Vash, the last timelord (or so we think) accidentally picks up Ww, who is from a dystopian future timeline and brings him back before the earth because an almost inhabitable planet. He wants to bring him back to his time but he's in a hurry to finish whatever he was doing when Ww wandered into the tardis.

They eventually meet Milly and Meryl in a nearer timeline on a different planet (or smth idk), where people are still telling legends about the monster who blew a hole in the moon.

one of the most surprising part of finally joining the batman fandom was reading older comics and finding out that this guy wasn’t an abusive monster (at least in most comic runs) but was just some obviously mentally ill suicidal guy who’s continuously indulged and even manipulated (sometimes) by his closest friends and remaining family to jump off of buildings and sob to the ptsd induced hallucinations of his dead parents and kids he glimpses in the mirror

this is an alfred hatepost lowkey. like alfreds whole reasoning was ‘well I just wasn’t ready to be a father (i abandoned one kid already it really wouldn’t be difficult to do it again) and bruce was sooo hard to deal with 🥺 (i don’t even parent him in any meaningful way)’

Alfred is literally like “hmm schizophrenic 14 year old child. lets let him go talk and train with assassins and murderer detectives to figure out his ‘true self’ since he very obviously doesn’t want the nonexistent encouragement and help I’ve totally been giving. I’ll even pack his suitcases because THAT couldn’t send any wrong ideas to the kid I repeatedly tell to grow up and learn about life.” and he expects him to come back to Alfred’s expectation of ‘normal’???

don’t even get me started with his whole ‘indulging the continuous cycle of robins’ thing. Bruce is like “wow let’s get this kiddo to a foster home with emotionally stable people who can properly raise him” while Alfred is already picking out the fabrics to sew the robin costumes. like worstie you started the cycle of emotional unavailability and crappy parenting!!!!! you (and a lot of people in the fandom included) can’t keep blaming that on just Bruce forever!!!

altan isn't a violent person at his core it was just what other people have always seen him as because he's speerly, and for some reason the speerlies have a savage connotation when we have no proof that they were actually animals in the sense that other people keep describing them as. im sure that we only get the savage speerly stereotype because as a people, they were fundamentally different from the nikara and the mugenese. and since they were all (mostly) dead at the start of book one, who was going to negate all of these stereotypes? no one. (i could go on about how altan was slapped with the "last speerly" moniker when in reality he probably remembers very little about his culture and what speer was like before all of the war and the death but that's for another time <3)

even back in his days of sinegard altan isnt depicted as a particularly violent person, though he's placed in violent events. like in the fighting pits at night altan is pitted up against his peers who want to fight him at a chance at victory, to prove that they've won a battle against the last speerly and we have no idea if altan actually wants to fight them or if he's forced to (iirc it's highly suggested that irjah baits him into fighting by promising him opium if he wins, and he will, because he always does) (although that could've just been nezha being a dick) and even though altan shows no signs of violence or aggression (he's always depicted as calm, stoic, etc) he's always painted as something less than human, an animal simply because ??? he wins their fights? as if that's not something he's expected to do in the first place. ("how did he do that? isn't he human?" "he isn't, he's speerly" this quote. ARGHARAGH RABAN ILY BUT SHUT UPPP)

and back to the stereotypes of speerlies and why they're painted as rabid animals even though there's no proof that they are. the main thing i can think of rn is how the federation (+ the mugenese) think of them simultaneously as something divine and to be studied but also as these rabid beasts at the same time. like the federation soldiers are clearly afraid of fire / the speerlies (i have a separate hc that their culture has something to do with this but that is also for another time <3) shiro mentions how precious and important the speerlies are (and yet his people bombed altan's? ://) while taking every opportunity he can to pick altan apart. then people wonder why altan's vicious towards the federation and hates them with every fiber of his being and why he has so much pent-up anger within him and it's like, hello?? they took him captive when he was a child, and sent him to the laboratory with shiro where he would spend half of his life being cut open and dissected, injected with opium time and time again, forced to watch his people die off one by one without the knowledge that he was the last until after he'd been rescued. (this still gets me btw no im not in tears) and then even when he's out, his suffering isn't over, (it's never over lets be real) because he's shipped off to sinegard academy where he'll be surrounded by so many different conflicting stereotypes (the nikara think he's an animal because he's speerly but shiro thought he was amazing because he was speerly, because of his connection to the phoenix) and really, he's not violent, not at his core, but i cant imagine the inner turmoil altan went through his first few years out of the lab + his first year at sinegard where he was the only one who was different (and also fighting an opium addiction at the same time and people belittle him over this when it literally wasn't his fault)

like altan was not violent. he was calm and he had his moments of peace, but ultimately because of everything that had happened to him (cough. shiro u motherfucker), the violence was forced out of him and became all he knew ("chaghan said they trained you like a dog at the academy" ://) and he literally didn't know any better, he was failed by every single person who should have helped him. (never getting over this btw)

yin riga, a man who he trusted, sent him away to shiro. (will never not think of how much little five year old altan trusted riga and then. well.) jiang, who was supposed to help him with his connection to the phoenix, shunned him. irjah, who was his supposed caretaker, who only fed his opium addiction in order to control him, just like how shiro did, just like how the nikara did to the speerlies (parallels. yaaay.)

in the end altan trengsin wasn't a violent person, but it was all anyone wanted to see. it was all anyone would remember him by.

thinking about that new varric voiceover lore video and about the evanuris and their connection to the archdemons… the fact that all of the evanuris other than ghilly and edgar are “gone” supports this i think. we also have since seen that mural in Solas’s minrathous hideout that shows a dragon being bound in chains by elves. then the mention of “ghilan’nain’s archdemon” threw me off a bit when it first came out but i think ive made sense of it.

each evanuris has their own dragon… but can also BE their own dragon. maybe they learn the dragon form by binding a dragon? thetes a codex about it being a “form reserved for the gods”, maybe it involves absorbing a high dragon soul or something? im thinking of Solas’s dread wolf form post-inquisition described as “draconic” and “winged” and “scaled” in tevinter nights, and we can pretty safely assume it became that way after he absorbed mythal’s soul/power. we also know flemythal can BE a dragon but also has a dragon bound to her will, which she gives an inquisitor who drank from the well. if morrigan drinks, she can learn the dragon form as well, but only after defeating that dragon. we don’t know the details of how she learns it, maybe it’s some combination of the well + fighting the dragon + being flemeth blood? if someone remembers that scene better than me, please lmk because i always have my inquisitor drink so i rarely see it. there’s also the line from Mythal “a soul is not forced upon the unwilling” which is maybe relevant here? this is honestly the part we know the least about.

but in terms of the evanuris and the archdemons, we know a bit more. first, we now know only ghilly and Edgar are left. the others are “gone”. gone forever? maybe not. but they’re not in the prison, so we have to assume they got out. we also know that Mythal wanted urthemiel’s soul, and it was the reason she sent Morrigan with the warden and Alistair.

we know that blights happen when the darkspawn find an “Archdemon” underground and infect it with the blight. it then leads the darkspawn to the surface. this suggests that Archdemons are normal dragons sleeping/trapped within the deep roads until they are blighted by darkspawn. we also know that the forgotten ones were trapped in the "void" by fen'harel, and that they represented the "maligned aspect of the elven pantheon", things like "disease, terror, spite and malevolence" (lucanis lovers... this might be relevant). most people have assumed for years that the forgotten ones are the archdemons.

we also know blighted creatures can body-hop into any other blighted creature nearby, making them incredibly difficult to kill. this is why only grey wardens can kill an archdemon, because the “essence is drawn into the sacrificial grey warden, killing both” (per the wiki) but im not sure if there is any elaboration on exactly why/how? maybe origins scholars will know more but the wiki is vague. the dark ritual, however, which uses blood magic somehow cures urthemiel’s soul of the taint and allows kieran to be born untainted but containing two souls. no fucking clue how that works. lmk if anyone has thoughts LMFAO

anyway back to the evanuris. we also know now thanks to veilguard marketing that the evanuris are behind the blights and have been orchestrating the blights in some way. but then the question is how have they been doing that from their prison?

so now what im wondering is if whatever apotheosis godhood process made the evanuris into the evanuris involved binding dragon souls and learning their form in the process. this explains why the evanuris can shapeshift into dragons but also seemingly have control of several dragons (we see ghilly commanding several, only one is referred to as "her archdemon"). considering the evanuris have been clearly separated from the archdemons, and assuming the archdemons are the forgotten ones, perhaps the archdemons that the evanuris bound are the forgotten ones and the evanuris absorbed both their souls and their power? we know they fought a war and than fen'harel ended it by locking them away. but i wonder if absorbing the forgotten ones power was a goal of the evanuris, and that fen'harel stopped them by locking them both away. how the forgotten ones fit in is definitely one part im stumped on.

but im thinking that the evanuris are the old gods, at least mostly, and they spoke to the magisters sidereal and bid them to enter the black city. this then released the blight into thedas, obviously, and commanded the darkspawn (one of the gameplay vids uses this language; that ghilly is "commanding" the darkspawn) to hunt down their dragons/the archdemons/the forgotten ones, whatever the fuck they are, and when the darkspawn give the archdemons the blight, it gives the evanuris the ability to body hop into them via their blight powers. then, they've effectively escaped their prison, even if they had to leave their elven bodies behind. however, clearly some sort of power/sentience gets lost in the process, because the archdemons do not use magic the way the evanuris do. but perhaps its a price they're willing to pay for freedom and revenge?

this explains why the rest of the evanuris are gone when ghilly and edgar break free, as well as why those two still have elven bodies and and an archdemon - because they did not have to shawshank redemption their souls into a blighted void dragon/forgotten one creature in order to escape. it also explains why mythal wanted the old god baby ritual done so badly, as that would be one of her children's souls who was purified within her grandson (not that it'll matter in veilguard lol) and that she was able to get back. it also explains why solas was so upset at the warden's plan in inquisition, a plan which was given to them by corypheus. considering corypheus probably met the evanuris when he breached the black city (whether he knew it or not), and presumably learned blight magic from them (body hopping) and then wanted them to find the other archdemons "in some bizarre attempt to preempt the blight". while the wardens think finding and killing the archdemons will prevent blights, solas clearly knows that it will NOT and actually says finding them "could make everything worse". this would make sense if the act of finding them is what allows the evanuris to then possess them and break free. it also could suggest that separating the forgotten ones in the void and the evanuris in the fade was an integral part of his fade-prison-veil-creation-coup scheme. he was trying to keep them apart.

what it still does not explain is what the fuck the forgotten ones are or how they play into it, because im just extrapolating. it also doesnt explain what the fuck is going on with the void, which is relevant because that is where the darkspawn originally came from.... even though we know the blight originated in the black city with the evanuris??????? whats crazy is solas could have told us all of this and yet he insisted on being a little shit and keeping his mouth shut. anyway hope u enjoyed my yapping

voice muffled by the fabric of his shirt you spoke, “i missed you.”

he left a kiss on the top of your head, “missed you too.”

after a few seconds, you pulled away, and he smiled at you before lifting up his right hand and placing it gently to hold your jaw. you melted into his touch, and you watched as he leaned in and felt as his soft lips met yours.

even after all this time, with the smallest things, like a simple kiss, he still managed to give you butterflies.

pulling away, you opened your eyes and stared at your lovely boyfriend, but doing so, your eyes only grew wider by the second.

“wait—jake!” you exclaimed, perhaps slightly too loud as it was enough to make him flinch (a cute habit of his). you blinked a few times to make sure you were seeing this right. a smile began to overcome your lips, complementing your astonished gaze as your next few words left you, “your hair! it’s black!”

you squealed, bringing one hand up to brush through the locks between your fingers, your other hand on his bicep to steady yourself.

he smiled as he watched you, amused with what a single colouring session for his hair could do to you.

“it looks so good!” you complimented subconsciously.

“i mean the blonde is obviously amazing, but this!” you couldn’t help but admire, “there’s something about your natural colour that just hits way harder. i love it.”

he pulled you closer, hugging you, but you weren’t finished yet. you pushed back slightly, unable to get enough of this. combing through the soft locks some more, you gasped.

“you cut it too!”

too initially caught up in the drastic change of colour, you hadn’t noticed that his hair was shorter.

“i’m glad you like it,” he started, pulling you closer again, causing you to slightly fall against his body, automatically then wrapping your arms around his torso, “but can i just have this moment with you?”

his words were soft and implied that he wanted to cherish the few minutes of free time he had with you in his hold before he had to return to practice.

“i know you love the compliments though,” you said, smirking although he couldn’t see it.

“but i love having you in my arms a lot more,” he flirted.

you rolled your eyes playfully before closing them and savouring the moment with an exhale, pulling yourself deeper into him, mumbling a soft, “i love you.”

“what was that?” he teased, attempting to look at you, but you just buried your face deeper into his body.

“nothing.”

he kissed the side of your head with a smirk, “i love you too.”

would i be considered a lunatic if i said that horror's story could be read as a parallel for SA. Hear Me Out: (obviously be careful for reading this bc like,,, sensitive topic)

i feel like the largest parallel could be the actual event of getting his eye taken. a part of his body is "taken" and literally or metaphorically horror was pinned down and forced to give up his body (even worse considering that a literal part of him was PULLED out with a foreign object designed solely to hurt HIM SPECIFICALLY). it's digusting and horror claws and fights his way out to prevent it but unfortunately it still ends up happening no matter what he could've done. no matter how many backup plans or extra contibutions or begging or fighting he did. which like. sounds honestly pretty simple to the reality of victims of SA. that hopelessness of knowing that even if you did as much as you could, covering up, devoting yourself to a life of chastity, not hanging with people like thay, there's still a chance that something bad could happen and all of a sudden everyone's out to get you and how could they just stand by and do NOTHING while you were left to suffer and defend yourself

which leads onto the next point i wanna bring up which is horror's rage immediately after getting his eye stolen. his anger at the betrayal is (very justified my boy did nothing to deserve this) solely about him and his bodily autonomy. undyne (and alphys ig,,,,) couldn't consider ANY other possible solution than to deprive him of his autonomy and decide to just take what they wanted from his body??? AND THE FACT THAT ALPHYS SAID THAT HE MIGHT AGREE TO GIVING UP HIS EYE? it's giving very much so "oh it'll feel good so don't worry" type shit or whatever (horrortale alphys i DONT like you). a betrayal at the hands of someone you trusted a lot about your bodily autonomy? it just gives off that sort of parallel

and the sheer anger and fury that horror felt and enacted on alphys and undyne and everyone else at the CORE just like DUDE. that is a type of anger that only comes out when you've been deeply wronged. sometimes when a horrific experience like getting SAed happens you just wanna explode and drag down everyone around you and ESPECIALLY the perpetrators no matter how much you rationalize. you can have as many people as you want try to convince you that revenge and being hateful isnt the way but it doesn't matter because they havent been wronged the way youve been. horror deserved to be that cruel because undyne and alphys were just as cruel back to him, so he'll be the same and return it 10fold (he probably wasnt even out of bones when he decided to turn them into chips he just wanted to make it a point that he didn't even need to use his full strength to hurt the guards. horror could've EASILY killed alphys but no he wanted it to hurt for her so she could live a life of eternal suffering and fall to her lowest and to ESPECIALLY hurt undyne. because they deserve to suffer just as much as he did if not more for the crime commited against him)

a betrayal as bad as alphys's is only worsened when she tells him that she doesnt regret a single thing about using him for the underground. that has to be the single most infuriating thing for horror to hear because WHAT DO YOU MEAN alphys doesn't regret a thing? that's exactly what some people gloat about after doing terrible things; they try to sweep it under the rug as nothing that bad or justify it OR JUST STRAIGHT UP ADMIT IT!!! nah horrortale alphys deserved to suffer idc

and back onto that feeling of wanting to kick and scream and drag everyone else down with you after being left so used and betrayed due to getting SAed: i know it was bad that horror tricked snowdin into eating humans it was TERRIBLY BAD but really horror was just operating on anger and spite and the need for vengeance. nobody in snowdin ever did anything to hurt him (and i'm sure horror knows that considering he definitely regrets what he did) but to him maybe they also should feel the pain he feels so they can all relate. so that they can't try and fight against him when he says his side of the story and say that undyne was right with what she did. that maybe he wouldn't feel so absolutely devastated after what happened if he saw everyone around him suffering too, and maybe JUST MAYBE he'd get a bit of something back from his sacrifice that he never consented to

i KNOW i'm not reaching with this but idk if i phrased it the best. but to me horror's story really does genuinely parallel to one of an SA survivor's: the betrayal, the anger, the feeling of loneliness and isolation and just feeling absolutely used for a simple thing as your body. chapter 4 of horrortale really is amazing storytelling and so is horror (he was reasonable in what he did IDC WHAT ANYONE SAYS he might be WRONG but it was reasonable. i love horror sans)

My post about Anya is making like a little ruckus on Twitter and I think it’s crazy how many people like have a problem with it.

Like you don’t have to agree with how I characterize Anya and her actions but it’s more like, why are you focused on only one aspect of her character? Why are you removing nuance from the situation? I don’t see it as giving Curly the benefit of the doubt when it comes to doing better for Anya, but as exploring his character and hers relationship with a the very little authentic facts we get about them. In truth, there’s a lot more I wish Curly did, even if it wasn’t pragmatic but I realize the issue there.

The first psychological horror game in a while that’s real intricate in its storytelling and makes you need to really need to address the morality of intentions and its already getting torn asunder smh 😔
