one of my favorite senarios to imagine to put yukio in is sending him 10 years into the future (with the exwires usually) and everyone from their class are like chill adults including himself working their boring ass exorcist job and hes trying to assert dominance over them as the teacher™ but they're all like bro why so serious?

#somehow in my future au i accidently made only the boys active exorcists im so sorry to all the women in aoex #they all passed but i think shiemi and izumo would leave to persue other passions but still be in ajacent fields #like shiemi still runs her exorcist shop #idk what izumo does maybe she still is an exorcist but shes on leave trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life #cuz so much of her adolescence was focused vengence for her family i think she would be kinda lost as an adult #ive said this a bunch of times but rin isnt actually an exorcist for the same reason izumo isnt #ive been kinda muddy on my own timeline but either he passed and left or he dropped out of school and ran away #i think hes like an independent demon slayer like a contract worker #so he still is basically an exorcist but not sanctioned by the vatican like as part of a mercenary guild or something #but he can still take exorcist missions if he wants to but usually its not worth it so he just helps out yukio or bon on their missions #i think after being a literal terrorist yukio got demoted and lost his license for a bit so hes still the same rank as he is now #but now hes medicated and he went to therapy #he has like no memory of highschool to almost a concerning degree and hes generally pretty muted but is still well liked #bon had a completely normal exorcist experience against all odds actually so did koneko except koneko went back to the myoda #and then shima got scouted for his amazing spy skills and works overseas #sorry shima ur not allowed to be an idol that might be the trigger for the bad end #anyway i think teen yukio would hate adult yukio because he thinks hes not allowed to be normal and happy #this is like the 4th time ive made this post like i said its one of my favorites #the reverse is rin going to the past and like tutoring the exorcist class #nobody wants to do yukio psychoanalysis but me so i gotta step up to the plate #jk theres a lot of good yukio fanfics #blue exorcist #ao no exorcist #yukio okumura #rin okumura

My brother, a Warframe veteran, told me about how the veteran players tend to help out the new players, proving this himself by trading me some mods I had no way of getting myself yet. I thought "fair enough, more experienced players tend to be like that, especially if they get bored" and continued on.

Later I had managed to slowly but surely gather up platinum (mostly by selling fish) and was so excited to go to the Market and buy the Feyarch skin for Oberon - I'd seen fanart of it before I learned Oberon does not by default look like it, and I had absolutely fallen in love with the skin. And I realised I was missing one platinum. One. I was so miffed, and ended up complaining to my Alliance's chat, but was resigned to wait till someone would again message me about those rare fish.

And then this one person sends a message to the Alliance chat: "yeah I could give you that." Huh? "I need [super common mod I have like 60 copies of, and I have no doubts that they had at least twice that amount]. Let's trade."

In short, I now have the Feyarch skin, and incredible amounts of gratefulness in my heart. Thank you, friend

Been thinking about Marshall and Lime, and im not sure if perhaps you havent already mentioned it:

Does being a white or black canvas doesnt make them part of a magic community by default/at birth?? (Putting aside the special force smth of m34, and any witches and guilds and etc.)

thats a good question!!! its a bit of a gray area (ba dum ts 🥁), in my head i always considered "being a member of the magic community" as having something that makes you like. not a normal human. like having some kind of magic or being a spirit/monster/cryptid/etc!!

for black and white canvases, theres nothing inherently special about them besides the level of their magic resistance..,,everyone has some level of resistance, they are just the most extreme levels, but i dont think having it is considered any kind of special magic power or sets you too far apart from other humans!!

for a black canvas its being a part of a guild/the m-34th is what makes you part of the magic community!! the m-34th has nothing inherently magic but since they involve themselves so much in police-ing the magic community they are by and large considered a part of it

for a white canvas its actually incredibly hard to get involved with the magic community i feel... mostly for this reason: a lot of the community hides behind some kind of masking spell-- witches use the mob spell, the merchant uses...something, sulluvan only appears to those who he wants to, but all of it has its roots in "using magic to conceal yourself from the world," and the less resistance you have the less you're able to break from that!! essentially, a white canvas is the most magic-gullible type LOL!! contrast this to a black canvas where you couldnt use a masking spell around them if you tried your best, theyd see right through it

im actually not sure how marshall even ends up being part of the m-34th and gets involved anyway...his pipeline into the magic community must have been someone directly pulling him in and getting him straight to the m-34th because theres no way he couldve gotten in organically the way lime did, he would just be going about his merry way...

#but anyway!!! i never considered them organically a part of the magic community!!#good question though!!!#white canvases are so much more rare than black canvases #just because they either sponge up the illusion magic and dont question shit #or if they get involved they tend to die easy LOL #marshall operates on pure determination and probably spite #in a beta idea marshall has an older brother in the higher ranks of the m-34th and hes determined to be better than him no matter what #which is how he gets involved in the first place #they have a bad relationship #the kind of thing where its like (youll never be a part of this organization as a white canvas just go home and give up)#so he goes to great lengths to prove him wrong #finds a better big brother relationship with lime <3333 #marshall must also be crazy smart to figure out ways to 1) get himself into the m-34th and 2) pass all their training and exams #while openly admitting he is a white canvas #and doing it faster than lime #while secretly managing to secure potions and using them without anyone finding out

#I think they have a complicated relationship I’ve been pondering it #bc Holt very much does hate her before the events of the Koliblunt force trauma incident #her initial dislike of Sieben comes from a bad first impression when Sieben was fresh meat on sierpinski (Holt is olddd)#she was petty about it but willing to deal with it to a certain point #but as her higher up sieben pushed her buttons one too many times early on #which is bad you WANT the senior medical EULR on your side in case of emergency!!!#i do think they’ve spent a lot of time together for work related reasons #they become not quite friends not quite enemies?? but a secret weird cold thing full of regret maybe #this partially has to do with how I characterize present day sieben bc yeah she’s a Storch and they are prone to temper tantrums especially #if not trained correctly #but Sieben’s basically one of the highest ranking units at sierpinski if I remember correctly #and you don’t get there without some degree of level headedness + when talking to her she’s not necessarily warm and fuzzy #but she also didn’t seem like a young volatile Storch to me #at least not anymore #I think about sieben a lot but anyways #roundabout way of saying that when Holt did fall ill with the infection it wasn’t ignored by sieben #Holt was visited by her once alone when her vision started fading and they had a moment.#a reconciliation? an attempt on sieben’s part to make things right before the inevitable?? or just wanting to check on her? who knows #I certainly don’t #holt #thanks for listening to the ramble I’m attempting to blorbo post more #and this has been rotating in my head for weeks #figured I’d get it out #blorbo tag

#and all of this is true while it is ALSO true that her songs age incredibly well #even debut or random soundtrack songs or endgame #whatever song people try to put on the worst Taylor songs list NEVER QUITE BELONGS #it doesn’t feel right. and to some extent occasionally in mercurial flashes I feel the same about her BEST songwriting list #I can never rank anything of hers ever because she can write better than she has written #if anything finds her own songwriting dead it’s what her future self will be able to achieve #and I think sometimes even the public can SENSE this about her and it’s part of why people are sooooo hard on her in a brutal way #and in a way they never are with other artists. who have reached the limits of their potential #Taylor has not reached the limits —that’s the simple way of saying it #in some way she is still figuring out the artist she is going to be #and I really do think that it is going to be absolutely astonishing #because in some ways (this is going to sound crazy) she is still distracted by her success and her tour #she’s NOT but I mean. the canon hasn’t been fully set free #there are still somehow things holding her back #and we’ve watched her outstrip so much of those early confines that fame and the business of the music industry strapped around her #we’ve seen her say ‘that doesn’t apply to me’#but actually she’s going to and she needs to and I believe she WILL continue to move into rarefied air #my mom helped me give me the final piece of this feeling (and it’s just a deep gut intuition/brain chemical thing for me)#when she said one day almost in mild exasperation: maybe one day Taylor will grow into a Dolly Parton #and something CLICKED #in my brain. and I don’t agree with my mom in terms of her non-interest in Taylor (as much as it has pained me to do so)#I think she’s worth loving and paying attention to now #but that gap that exists between people who love her and people who don’t (full time haters internet trolls do not interact)#I think it’s going to close with time as her work stretches out and out and grows and changes #like I think by the end of her career we are going to have something so astonishing #and to loop it back for a second to a previous thought.
