🤔 You guys sometimes really make me think about things I don't often have to think about LOL. I'm just gonna do the gang this time so off the top of my head:

Izm and .D are often eating sushi in my drawings and since I'm pretty sure Izm is mainly the one buying, sushi is his fave. He'll eat any type but he prefers the raw fish ones.

Whilst .D also likes sushi, it's not his fave dish. His fave dish is pasta in a red sauce (like Sugo or Arrabiata) for some reason. Nostalgia maybe?

Zeke is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so, a nice juicy sirloin with mushroom sauce and a side of roast potatoes and veggies. (BP!Zeke is similar but he really likes pork/bacon particularly, so a pork roast for him probably).

Wei Ren's comfort foods are chicken congee, and seafood steamboat/hot pot.

Marcus' fave is his mom's chicken casserole.

Hm, that's a good question! I think, for doodling purposes, my fave is Rire mainly because Rire always looks more or less completed in black and white. My other two faves are .D and Izm - .D is a good exercise in subtle expressions whereas Izm is the complete opposite (esp with BP!Izm with that mouth).

Yes. I mean, I'd prefer you be at least 15 for those two things only cos if i had to age rate them they could be considered M or MA15+.

The rest of society is pretty standard so yes there are charlatans in the world of BP lol. HOWEVER, no one would pretend to be a BP for three distinct reasons:

You need to be sanctioned to be a BP (ie they have abilities that normal people do not, like being able to perform exorcisms.)

There is no profit to be had as BPs generally don't get paid (all their living expenses are generally covered by their religion's HQ).

It's dangerous work. You'd have better luck being a bank robber.

Desmond is def a club music kind of guy XD EDMs, techno, trance, hardstyle, house, whatever - the kind of stuff you jump energetically up and down to at a club/concert/rave, he'll listen to it.

Not yet for BP (soon...🙏🏻). HH wasn't really a comic series so much as a bunch of somewhat random one shots I did for fun lol.

I don't put my pronouns anywhere partly because it is lowkey amusing for me to see how people perceive me online. It doesn't really matter to me, so go with your best guess lol.

You would be surprised at how much time those two hobbies can take up outside of work |D; I also like doing puzzle games (like Quordle etc), coding, going for walks/bike riding, making slightly odd food combos in normal recipes and freaking out my friends on Discord with them, and watching horror/disaster films and playthroughs of horror games.

Maybe one day I would, but not at this particular time, sorry!

Thanks for asking as this is a bit of a grey type area! Personally, I think that as long as this is purely for your own use and you aren't going to on-sell it in any way...then it should be ok. I'm going to categorise something like this as somewhat similar to say...people printing out my art to stick to their wall type thing. Of course, if you ended up buying a bunch and then thought oh i have so many extra I'll sell them to whoever wants them - that would be a no no.

In what capacity lol if there's something I've learned from real life it's never agree or disagree to anything without knowing specifics. Eg if you would like to use my art as a PFP on tumblr then you can if you credit it, but if you want to use my art as a face claim for your own charac then i would have to say no, etc.

That makes two of us as i am not familiar with the twisted wonderland universe :P

I haven't given up on HH, i just dont draw it nearly as much since i'm focussing on developing BP :) Anyway HH wasn't seriously planned to be a comic or anything (though technically...it does have a very loose storyline that I've alluded to in some drawings |D ) so it's something I can just jump back into and doodle whenever i feel like.

It's pretty straightforward HH is a slice of life 'verse where my main characs are in an all boy's boarding school and Rire is the headmaster. It focuses on the boys shenanigans though so if you specifically like Rire you will be disappointed as he's barely in it.

Hey I hope you don't mind, but I had a question. I'm a trans/queer diaspora Jew who has considered making Aliyah. In your experience, how is it to be genderqueer in a county where the language is very gendered? Like if I wanted to be referred to in a masculine way, but appear feminine would that cause a lot of pushback? I know here in the US it depends a lot on where you are, and I'd imagine that may be true over there as well but I also don't want to assume. I also know there's been some attempts at creating gender neutral language in Hebrew, but am unsure as to how widespread the usage of that is.

So it depends where you're going and how familiar people are with you.

For example, I don't bother correcting random strangers who I'm only meeting for the first time, because it's too bothersome to explain it every single time.

I have a friend who uses "plural masculine" pronouns (a sort of literal translation of they/them, very confusing for people to understand how to use if it's their first time), and they tell me how for most people it takes a minimum of a week to get the hang of it, and it's usually like a month before someone truly wraps their brain around it. So they settle on people just being respectful of their identity and doing their best, even if they get misgendered almost daily. Outside of that specific friend, I have multiple others who use plural masculine, but no idea how they go about it outside of queer circles. I had a similar experience to my friend when I used plural masculine as well.

I don't know about pushback, per se, because I personally didn't experience that much pushback from people who weren't family, but I'm sure that's not the global experience. In my experience people are more confused when you tell them than upset, and they're pretty curious why and how it works, and they're willing to try. Some of them don't, and I can think of one specific person out of like 100 people in my previous workplace who actively refused to use my pronouns, everyone else did their best even if they didn't always get it. When I started working there I still used plural masculine, and I had coworkers of plenty of backgrounds - secular, frum, Ashkenazi, Mizrahi, it was pretty diverse there. And I couldn't point at a specific group and tell you "they respect me more/less". Only a few specific people ever actually gave me trouble for my gender identity and they were pretty easy to avoid altogether. One time I had a fight about genderqueerness with a guy who used my pronouns for the entire half hour he called my gender a mental illness 🤷

Also, people usually don't care what pronouns you use for yourself. I tend to default to masculine pronouns on the phone because people assume from my voice I'm a woman, and it makes almost everyone confused and rarely does anyone ask about it XD they usually just keep replying to me with feminine pronouns.

All in all I would say my experience is pretty positive when it comes to respect, but I can get misgendered a lot on days I prefer masculine pronouns over feminine, and I learnt to live with that. I recommend asking more trans Israelis because my experience is almost exclusively about being queer in the central area of Israel, which is just more well known as a queer friendly area. I especially recommend asking trans people who have experience with putting their foot down more about their pronouns because I truly don't care about misgendering if it comes from a person who treats me and my gender identity with respect.

I just found your blog and I am absolutely enamored by all these designs! I did have a quick question though

I'd love to one day visit Japan, and I love the idea of attending a festival in a rented yukata. However, I'm concerned about if I could wear one or not due to the sleeves. I'm disabled and get around using forearm crutches, and have difficulty fitting larger sleeves in them.

I guess I was just curious about if either the sleeves could easily be pulled back to my elbows, or if maybe there are yukata with shorter sleeves (I've never seen them myself at least.)

As for your question, there is a fantastic way to accomodate your crutches: tasuki 襷 sleeves holders. Those are cord used for holding up sleeves out of the way (when doing chores, physical/messy activity, etc).

You can see below how tasuki are tied: basically think of an ∞ with the crossing on your back and the loop up front gathering up sleeves on your sides:

Depending on your mobility, you can pre-knot the cord beforehand then slip it around your body.

The "right" way of doing it is this one:

I am not sure how your mobility is so I'll also add other options to mix and match in order to nicely enjoy summer festivals in kimono attire:

Happi 法被 (festival coat): if you don't feel confortable strolling all day/night in yukata (the tighness of around your legs might be cumbersome), wearing a coat like those over your "normal" clothes is a good option to still be in festival mood :) Some are sleeveless, some have tube sleeves, and if not pair them with tasuki sleeves holder and you'll be good to go!

Nibushiki kimono 二部式着物 / nibushiki yukata 二部式浴衣 (two parts kimono/yukata): exactly what it says on the lid, those are kimono/yukata tailored in two parts, a skirt and a top one. Those might be harder to find in rentals, but have the convenience of being super easy to put on while being less prone to unraveling :) The two parts are also gentler on the figure as you can more easily adapt tighness etc. If you're are able to shop for a yukata beforehand, altering is pretty easy: chop in two, add ties and you're ready to get dressed ;)

Tsuke obi 作り帯 (two parts belt): in the same spirit as above, those are pre-tied obi belt, with a wrap-around part and a knot part. They are super common for children, but also exist for adult. Altering a pre owned obi is also super easy, see for example this past note (for nagoya obi styled taiko knot).

Yukata can be worn with hanhaba obi (half width belt), heko obi (soft belt), or kaku obi ("men" belt). Heko obi would be my recommendation as those are unisex, comfortable, and suuuuper easy to tie.

If you want to try hanhaba or kaku, I'd advise for karuta musubi, a flat, sturdy, and unisex knot pretty easy to tie.

You loved your brothers. You really did. Percy was always protective and the comical relief you needed sometimes and Nico was sweet and protective of you too, but he was less controlling than Percy.

You sometimes found it funny how they were always fighting over you. Percy was really your brother but you considered Nico as your brother too. The son of Hades became attached to you the moment you, Percy, Annabeth and Thalia found him with Bianca at that school. His protectiveness only increased after his sister's death.

You loved them deeply. You would be willing to die and kill for them and you knew the feeling was mutual. But sometimes.... They were a little too much to deal with and you liked having a moment alone, something that since your arrival at Camp Half-Blood had become almost impossible.

You remembered your first day at Camp Half-Blood. Percy was excited to show you everything, from Thalia's Pine Tree to the Big House. Percy sighed, clearly relieved. "We understand, but next time, give a little more notice, okay? We almost set up a search of the entire camp."

Nico, who had remained silent, finally spoke up, ''We know you need time for yourself, but you're important to us too. We want to make sure you're safe.'' There was an intensity in his voice that showed how seriously he took his responsibility to protect you and you knew that this responsibility, this protection came from a pain that he would always keep within himself.

You nodded, understanding their concern, ''I know, and I appreciate that. I promise I'll let you know better next time.''

As if there will be a next time.

That night, instead of going out for another training session, the three of you decided to spend time together, just talking and laughing. Percy told funny stories about his first days at Camp Half-Blood, while Nico, a little more reserved, shared some memories of his childhood with Bianca.

You loved them and you knew it. But they tended to become increasingly overprotective when you decided to leave without warning. They hated it when you did that. Were you that naive? The camp might be safe but they didn't trust the other demigods and gods. Nico and Percy that night, after you fell asleep, made an oath to each other.

You wouldn't go out alone anymore. And they would be sure that you would obey that. It's not like you really have a choice.

Chapter Thirty - I Was Going To Tell You

Bella and I struggled with our relationship over the next few weeks, at school our old group and the remaining Cullens - Edward, Jasper and Alice - had merged, so we all sat together, it was strange, and I kind of hated it, but I got on with it, not wanting to sit alone. I liked sitting with the usual gang, not so much the vampires. Though, Jasper and I usually had decent conversation, sometimes I'd forget he was a vampire. 

Bella seemed happier having both groups together, and despite the anger I felt for my sister currently, I liked that she was happy. 

I walked into the cafeteria, seeing Jasper, Alice and Mike already at the table, I wandered over. Mike greeted me first, showing me that usual goofy smile he would always give. Alice smiled up at me too, while Jasper gave me a small nod of acknowledgment. The dynamics of the group were so different now, with the Cullen's return. There was a certain uneasiness in the air, a subtle tension that had never been there before. 

"Hey Mike" I say as I sit next to him. He grinned back at me, his cheery demeanor present as always. 

"Hey there" He says. "You're looking really pretty today"

I had wanted to roll my eyes, maybe take the mick, but I didn't. I was used to Mike comments by now, I knew he didn't mean anything by them, he was just being nice. 

"Oh, thank you" I answer, looking around the large room, hoping the others would join us soon. I noticed both Jasper and Alice looking at me too, it made me feel a little awkward, no one was talking, what was with these vampires, they had no social cues. I huffed a little loudly and decided to try and start a conversation. 

"Jasper, have you done that social studies essay yet?" I ask him, Jasper and I were able to hold a conversation, and it was usually about school, or other topics that involved knowledge. I didn't mind it, it was nice talking to someone who knew about things. 

Jasper blinked a few times, my question obviously jolting him out of his slight preoccupation. He nodded, answering me in his usual quiet manner. 

"Oh yeah, I completed it last night, actually"

"Oh" I say quietly, I was hoping he was struggling on it, like I had been. But of course not, these vampires were perfect at literally everything. 

"What part of it are you struggling with?" He asks, I raise my eyebrow slightly, he couldn't read my mind, right? That was would be crazy... 

"Starting it" I answer, laughing a little, a nervous laugh which made me feel like blushing red. Jasper chuckled a bit, not a noise I had heard much, his shoulders relaxed slightly. Before he could say anything more, I noticed Bella walking over with Edward, they both joined us, Bella sat by me, which made me feel a little less stressed, a feeling of calm washed over me for a moment, I let out a deep breath and relaxed into my chair. 

"Hey Bels" I say to my sister, my eyes bright and hopeful, I hated being in a rocky place with her, I wanted nothing more to go back to normal.

"How are you?" She asks me, I could tell she was feeling just as awkward as me. 

"I'm great" I answer a little dryly. "I hate that we have finals soon, I can't spend as much time with Paul as I'd like" 

"Finals are a drag" She responds. 

"Can't wait until they're over" I mutter. "Though I have no clue what I'll be doing after school ends"

Bella nodded, agreeing with me, her expression turned thoughtful. I watched her for a moment as her eyes quickly flickered over to the three vampires and then back to me. Like she was hiding something. I cocked my head slightly. 

"Bella, are you keeping something from me?" 

She blinked a few times, her eyes widening, clearly I had caught her off guard. 

"What makes you say that?" She asks, her tone was different, I knew when Bella was lying to me, and currently, she was lying at me. I wanted to snap, and yell, she knew that I knew. And yet, she continued to lie to me. 

"You're acting weird, I know you well enough to know you're keeping something from me" I say, my tone quieter, I had only wanted Bella to hear me, and of course the vampires would, but I didn't care about them currently. Her expression shifted, a mix of surprise and something else. I watched as she fidgeted a little in her seat, suddenly she looked very uneasy. 

"It's complicated" She mumbles. 

"Come with me" I mutter, grabbing her arm, I pull her up from her seat and pulled her out from the cafeteria. She didn't try and fight back and allowed me to pull her into an empty part of the hallway.

"Tell me" I ordered. 

"Okay, fine....But I don't know how you're going to react to this"

"Tell. Me." I say through gritted teeth. All these secrets, I hated them, and sure I was partly to blame, I had been secretive about the wolves, but at least my secrets wouldn't have me killed. 

Bella hesitated, taking a deep breath, her eyes were glued to the floor. She fidgeted nervously, clearly struggling  with what she was about to say. Finally, she spoke, her voice soft and quiet.

"I... I'm going to become a vampire"

I don't say anything for a moment, thinking maybe I had heard her wrong, but I hadn't. 

"You're fucking what?"

Bella winced at my reaction before replying quietly. "I... I know, it's shocking. But it's true, I'm going to be a vampire"

"Jesus fucking christ" I curse again. "And when exactly is this happening?"

"It's...After graduation" 

"That's only a few weeks away! And when were you planning to tell me? Your twins?!" I almost yell, I didn't want to bring the attention to us, but I also wanted to yell. Bella winced again, she was clearly guilty, though she wasn't meeting my gaze. 

"I don't know, I was going to tell you"

"I can't believe you...I...I can't even look at you right now. Fuck this. I'm...fuck this" I mutter as I turn away, I start walking heading in the direction of the exit. 

"Can't we talk about this?" Bella calls from behind me. 

"No, we can't, but you've already made your decision, you don't need to talk to me, go talk to that fucking vampire you love" I snap, turning back to face her.

"Please, I still care about you. You're my twin, my family. I can't just..."

"I can't...not right now" I snap, turning away once more, I take to a sprint, not caring about the receptionist yelling that school was still in sessions as I left the school, finding my car and driving away.

Summary: I do love me a little whimsical AU, I can't lie - so this MAY go into the realms of silly, but you know what? It's going to be fun! It also may be a bit all over the place... but you know what I think it fits XD The scenario is kinda the same for all of them - I hope that's okay!

Gale

Out of everyone, Gale would probably be the most at-ease with you coming from another realm - he finds it absolutely fascinating.

He's asking questions all the time - is there magic in your universe? No?? What do you do, then??

You tell him about technology, and he is hooked. You start talking about electricity and immediately he's taking notes (mental or physical).

"I think I might actually have something you can try, Gale" you pull out of your pack a can of Coke (that somehow had survived the trip), and a tin of cranberry sauce that you had hoped to take home, before being whisked away to the land of Faerun. You offer him the can, and he just stares at it for a moment, observing it.

"And... what is this, exactly?" "It's a drink." "I fail to see how-" click "... Ah"

Isn't sure how the bubbles feel on his tongue - he almost spits out the drink the first mouthful he has. Doesn't mind the taste itself though - he would probably drink it flat, if he had the choice to.

"It's... Nice..." He seems mildly uncertain of this statement. "Though, I think I will stick to wine, and water..."

You telling him you can preserve food in metal near indefinitely? Pure 'teach me' moment. He will want to know EVERY secret on that front.

The tin of sauce confuses him. You tell him that it's sauce and he's eager to taste it - he's always on the look out for new flavours, as the self-declared cook in camp. Fish and potatoes can only keep you going for so long, until your tongue starts craving a new flavour.

When you present the unchanging... thing to him, he has no idea what to make of it. "That's... Not sauce. In fact, I don't even think that's edible - that looks like a health hazard."

He straight up refuses to use it that night, like he will not go near it, nor will he let it near the food.

Halsin

Halsin doesn't really talk about you being from another realm all that much - it doesn't overly concern him, now that you've got his trust.

He likes hearing stories of your life -even though you have to explain 90% of what you talk about to him, he's always eagerly listening to whatever you have to say.

Will not touch anything in a can - drink or otherwise.

"I... Do not feel right in trying this... my apologies."

You will not be able to convince him, whatever you try and do, he just... Doesn't want to listen to anything about that. If you keep trying to push him on the subject, he'll probably end up just walking away.

Though he's aware that preserving foods is probably a good idea for the long run, but after having heard the fizz from the can of coke? That's... A no go, for the time being.

Astarion

Astarion couldn't care less where you came from - so long as you're not going to stab him in the back, he's fine with you. You could be a crawling claw for all he cares - so long as you don't hurt him he really does not care.

Astarion doesn't typically eat anything other than his usual sanguine meals now that his affliction is out in the camp. This doesn't stop him from making snide comments on the food, though. And he makes especially snide comments when it comes to drinks - which he still partakes in quite happily.

"What do you mean... Fizzy?" His lips draw up slightly in a half-sneer, not being particularly drawn to the idea of... Whatever it was you were offering him. Though, he supposed, because it was you... He'd give it a go.

He manages to keep the beverage in his mouth after a sip, but the face he makes is beyond a grimace - clearly, he was not expecting that many bubbles.

Now when it came to the tinned sauce - or any tinned food for that matter... He'll simply laugh. "Now, I know we're short on supplies, darling, but... I don't think you'll get anyone to eat that." "Let me put it this way... If something like that was for my meal, I'd be running for the hills! ... And probably washing my mouth out with soap..."

"I am so glad I do not have to pretend I'm eating with you... Because that-" He points emphatically to the can-shaped food. "Would not, and will not, be going anywhere near my lips!"

Wyll

Wyll is curious about the realm you come from, but doesn't normally pry. He figures that, if you're going to reveal anything about your home land, you'll do it in your own time, when you're comfortable. Wyll actually LIKES carbonated beverages. He savours the feel on his tongue - it's like nothing else he's ever had before, and he's instantly wanting more. If you ever do figure out the realm-hopping thing, you'll have to bring him some more - possibly some different brands or flavours for him to try.

"So... These beverages... They can... Taste of flowers, and other delightful things?" Wyll hums pleasantly at this thought. "Well, I know we have... Similar things, here in Faerun, but I am most intrigued on your realms' flavours... As pleasant as it all can be, you can only handle so much of the same..."

Though canned food doesn't.... Really seem appealing to him, he'll still give it a good try! He's down to try any food at least once.

He's not keen on the appearance of the cranberry sauce, but he has some with some turkey you've roasted, and he's in love with the taste. Sure, the appearance could use some work, but beggars can't always be choosers - at least it tasted delicious!

Absolutely LOVES tinned vegetables. He's not sure why - he knows they've got a very different taste and texture to their fresher counterpart, but... There's just something about them that he can't get enough of. Tinned carrots especially.

If you give him the chance - and Gale for once isn't trying to make dinner - Wyll will try and find a way to include tinned foods. He will get everyone to like them, he's certain of it.

Karlach

Karlach LOVES hearing anything and everything about your home realm - from the mundane to the even mundane-r. You have a special tub to bathe in, not made from wood? And it has running water, like a river, that you can control?? That's one of the coolest things Karlach has heard of - and she longs for a way to try and bring that kind of plumbing to Faerun.

Karlach isn't fussed on the Coke can you offer her - she'll drink it, for sure, but if there's the option of another drink, then she'll probably opt for that first. Purely for the reason that it's a relatively new sensation compared to the other kinds of fizzy found in drinks across Faerun.

Like, fermentation has a kick, but in comparison, carbonation is a roar, that Karlach needs a little adjusting to - she has the best reaction out of the lot of them, I think.

"Whoo- that's... Hah, that's something, soldier... And how often do you drink this? Once a day? ... Several? Several cans of this a day?" She laughs quietly, shaking her head. "You're braver than me at some things, soldier."

However, when it comes to tinned food... She loves it. She's not even sure why - perhaps it's just the fact that she loves food. You show her the sauce first, and she doesn't even bat an eye at the fact that the sauce had retained the shape of the can. She sniffs at it, before just picking it up and taking a bite.

"A little sharp... But not bad!" Another bite. "You're meant to eat that with meat, Karlach," "Huh? .... Ah, well - still tastes good like this!"

She's not as fond of tinned veggies, but she'll still eat them. Normally dinner will now start with. "Aw, what? Don't we have anymore of that red stuff?"

Silly, that last ask of mine wasn't something big, just me yapping about Vee's and Dandy's relationship because their interaction is so underrated I actually wanna cry. Aand, I was thinking about the way Sprout found out about Vee's ability to eat, and actually got something in mind. It was something ordinary, but a little bit too sudden for the both of them. Like, imagine Sprout casually going to check up on Vee or ask some stuff, just to open the door and find the girl curled in the corner, quietly munching whatever chocolate bar Veronica had brought for her. Sprout was shocked, as well as Vee herself, because she wasn't expecting a visitor, lol. At first, Sprout would ask absolutely dumbass questions like "WHAT?? YOU can EAT??" Like he didn't just saw it himself. But then Vee would shamefully ask him to lock the door so she could tell him about her situation. They would sit in that corner for an hour, and in the end Vee would say something like "just please, don't tell anybody, let this be our secret?" Because she's too scared that Delilah is going to find out and have a reallyyy long "conversation" with her. And Sprout, as the sweetest, caring bun he is, would absolutely promise her to keep this between them. More over, he will sneak her food, just like you said. Honestly though, you're pretty on point. He'd be just minding his own business and one day just, walk on in because he's giving her something or returning something from her after a gameshow (they've always been buddies, they have permission to waltz into the other's room whenever as long as the door isn't locked - Shelly was the same exact way with them as well) and he just finds her there, munching away.

Yeah sure he'd be shocked and confused, but hey, that's his bestie, and if his lesbian best friend needs to eat SHE IS EATING GOD DAMMIT! He is still VERY overprotective of his friends, just... A lot less overbearing about it. If he's caught- "oh don't worry, it's for Veronica, Veri gets hungry sometimes!" He'd say, and she would just agree, because Veronica is a queen and a girl boss and we love her

In the end I think the only two toons that would genuinely know about it are Shelly (that's her wife, Shelly knows more about Vee than Vee knows Vee tbh) and Sprout. Cosmo would be suspicious, though I doubt anyone would blame him for it, as suddenly there's now food going to Vee's room too, but I don't think he'd know fully until after Shanon lets him come over and she's like "I love those cookies you used to make!" and he's like "Thanks Vee- WAIT WHAT?!"

In the end, the survivors of the ichor will all know about it, and I'm sure the handlers would know about it too, but through nugget theft and curious Vee shenanigans. Oh she'd absolutely go insane for Waffle Sundays... There's a reason Vee always gets zoomies after waffles (she loves them too much for her own good)

Just wondering: Where did you read any of the GOTG/Rocket comics? I've looked for a while and can't find a reliable site to read them for the life of me xD

hey babe! this is a great, fair question.

honestly, as an artist and as someone with an ever-decreasing trust re: companies honoring digital licenses, i like print media for my favorite comics. i have most of the modern rocket, rocket & groot, and groot arcs in print.

i care much less about most gotg comics at large lol, so i have been more creative in my consumption of them. some ideas below (and maybe others will see this and add their own!) ♡ i am US-based so these may or may not be options in your location.

i was very lucky in 2023-2024. my partner had a free one-year subscription to marvel unlimited, so i consumed a vast amount of gotg comic content then. i don't love a lot of gotg comics (i'm a cretin, i know; a lot of the human characters are boring to me) so i read a lot at that time when it was free lol. things may have changed but marvel unlimited at the time was not a super-intuitive app (it might have been better from a web browser?), and there is a three-month lag from the comics hitting the shelves to be available in-app, but i didn't care about that too much at the time since i was mostly reading older stuff. marvel unlimited is $10/month i think. it looks like there is currently a free trial period you can access with a Disney+ account (not sure how long that lasts), and a code for 50% off for two months.

comixology through amazon is $6/month i think, and there's a 30-day free trial. if you're interested in going that route, i'd recommend lining up all the stuff you want to read in a list before you even sign up, and then consuming as much as you can before you cancel. you read through the kindle app, and some comics are available through kindle unlimited, too. if you've got money to spend and you enjoy electronic copies, you can also straight-up buy most of the comics through kindle. i haven't done a comparison on e-price vs print-price, so you'd probably want to double-check that.

finally, we also have a used bookstore near by with a decent tradebacks section, and we usually stop in about once a month. there was a pretty decent hardback version of rocket raccoon 1: a chasing tale (2014, skottie young) there two weeks ago, and it's actually where i got my copy of groot (2015, loveness & kesinger) about a year ago. i think i got it for like a quarter of the new-print price, and it was in really good condition. all the pages were nice and there was a little grime on the hardcover that i was able to get off (carefully) with some dish soap and a damp cloth. i've also gotten a couple gotg arcs there for cheap.

of course, all this relies on having at least some expendable income (unless you're gonna just truck through your whole library on that 30-day trial from comixology, which i fully support). i have not looked into this recently BUT if you have access to a local library, a lot of times they do have tradebacks/comics and will get what you want with an interlibrary loan if they don’t have it on hand. in most places you can coordinate the whole thing entirely online (even accessing the media digitally, sometimes).

beyond that, there really isn't (to my knowledge) a good way to access the comics for free, which i have complex feelings about.

i just spilled cherry juice on my favourite shirt. it's a thrifted old navy classic, white with a pattern of tiny lizards all over.

however, i can't tell whether the lizards are green or grey, because i have a rare but mild kind of colourblindness. it's slightly harder to distinguish between low-saturation, low-value, close-range hues. blue's a bit less intense, red a bit more. it's the second rarest kind according to "Statistics," whoever that is. kinda cool, right? it can make so slight a difference that nobody ever notices, though, so it's probably underdetected. nothing special.

but like, i definitely had that moment, like in the movies, you know, where i pointed at something all like, "i want the green one," and they gave me a weird look, paused like they were waiting for something, and then realised i wasn't, like, joking, and asked if i meant the blue one, and i realised they weren't joking, either.

actually, whether "green" and "blue" are different colours, or just shades of the same colour, really comes down to cutural perception. you know what i mean, though.

Fantastic for me, since he's probably my favorite from the people still alive! :D

Aidan: Lots of people have been trying to ignore it. I don’t think it’s working for any of them." Fair. Though I should probably point out that the people who were thinking about it the most are mostly dead (see: Kennedy, Grace, Vivi), and I'm not sure what that says about Aidan's conclusions. I mean, he's still right, it's just that I don't think there are many "good" ways to handle this whole thing.

Ellis: Huh. I guess it makes sense if you don’t like it when people get along.

Aidan: Getting along isn’t the issue. It’s that, when too many people are together, they’ll usually start coming to conclusions that they wouldn’t all believe individually. Though, for someone who didn't seem to care much about anything just a little bit ago, it's quite interesting that he has so many thoughts on the way people reach conclusions.

There's nothing they really have to forgive him for, since they weren't really affected by it besides maybe Ellis lacking tact on occasion.

"I step into the Storage Room, trying to make a modest amount of noise so that Mark can tell someone is coming." Nice Ellis is always lovely to see :)

"Mark: I didn’t want to come back here.

Ellis: To the Resort…? Or…

Mark: Down here. I… last fourth motive was here, too, I think.

Ellis: …They can’t even come up with fresh material in between seasons?

Mark: It wasn’t the same fourth motive. Just, it was still here." Huh. Pretty interesting stuff there. I doubt there's much significance beyond "yeah the showrunners have limited ways to do motives", but it's cool to know. Though, I guess it could be noteworthy if the fourth trial last time was of particular significance, so it's worth keeping in mind. Also love how Ellis' first comment is about the absurdity of repeated motives instead of anything more serious. Seems their avoidant tendencies aren't fully gone, which makes perfect sense.

"Mark: I like talking to you. I just don’t want you to feel like you have to. You’re not stuck in here, so you shouldn’t be stuck in the Storage Room, either.

Ellis: …I can stay until lunch." These two's friendship is so wholesome and awesome and lovely. I sure do hope nothing bad happens to Mark! I sure hope venus isn't smiling slyly reading that!

"Instead of going to the Buffet again, I decide to mix up my options and try out the Cafe for lunch. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one with that idea, as I spot Taylor eating inside." Taylor's also been having a good amount of focus this chapter! I hope that doesn't mean bad things for them!

Taylor: …Hi, Paris." Speaking of development. Taylor sure does seem really hesitant around Paris these days, huh?

"Ellis: They said they were doing okay, but… I’m kinda worried that they weren’t telling the whole truth. This motive is no joke, you know.

Paris: Oh, really? We’ll probably be due for another Trial in, like, a week then, right?

Taylor: Or, we could try to do something about it…

Paris: I mean, I guess. There’s not much of a point to that, though." Bruh. Aside from the fact I'm happy Ellis is being more truthful nowadays, Paris is so ready for people to die that it's impressive. You know, at this point she may be too suspicious for mastermind purposes, but without any other candidates I find particularly plausible, I'm just gonna take this as more potential evidence for Paris!mm anyways!

"Ellis: The more people are left, the more skillsets we have to use in a potential escape.

Paris looks between us, then mutters under her breath.

Paris: …Didn’t we all want to win…?" Ooh, mask off, huh? Maybe she isn't the mastermind after all! Though I wouldn't rule her out just on that line obviously lol. That said, at this point I doubt anyone would doubt that Paris wanted to win. Hell, given my track record of suspecting her every trial, I should probably be more schocked she hasn't made a move yet, huh?

"Ellis: I dunno. I was thinking about it, and, if the news broke out that you were linked to an incident in which fifteen people died, couldn’t that be bad for your reputation…?

Paris: I’m sure all my followers would understand it wasn’t my fault. 

Taylor: Even if you’re not, like, the mastermind, it doesn’t make you completely faultless…

Paris: Whatever. They’d just be happy I made it out to grace all of their screens again~

Ellis: Right, their screens. Those things that they could watch any potential leaked footage of this killing game on.

Paris looks right at me. Even though it doesn’t look like it, her gaze feels pretty intense. I do not like this.

Paris: Well then, I’m glad that we’ll all be happy to put this behind us~ Besides, I’m sure the Resort wouldn’t want to do anything to harm their winner’s reputation." Geez. Paris is weirdly defensive of how good a deal she'd be getting if she wins, huh? At this point I have to wonder if it's genuine because she's a participant who wants to win, or if she's a mastermind who's upset the others are seeing less and less appeal in murder, or both! A mastermind who is purposefully a participant with no advantages over the rest, who wants to win for the audience and no other reason, could be interesting to see.

"Ellis: Well, they must care a little bit, if Monoquin’s offered us some kind of prize. Paris, I bet you could really use whatever they have to offer, right?

[Nighttime Monologue] As usual, these are great. It's cool to see the killing game catching up to Ellis all at once now that she's actually invested in how it goes, despite how hard she's trying to remain positive. Which, admittedly, isn't all that much actually lol.

"Harper: …I suppose Noah won’t be present today." Oof, pour one out for my guy.

"Paris: But it’s like, one day forever, right?

Paris: I asked Monoquin the other day. He told me people can totes get selected multiple times~" Oh yeah, you "asked Monoquin", huh? You didn't just know, I take it. At this point it feels like Paris might be a red herring with how suspicious she's being xD

"Mark: She, uh… didn’t have the same idea. 

Ellis: So then… she tried to kill you?

Mark manages a smile, though there’s clearly no happiness behind it.

Mark: I wish." Ahh... Yikes.

"Ellis: Wait, I don’t get it. She didn’t think the game was going to go on forever, but she also didn’t try to kill you? Did she die trying to escape or something?" Come on, Ellis. I guess it makes sense that it'd never cross her mind that someone would commit suicide for someone else, at least not immediately, though.

"I almost can’t believe it. Mark really knew someone who, so close to the end, gave it all up just so that Mark could win? So that he could have a chance of escape? It’s dumb. Couldn’t she see the look in their eyes? Couldn’t she tell that he was thinking the same kind of thing? Both of them, apparently, would have died for each other. Doesn’t that make it clear that Mark would have rather lived with her than lived through this?

…Why does Mark even think I’m worth their time?" Ouch. Just... there's not much else I can say about that one. Just ouch.

"Mark: If I’d known that was her plan, I’d have tried to beat her to it. But, here I am. 

Mark hugs one of their legs.

Mark: Like I said, I didn’t deserve it either." aaaaAAAAH-

"Yeah, right. There’s a huge difference between a tribute to a god and the reapings of a devil. Mark got here by being so wonderful that another wonderful person was willing to give up her life for him. I got here through callous apathy and a random miracle I didn’t deserve." Man, remember when Mark and Ellis' conversations were all fluff and happy friendship? Yeah. I miss Mark's FTEs :(

"Ellis: Look, I respect your need to get all of this out, and I know it must’ve been extra traumatizing to have to remember it in bits and pieces. Ellis is pretty decent at speeches and comfort when he wants to be, at least!

Mark: It’s not like it’d do anything. There’s still more people left. There’s still a chance to save everyone, I just… have to think." Good! Awesome! Great!

"Mark: Thanks. I really appreciate it. I… really appreciate you, Ellis." Mark continues to farm "awws" out of me, and he keeps managing it. Aww :)

With the full story, my brain snaps to a connection. Are they saying all of this… because they don’t want me to take myself for granted? Because of what she did…?

I chuckle.

Ellis: Come on, you’re talking to the Ellis Ortiz! I always know my worth. After all, you can find the net worth of most celebrities online.

Mark smiles.

Mark: Of course." Mark and Ellis' conversations continue to be one of my favorite parts of this fangan, they're just constantly peak with no valleys it's fantastic.

"Still though, mulling over the story, I notice something odd. Back when I was fixated on winning, I briefly entertained, yet quickly shoved away, the question of how the mastermind (and, now I know, traitor) would factor into all of this. I have to assume that the mastermind participating in the killing game isn’t a new development. If that’s true, that means that the mastermind (and potentially traitor) would have been amongst the contestants that Mark and his friend outlived." I somehow forgot about that, but it's true. We may be seeing a situation where the mastermind is being forced into the role, which is a hell of a thing. Then again, there's the very real chance that there's a lot of people who want to be the mastermind, to the point where they want to die for the role, what with Junko doing the same thing in THH and this being a Tragedy setting.

"Does that mean that the mastermind died, but it didn’t stop the killing game, like Kennedy suspected? Or, does it mean… that the mastermind was in that final two…?

If Mark doesn’t remember, I don’t know how I’m supposed to know. And, even if they did remember… if it was that latter option, there’s a possibility they wouldn’t tell me. But, I have to believe that Mark is innocent, don’t I…?

A smile like that is too important to lose." Very scary thoughts here, but Ellis' friendship prevails. Man, accirax picked a very good first character to complete the FTEs of, huh? Very happy about that! :D

Helplessly Silver shrugs, Sonic’s mouth kept firmly shut as the other fusses and fiddles and spends an excessively long amount of time on tucking his cup back into the plastic bag. “It’s just… that… that is what my world would have become, if that man had succeeded,” eventually gets mumbled out, Silver’s voice tinier than Sonic has ever heard it amidst the wind nearly drowning it out. “I dream about that… sometimes. Well, all the time, maybe. And… Espio’s there. Something happens, but I… I can’t rescue him. And sometimes you too, or Shadow, or Knuckles…” A deeper frown takes shape onto the psychic’s face, lips pressing together in a peeved thin line. “And that’s stupid, because I don’t even like any of you.”

Sonic fails to stifle a chuckle.

“I don’t!!” the heated reply gets yelled at him, the forest’s quiet shattering as birds squawk indignantly and the trees creaking around them as by a supernatural hand, but Sonic merely smiles back.

“Didn’t you team up with Shadow and Knuckles once?”

“Because I had to. The world would have been destroyed otherwise; I had no choice.” Yet Silver refuses to meet Sonic’s eyes, a deep sigh eventually echoing through the resounding silence. “…But I guess it was nice, to be helped. And I do think you’re all very brave,” follows, his eyes dropping to the forest ground and Sonic’s eyebrow raising. Brave, huh?

This one just makes me chuckle because I love the fact Silver, after much prodding, is finally opening up like half a centimeter about what is giving him so many night terrors, and then he concludes with the fact he doesn't like Sonic and his friends and thus it's dumb that he's having all these bad dreams XD He does like them all, he's just firmly in the denial phase for it, haha!

With a yawn Sonic regards the clock. Late, already past twelve; he can’t fault Silver for having gone to bed hours ago. Though, Sonic’s ears flick at the noise of the ticking, the speedster humming. Like there’s another sound that pipes up through it every once in a while…

“Strange,” Sonic yawns to himself, perking his ears up more.

And there it is again.

A whimper.

Sonic’s feet have blasted off to the stairs and upwards before the clock’s hand can tick another second away, a gust of wind tearing at the living room’s insides and the door to the hallway. The door to his bedroom has been creaked open, though Sonic is certain he closed it after he saw Silver off to bed. Not that it matters; his hands have the mind to at least open this one less chaotically, the speedster skidding to a halt beside the bed.

Sweat trickles down over Silver’s temple, balled fists squeezing creases and crinkles into the blankets that they clutch like a lifeline.

Bad dream.

“Silver,” Sonic whispers. Another whimper is his response, Silver’s quills spiked up and his face twisting in fright.

It’s the first time Sonic has ever seen him frightened.

With worry clutching at his chest the speedster reaches out; whether to shake Silver awake or smooth out those quills and wipe away the beads of sweat on his face, he doesn’t know. “Hey,” he murmurs, leaning in. “Hey, it’s okay-”

Silver squeaks, and in the corner of Sonic’s eye, cyan whirls up.

And the extra sentence that I'd written that'll come later: Silver’s hands flop over, clutching Sonic’s back and pressing into it so very tautly. It leaves Sonic trapped in place even more, nose barely peeking out of endless downiness.

I use OBS Studio for recording, which I think is pretty standard. But I do my video editing in Vegas Pro which idk if its common (I think people usually use adobe these days?) but I used a pirated version of Vegas to make AMVs back when I was a teenager so that was what I went with XD

I do have a decent PC but also play with low cc when I am recording for Youtube, as the game runs a little smoother and doesn't lag too much, which I think looks nicer on video! I also delete all my raw footage after I have finished editing/rendering as the files can get pretty big

edit: forgot to include this (idk if useful) but my OBS settings are set to recrod at 60FPS at a resolution of 1920x1018

I do use a mic! My first few videos were just recorded on a cheap bluetooth headset I used for work but the sound quality was pretty bad, haha. TBH I don't know much about mics, my partner is a musician and has a bunch of mics & equipment so I just borrowed his stuff lol! The mic is an Audio Technica AT2020 condenser microphone and its plugged into a M-Audio M-Track Solo USB audio interface (as the mic wouldnt plug into the PC otherwise, the interface also lets you adjust the gain which is nice) but idk if you really need something that fancy. I usually see people reccommend the Yeti mic for YouTube, which doesn't need an audio interface, idk if it is actually good or not but it seems like a popular choice?

Although if you are just starting out, I would not invest in any expensive mics or anything right off the bat - since you want to see if you actually enjoy the process of making videos first before spending any money on it! (For me at least I spend a LOT more time editing footage than recording it, it's very time consuming, although I think some creators do a lot less editing so its a style preference maybe). IMO Just start out with whatever you have and you can always upgrade later.

Also, the main thing I learned quickly which I think helped me about as much as using a better mic was having good "mic discipline". That's like, making sure your head/mouth is always the right sort of distance away from the microphone, making sure its positioned properly, trying to keep the volume you speak consistant, etc. I am still not always the best at this tbh! but am getting better :D

there's so much lore and while i haven't played in a while, i was suddenly overcome with the urge to write for the harbingers despite not remembering much about the main story quests OTL

hiya ヽ(✿ﾟ▽ﾟ)ノ it's not a dumb question at all! although I do have to ask... are you sure you want to ask me for advice? the person who writes crack summaries of characters mating in the style of national geographic documentaries and has written at least one fic where a major plot point was laxatives? because I sure wouldn't take my advice on writing fic xD

Silly aside, it's of course very much dependent on what type/genre you want to write. If it's shorter things just for the fluff or similar, I usually just go for brushing up on the character which typically includes looking at some of their dialogue or skimming the fan wiki page :3 If it's long fic where you want to get plenty of detail and possibly do some of your own speculation on the worldbuilding and such then I'd recommend looking over a video giving maybe a brief summary of the archon quests and other notable events + world quests.. Other than that, the fan wiki really is your friend.. While I was writing a reincarnation fic that was linking several events from before during and after the cataclysm, I had so so so many tabs open to switch between to make sure I didn't mess up the timeline of King Deshret and such 😭

Honestly, I think we as hobby writers sometimes put too much pressure on ourselves when it comes to being as accurate as possible and focus on every single detail and scattered note in the game - remember, the average fanfic reader probably spends significantly less time immersed in lore than the average fanfic writer, so if we don't remember.. chances are low that the majority of others do xD And personally, I care more about things being justified in the narrative of what I'm reading than I care about it being 100% canon compliant ...

No matter what, if you feel motivated to write, then I'm sure your enthusiasm will shine through and make the readers captivated with your writing! I'm sorry if this wasn't very helpful, I'm not really much of a good writer myself >w<

As Luck Would Have It - MADMOON FIC. God. This fic really does just get a lot of love. It's just a series of drabbles inspired by the show and also the book. I have no idea why this was such a beloved fic but it was. Gratitude just barely edged it out a couple years ago.

Six Long Years - Missing scene Varric/M!Hawke fic that I wrote ages ago. ;w; AND HERE I AM WRITING DRAGON AGE YET AGAIN...

Idiosyncratic Routine - This is Endhawks breeding kink bird heat fic I am both surprised but also not surprised this found its way into my top 5.

Learning Curve - Smutty oneshot that is a sequel to Gratitude kind of. Mostly it was an excuse for me to write something with my dick that was just for me lol.

What fandoms do you write for?

Right now, just Dragon Age. I tend to focus on one fandom at a time. But sometimes I noodle around with some Bloodweave here and there, some crossover stuff, and entertain the idea that one of these days I'm gonna write more of my Jojo's/ATSV crossover fic so I can continue to devolve into insanity over Jotaro/Miguel. A pairing for which One Fic exists. And it's the one I wrote. XD

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Absolutely! I try to respond to all my comments. Or if I get multiples from one person I'll try to reply to their most recent one for all the prior comments. But there are some fics that I can't bring myself to talk to people about anymore from my last fandom, so those comments have gone unanswered but that's something I put on the collection they're all in, so that hopefully people would know and not take it personally.

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh. Hmm. I think probably What the Hell is Isekai (AKA: Miguel's Bizarre Adventure) probably counts as fic with angstiest ending. I count this one because it's not an Angst Fic but the ending is kind of bittersweet after a shitload of comedy. It's just. Sad. I write a lot of angst and heavy angst but I'm big on the happy/hopeful ending. This particular fic happened to go in the reverse. Happy with an Angst Ending. Kind of.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Ooooh. HMMMM. Probably Gratitude. I wanna say that it really is one of the happy endings that hits the hardest for me.

Do you get hate on fics?

HA. Yeah. Absolutely. It's a thing that happens. Both on my main AO3 account and my alt accounts. It's thankfully infrequent and usually pretty laughable stuff.

Do you write smut?

Do you write crossovers?

Sure do! Well. Sort of. I have written One crossover. Most of the time if I'm gonna do something crossover-y what it actually is, is a reimagining of characters I'm playing with in a different world. All time? Oooh. It's hard to say. I think the ship that stands out in my heart, that is most beloved to me, that I find myself thinking on fondly again and again and again is probably Jack/Axton from Borderlands. But I hold a lot of fondness for all my ships I've loved over the years. My current fave is EmmCanis. c:

What’s the wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Burn Before Reading. Like, I have a lot of unfinished WIPs but I really really loved that concept and want to continue it but I go where the brainworms lead me. This hobby is for fun, after all.

What are your writing strengths?

I like to think I'm a pretty decent writer with a well rounded skill set since I've been working at it for the better part of almost 22 years. I have a clear and defined style that I understand and know how to execute and I think that's a strength.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Motivation. It's always motivation. I can do the thing and do it well but to actually make myself do it? I'm either going 60MPH or not at all and I have a hard time being consistent with motivation. I'm workin on it.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I tend to prefer just denoting a language shift and then italicizing for long swathes of dialogue in another language, rather than writing in a language I don't speak, so as to keep things clear for my readers, but also not butcher someone else's language. For one off words here and there or phrases that a character routinely says in canon, however, I will write it out.

First fandom you wrote for?

Gundam Wing, if we're gonna get specific. But it was never posted. First fandom I ever posted fic for was Death Note.

Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

To narrow it down, I'll say my favorite fic I've ever completed is a tie between What the Hell is Isekai and Tandemonium. The thing both of these have in common is I wrote them entirely for myself, my tastes, they're full of my own sense of humor. They made me laugh. They made me feel happy. Hear me out, i think they are those 2 people who look like complete opposites and people assume that they don't know about eachother's existence. Until one of them calls the other one for a hangout and the rest of the group stares at them suprised that they somehow communicate.

CUT so it won't take much space in my profile, ramble about potential character dynamics below warning, also sorry i most definitely got Finn's personality wrong he might be extremely inaccurate and out of character, sorry 💔

Okay so i think they would be like "Oh yeah, that one guy. i have his number actually, we talk sometimes". I think they might get to know eachother when Soshark just enrolled and was working as a janitor in the Mostro Lounge. He was probably whining about how bored he is and Finn is like "stfu" and Soshark just "OH GOD YOU CAN TALK??? i thought you were the shy quiet kid on the last table of the class character. Well, thats more interesting than a cliché i guess" "What." Since Soshark became a performer they talk a looot less(especially with how loud his performances are and how hyperfixated on them he is)

After that they talk sometimes. They are opposite in the Loud VS Quiet and Extrovert VS Introvert cases, but they seem to be matching their dislike of social norms and their straightforward kinda rude attitude. They definitely wouldn't survive in the same room with eachother, i can only imagine how extremely overwhelming it feels to be in the same room with someone who is yelling, summoning Anglerfish spotlights, blasting music at extreme volumes and dances around the second someone mentions something Showtime-related lmao.

Yet i think they can have a silly talk after the shows, when Soshark comes back from the Mostro at like 11pm and he falls on the lounge couch with no energy left, they will probably get along quite well. They probably have eachother's numbers.

I think Soshark has like 15 phone numbers of random people who he never talks to, but he sometimes just randomly texts them in 3am. His besties DEFINITELY have him on mute, they want some sleep, not to listen to his yapping about a random show script he thought of in the middle of the night. And each time he has no one to yap to, he just deals a random number out of these 15. "HEY QUICK QUESTION!!!!" "wh- why are you calling me.. who are you..." "NO TIME TO EXPLAIN, WOULD YOU PREFER A PLOT TWIST WHERE A SECRET EVIL TWIN TURNS OUT TO BE A KIND SCIENTIST OR-" "why". Finn is one of those poor souls.

Another instance where they would randomly contact eachother out of nowhere is when something like "Oh god we have to do something thats completely out of our field and we have absolutely no idea how this specific thing works/we need a contact with someone who we never talked to for something urgent" and they are like "Oh wait, i have a guy". Finn calls his half-famous showman half-friend to help him to find some extremely obscure fact about theatre industry in a middle of nowhere. Also i think Soshark and his Pop Music Club besties would invite random people at their sleepovers for funsies, they just each call a random person from their contact list. Poor Finn is cursed to sit in a room full of girlypop extroverts as they gossip about what a bitch some random Jessica is. Probably sitting in the corner watching them out on facemasks. Or he is involved and forced to participate? poor guy

I think it's funny to think of them like an a rare character duo that don't usually interact, but can be silly under some oddly specific circumstances because they have some similar traits. Like, idk, Jamil and Ruggie? Idia and Cater? Elp, i hope i am not soundinh like a madman rambling about this

I think one of those circumstances might be their signature spells. Hear me out. Soshark's spell is SUPER EASY, basically it would be like beginner level spell it wasn't a signature one. it's basically just levitation spell + summon spell with extra steps. But the whole difficulty is in mastering it. Controlling them feels like playing a game with reversed controls with max camera sensitivity while trying to do No-hit mode(especially with multiple fishies at the same time). And playing instruments like Soshark does is really hard. I actually had a scenario in which Soshark gets really sad that no one understands how hard Shelltime is, where he ends up making a deal with Azul and switches signature spells with him solely to prove that his spell is hard. HEAR ME OUT, Finn copies Soshark's spell, since it's really easy to cast it's almost correct. And the next 5 hours it's just Soshark grinning and laughing proudly while Finn tries to control the fish. I think Soshark would ABSOLUTELY beg Finn to use his signature spell every single time he sees him. Lil shark DOES NOT understand the concept of "spells consume magic, you shouldn't overuse them!". He would beg for him to copy him, and then laugh at how incorrect Finn's soshark is. Soshark is definitely jealous of how each person can have only 1 spell.. Aah..So many performance opportunities, why a spell like that has to be limited to that guy and not him?! He wipes his tears like a drama queen each time Finn rejects his invitations to perform. "Oh come on! Just imagine the show! Everyone looking at us, you can copy me and help me with the dancing scene! You are like the weird incanny version of me! COME OOOON!!!" "no."

They actually seem to come from somewhere similar, but I can't really pull out any "they knew eachother as kids" scenarios because it would crash the Soshark lore. But i guess they can exist in the same universe on some AU <- don't ask

Also they are the Autism & ADHD duo, i didn't thought of how to tie it into the ramble, but they are.

summary: They are 2 half-friends who are basically opposites, but they work in some sillies. And it's rather silly. Sadly they probably wouldn't become besties tho because of how opposite they are, bros just would die if put in 1 room. But it's silly.

I think i will make a masterlist section dedicated to fanon sillies like these later, i like rambling about oc stuff
