemetary 4 - osno1 -
Tumblr media
It's too late.

It must be said that as much as I love the Laila, Cat, and Jeremy, and as refreshing as their horror and concern for Jean's wellbeing is, they are not great with boundaries in a way that is very different from the Foxes. Like sure, they are supportive and want to allow him to create rules for himself, but they also don't stop asking about things when he tells them to? The Foxes are notoriously nosy, but they also don't get angry when someone says they won't answer questions. There are multiple instance in The Sunshine Court when Jean says "stop asking" or "I will not talk about this" and has to repeat himself multiple times or plead with them to let it go. I feel like everyone is so happy to see an outsider perspective where a well-adjusted person is like "wow the things that have happened to my fellow character are messed up" but that doesn't seem like a fair interpretation when it leads to them stepping on his boundaries? I don't know, a lot of the scenes I'm talking about are high tension, like after Jean hit Laila, so it's understandable, and they really do care about him. But let's not act like insisting on talking about someone's problems on your own terms is a healthy response, just because the person needs to talk about their issues.

First of all, you're talking about a very specific political critique, while most of the actual criticism has nothing to do with that.
Personally, I know very little about American politics, so I’ve never criticized the show on that basis. The show has its own internal city politics, which were established in the official game lore. I know the official lore, which is why my expectations for this aspect were completely different. This has nothing to do with the real world.
Secondly, my main criticism is about the writing. Arcane didn’t win its writing award.
Here’s what I’m criticizing: the characters have forgotten their own motivations from Season 1. Viktor’s arc is a blatant retcon—his motivation was death, not disease. The show always tackled social issues and inequality, but in Season 2, those themes were erased. The dialogue was drastically reduced. The creators chose the "show through animation, don’t tell" approach, but you can’t use it in every situation—otherwise, we’re just left staring at Caitlyn’s microexpressions. Vi’s dialogue was cut by 60% compared to Season 1. That’s not how good storytelling works.
Is it because of the episode count? No, because Season 1 managed it just fine. Instead, the writers crammed in too many music video sequences, which anyone can interpret however they want, and which often fail to convey the characters' thoughts and relationships.
The pacing is breakneck, making serious decisions feel unearned—especially Viktor’s, which change every five seconds. He becomes a god and loses faith in his vision all in one day.
Jinx’s "revolution" basically didn’t happen.
Pacifist Viktor suddenly decides to team up with Ambessa and considers it the right choice. And Ambessa, a brilliant warrior and strategist (as established in Act 1), agrees to a highly questionable alliance with someone she can't control.
The weapons conflict between Viktor and Jayce, which was a major theme in Season 1, is completely dropped. Why? Because Jayce fell into a pit and broke his leg. As if that somehow helps him understand Viktor, who lived with a disease, was dying from it, and was part of the lower class that no one cared about.
The core dynamics of the show—family relationships and social inequality—shifted to a Marvel-style formula with lots of action and a big bad villain.
See? It’s not about real-world politics. It’s about how it was written.
Moving away from writing: Viktor’s original lore was far more complex and morally engaging. He was never purely evil or just a victim of magical manipulation. Turning him into an "evil god" is an incredibly dull choice. Of course, you might not know this if you haven’t read the original lore.
Caitlyn poisoning the city? Completely brushed aside.
We have two "women in freezer"—Sky and Isha. This is one of the worst, most lazy, and disgusting writing choices. Cheap, especially for Sky, who was already treated this way in Season 1.
Viktor’s time loop raises countless unanswered questions.
Episode 207 is pure fanfiction, eating up screen time for the sake of the Time Bomb ship. It serves no narrative purpose. We don’t even see how Ekko talked Jinx out of suicide. Why? Because it happens off-screen. And ask yourself—why is it off-screen? Because the writers had no actual dialogue for that moment.
Now the most interesting part. I watched the leaks. Dialogues were rewritten and cut at the last moment! This means the writing was incredibly raw. They were re-recording lines just months before release. Sevika’s lines were cut from the final episodes.
And while I can accept Act 1 with all its flaws, Act 3 is a disaster.
As a standalone Marvel-style show? Maybe 8/10. But as Arcane’s second season—compared to Season 1’s writing, storytelling, themes, and character arcs—it’s really bad.
I feel sorry that so many of you aren’t trying to analyze these issues. That you think slowing the show down and staring at the characters’ facial expressions is the right way to understand their shifting motivations. I feel sorry that you don’t see the obvious difference between Season 1 and Season 2. But it’s there. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be so much criticism. And that criticism has nothing to do with real-world politics.
The first season never received this much criticism and for good reason. It was simply better written.
People don't understand that we criticize s2 because we genuinely love s1 and we were disappointed. basically what speaks to us is the grief of losing potential or “what could it be…” it's not the same as being a hater

I was checking the Teruteru tag, scavenging for some new fanart, as one does with such hated characters. When I found YOU, The Supreme Overlord Of The Danganronpa Fanfom, talking about my chef!!!???? Whhhhaaaaaaatttt?????
Tumblr media
And also, I just wanted to add something to the Teruteru discussion. I am not saying that the things he does and says are ok, but I also don’t think we should just rewrite Teruteru’s bad actions out of his character, I think we need to understand WHY he acts like that, and then think about character development! I’ve been working on a thorough character analysis, and something that I realized about him is that he is really insecure, (the fact that he is from the countryside, for example). And that’s part of the reason why he acts like that in game. His crude comments both serve as a way to call attention to him (when he thinks his own personality isn’t enough) AND as a way to push people away when they get to close, because he doesn’t want them to know who he truly is!!
aw, shucks. i'm no Supreme Overlord! just a bear. (but i SHOULD be Supreme Overlord.)
i can definitely see that interpretation of Teruteru and i'd love to read your character analysis when you're done!

// CRK SPOILERS
My thoughts on BY ep 8. What I think about Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk.
Spoilers: I don't ship them, and I kinda doubt I will after witnessing their story. So uh yeah, shippers you've been warned ig. 😶
⚠️ TW / CW // There will be discussions of abusive dynamics in relation to the story (Beast Yeast Episode 7-8). ⚠️
God I LOVE Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla's dynamic. But it's honestly why I'll never ship them together. Their stories are so heavily intertwined and woven together quite well. But it's a story where Shadow Milk attempts to break and destroy whatever agency Pure Vanilla has.
I loved episode 8 so much because it's a story about breaking the cycle of pain and misery and finding the strength to move on and be happier.
Shadow Milk's so broken, so desperate to find someone, ANYONE, who could understand. So much so he's willing to force, breakdown, manipulate and hurt the only person who can truly understand just so that they'll never leave him. He's been alone for so long, having no one who knows the true extent of what he's experienced. Of what he's gone through.
He's desperate for a connection. A shoulder to lean on. A friend.
And yet, he can't show any form of compassion or empathy to the one who can understand him. So much so that he's willing to kill innocent children if it means that Pure Vanilla would finally give up and break, ensuring that he stays by his side for eternity.
But he can't accept the truth of the situation at hand. He can't accept that the soul jam will never align with him again. That it rejects him.
Pure Vanilla, even though he completely understands where Shadow Milk comes from, rejects his ideals and philosophy, choosing instead to embrace all of who he (PV) is. All his flaws and imperfections. All the mistakes and hardships he's ever come across. Pure Vanilla chose kindness and compassion overall, wanting to help Shadow Milk understand everything as well.
But Shadow Milk, even though he's so desperate for someone to stay by him, is enraged that Pure Vanilla dare defy him. He refuses to accept the truth laid before him. He rejects his offer of friendship because maybe, just maybe, his own circle of friends have drifted far apart it's a wonder if they even still consider themselves as friends.
(I know the producers said that the beasts are friends in a way, but I mean it in a sense that there's something disingenuine that lingers with them. They're no longer the same as they once were).
This isn't love, it's an obsession of being unable to let go of something because of how hurt you are, you begin to hurt others around you that only want to help.
Pure Vanilla was able to overcome his pain (or is on the journey of healing), and Shadow Milk wasn't (rejecting the offer of help because he must've been afraid. The fact he despises the thought of kindness- being kind to others or when it's offered to him- is highly telling).
Their story is beautiful, and I genuinely love these characters.
Maybe it's because I'm on the aroace spectrum, but I genuinely could not see the whole "I'm yours" scene as romantic. Not after witnessing Gingerbrave, Strawberry and Wizard almost die.
And yes, I am aware Pure Vanilla was saying stuff like that to trick Shadow Milk into lowering his guard, but honestly, when I saw that scene I interpreted it as the appease/fawn response.
Fawn refers to the body’s stress response to try to please someone to avoid conflict, where one actively attempts to descalate a situation by playing into what the person in power wants.
Honesty, my heart broke when I heard Pure Vanilla say those words, and this was where my first thoughts ran to. I genuinely felt like crying when I heard Pure Vanilla's screams of agony and Shadow Milk laughing at his face (their korean voice actor is AMAZING btw).
But then again, like I said, maybe I'm interpreting the situation differently because I struggle to pick up on romantic cues. I could be wrong about this part though.
Anyway, those are my thoughts about what I think of them. I'm so happy that Pure Vanilla is getting the spotlight he deserves.
But I'm also pissed because the heck you mean he kicked Dark Cacao out of the arena meta?!? 😭😭😭😭😭😭

OK so I have thoughts and feelings and a LOTTA them. Here's my list [which is arbitrary and could change tomorrow in all honesty]
1. Percy.
Taliesin put so much love and attention into this character, that it made Caleb & Nott feel cheap to me for a WHILE. Taliesin literally told Sam how guns were constructed in rather extreme detail meanwhile Sam barely used basic chemistry knowledge & Liam was only using the Keen Mind feat instead of taking notes. I had to sit to myself and remind myself that these people each have their own strengths and weaknesses and research clearly wasn't either of those [which probably why I couldn't get into their characters but oh well].
While I'm not on the "Critical Role has to follow writing techniques" train due to the fact I'm into this because it's an unconventional story. But. Percys arc is ridiculously satisfying. I know he was supposed to die, but the entirety of VM being him learning how to cope with [&live with] the grief of his family and all the mistakes he has made. I've never felt prouder in a fictional character than when he talked to his wife instead of calling in on a Devil's deal and selling his soul again. Breaking his cycle. And then the subsequent "i think I wanted to be a clockmaker once" and him choosing a healthy pathway forward!!! It's so rewarding after we see this man break himself into so many pieces continuously, just to find the point he initially broke. He learns that maybe that doesn't matter.
And then there's the actual personality of Percy. That man is a perfect depiction of darkness and pompousness. Able to take the mick of himself sometimes, and able to communicate. Having the rare issue where it wasn't trust issues with other people, but trust issues with himself. He trusted the people around him so much, and had so many lighthearted moments with seemingly no hint of darkness. And it made his Moments hit harder.
2. Mollymauk/Kingsley
Grouping these 2 together as joint 2nd because I view these 2 as intrinsically linked. I can't bring up why I like Molly without mentioning Lucien/Kingsley, and vice versa. I love the analysis of what makes a distinct soul, I love how open the interpretation of what Kingsley IS is. Is he just the rememnants of a severely traumatised & scrappy Mollymauk after spending too much time as the neosomnovum? Is he a different fragment of Luciens soul? Is he a mixture of different parts of Lucien and Molly? Is it fair to say that as Molly IS a part of Lucien?
And the book, oh gods the book. So many things Tal just randomly blurted out that were wrapped in so well. I will never get over Brevyn's kiss to the forehead. "Long may he reign" being a song the tombtakers sang. "Empty" being repeated due to Lucien's worst fear being puppetted just like his brother.
There is not a week i don't spend contemplating what would've happened if we kept Molly. If something would've happened with the Hag, how Vess Derogna would've acted (if we even met her), how he would've impacted the direction the M9 went, or how he would've reacted to the forced amnesia on Rumblecusp, and the subsequent Thing With The Moonweaver at Traveler Con.
And Kingsley, oh how I want Kingsley to be explored more. His 2 episodes in the specials were GREAT. How he is the guy to Get Shit Done, and how he's so button-pushy. I will never forgive the cast [/lh] for pushing him to the side so much. Having him be the only one not mentioned in the BH finale and only talked about above-table to seemingly reduce what Ashton had just been through. It feels like Tal has to force other characters to bring him up outside of "yeah we tried to bring out dead friend back and It Got Weird."
And they don't have the excuse of him being the pirate king either, cause Veth made it canon that Kingsley helped gather Luc when he ran away up north. He is contactable. Im fairly sure Jester said she was in contact with him [like she is with literally everyone I love that girl so much].
Anyway, also love him being a rogue. Go, buddy, get that self confidence.
And also I personally relate to the way identity was talked about during both eras by both of these characters during different parts of my life.
3. Asha
Honestly would be further up but we did not get enough screentime with her to justify that. There are sooooo many ways to interpret this 1 version of the Wildmother and it has kept me thinking for days about the nature of Nature and change and possibility.
She has convinced me to play a druid for my first campaign, a changeling druid who grapples her identity to the nature around her by covering herself with thorns and brambles. All inspired by how Asha only seems to show 2 strong negative emotions besides hunger. Guilt, for the pain her discovery has brought to her family. And anger at her wife for leaving her to face this mission with a substitute. These emotions are what ultimately anchor her to her mortality.
Nature never really feels guilt for the hunt, or anger at the prey. And yet, to us those emotions are perfectly natural. So in this case, where does the domain of Nature stop? Melora/Asha is the goddess of the Wild, so it's probably safe to assume natural human emotions don't come under her purview. But in the grander scheme, are we natural? As human beings? Are the buildings we roost in natural, as they are made from the dirt and mud that are processes made possible from what we had in Nature? Is being a God with Nature as your domain also make you a God of progress and potential?
And isn't that an incredibly interesting concept.
4. Ashton.
Would've been higher than Asha, if he had had a better finale. It felt like he had narrative progress, with people coming to save him as he died, but he came out without much of a change in mindset since The Shard. He literally martyred himself, intending to die for good and no one really bothered to emotionally check in on that afterwards. If he has finished with his martyr complex, I don't think its done through actual help, it feels like it was done because he's realised that his friends will fight through thick and thin to bring him back. But that doesn't mean anything for someone's mental health in a world like this. It could make people feel trapped, or could make them too reckless with the "I'll be fine my friends will get me if I die." Like No?????
And i love his parallels with Laudna, even outside of his probing. They are both stunted beings, perpetually childish. Laudna because she never got the chance to grow up, being ostracised since before the Briarwoods came up and ruined everything [and then Delilah wouldve purposefully kept it that way for Manipulation Purposes]. Ashton because he never really got to be a child. Laudna coped with her loneliness by making a shit ton of dolls. Ashton had never had a doll until Laudna gave him one. And neither of them really get the community they deserve within the group.
I think the best example of this with Laudna is Swordgate. Marisha said on 4sd that Laudna was upset about Orym using the sword anyway, and then Delilah got into her head. I was also immediately off put by Orym using the sword due to the fact it had killed so many of the Bells Hells and had literally sent Laudna to her own personal hell for an indetermined amount of time for her. A sword does not have to be possessed to be Evil. But it was the fact that noone responded to her actual, valid reasons it was all pretty much the message of "you can't be trusted, this is all Delilahs machinations" like WHAT. Which, mini tangent here, i feel like is why I also prefer VM to BH because it seems like BH had so many completely impossible moral quandries that they seemed to completely dismiss the complexities of their own friends situations after 1 conversation. I feel like they should've had a few more [and I mean only like 2] sessions that was just BH getting to be a mercenary group because for like 100 flat episodes they were Not A Mercenary Group. Maybe getting to explore Marquet a lil more.
Anyway, tangent over. I just think its sad Laudna got dismissed due to her being manipulated and Ashton often got dismissed because of his brash attitude and low Charisma. Before the Solsitice he was continuously getting drunk and even said he'd started shouting at seemingly nothing and no one bothered to explore it. Besides Laudna. Anyway.
Love the concept that Being Broken isn't a wrong thing to say. Most of the time it's all like "oh no don't say that!!! You're wonderful!" But no this guy is just fundamentally and mechanically broken. They are someone who's had to be reformed so many times that some pieces just don't fit anymore, and there's nothing to replace them. And maybe you don't have to be a rock guy who was literally shattered to have that. I personally relate in all those times that I failed tests as a gifted kid that, upon reforming myself afterwards, I lost the piece of me that cared about working. Later, being shattered as I'm told by my college that I'm flagged for undiagnosed ASD and need 25% extra time and loosing that part of me that felt I could trust adults to understand me. But it's not always bad. I felt part of me break away when me and my friends turned 18, and we went out and I realised I didn't have to treat my friends like glass physically. That i could hold them and hug them and they will reciprocate.
And I think where the term "broken" comes into play is when you actively start to grieve those parts. In BH we watch Ashton mourn the ability to trust. Idk. I hope we see more of him in future.
5. Caduceus.
Look, I love Cad, I just also love every other Tal character I've seen. And Cad just narratively and as a complex character comes up that little bit short to me. I love watching his clips. But the rants I did about the others' themes and how they get me to think? I don't get that with Cad so much. I get him, honestly I do. I love him repping the aroaces in that wonderful gossipy way. I love how he only ever silently panics and won't call attention to himself [I only realised how much of myself I saw in him in that moment when they stole a ship and I was like "...oh."]. I love how he canonically did drugs just to try and connect with what felt like a dying connection between him and his God [again something that wasn't really touched on but Holy Shit]. I love how he only apologised for being weak when he asked his Goddess whether his family was OK. He does have depth. Depth that never seems to be taken much deeper than surface level with the Nein and I can honestly only hope that Cad and Kingsley are treating each other well cause they really both need somebody on the outside to Talk To.
I don't actually Know the other 2. So this is it:)

So, I know I usually post about bingqiu/bingyuan cus that's just where the brainrot is at for the most part, but bear with me as I veer into Shang Qinghua territory.
Recently I saw a post along the lines of "SQH is babified by the fandom and is in actuality more ruthless/badass etc." and it really got me thinking about how I think about SQH.
I do agree that the fandom, to an extent, babifies him, but in general I'd say that's expected for a character such as him. In my own interpretation of the novel I don't think it would be wrong to call him a coward (who commits ruthless actions as a result of that selfish self preservation), but as I considered this I realised that neither is calling SQH a coward the whole truth. Because, SQH was a coward, but by the end of the extras arguably no longer is.
The Airplane extras are in essence telling the story of how SQH grows out of his cowardice and learns how to stand up for both what he believes in (for example protecting MBJ) and for himself (telling MBJ off for how he's been treated, realising that he really likes the world he created and its inhabitants). This conclusion shouldn't be that hard to reach, but the reason I hadn't before is:
I thought of Shang Qinghua as a static character. But he isn't. Shang Qinghua devolopes, and in doing so becomes a fully fledged character. He both is a coward and isn't, because it depends on when in the story you are talking about.

Clover Rants Miraculosly: Changed My Mind (Now Change Yours Too)
*Comes out of shadowed hallway, takes out conspiracy hat, and puts it on*
The real reason MLB is so insistent on its whole "Episodes can be watched individually"/Continuity being "fluid" thing is because it makes it more convenient to change lore or retcon stuff when they receive too much criticism over a story choice or want to force a plotpoint despite it conflicting too much with the current story flow, relying heavily on the fact that it's core audience is 1)Still developing memory retention and 2)too deep into binge culture to even consider rewatching episodes and therefore willing to take TA and Co at their word when the former goes on twitter and claims "Actually, it was always like that - you just weren't paying attention". It's like that one kid on the playground who keeps changing the game rules every time it looks like they're going to lose.
It's why you have everyone claiming Chloe was a bad hero during her condemnation arc despite prior eps not only showing her being competent, but also holding her own against an adult holder with no backup; It's why you have Marinette's goofy fangirl freakouts in the earlier seasons now being portrayed as a trauma response, despite there being no hints at anything close to this interpretation and several scenes between her and other characters who should have triggered this not doing so; it's why Lila is now suddenly this master of disguise with multiple IDs and an entire spy network at her beck and call, even though there was no setup for it; It's why Sabrina and Andre's bullying and corruption respectively are being made out to be them getting forced into it at Chloe's behest, even though they were shown to be willingly (and sometimes gleefully) choosing to do those actions even without her prompting them. It's why the lore/magic rules regarding the Kwami, Miraculous, and Amoks keep changing every ten seconds whenever they either need them nerfed or want to brush off criticism of the bad implications in their lore *Stares at "Werepapas" and "Representation"*.
It's why Adrien was suddenly unable to stand up to Gabriel despite us having multiple episodes of him not only defying him, but also funding ways to circumvent his rules/orders. All these retcons and lore rewrites are basically being done in service of being able to change the direction of the plot effortless without putting any effort into the "How" and "Why" or worrying things will match up.
*Takes off Conspiracy hat and disappears back into the shadows*

Ryan Guzman's interview with Jeff Conway came out today, and I have a few thoughts, so I'm writing them down here. If you are interested reading the article yourself (which I think you should because it was a very good article and there many moments in which I did not talk about here), this is the link.
First and foremost I would like to reiterate that this is a good, well thought out article from both Conway's questions and Guzman's answers. And I think there were many responses that show the love that Ryan has for Eddie, and the work he puts in to make his portrayal of Eddie so impactful.
And as always, I take each article that comes out with a giant heaping of salt, as they can't talk about things before the actual episode airs.
Now I'm going to talk about specific quotes, the first of which is this one.
Tumblr media
A few of my mutuals over on bluesky were freaking out about this quote, thinking that this meant that Ryan was either thinking of leaving the show or starting to wind down his involvement, but that is not how I interpreted this. Along with many other of his quotes from this article, it's clear that Ryan is just a live in the moment kind of person, and this is a very live in the moment kind of answer. He's simply saying that he is proud of the work he's done with Eddie, and still feels honored to play him, but if the world decided that Eddie's character has come to a close, he is proud of what he has done.
So no, he doesn't currently have plans on leaving the show.
Tumblr media
This excerpt really confirms that Eddie's storyline will be big in the second half of the season. Which I have to say, thank fucking god. The fact that this article is the one they are pushing before the spring premiere is only further proof of this, but this quote really solidified it for me.
The biggest change of all is of course the fact that Eddie will be leaving for Texas in the beginning of the season. From his language and demeanor from the first half of the season, this is a necessity as going to Texas and being able to work on his and Chris' relationship one-on-one is crucial for that. So going to Texas in some capacity was necessary.
Now the decision to fully move to Texas is not going to go over smoothly. Not to mention that that in itself is a big change, but can bring other changes along with it.
Now we get to where Conway asked about the possibilities of Buddie, and how Ryan feels about it. To which (to no one's surprise) he gave a very vague answer that I can see being read in a few different ways.
Tumblr media
Firstly, he is kinda saying what he has before about how Buck and Eddie's relationship as is, them being a bisexual man and a straight man respectively, is important as it shows how two men of different sexualities can still have a close bond without there being any weirdness about it. Which is true, especially, like he said, with the current political climate.
Secondly, I think his wording here, especially when he clarifies having friends who are homosexual and not bisexual, is sort of leading. On the one hand, he is further saying that he draws from his own experience of interacting and loving them, which he then applies to Eddie with his relationship with Buck. On the other hand, he could be drawing from his friend's experiences a bit when doing a gay Eddie storyline. And I think the specification could further emphasize Eddie's sexuality, as I personally headcanon him to be gay and not bisexual. But this leads further into speculation.
Overall, what I got from this is that Ryan wants to put focus on the relationship that him and Buck have, and not lead audiences into thinking that there could be more. This doesn't outright confirm or deny anything, and from my interpretation, leads me to think that he does not agree with the shipbaiting that is currently happening. Which fair, I too do not enjoy ship baiting for the purposes of promotion.
And lastly, I'm going to talk about this quote.
Tumblr media
Which is something that I think Eddie desperately needs to hear. He is constantly unsure of himself, and needs to trust himself more.
I think that him saying that everything inside of him is innately who he is, and that is more than enough, can be leading as that phrasing is something that us in the queer community use when describing ourselves. But this is also true for Eddie's character as we know now as well. He needs to trust and believe himself, and that the decisions he makes are ones that he should be proud of.
Overall, like I said above, this article is very good and if you like to read the interviews released about this show, you should go give it a read. Considering that this came about before the show aired, I wasn't expecting it to confirm anything, but I am also glad it didn't outright deny anything either.
I think that there are some lines here that will come into clarity as the show airs and more interviews come out. But overall, I love Eddie as a character and am glad that the show has decided to use him in the build-up for promotion as the show comes back. And I can't wait to see where his storyline goes.

Actually, I kinda wanted to elaborate on this and it's a more personal rant because I'm not the headcanon police, which is why it's in a reblog and why I've blurred out the person's username and pfp. Like you could probably find them, but I don't want you to because I don't really care what people headcanon.
This has just been stuck in my brain for a bit now and I wanna talk about it since it adds to my post.
Tumblr media
Like gee I wonder why I the woman who hugs her partner out of her own accord and genuinely smiles and looks happy in his arms is with him out of genuine feeling. And the woman who is almost always passively receiving her partner's affection and smiling the most awkward smile might not be super into this.

There is nothing wrong with headcanoning Kuvira as a lesbian. But I'd actually argue that there are some similarities between Opal and Kuvira, and how their relationships are presented. Like they both presumably started their relationships around the same time, and have never kissed on the lips on screen. And in both cases the guy feels so much more into it.
Tumblr media
I mean, I've said this in the post above, but Kuvira very obviously loved Baatar, be it familial, platonic, or most likely, romantic. While she keeps her emotions under wraps most of the time, she clearly looks distressed when making the decision to sacrifice him.
Tumblr media
Kuvira is a character who struggles with emotional expression, obviously, and doesn't like to seem vulnerable. So we need to observe her closely in the show Also she's more vulnerable in the comics, and she has no reason to lie to him here.

And ok, the ✨️vibes✨️ is a term that comes up a lot in headcanoning, and I get it, and I've probably used it at some point. But I do feel like vibes can also just heavily base around certain stigmas and stereotypes.
Like why is the mean, callous, stereotypically 'strong' and often interpreted as masculine fascist absolutely a lesbian? But the sweet, more girly and soft girl is definetly not a lesbian?
Like what exactly are the ✨️vibes✨️ that we're talking about here?
No actually I find it so weird that people are so insistent that Kuvira simply has to be a lesbian and she never loved Baatar Jr. Like I also am a sapphic Kuvira believer, and you don't have to like Baavira but what is the obsession with Kuvira being a lesbian specifically.
Argumets about Kuvira never truly caring for Baatar ring kinda hollow because he honestly seems like the only person she actually did care for. Oh she tried to kill him? That doesn't really mean she didn't love him. She just valued her empire over him, which is very in line with Kuvira's characterisation thus far.
Honestly it's not that she didn't love him she's just a shitty person.

tips for writing Lawrence? I really admire your writing.
IUKJ,MSEDNGBLKJGLESJLSDERG FIRSTLY THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I'M LITERALLY SO STRUCK??? MY WRITING???? ADMIRABLE???? I FEEL LIKE MY TEETH ARE GONNA FALL OUT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
*fixes suit and tie* anyway
reminder that i am not gato and these are all my interpretations. the best part about fandom communities is that each mind thinks so alike yet independently, and the way you write a character won't be exactly the way another person does and that's your own personal magic touch.
Just like Ren, Lawrence has certain rules I like to stay attached to. The problem with HIM though is he's such a wild card it's hard to know when these rules apply.
Rule one is to remember Lawrence is isolated. He's used to being on his own and doing things on his own so he doesn't expect or even reach out for help. The idea of another human being kind or helpful for no reason is foreign, if not unrealistic to him.
Rule two is to remember that Lawrence has a very, very specific routine he lives by every week, rarely with interruptions. He's a homebody. He likes things his way and can't have them any other way. It's irritating and gives him a very strange sense of urgency when they're not. This is dangerous because that urgency can very quickly become aggression, as can a lot of things.
Rule three is to remember Lawrence is human. He's pretentious as fuck and speaks so poetically of death, wants to die so very badly, has done incredibly terrible things to people in the name of art, mentally separates himself from the public, believes he's better off locked up somewhere, yet reacts as any other person does to very many things. He says he wants to die, yet cries when his life is threatened or he's scared. He's certain he hates people and people hate him, yet yearns for the company of others who understand him and partakes in communities, even if just online. He says he's better off inside, yet left his house to meet a friend 2 weeks into talking online. He's a 'terrible person,' yet only takes MC home because he didn't want to leave them out there all alone. He's more human than he realizes.
Rule four is to remember he's proficient in gaslighting. Lawrence doesn't think the way other people do! Everything and anything can have meaning, and it's usually what he wants to see. He can make up anything on the fly if it protects him from guilt, fault, sorrow, anxiety, whatever it is he needs to be shielded from. He's quite the brat, so challenging him on any of his interpretations makes him irrationally bothered and he may not even speak to you anymore afterwards. He also uses this mental-protection to keep his world view in order, like in the situation in BTD2 when Ren leaves and he takes it out on you. It was REN who insisted you hangout a while, it was REN who left on a whim- but to Lawrence, you being there at all was the problem and it's all your fault.
Rule five is to keep the image of creepy in mind! Lawrence embodies the type of person you wouldn't want to be caught alone in an elevator with. He just radiates 'bad person' vibes, and his smell and quietness of his voice doesn't help.
And finally, rule six is to remember that Lawrence is a wild card. How he behaves depends on pretty much every single individual circumstance in whatever situation he's in. If he's uncomfortable he could be irritable, if the room has more than 2 other people in it he could be feeling intimidated, if he's meeting with a friend online he could be hesitant and scared, if something scary happens big or small it could launch him into a panic, anxiety, or aggressive attack, if someone's talking and their mouth sounds too wet it could make him hurt himself, if he's bored but nothing seems entertaining enough it could force him to dissociate, he could like this taste or feeling one day and absolutely hate it the next, his opinions on specific people change like the static on TV...
I like to think of Lawrence like an alligator, as they're opportunistic feeders and usually don't attack without provocation. Problem is with Law, you don't really know how you provoked him half the time. He's such an interesting, confusing character that I'm not even sure how to write it down in a way that makes sense. It all really depends on how YOU want to write him.
AGAIN, I'm not sure I helped??? this one is. a lot worse than rens imo. BUT I DID MY BEST AND AGAIN THANK U SM FOR LIKING MY WRITING HEEHEEHEHUEHENRKJDFGNDFLKJGGF

My interpretation of Jon regarding the Not! Sasha situation is that, on some level, he knew the entire time something had happened, but he purposefully looked away from it because didn't want to face the truth.
While it's said in canon that Jon trusts Sasha more than Tim and Martin and that's why he's willing to give her more passes, it's also worth noting that Jon's bar of trust is in hell. He says that he can't trust anyone multiple times, and the quote "I may not entirely trust my assistants but I won’t lose them," comes from a time frame where Jon is under the impression that Sasha is alive. By his own admission he doesn't entirely trust her, and yet he's willing to overlook things he'd try to exorcise Tim and Martin for.
And I don't think that's because Jon just randomly swings between being overly trusting and overly paranoid. Rather, I think he knew something had happened when Sasha came back without the tape recorder. Because think about it: Jon's character could be summed up by his thirst for knowledge. Yet, when Sasha tells him that information about Prentiss's attack was lost...he just accepts it. He doesn't question it. He doesn't look for the lost tapes. He doesn't even keep an eye on her.
Overall it seems like he acts really out of character, and I think that's because he is. For the first time in the series he doesn't WANT to see something. He doesn't want to know if something happened to Sasha in the evidence room, because if it did, it means he might have lost one of his assistants. And it's as Jon says himself: He won't lose them. Even if that means turning a blind eye.
So, yeah, I think Jon's attitude in Season 2 of "Sasha threw a knife at me today. I'm sure it's just because she's practicing her aim" was out of subconscious denial of the truth instead of blind trust. Especially because it would be consistent with one other knowledge Jon turns away from...which is Gerry's page. He burns it because he cares for the people around him more than knowledge itself when push comes to shove. And unfortunately in his case that's a great motivator of ignoring a monster.
