In what seems like an instant, life on earth booms with diversity. So many new animal groups, some of them still alive today. This is known as the Cambrian Explosion, kicking off the Cambrian period, the Paleozoic era, and the Phanerozoic eon, around 540 million years ago. Scientists still aren't entirely sure what caused this "explosion", but one thing's for certain. Life found a way.
Evolution would kick into overdrive from here on out, but we will be slowing down to take a closer look at the flora and fauna of this period. Stay tuned!!

Lanes Of My Childhood
Nostalgia hit hard revisiting my childhood home. The swing, the laughter—it all rushed back. Life's chaotic, beautiful journey captured in memories. 💖 #NostalgiaTrip 🏡
The city was the same, yet different. As I stood in front of my childhood apartment, an awkward nostalgia washed over me, carrying me back to a time when the lanes were longer, the feet were smaller, and the world was a playground of endless possibilities. A few days ago, I had the privilege of revisiting the place that held the secrets of my growing years. Entering the apartment felt like…

Late afternoon light, a fateless summer, hitting the painted wall, glazing over an unremarked time.
Words of another era facing the person I have become, unwilling to come back to a place filled with unspoken truths.
Spiderwebs anchored in some badly lit corner are catching long-lost dreams while decade-old clothes bruise my sense of self.

This famous black-and-white photograph taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt captures the euphoric moment in Times Square, New York City, on August 14, 1945, when Japan announced its surrender, ending World War II. The photograph shows a U.S. Navy sailor passionately kissing a young woman in a white dress, symbolizing the relief and joy felt by Americans at the war's end.

Reflecting and Returning
I have not been on Tumblr since creating this account back in middle school somewhere around 10 years ago. Taylor Swift consumes many of my waking thoughts—her music, the Eras Tour content that perpetually exists on my social media, her continuous commitment to fighting for what is good and right in the world, and most recently, how this love I have for this remarkable woman has grown.
I have revived my seldom used Tumblr from the early 2010s because I believe this is the best place for me to exercise some creative freedom to express the emotions I have for Taylor and those brought to the surface by her music. I have never once met Taylor Swift, but I share a deep connection with her music—music that has truthfully helped to raise me to become the woman I am today.
Anything I write, I write for myself. If someone out there is this world can gain something from this journey, well that will just be a beautiful bonus courtesy of the internet.

VIDEO/REVIEW: Tim's Vinyl Confessions: Ep. 424: Neal Schon - Journey (Through Time)
At 45 minutes long, this is one of the best Tim’s Vinyl Confessions I’ve ever participated in. You can really pick up on our love of Journey, and perhaps our disappointment in recent events since their last album. Fortunately, Neal Schon heard us. Enjoy this episode!

Anomalocaris (abnormal shrimp) was another member of the Radiodont clade, and possibly one of the most iconic animals from the Cambrian. Anomalocaris lived 520-499 million years ago, and measured about 38cm or 1.25ft in length. Making it a massive predator in its time.
Until recently, Anomalocaris was believed to have fed on trilobites, using its front appendages to crush their hard shells, but after recent studies we have concluded that Anomalocaris would not have had the strength to crush trilobites and rather that it fed on more soft bodied animals like worms.

AIGHT! First batch of concept vibes for the Siffrin!Housemaiden AU, lets go people!! If you want the messy and very stream-of-conscious lore details, look under the cut! keep reading!
K. SO! Siffrin becoming a housemaiden was not a straight line, nor was it a road paved with good intentions and desires to change. It was mostly accidental, tripping into one House of Change after another, bumbling around and being a silly kid with a big hat and a bigger hole were their memory should be, until they wound up at Dormont's House of Change a few years after they forgot everything! Cue the Head Housemaiden taking one look at that adorable sap and deciding he sparked joy, for reasons mysterious to everybody who wasn't in the know. (which was basically everybody, including herself) Mira and Sif first met in a classroom setting. And they were sparring partners whenever Mirabelle took fighting or Craft classes at the House. To say they were friends is a bit of an overstatement, but if you can tease and annoy someone and they still choose to spend time with you, Siffrin assumed it meant something special! Mirabelle assumed it meant something was wrong with him, or her, or maybe both of them at the same time, but when Siffrin was the only person to escape the House when the King attacked she of course grabbed her weapon before Siffrin had even finished explaining what he was about to do. *handwaves Researcher!Isabeau and Traveler!Bonnie* I don't have time for them tonight. But they're a thing! I'll get to them later. Probably.

Creamthing d'or passant reguardant, by a sheaf of arrows percée ...and Montjoy also.
[creamthing is the creation of the inimitable @samsketchbook; despite this choice of adjective, I have nonetheless tried my best at a little heraldic creamthing]
