Yeah, Hanako canonically flirts a lot with Nene, but that's because she's a GIRL - he wouldn't flirt relentlessly with Kou too

Y'all only focus on the fact Hanako's 13 and forget he was born in 1955, not in 2002. He 100% has a shit ton of internalized homophobia and it'd be SO FUNNY to see Hanako just panicking and chanting "girls girls girls girls girls girls" and "boys don't like boys boys don't like boys" over and over because he realized his bro's kinda pretty

Since we saw that when he doesn't know how to react when he's flustered and acts like a little asshole, mocking something he knows the one he's into is insecure about but he finds attractive, he'd probably comment on how Kou is like a housewife, even tho he surely loves Kou's cooking (I have this little ship headcanon where Kou makes Hanako donuts but brushes it off as "yea I made some for my sister and these are the leftovers,,,,," but Hanako knows they were made for him because he's not that stupid) and probably even admires how much effort he puts into taking care of his little sister and big brother

You know what take I feel like lot of people agree with I really don’t? That Akanes just some silly little loser that some how managed to pull the two most popular kids in school and that all the other students would be shocked.

Like he’s the student vice president he’s also super popular… plus we always see the background characters being friends and saying he’s nice. (Plus there was that one valentines event were Akane simps made him in universe get more confessions than Teru)
