My friend is having a bday party this friday and she said we’re going to this asian buffet restaurant. That restaurant was my fav before my ed and I’m so scared I’m going to ruin all of my efforts and binge because, well it’s a buffet. I’ll just try eating the more low calorie foods like miso soup, vegetables and vegan sushi. I don’t want to purge ever again since it makes my face super weird looking but will it be weird if I don’t eat a lot in there? I don’t want to my friends to find out about this ever. I’ll just fast after it for the weekend since I’ll be home alone since my parents are going to some cultural party thingy.

Don't let anyone dictate how you approach your own disorder.
You wanna eat 3 low calorie meals a day? Good for you!
You wanna eat 1 higher calorie meal a day? Good for you!
You wanna eat every 2 days? Good for you!
You wanna live off of rice cakes and fruit? Good for you!
You wanna omad and entire pizza? Good for you!
Eating disorders aren't a one-size-fits-all illness. Everyone is going to handle them differently, and no one should be shamed because of that. And just because someone eats more than you/exercises less/doesn't eat exclusively healthy food, doesn't make you better than them. We're all fucked up, and we know it. We don't need to project any feelings of superiority into this community, because when it comes down to it, we're all just as bad as each other.
Let people go at their own pace, and deal with their disorder their own way.
