H&L: When They’re Jealous
re: when some guy tries flirting with you…
“girlfriend” “she” used
not shown, ranmaru later being a dickhead to you because he partially blames you for the whole ordeal…because he sucks (i love him)
Tumblr media
Cobra: “Is this your friend?” Cobra isn’t someone who likes to jump to conclusions, and he wants you to know that he trusts you completely and would never assume any sort of infidelity. So, when he sees a man approach you at the bar, he wants to give the benefit of the doubt. Cobra casually slides back onto the barstool next to you that he previously occupied before stepping off to the bathroom. Though he remains cool about the whole thing, he can’t help the way his arm seems to mindlessly find itself wrapping around your hips in a territorial way. “I’m Cobra, by the way. Her boyfriend.”
Hyuga: “Oi, who let this clown in here? I hate clowns.” Hyuga nonchalantly tokes on his pipe, several Daruma Babies hovering around behind him. Despite his calm attitude, you can tell by the twitch of his eyebrows that he’s irritated. The man who was trying to flirt with you instantly takes a step away from you, clearly taking note of the danger that he faces at the hands of Hyuga. Hyuga looks to you, asking you without any words if the guy was bothering you. You know that, if you wanted him to, Hyuga would be quick to dispose of the guy for you, but the man seems harmless enough, so you shake your head. “You’re lucky the Mrs. here is nicer than me. Get the hell out of here.”
Ranmaru: “If you’re looking for a pretty face, I’m right here.” Ranmaru’s the type to act first and ask questions later. The second he sees the man approach you in the dimly-lit club he’s already got the guy’s shirt gripped tightly in his fist. It doesn’t even matter if the guy was actually flirting with you or not. Ranmaru yanks the man closer so that they’re face-to-face, a shit-eating grin that you know all too well appearing on his face. Ranmaru likes to pretend like he doesn’t get jealous, but let anyone try to make a move on you and his actions will say differently. “That one’s off limits, though.”
Yasushi: “You looking for someone to take you out on a date? Go ahead, try those moves of yours out on me. I’m waiting.” Your boyfriend’s near-maniacal laughter seems to scare the guy shitless, because all prior confidence he’d had when hitting on you was now evaporated and replaced with utter fear. Yasushi casually steps between you and the guy, his grin only widening at the fearful reaction. Yasushi teasingly beckons the guy forward with a wave of the hand. There’s nothing you can say or do at this point to get Yasushi to stand down; Yasushi’s already taken this opportunity to scratch that itch for a fight. “What? Lost your nerve? Come on, don’t get me all excited for nothing.”
Fujin: “She’s got a boyfriend who knows how to fight, y’know?” Fujin slings an arm over your shoulders and eyes down the guy who just tried asking for your number, much to your own obvious discomfort. Fujin hadn’t left your side for more than two seconds when the creep decided to swoop in. Fujin trusts you implicitly, but he’s quick to jump in when anyone else might be trying to make a move on you. One thing about Fujin is that he doesn’t like people bothering his significant other. Fujin flicks his head in a gesture that dismisses the guy who currently looks like he’s regretting his decision in approaching you. “Get lost, before you really piss me off.”
Amagai: “You thought you should even try? You’re pathetic.” Another one who likes to pretend like he doesn’t get jealous, but boy does he. Amagai shoves his foot into the gut of the guy currently on the floor at his feet. The second you had casually mentioned the guy had tried hitting on you, Amagai was already sending Ryo on his way to bring the guy-in-question to him. This was all little known to you, however, because one thing Amagai wasn’t going to do was have his jealousy be known to you. Amagai squats down and looks the trembling guy in the eyes with a cold smile. “Didn’t anybody ever teach you not to touch things that aren’t yours?”

A Helping Hand – Cobra (PSF #11)
Tumblr media
PSF Ficography | H&F Flash Ficography
Genre: Fluff, slice of life, romance
Prompt: Sweet Tooth (@flufftober) / Would you rather… pumpkin spice or cinnamon? (@slumberpartybingo Fall Flash)
Word Count: 2,729
Pairing: Reader x Cobra
World: High&Low
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
You entered the diner, enjoying the warmth it offered against the cold wind outside. The usual suspects were chilling at the table in the center of the room, eating the omelet that Naomi had made them while they argued about some TV show the three of them were watching.
You approached the booth in the corner where Cobra sat, flipping through a wrestling magazine. He sent you that soft smile that was reserved only for you as you sat down across from him.
“You’re late,” he spoke softly, eyes falling to the ring on your finger. He had given it to you for your birthday as a promise that he would always love you. Though you had sworn to never take it off, he still felt surprised and happy every time he saw it on you.
“Sorry. You know how Hyuga is,” you shook your head, tugging off your jacket. “A lot of people are gambling around this time of year, trying to win big before December finally gets here. It’s only going to get busier and he’s only going to get more demanding.”
Cobra did not like the fact that you worked for Daruma’s gambling hall, but you had known Hyuga long before you ever crossed paths with Sannoh. He had considered, on more than one occasion, asking you to quit working for him but he knew that you were, above all else, loyal.
“You don’t need to apologize.” He held his hand out and you smiled, setting yours against his own. “Just promise me you won’t gamble again.”
Your smile turned sheepish, a laugh passing your lips. You had only gambled once in your life after you had gone drinking with the Daruma babies one weekend. You were on a hot streak, actually, but you refused to quit while you were ahead and ended up losing everything.
You had started out with twenty bucks, turned it into ten thousand only to lose it all and walk away with just twenty cents to your name. The Four boys hadn’t done much better, either, and Hyuga was pissed when he found out. You were pretty sure he was just upset that you hadn’t blown it all at his gambling hall instead, honestly.
“I learned my lesson, I swear. I’ll never gamble again.”
He chuckled, nodding his head. “Good.”
It was pretty late by this point, so the boys slowly filed out of the diner until it was just you, Cobra and Naomi left. It was strange when the diner was quiet, but you didn’t hate it. Everyone needed a break from the rowdy Sannoh boys every now and again.
“Are you kidding me?” cried Naomi, sounding distressed.
You glanced over at her, seeing her begin to pace back and forth as she talked to someone on the phone.
“There must be some way… can’t you reschedule? Ah, no, I… yes, I understand… I’m sorry about that, but…” She pinched the bridge of her nose, clearly frustrated but trying to remain polite. “Yes… yes, I understand, Nakamoto-san. Good night.”
You exchanged a concerned look with your boyfriend before addressing her. “Everything alright, Nao?”
“No, not at all.” She ran a hand through her hair, continuing to pace.
Cobra leaned forward, brow furrowed in concern. “What is it?”
“You remember how I was asked to help provide snacks for the elementary school’s autumn festival, right?”
He nodded.
“The job was supposed to be split between me and Nakamoto-san, the head of the PTA but she just told me that something came up and she can’t help. There’s no way I can do it by myself! What am I going to do?”
You frowned, standing up to comfort her. “It’s alright, Nao. I’ll help.”
“You will?” She looked at you hopefully. “Are you sure? I know you’re really busy with Daruma…”
“Don’t worry, Hyuga owes me some vacation time anyway,” you grinned.
“Are you sure he’ll give it to you?”
“Nothing is ever a sure thing with him, but I’ll find a way to get out of work.” You gave her a reassuring look. “I’m not very experienced with baking, but I know how to follow a recipe. If you write down everything I need and how to make them, I’ll happily help.”
“Thank you so much!” She threw her arms around you, hugging you tightly which you returned without hesitation.
Cobra felt butterflies in his stomach as he watched you. You were willing to blow off your responsibilities with Hyuga to help Naomi, to help a member of his family. The amount of happiness that brought him was, quite frankly, embarrassing.
“I’ll help, too.”
Naomi looked between the two of you with glassy eyes. “Thank you both so much! I’ll get to work on the lists and recipes.” And then she disappeared into the back.
Cobra approached you with a warm smile, wrapping his arms around you. “Thank you for helping her. Let me know if Hyuga gives you a hard time.”
“I’m always happy to help your family, Jun.”
He hummed, brushing his lips against your own. “They’ll be your family, too, one day.”
You chuckled, looping your arms around his neck, fingers playing with the hair at his nape. “I don’t think so. I’ll always be Daruma and, well… we caused you guys a lot of trouble at one point. They may be willing to put up with me because of you, but I doubt they’ll ever view me as part of the family.”
His brow furrowed in concern. Had one of the Sannoh boys said something to you? Thinking about it, he hadn’t really discussed it with the others. You just started dating one day and he started to bring you around without asking how everyone felt about it. He knew Yamato didn’t trust you at first, but did he still feel that way?
You poked the spot between his brows. “If you keep frowning like that, you’re gonna get premature wrinkles.”
His lips formed your name but you cut him off, knowing what he was going to say.
“It’s really not a big deal, baby. I went into this relationship knowing that they most likely wouldn’t accept me and I honestly don’t blame them for it. As long as I get to be with you, that’s enough.” You tugged him closer until your lips met.
He didn’t hesitate to kiss you back, but his mind was partly elsewhere. It was enough for you, perhaps, but not for him. He wanted them to accept you, to love you like he did. He didn’t just want to be your boyfriend, he wanted to be your everything like you were to him.
Having his family accept you and love you was important to him.
“Okay, this should be everything.” Naomi returned with a small stack of papers, pausing when she saw how close the two of you were. “Am I… interrupting something?” The sly smile on her lips said that she already had her answer.
You laughed, pulling away from him. “We were just keeping each other company until you returned.”
“Sure,” she chuckled, handing you the stack. “I printed out the recipes for you. Each one has a full list of everything you’ll need to make them and if you have any questions, I’m just a phone call away.”
“Nice. When do they need to be made?”
“The festival is tomorrow afternoon,” she winced, running a hand through her hair. “We need to start working on them tonight if we want to make it in time… I’m sorry, I should have told you that first… it’s probably too short notice, right?”
“I’ll make it work and yes, I’m sure.”
“Thank you so much.”
“You’re welcome,” you replied, turning to look at Cobra and holding out your hand. “Up for some late-night shopping?”
“Sounds fun.” He slid his hand into your own, fingers lacing together.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
As soon as you returned home, you started to look over the recipes while Cobra put away anything perishable. None of them seemed too complicated so you felt confident that you could make them with little to no problem, especially with Cobra at your side.
“What are we making first?” He leaned on the counter beside you, peering at the recipes.
“What do you think?”
“We should probably choose whatever takes the longest to make so we can get it out of the way.” His eyes scanned through pages before tapping the one for the Sakura Mochi. “This is the longest, so let’s start with it.”
“Okay, let’s see. We’re supposed to soak the sweet rice for at least an hour and soak the sakura leaves for fifteen minutes.”
“Easy,” he grinned, grabbing two bowls and filling them with water. “We have to wait for them to soak, so which recipe is next?”
“Purin! We have to combine the sugar and water into a saucepan. Medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.”
Cobra did as you ordered without question, enjoying how domestic this all felt. He could definitely get used to this and was already making up excuses in his mind to get the two of you cooking together again.
For the rest of the night, the two of you worked together to bake the various treats requested by Naomi and you felt as if you were making pretty good time, all things considered. You did end up getting into a flour fight with Cobra because he kept trying to steal some of the finished treats, unable to fight his sweet tooth.
You were proud to say you had won that fight, though the messy kitchen was a reminder that you both had lost the war.
You yawned as you looked at the final two recipes, trying to decide which one you wanted to make. You had messaged Naomi about your progress and she told you that there were plenty of treats between the three of you. You should have gone to bed since it was nearly five in the morning, but you wanted to make one last thing first.
You hummed, thoughtfully. “Hey, Jun?”
“Yes, love?” He glanced over at you from where he sat on the couch, looking half-asleep.
You leaned on the counter, smiling at how cute he looked, even with bits of flour stuck to his blonde locks. “Would you rather have pumpkin spice cookies or cinnamon cookies?”
He thought about it for a moment, shifting to a more comfortable position. “I’ve never had pumpkin spice cookies before but I know you like them. I choose those.”
“What if you don’t like them?”
He hummed, closing his eyes. “I’ll like anything you make.”
“Such a hopeless romantic,” you teased softly, walking over to cover him with the blanket. You brushed the hair away from his face, fingers lingering on his cheek longer than necessary.
It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, though you really couldn’t blame him. All you wanted to do was sleep, as well, but you decided that making these cookies was more important. He had worked hard and, though he did attempt to swipe a few treats, he had mostly behaved.
Cobra was a man who loved sweets. More than anything, he wanted the sweets that you had made with your own hands because, to him, they tasted all the sweeter. You had honestly always wanted to bake for him, but you had just never gotten around to it for two reasons.
The first was because Hyuga kept you so busy that you rarely had the time or energy. The second, which was probably more important, was because you were afraid. Afraid that they would come out terrible and he would hate them, yet he would still force himself to eat them because he loved you.
You slapped both of your cheeks at the same time, shaking your head to wake yourself up. You were going to make these cookies for him and he was going to love them, not just because you made them yourself, but because they tasted amazing.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
Cobra woke up several hours later, the apartment still smelling like sugar, pumpkin and various other sweet flavors that made his mouth water. He expected you to be asleep in the bedroom but you weren’t. You had fallen asleep at the island, the other half of your body draped over the countertop, arms acting as a pillow.
All of the treats had been wrapped up or placed in containers, ready to be picked up by Naomi. He glanced at the clock. There were still a few hours left before she was due to arrive so he had time to clean up. Before doing that, however, he wanted to take you to the bedroom. That couldn’t be a comfortable position to sleep in, after all.
He brought you carefully into his arms and you shifted closer to his warmth, mumbling incoherently in your sleep about pumpkin sugar cubes and honey tea. With a chuckle, he placed you gently in bed, bringing the covers over you so you wouldn’t catch a cold.
“Sleep well, love,” he whispered, pressing a lingering kiss to your forehead. It took a while for him to get the mess cleaned up and he was sure he had missed some flour somewhere, but that was a problem for the future.
There was a knock on the door and he headed over to open it, drying his hands with a dish towel.
“Good morning,” greeted Naomi, looking tired but pleased.
“Morning.” He stepped aside to let her in. “We got everything done and ready to go.”
“Thank you so much for the help. You two really saved me.”
“Don’t mention it. We were happy to help. Do you want some coffee?”
“I wish I could stay for one, but I have to get these to the school.”
“Do you need help?”
“No, I’ve got it,” she smiled gratefully, packing away the containers into the reusable bag she had brought with her. When she picked up the final container, she paused, a smile coming to her lips. “Pretty sure this one is for you.”
His brow furrowed as he took the plastic container from her. An orange sticky note sat on the lid with his name written on it next to a cute little heart. When had you made these? He realized it must have been after he fell asleep and he couldn’t help but smile, warmth filling his chest.
“I’ll see you later,” said Naomi as she headed for the door. “Thank you again!”
“Be safe, Naomi.”
Once she was gone, he grabbed one of the cookies from its container, taking a small bite. It was his first time trying a pumpkin spice cookie so he was a bit weary at first, but the flavor exploded on his tongue. Maybe he was crazy, but he felt as if he could feel every ounce of love you had poured into them.
With a smile, he returned to the bedroom, sliding under the covers and pulling you into his arms. You didn’t hesitate to snuggle further into his chest, adoring the way he smelled and how warm his body was.
“What time is it?” you mumbled.
He glanced at the clock on the bedside table, brushing his fingers through your hair. “It’s almost nine.”
“Shit, Naomi will be here soon.” You tried to sit up but he tightened his grip, keeping you in place.
“I already passed them along to her. Go back to sleep.”
“You didn’t give her the cookies in the plastic container with the blue lid, did you?”
“No, love,” he answered softly, unable to hold back his smile. “You didn’t have to make them for me.”
“I wanted to. I hope they came out tasting good,” you muttered, looking up at him tiredly.
“They taste amazing.”
“Do you mean that or are you just saying that because I made them?”
“I mean it.” He cupped your cheek, leaning down to rub his nose against yours. The gesture was cute and sweet, but it left you feeling embarrassed. “Thank you for making them.”
“If you want… I can bake for you more often?”
“Please,” he replied quickly before clearing his throat, color rising to his cheeks. “I’d really like that.”
“Consider it done, then,” you laughed, snuggling closer to him and closing your eyes.

For You
Tumblr media
𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈(𝐬): Junpei "Cobra" Hino x Reader (ʏᴏᴜ/ʏᴏᴜʀ) 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: drabble; fluff 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: gender unspecified(?); term "maiden" used
Tumblr media
“And what are these for?”
You stare at him incredulously, the lingering scent of roses, baby’s breath, and marigolds wafting in the air around you. The priceless confusion and conflict in his expression made your attempts to hold your giggles fruitless.
“A gift, what else?”
“You sure it’s not an errand?” Cobra gave you a wary look. Shaking your head, you tapped his chest with the bouquet, urging him once more to take it.
With a sigh, he takes the bouquet without brushing your hand against his. Your heart leaped, watching his stoic features tracing over the petals and stalks. Nothing but the whistling winds occupied the sounds. Right, it was going to rain soon.
“Thanks,” he said. “You should go now, the weather won’t be kind tonight.”
You nodded, “say ‘hi’ to the gang for me.” You scrambled towards the way to your house. When you reached a corner, you pressed your back against the brick wall. You let out an ecstatic squeal, pumping your fist in pride; slightly kicking your feet. After months, you finally did it!
You quickly cupped your mouth, looking around the area before resuming your journey.
Meanwhile, Cobra entered ITOKAN, treading to his usual table. He placed the bouquet on the table, before grabbing a magazine from the side. While his rowdy gang hollered in laughter from Dan’s story, he couldn’t tear his attention away from the neatly-arranged beauty.
Cobra was observant. He noticed the fresh small scars and cuts that decorated your hands. How long did it take you to make this? How many days of trial and error did you do to ensure this was perfect? He petted the rose petal, soft and gentle like your hands from earlier, admiring its shape.
“Ahem.”
He shot his glance up, finding Naomi with his usual dish. Stuffing his hand in his pocket, he went back to his magazine. She placed the plate on his table, before crossing her arms. “And here I thought men were supposed to give flowers to the maidens,” she quipped, “better step up your game.”
“Shut up,” Cobra rolled his eyes.
Not a moment later, all it took was Yamato’s loud mouth to point out the flowers, before the entire diner went berserk.

Welcome to total drama persona. I’ve pit three teams of persona users (well, two teams of all persona users and one team that has a goddess but they needed an 8th member) against each other through the challenges of total drama island 2007 tosee who comes out on top. Since there’s three teams, i’m putting in AS’ spa hotel as a reward for the winning team, while the losing team has to vote someone off.
For our teams we have:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not So Happy Campers:
The three teams will first compete in a cliffdive competition. The team with the most divers gets carts that make bringing crates to base camp easier. There they’ll construct hot tubs from the parts in the crates. The team who has the best hot tub in Chris McLean(the host)’s opinion wins.
The cats win the carts, cause even Futaba would probably jump, given that she always goes directly with the thieves through all their dungeon crawling adventures. Given these are the Royal thieves, they’re all making huge leaps in palaces n stuff.
I also think that the bears are more likely to get all their members off the cliff cause Chie would just push everyone. I doubt Fuuka or Yukari’s jumping without any pressure though, meaning the dogs have more chicken hats.
The dogs would get their carts to camp before the bears cause they have more strong members. Also the bears have the least techsperience of anyone here, so their hot tub is easily the worst.
The cats win here not because of tech, cause fuuka is the most techsperienced person competing, but because Yusuke painted their hot tub, which Chris thought looked nice, meaning the cats get luxury tonight.
The bears have to vote someone off. They’re voting their bear.
Tumblr media
Marie survives because Teddie likely said something out of pocket (as he usually does). 7-1 vote, most likely.
The Big Sleep:
The first part doesn’t matter. The challenge is simple. Stay awake as long as possible. First team to be fully asleep loses. Last team to still have members/a member awake wins spa hotel.
Aigis is actually first to fall asleep, cause she’s on a 24 hour timer. Nobody else is, though Ken isn’t exactly far behind.
Between the cats and dogs i feel like being able to pull an all nighter in the metaverse is more impressive than any staying awake feats sees has. Sees has fuuka’s ten day stay in tartarus, but that was 10 hours for her. The thieves had at least twelve in Maruki’s palace. Tl;dr Dogs Lose.
The bears win against the cats though, cause goddesses don’t sleep. Tl;dr Marie sweep. IT get luxury.
Alliances formed. For the dogs: Yukari and Mitsuru formed an alliance. Fuuka and Junpei formed an alliance. Ken, akihiko and shinji formed one (we are assuming post femc still alive shinji).
For the bears: Chie and Yukiko (obviously). Kanji and Naoto (begrudgingly on Naoto’s part) and nobody else.
For the cats: Futaba and Yusuke (+Akechi, because Futaba’s scheming). Ann, Haru and Makoto formed one. Ryuji and Sumire just kinda paired up cause there’s nobody else willing to work with either.
Futaba tells Akechi to convince Ken to get the dogs to vote off Aigis. Akechi understands how that’d be advantageous and uses is best detective prince smile while speaking to Ken. Ken’s strong social position allows him to also get Fuuka and Junpei in on the vote.
Tumblr media
Meaning that in a (probably) 5-2-1 vote (idk who Aigis, Yukari and Mitsuru voted for tbh) Aigis goes home. If only she had a more durable battery.
Dodgebrawl:
The challenge is slightly different. The teams will be doing 7 v 7 games of dodgeball (One Cat sits out). Team with most wins gets luxury. Team with least wins votes someone off.
Initially Futaba sits out cause she sucks at physical activity. During the Dogs v Cats game however, Ryuji loses his footing because of his knee injury, costing the Cats the match. They make him sit out the next match.
First the dogs face the bears though. Easy win for the dogs. The bears have hard hitters like Chie and Kanji but it’s not enough.
The cats, now with futaba instead of Ryuji cause he’s injured, now face the bears. It’s tense. Chie and Kanji hit like trucks, but so do Makoto and Yusuke. Yosuke almost dodges everything, but a well timed Sexy Technique❤️ sacrifice play from Ann takes Yosuke out of the game. At that point, the Cats’ numbers advantage overwhelms Chie and Kanji.
Rise decides to work on an alliance with Yosuke. She also convinces Naoto and Kanji to help her with a vote against Marie (Rise doesn’t like Marie). Chie and Yukiko vote Rise with Marie (Chie and Marie don’t like Rise).
Tumblr media
4-3 vote sends the Bears’ goddess home despite the fact that she carried them last episode, all because Rise was a little annoyed by her.
Not Quite Famous
Talent show. Each team sends three acts. Each act gets judged. Team with the most points by the end wins, team with least points sends someone home.
The Dogs: Akihiko wants to punch something very hard hard and break it. Junpei plans to hold another Junpei’s Believe it or don’t. Finally they decide Shinji should cook.
The Bears: Kanji’s making a plushy. Rise’s singing and… idk Chie’s doing backflips or something.
The Cats: Yusuke’s painting, Ann’s modelling and Sumire’s doing a gymnastics routine.
While the performances are happening, Futaba gets to work on Ryuji. She convinces him that the girl’s alliance is planning to boot him. She suggests that he and Sumire vote for Ann tonight, should the cats lose, as Ann’s their weakest link. Ryuji agrees, mostly to save his own skin.
In an attempt to make herself useful, Yukari decides to sabotage one of the other performances, specifically Yusuke’s paint. As a result, the Cats have a rough start. Junpei’s believe it or don’t also doesn’t hit with the audience that well. Chie’s backflips are ironically the winner of the first round. Futaba saw Yukari sabotage the paint, since she planted the paint there in hopes someone’d try the sabotage.
Akihiko, Kanji and Ann all do pretty well. Ann’s Sexy Technique❤️ gets the cats their first points. The other teams are still ahead though.
Finally, Shinji’s cooking and Rise’s singing knock it out of the park. Sumire unfortunately messes up part of her routine. Rise got 1 point more than Shinji though, making the Bears this episode’s winner. The Cats lose, meaning they finally have to send their first person home.
Futaba talks to the girls alliance and tells them about Akechi talking to Ken and about Yukari sabotaging the Cats, insinuating that Akechi’s falling back on old habits and betraying his team. The girls agree to vote Akechi. Futaba also tells Yusuke and Akechi to vote Ann. Akechi’s getting a tad sus but plays his part for now. Futaba throws her own vote on Ryuji.
Tumblr media
4-3-1 vote, Ann goes home. Futaba mentions that she voted Akechi as intended. Akechi, noticing Futaba’s plan, claims to have voted Ryuji. Makoto and Haru are made to be suspicious of one another.

Children of the Moon: Cobra x Reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Cobra x fem!reader
Word Count: 1k
Genre: sickening fluff, slice of life, with a hint of smut if you squint your eyes.
Summary: You remember Aristophanes's origins of love on your date with Cobra. On your third date at the beach, you come to the realization that Hina Junpei is your missing other half.
Tagline: ..'And the children of the moon was like a fork shoved on a spoon; they were part sun, part earth, part daughter, part son..-"Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
A/N: feeling quite soft lately. Might do something similar with the other characters if I'm up for it.
***
A philosopher named Aristophanes spoke at Plato’s symposium one night where he described the human need to seek an ‘other half’. He said that there’d once been three sexes: the women who came from earth, the men who came from the sun, and the figure of both sexes who came from the moon. They looked rather funny, since they resembled two people stuck into one body with eight limbs and two faces on one skull. They walked backwards, forwards, and ran cartwheels. Being powerful beings, he said, they devised a plan to take on the gods in heaven. Having heard this, in response, Zeus used a thunderbolt to split the humans in two. This is where the concept of looking for one’s ‘other half’ came from.
It was this story that came to mind when you and Junpei sat beside the ocean that night. Your third date since meeting, you’d both taken a ride on his motorcycle to the seaside. The vast expanse of water glittering in the setting sun mesmerized you; it made for a glorious end of a nice day out. You shared a small picnic in the sand, his bike parked nearby, and watched the sunset together. Conversation and laughter flowed easily between the both of you; two people who normally remained quiet did not stop talking when together. Junpei, or Cobra as people called him, didn’t socialize as much as he once did; you’d never been the sociable type, being introverted and not very talkative. You both enjoyed the quiet from time to time; you sometimes spent time together in silence, reading and occasionally breaking the silence to speak. Nobody ever made you feel comfortable in quietness except Junpei. Sitting in the quiet with him brought on this soft, warm comfort you’d never experienced before.
Sitting on the blanket beside him, you looked away from the sun to look at him. The yellow and orange rays of light shined on his handsome face and in his golden hair. You saw the tranquility written on his face, the reflective contemplation he sometimes fell into in the silence. Yes, that is a face you wouldn’t mind sharing a head with. You pictured the two of you attached like the humans in Aristophanes’s story; the androgynous child of the moon, who was both man and woman together. You saw this strange figure sitting where you did, reading and talking as the sun set. You’d be both enjoying each other’s time when thunderbolts came down from the heavens like knives, severing you from Junpei forever. The creative person inside you painted an image of you and Junpei having just been separated, blood dripping from the horrific gash down your backs and tears falling from your cheeks in sobs. That realization that you’re forever parted would hit you both, and you’d sob for ages. You knew you’d be so upset by this unfair punishment that you’d continue searching for him, your other half, in defiance. You’d love and admire him over any god in the sky. Because, while you watched Junpei eat a grape as he leaned back, you knew this was your other half.
Your soulmate, even.
Your mother once told you that finding your soulmate is dangerous. When you asked her why, she said, “Because once your souls have found each other, they will never let go. No matter how many lifetimes you live, your souls will always remember finding one another.” Your soul was in such danger now. You’ve found Junpei, and you knew you’d never let him go.
He caught you staring, and a smile broke his face, “What?”
“Nothing,” you shook your head, giving an embarrassed laugh.
“Like what you see, huh?” he teased.
Junpei rarely teased anymore, from what Yamato told you. The tragedies he’d faced in life, the regrets he carried with him, dragged down the bright, playful person he’d once been. To see him smile and inch closer to you this way made you happy. You liked thinking you made him happy too. Happiness became such an alien feeling to both of you, you’re not sure when you’re truly feeling it. Yet, being alone in this beautiful place with Junpei, perhaps you felt it now.
He leaned over the small spread between you and pecked your lips. His kiss. Oh, you loved his kisses. You’d kissed other men before, and while you enjoyed them, Junpei’s kisses felt special. While they’re sometimes fueled with lustful passion, he could also kiss you with comforting whispers and sweet words. He kissed you with reassurances during uncertain times; he kissed you with gentleness after rough days. Even one taste of his lips felt like finding familiarity after decades of being deprived; as if you’re traveling in a foreign country and tasted food from home. You thought of other men you’d kissed, and you did not find yourself yearning for them like Junpei’s. Whenever you kissed, it simply felt right.
Yes, this child of the moon would search the entire universe for this man.
“I love you.”
The three words slipped from you subconsciously, filling the silence and remaining there between you. Once you realized you’d said them, you froze in worry. What if Junpei didn’t feel the same? What if he does not crave your love the way you do for his? What if he is not your other half, and you shouldn’t put so much thought into a silly story? For several seconds, neither of you spoke. Junpei’s smile disappeared and he surveyed your face. He searched for something, and you worried what realization he might find.
“You don’t feel the same,” you said softly, doing your best to keep back the lump in your throat. “It’s…It’s okay if you don’t. I didn’t mean to…It’s okay, but I had to tell you. If you don’t feel the same, I won’t bring it up ever again and we can go back to being whatever it is we are right now.” You’d ruined it. You’d ruined everything.
“YN…” he said your name so gently; his deep voice always sent shivers down your spine in these moments, “How could I not feel the same?”
“Huh?”
He sat up right, cupping your cheek and said, “You make me feel things I’d never felt with another woman before. Sure, I loved other girls in my life, but not like I do with you. With you, YN, it feels so much deeper and…and familiar? It feels like I’d loved you before I even met you. It’s like if we’d met once before a long time ago, and only just now I remembered that I loved you.”
“Like, you’d been waiting for me to turn up? To find me again?” you asked, hope in your voice.
“Yes,” he nodded. “Yeah, exactly like that.” He then said, “Whenever I’m with you, it doesn’t feel awkward or wrong in any way. It feels natural. It feels normal to me. It’s a good feeling. You make me feel like I can be myself again.” He kissed you again, a bit more deeply, “When I fight, I don’t just fight for Sannoh. I fight for you too. I’d fight anyone who tried to take you from me, who tried to hurt you. It’s like finding a thing you’d lost and never wanting to let it go again.”
Tears filled your eyes, and you sniffled. He pulled you into his lap, his warm arms wrapping around you and yours around him. “Junpei, I feel the exact same way,” you said, your forehead pressed to his, “Down to every single word.”
“I love you, YN,” he said, replying to your own three word statement.
You kissed him again, this time more passionately. The both of you stayed there in the sand, the sun lowering further and further as you shared words of love. You each bared your souls to one another as night crept over the skies above. The sun’s warmth faded in the arrival of the moon’s chill by the time you decided to leave. On the way home, you couldn’t help holding Junpei particularly tight. You held him as if you’re trying to stick yourselves back together, but that didn’t happen until you arrived at his place.
Where you shed off each other’s clothes and slipped into his bed Your naked flesh pressed against his, you both got as close to being shoved back together as you could. Junpei’s length filled you, and your legs went around his waist to keep him there. Complete euphoria and longing grew between the both of you. Nothing smutty or dirty happened. No hair pulling, biting or filthy words were exchanged. You did not release each other even when that blissful climax arrived, because being separated sounded foolish now. You both fell asleep in each other’s arms, as you’d meant to be.
As the mythical children of the moon once did.

A Burden (One They're Glad To Carry)
Summary:
“Maybe we should go back. We’re close, yes, but I don’t know if it’s worth the risk.”
Akihiko paused in fixing his gloves, gaze locking onto Makoto.
“I think we can do it. Let us try, leader.”
“I don’t like agreeing with ‘im,” Shinjiro slowly got up from where he sat, rolling his shoulders as he stood at full height, “but I think we got a good chance. Just ‘cause I’m a lil tired doesn’t mean I can’t fight. I know when to focus. If we come back we gotta go through all these god awful floors again.”
“Yuki-san, if they both believe we can do it, I do too. I trust you to call a tactical retreat, if we need it. I can keep fighting.” Which was only slightly a lie. Ken was getting tired from overusing his buffing skills, but if he focused on keeping back and shooting, Makoto would never know! Perfect plan!
As Makoto closed his eyes and thought, they all shuffled. Usually he was quick on decision making, he must really be unsure…
“Alright. We’ll try. But the moment anything goes wrong, we’re out of there.”
All three nodded in acknowledgement. Too bad none told the others they were gonna ignore that order.

Could you do 18. snowed in for Aki and her boyfriends? :)
This is several years too late, and also a completely different season! But as I was brainstorming this awhile back, I had a similar idea to have them train together. I eventually realized it made more sense in the summer! Apologies for changing the season, but I hope you like it all the same!
Beat The Heat
“Okay, I’m done. Just leave me here. I’m going to die.”
Niina leaned back onto a large tree next to the hiking path, gasping for air and grabbing his water bottle.
“It’s only been a half an hour,” Arashi responded flatly.
“Yeah, half an hour hiking in the summer! Who does that?”
“It’s a pretty popular activity.”
“Yeah! For old people maybe!” he continued to huff.
Why did he join Judo again? Oh right, because he was basically bullied into it. This whole athletic ‘if you’re not sore, it means that you’re not working hard enough’ mentality was not Niina’s style in the least. He would much rather be at home in the comfort of his air-conditioned bedroom, reading up on the latest fashion trends. Heck, even working at the combini was better than this.
“It’s good for endurance.”
“Dude, do I look like I’m built for endurance?” Niina said through gritted teeth.
“That’s the point. To build it.” Arashi responded, crossing his arms.
“Come on guys, don’t argue,” A redheaded girl with glasses walked up from behind them, a concerned frown on her face. Akiko-sempai. The one positive that was a part of this retched regimen.
“Save your oxygen. It’s only going to get warmer from here.”
Ugh, she was right, it was too hot to argue. “You know you don’t have to walk with us, sempai. You’re the manager after all.”
“But a good manager needs to know how the team is feeling!” she clenched her fist and furrowed her brows in a determined fashion, which honestly, made her look even cuter.
“That’s the spirit!” Arashi lifted his right hand in front of him, to which Akiko hit with her own high-five.
Niina couldn’t help but sigh. How these two managed their energy, he’ll never know, but he supposed it was endearing in a way. They always seemed to be on the same wavelength when it came to moments like this. Some folks would suspect that they rehearsed it beforehand, but he knew that that was just how these two were.
Still though… he wasn’t sure if their energy was contagious enough to motivate him. The young man tugged at the cap of his water bottle and took another incredibly long gulp.
“Arashi-kun, if you want to go ahead, we can catch up. I bet you can even lap us twice if you wanted.” Akiko finally said in a chipper voice.
“Hmm…” Arashi furrowed his brows, clearly not into the idea.
Clearly not one to give up either, the redhead went on the tip of her toes and ruffled his hair playfully.
Niina cracked open one of his blue eyes as he continued to drink. She always seemed a bit touchy-feely with him, a poke of his cheek here, a tug at his uniform sleeve there… he never seemed to mind, though. Maybe he was used to it because judo is so heavy in contact. But he also wondered if there was something more between them at times.
Sigh… it must be nice hanging out with Akiko-sempai like that. He always thought she was a real cutie, right when he first saw her shopping and tried to pick her up. If he was being truthful, maybe that was the real reason why he hadn’t quit the club yet.
“Fine.” Arashi finally relented with a sigh, his face slightly pink, but Niina suspected it wasn’t because of the heat. “But you two still have to make it up to the top. Watch your step.”
“Roger that,” the young kohai jokingly did a salute with two of his fingers.
The star athlete stretched out his legs before setting off to jog. It wasn’t before long before he disappeared up the dirt path, leaving his clubmates to themselves. If they weren’t forced to do the same trek, it would be impressive to watch Arashi.
“Okay two more minutes and then we gotta go too,” Akiko pressed a button on her timer.
“Jeeze, you’re really diligent aren’t you?” Niina let out a sigh, but a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “I can see why Arashi wanted you to be the club manager,”
The redhead took a triumphant pose, her face still beaming, despite some clear signs of exhaustion under her eyes. “Of course! I was a bit surprised at first, but Arashi’s enthusiasm is contagious. I want to support him the best that I can,”
As expected, he couldn’t help but think. This just supported his ‘sempais are dating’ theory. While he didn’t love the idea of this being possible, it certainly made sense. As he thought before, they both had similar energy, and there was no way that someone would work this hard to support someone else’s endeavours if they didn’t, at the very least, have a crush on them.
You know, for the same crazy reason that someone may give in to being bullied to join a club.
“Come on now, Niina-kun! Let’s get going!” Akiko finally said before making an about-face. “We don’t want to lag too far behind!”
So much for keeping it slow. “Okay, but you might want to be careful. You don’t want to-”
Before Niina could finish his sentence, Akiko sudden burst of energy did not keep up with what her body was telling her, which was to still take it slow. Just as she was about to start running, she didn’t take note of the two slippery rocks in front of her. Before he knew it, she managed to wedge her foot between the two of them and stumble face-first into the dirt ground.
“Aki-sempai!” he nimbly hopped over a few branches and knelt beside her. “Are you okay?”
“Oww…” she mumbled, slowly pushing herself to her knees. Her face was smudged with dirt but with a bit of bruising, but thankfully no blood. Her glasses, however, had seen better days. They were bent to the side, with a crack on the left lens.
“Oh no…”
“Careful not to reach, I think your foot is still stuck. Slowly back up, and we should be able to get it out,”
Niina then carefully placed his hands on her ankle and navigated it away from the stones. She could see her wincing but at least it wasn’t completely locked in there. Once they got her foot out, he quickly reached over the other way and grabbed her now broken glasses.
“Thanks…” she sniffled.
“Can you walk?” there was an alarmed tone in his voice, something that was unusual for the junior. While he knew the injuries weren’t terribly serious, it didn’t help that they were still on a mountain.
“I definitely can’t go up in this,” Akiko sighed, clearly frustrated. “Arashi is gonna be so disappointed,”
“I doubt it. He’d be more worried if you tried to push yourself on your ankle. Plus, it’s not like you can see much now,” looks like there were no other options.
He then scooched to the front and continued to kneel. “Hands over my shoulders and I’ll try to be careful lifting your legs,”
The redhead’s eyes widened, surprised at the offer. “Are you sure? I know climbing this hasn’t been the easiest,”
“Well, I’m not gonna leave you here alone that’s for sure. Besides, going down is easier than going up,” he was just grateful he was smart enough to wear some shoes with a grip.
There was some hesitation, but eventually, Akiko did as he asked and wrapped her arms around his neck and lifted her legs a bit higher towards his hips. Niina then hooked her legs under his arms and slowly stood up.
“There we go. Not too bad at all! Now let’s getcha off this stupid mountain.”
Carrying her certainly made the heat even more unbearable, but thankfully, she wasn’t too difficult to carry. As long as he kept a slow pace, he could manage this.
“Judo is paying off. I didn’t think you could carry me,” Akiko said, leaning her head against his shoulder as he finally found a comfortable rhythm.
“Hmmm… I think I could have carried you anyway, but I guess the extra training has helped.”
“You might be leaner than Arashi-kun, but I could tell you have put on a bit of muscle,”
“Oh, have you been watching me sempai? Undressing me with your eyes?” he teased.
“You know what I mean,” she laughed. “You do look good though. Kind of mature in a way.”
Niina could feel his cheeks redden at the compliment. With her lips close to his ear and her chest pushed up against his back, it was hard not to think about how close Akiko was now. It reminded him of one of their earlier moments together. At the time, he just thought of her as a cute girl that he would ultimately never see again.
Ughhh, now he really hoped that Arashi and her weren’t dating. But now he could totally get how his judo-sempai felt after the hair ruffle. Akiko-sempai wasn’t just cute. She just always seemed to know what to say at the right time, and you knew that she meant it. That’s why he knew that as much as he complained and belly-ached about joining judo, he would never quit.
“Well, uh. You’re… not too bad yourself,” he coughed. It was one of the rare times that he was at a loss for words.
***
It took a bit more time than anticipated, but the two eventually made it back down to the entrance of the mountain trail.
“Finally!” they both said in unison before Niina eventually placed her on the seating of one of the nearby picnic tables.
“Thank you so much again,” Akiko said, squeezing his hand. “You’re my hero!”
Niina could feel a goofy smile appear on his face at the compliment. “Well, you know, like I said, I couldn’t just leave you there. A cute girl in the woods? No way! But you know, if you’re offering a reward, I could think of a few things…”
“Is that so?” a rougher, familiar voice said behind him. He slowly turned and sure enough, there was Arashi. How long had he been standing there? Also dangit, he must have been way faster than Niina realized if he already made it back down!
The brunette gulped. Oh man, he was going to get it now. He might as well say goodbye to the best of his high school years. It was nice while they lasted.
“Ahahaha, it’s a joke! Totally not what you think! Aki-sempai twisted her ankle and I had to carry her down and-”
He felt Arashi’s strong right hand on his shoulder. Here it comes. It was the end…
Or so he thought. Instead, of being flung into the air like a ragdoll, he just felt a firm grip of assurance. He cracked open one of his blue eyes and saw a proud toothy grin across his judo sempai’s face.
“Great idea! Not only did you bring Akiko-san back to safety, but you showed some impressive endurance training carrying her all the way down,” the older boy responded.
“I… guess it was,” he actually hadn’t thought if it that way, but that sounds exactly like the conclusion Arashi would draw in a situation like this.
“Makes me kind of jealous that I didn’t think of it first.” The light-haired boy continued wistfully, crossing his arm, clearly envious that he missed out on an impromptu training opportunity.
Akiko then lifted her hand, as though she was a student ready to share her answer.
“Oh! I have an idea! Arashi-sempai, what if you carry Niina-kun on your back? I bet that would give you even more weight endurance!”
“Wait-WHAT?”
“Nice idea! I still have the energy for it- Aki, are you okay waiting for one more round?”
“Sure! I could even time it!”
“W-w-wait! Shouldn’t we take you home and ice your ankle first?”
“Now that I’m sitting, I’m totally fine! It shouldn’t take that long if Arashi-san is doing it.”
“It’s settled then! Okay, Niina, are you ready? 3-2-1-”
“NOOO!”

How I imagine the group dynamic be like in the beginning.
It’ll be just Nanako and Nobara dishing it out as poor Junpei is caught in the middle! And Mai regrets teaming up with them! XD
For explanations about the group, read this. For explanations for Junpei’s stitches, then read this. And read the rest of their jjk fanfics while you at it too. It’s really good, I promise!

Something set a few days after the end of persona 3. I know that the answer probably contradicts it but I haven’t played it so I don’t know what happens. I just realised how much Junpei would be able to relate to Aigis and had to write stuff down.
As Junpei left his room, he saw, out of the corner of his eye, a door, slightly ajar. His door. Wasn’t it locked now?
As he entered the now empty room, he saw Aigis squatting next to the stripped bed. Staring directly where one’s head would lie.
“C’mon, Aigis.” He sighed. “Yukari told you you’ve got to charge overnight.”
The robot didn’t even flinch.
Sighing again, he walked into the room and plopped himself onto the far side of the bed.
“Y’know, one time he forgot to plug his headphones in, and blasted his music so loud I could hear it from across the hall. Thinking back - he didn’t have bad taste, heh..”
Silence.
“Hey, look. I know you were… closer to him than the rest of us. And, you’re probably telling yourself that no one could understand, but… we all miss him, so - don’t think you’re alone.”
He looked back at Aigis and noticed the headphones crudely placed over Aigis’… ears? Was she wearing two sets of headphones now? What were those things anyway? Whatever he called them, she probably wouldn’t hear.
“I know how you feel, though. Chidori gave her life so that I could live on. How messed up’s that? I would’ve done the same for her, so why’d she get the last laugh? Then, after a while, I realised something. She wasn’t gone, she was still living in me, through my memories and experiences. In a way, she found a way to cheat death. Lucky, huh? Heh…”
He got up and started to head for the door.
“Although you can’t see him, Makoto is still with you. He lives on, in you. He sacrificed himself to keep your smile alive… and I hope we get to see it again one day.”
“Junpei-san!”
He whipped his head round to see her standing up next to the bed, staring directly at him. Her hair rustled against her face from the wind from the open window. The headphones had fallen around her neck, mp3 player dangling against her chest. For a second he thought he caught a glimpse of-
“Thank you,” The girl smiled a weak smile. He knew that smile, the effort it took to raise the corners of your mouth just enough to tell others that you’ll be okay. But it was enough. “I hope that I can see you smile again too.”
He smiled a weak smile.
“Seriously though, if Yukari finds you here she’ll lose it. Don’t tell her I left you here.”
As he escaped, Aigis made her way to the open window. Leaning against the windowsill, she looked up at the moon, visible despite the morning sun.
“Still with me, huh…”
