i love translators’ notes. i love seeing a little footnote that’s like “compare my good and grass-touching translation to the STUPID translations of smith and johnson, who rendered the passage ‘xyz’ because their heads are so far up their ass they’re giving ouroboroses body dysmorphia” or “this sentence isn’t translated very well, but that’s because the author wasn’t making any FUCKING sense”

I'd never heard of this in my life (though as a Finn I can't be too surprised when I bump into an English saying I'm unfamiliar with) so I got curious, and looked it up. Also btw for the sake of the poll, I also had no clue what it could mean. Here's Wiktionary's thoughts on it:

Sorry to say, but it is indeed Australian. Congrats on inventing a normal sounding phrase but keeping it on the down low enough that nobody else on Earth has ever heard about it

Also please tell me where you're from, cos I hear on Tumblr that this phrase is Aussie but I'm Aussie and it doesn't sound fucking Aussie to me. Do foreigners know this? This just seems like a normal fucking sentence.

Recently, I did a fishing stream where chat could fish alongside me to try and catch a Feebas, which went great! I'm planning on trying some more fishing streams in the future, so I got another commission done by nisokkai, the same artist who did my Unown hunt piece to use for my stream starting screen :D

They nailed every bit of it, and I love how my Gulpin, Gup looks with his little hat!
