PART TWO!!!!
Moving on to the other Packers who would be in this film...
But first, before that, a bit of background:
In 80 for Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola were all indeed in it!!
Their parts were small overall but still made a difference to the plot. (:
It was great to see them play their roles and I fully believe that the Packers you have mentioned could easily find their own roles as themselves just as Rob, Julian, and Danny did.
So without further ado!!:
Bakh, for those who might not know, is David Bakhtiari. ⬇️
He is the Packers offensive tackle.
I highly recommend looking up other pictures of David; this man seems to be extremely entertaining and perfect for what the overall vibes of what this movie would be. (Also, yes, he absolutely would be making 69 jokes the entire time; especially because that's his actual jersey number!!)
Meanwhile, Cobb is Randall Cobb. ⬇️
Randall is a Packers wide receiver.
He doesn't take himself to seriously and yeah, would also blend in seamlessly with the rest of the cast!!
I'd also like to add wide receiver Jordy Nelson to the cast. ⬇️
I know that Jordy is retired now, but he's still a Packers icon and I think that he definitely deserves to have a small role in this movie as well. 😊
Last but not least, I'm gonna expand upon your "everybody gets COVID" ending!!
So they all eventually do make it to the game and see Aaron win.
Before that though, each of them individually run into Martin Kove's cop character.
When the first character out of the Dodgers sees Kove, they are shocked and a little frightened, even though they all know that he's coming for them and are of course wearing hilarious disguises.
Eventually, as each one runs into him, they all get a big kick out of talking to him without him knowing about who they actually are.
After the game is finished, they are able to leave the stadium without getting caught, but right when they are getting ready to drive off, Martin finally recognizes them and tries to stop them.
Luckily, it's right then that they randomly see Matt LeFleur (Green Bay's head coach!!) and are able to convince him they are with him.
(Matt!! ⬇️)
Martin is like, "Ummm...sure, ok, I highly doubt this, but whatever. I am gonna come back for all of you though!"
He storms away and they thank Matt for having their backs even though he doesn't know them at all. 🤭
They continue on their journey, now getting ready to go back to Canada, but make a top at a little restaurant before going back to the hotel.
They're sitting around, eating and reminiscing about how it's unfortunate that they didn't get to meet Aaron.
Just then though, the restaurant door opens and who should walk in but the man himself. 😎
He's all alone and after the waiter/waitress takes his drink order, they all dare each other to go up to him. Jeff Bridges character is the one who does, and they have a nice little conversation before Jeff invites the rest of the gang over to chat and get pictures with Aaron.
A week later, everyone is on video chat talking to each other virtually instead of in person because they all caught COVID from Aaron. ("It was worth it though!" They all agree.)
The final scene is a call back to something that happened in the first act when we were getting to know everybody; something goofy but still "awweeeee!!!" worthy. (:
Martin Kove also gets some kind of last shot in there too! 😅🕵🏻♂️
Last but not least, there's a post-credit scene of Aaron with Matt in a smoke-filled room, surrounded by lots of other handsome men (other footballers but also random hot men as well 😏😉😌). They have a short back-and-forth before enjoying a little kiss with each other. 🥰
And that's the end!!
THAT'S Draft Dodgers for Rodgers!!!!
WHEW!!!
In conclusion of my very long answer, I just wanna say that I had the best time imagining and working through all of this, Anon!!!!
I'm not sure what inspired you to bring this idea to me, but I'm super thrilled that you did!!!!! 🤩🔥💯💥
Thank you for being patient and waiting on me to reply to you!!
I knew that I was eventually gonna answer you, but as mentioned above, just needed a little time to gather the additional information and pictures that you see here. 😊
This is all-around a super fun idea!! 💖
Thanks again for sharing it with me and major Kudos to you for thinking it up in the first place!!!!!
I feel like a spiritual sequel to “80 for Brady” would be “Draft Dodgers for Rodgers” in which 4 ancient hippies from the Vietnam era (Steve Buscemi, Geoffrey Rush, Al Pacino, John Goodman) sneak across the border from Canada in an attempt to watch fellow hippie Aaron Rodgers get to his second Super Bowl at age 54. Martin Kove plays a hard nosed yet incompetent cop trying to catch them. Bakh and Cobb are there too. Christopher Walken makes an appearance because it’s that kind of movie. There’s at least 1 extended ayahuasca hallucination scene. Everybody ends up getting covid
Alright, anon, here I am, ✨FINALLY✨ publishing your amazing and funny idea!!!
It took me a minute (ok, a few days...👀🤭😜💓) because I wanted to find clips and pictures for all of everything you have describe. 😊🌟💯🔥
First and foremost, I would so go see this movie if it were real. (For context, I saw 80 for Brady the weekend it was released because of course I did 😅💞)
This idea overall sounds silly, entertaining a.f. and all around like a good time!!
To add onto your idea:
It would at least have to be rated PG-13, especially because of the ayahuasca hallucination scene. I also suspect that there will be a bit of swearing, heavy partying and drinking, too. PLUS not to mention that they are on the run from the law and that will provide a whole 'nother set of mischievous/dubious acts. 😏😉😝
Real quick, for those who might not know, this is what Google says the definition of "ayahuasca" is:
"A South American psychoactive and entheogenic brewed drink traditionally used both socially and as a ceremonial or shamanic spiritual medicine among the indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin, and more recently in North America and Europe."
(In other words, hippie tea 😅☮️🫖🍵)
Now, as for who's gonna direct this amazing monstrosity, I have pulled together three options.
There's Kyle Marvin, who directed 80 for Brady.
Then I have Peter Segal, who directed two of my personal favorites, Tommy Boy and 50 First Dates.
Last but not least, there's Dennie Gordon as an option. Dennie was the director of the first Joe Dirt movie (comedy writer Fred Wolf directed the second).
Either one of these three would be wonderful and would understand that there is a more deeper heart and soul in the middle of this otherwise goofy flick. (:
Next:
Anon, you and I seem to understand each other, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that we can be co-screenwriters and executive producers for this!!!
If we really were out to make this, that is. 🤭😊🤓
ALSO!!! Draft Dodgers for Rodgers is an EXCELLENT title; I love it a lot and am really proud of you for coming up with this title (and the idea in general, of course!!)!!
Now, before moving on to everything else, I must discuss this film's soundtrack.
Clearly there's gonna be a lot of classic rock and older country tunes because that's the era that these men are from.
The classic rock is not gonna be anything too rough/screamy/meataly, though...I'm primarily thinking about stuff from the mid 60's and most of the 70's. Cover songs from and during this era are absolutely acceptable. 😌
Also, because this is an Aaron Rodgers movie, there has got to be a few Taylor Swift songs mixed in as well!!
I don't know if he can, but Aaron can try to pick put his top three tracks from each album/era as songs to possibly put into the overall end product.
And you know what, while we're at it...
Dolly Parton recorded a new, original song specifically for 80 for Brady so whose to say that Taylor couldn't do the same for this movie?!
Her fans, Aaron included, would be very likely to love it, no matter what it sounds like. (:
Now, to address all of your points...!!
I'd like to take a moment to share the other ask you sent me after I wrote this (the first post, hehe).
Replacing Geoffrey Rush with Jeff Bridges was a really great call; I'm so glad that you remembered Aaron's obsession with The Big Lebowski and the exact sweater that he copied from that movie!!! For everyone's viewing pleasure, here is Aaron wearing said sweater next to a still of Jeff's character (named The Dude) wearing the sweater.
Also, I wouldn't be me if I didn't find pictures of the rest of this hypothetical cast, just so that everyone knows for sure what these guys look like.
Top Left: Jeff Bridges
Top Right: Al Pacino
Middle Left: Steve Buscemi
Middle Middle: John Goodman
Middle Right: Martin Kove
Bottom Left: Christopher Walken
(And yes, that is a picture of Geoffrey Rush (bottom right) because even though Jeff Bridges replaced him, people still deserve to know he looks like in case they don't!!)
Additionally, saying that Weird Al should perform his Jeopardy Song was brilliant!! Fans of Aaron know that he loves Jeopardy and even got the chance to participate in some game, as seen here and here. (He also had the opportunity to host once, but the only clip that I could find of that was this. 😩)
P.S.-Here is the Jeopardy song for those who don't know it 🙂: https://youtu.be/BvUZijEuNDQ
THIS IS PART ONE!!!
I'm gonna reblog for Part Two because I have a few more pictures to share but for some reason, Tumblr won't let me add any more photos to this current post. 😒🙄☹️

Lynd stepped up before she finished talking, tugging the brim of his ballcap backwards. “Ready and eager,” he said. He turned and looked at them. “I’ll be at full health the next time you see me; the Ward won’t reject me any longer.” He looked more confident than Melanie had ever seen him, like he’d absorbed some of Jordy’s chest-thumping attitude by proxy. Melanie had only seen this process partially completed, with Randall, and was eager to watch the non-deadly version. As Lynd walked, his pace slowed, like he was immersed underwater and pushing through it. He got smaller, too—no, not quite. He got farther away. He was in place, yet leaving them behind. In physics class this very week, Mr. Edgley said that even space itself wasn’t fixed; that things like distance and size were only relative to the observer. She couldn’t wrap her head around it then, but now, it all made sense. The bractoscope pulled at him, little tendrils of light drawing him in. But they were welcoming, not tearing and cutting. Soon, like the doorway itself, only the ghost of him was visible, the impression, and then even that faded. Tabby shuddered. “Holy shit, I can feel him. Not like, in my head, but…God, I can’t describe it. Sorry, no moving, right.” “Told ya you’ll know,” Jordy said. “Alright, Anthony, I know you been waitin’ for this.” Anthony rubbed his hands together and grinned. “Prepare for entry. All systems go.” He saluted them each individually. “Lt. Commander Bonifacio, Cadet Connolly, Cadet Kitz…godspeed.” He passed through, disappearing in the same way. “Wow,” Melanie said. “He never turns it off, does he?” “‘Turn it off’ would suggest there’s somethin’ else underneath,” Jordy chuckled. “But he knows what he’s doin’. I think the goofy nerd stuff helps. Like if he never acts normal, he’s not scared when it gets weird, y’know? Some peeps were just built for this shit.” In a normal high school, guys like Jordy and Anthony would never learn each other’s names, let alone be friends and equals. In fact, it seemed unlikely that any of the seven of them would have crossed paths in a more mundane life. Maybe that’s what her mom meant by magic saving people. She looked at Jordy, who smiled warmly. “Go ahead,” he said. “It won’t hurt.” As she approached the mirror, she realized that the cheerleader had it wrong; she didn’t think she was too good for Jordy, not by a long shot. She had thought he was too good for her. But, like so much else she had thought, it was spiraling apart from her, just like her sense of space and motion spiraled away into a brilliant blue light.
Next time, Melanie promised, I’ll pay attention. Even with her new friends, it likely wasn’t every day she’d step into a different reality. Maybe it was like a roller coaster, or a waterslide; she could remember the trepidation of getting on, feeling that first tug of gravity. She could remember popping out the other end, laughing and wondering what there was to fear. But the descent itself was just a haze of blind sensation. Because now, without even realizing it, she was inside the Viabract. It looked something like a waterslide itself; an endless, twisting tube. The scope had not prepared her for the sheer size of the tunnel, its convex walls surrendering to pure darkness halfway to the ceiling—if there even was one. The material she stood on was luminescent, but she could only see a few dozen feet ahead: the glow was dim, emanating from the twisting shapes beneath her feet, shapes that looked at once made of clay, of tree root, of walkable glasswork, of solid light, compressed into fractious jewels. She felt like an ant, smaller than a single eyelash, crawling through an impossibly large plant. She didn’t know it was possible to feel so small. Lynd approached and offered a fist bump, wiggling his fingers after they connected. “Tabby taught me that one,” he said. “What do you think?” “I like it,” she laughed. “Wow…you seem so different.” He smiled bashfully. “Yes, I can’t thank her enough. I’ve got a long way to go, but I feel like…a part of this world now. Not just an outside observer.” And how do you feel about Tabby? Melanie thought. Can you tell she’s in love with you? She had no idea what Marksteppers thought of romance, or if they had any to speak of. Anthony was expecting some kind of axe-swinging barbarian, which wasn’t promising. Despite wanting to pose as a high school student, Lynd was a warrior at heart. Would he stand by Tabby now that he got what he wanted? If the violence got worse, would he keep her safe? Anthony’s face was stony, the strange light bouncing off his glasses and hiding his eyes. “They watch,” he whispered, gesturing to the walls. Little patches of slime crawled slowly out of the uncountable nooks and gaps, falling to the ground with echoing plops. They looked even more primitive than the first ones she’d seen; not even vaguely resembling animals, except maybe amoebas. But even with no eyes or head or face, they were indeed watching. Waiting. A shiver of energy from behind announced Jordy’s presence. When Melanie turned, there was no opening, no light, not even a shimmer of a way back. Only forward. But she still knew—felt—the opening on the other end. Just keep walking north. Or whatever ‘north’ was in here. She kept her voice steady. “Alright, Jordy, what did you say about scaring them off?” Jordy flipped his bat in the air and caught it by the thick end. “Check this,” he said. He pulled his necklace over his head. It was a simple black string with a shark tooth at the end; as close as a jock could get to ‘jewelry’. Melanie hadn’t paid it any mind before, but now Jordy untied the tooth and jammed it into the top of the bat. Melanie stumbled and fell backwards as a wave of energy hit her. Jordy’s bat had transformed in a flash of light, looking like some monstrous prehistoric cudgel. Hooks and ridges, knobs and thorns, spilled out from every inch, all looking more like bone or rock than wood. And at the top was a bayonet-like blade, a foot long at least, jutting out at a ninety-degree angle. The bat was as thick as his thigh now, and twice as long. “Like it? I call it the Grand Slam,” he said. “Wish I could use it in a game, but Coach won’t let me.” He swaggered over a few feet as the other boys helped Melanie up. “These Mires are running on pure instinct. We don’t gotta outrun ‘em or outthink ‘em, just scare ‘em off.” He got into a batting stance, took a few light half-swings, then reared back and swung with all his might. Another wave of energy burst forth, in the opposite direction, but still powerful enough to feel. It hit the wall with a deep echoing BOOM, which bounced all around them, shaking Melanie deep in her bones, and then scattered throughout the void. The Mires vanished, surely and quickly as mice who smelled a cat. A few unlucky ones took a direct hit and exploded into mist, their candy-colored juices decorating the walls. “Alright,” Jordy said. “I think they got the message.”

[ad_1] New York Jets wide receiver Randall Cobb (18) during the New York Jets Training Camp at Atlantic Health Jets Training Center / Vincent Carchietta - USA TODAY SportsBefore and after trading for quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason, Joe Douglas and the Jets did everything they could to add some familiar faces on offense for the future Hall of Famer.Among those additions was veteran wide receiver Randall Cobb. The duo spent ten seasons together tearing apart defenses in Green Bay. With bigger targets such as Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and Donald Driver on the outside, Cobb was a reliable and steady presence for Rodgers out of the slot.Cobb accumulated 470 receptions for 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns over his first eight seasons with the club. He went his own way for two years in 2019, spending time with Dallas and Houston, but the two were reunited again over the last two seasons. Now heading into his 14th year in the league, Cobb and Rodgers are back together again, this time in New York. The receiver, who has battled his fair-share of injuries over the years is feeling good and he's ready to help Gang Green in anyway.“As long as I’m healthy I’ve been out there and been able to produce,” Cobb said. “It’s just about staying healthy and doing everything I can to make sure my body’s healthy for 17+ games.”One of the aspects he’s been bringing to the Jets’ receiver room is his comfort and familiarity of Rodgers and OC Nathaniel Hackett’s system. As the elder statesmen, Cobb says he’s ready to continue being that veteran presence for the rest of the guys.“I was very fortunate when I walked into the NFL I had a bunch of guys that taught me. They took me under their wings and taught me what it was like to be a professional by the way that they came to work everyday, carried themselves, and the things they did off the field,” he said.“My job throughout my career as I’ve stepped into more of a leadership role was to pass that along. Because at the end of the day it’s not all about me, it’s about the betterment of this team and doing everything I can to get us to that next level.”Head coach Robert Saleh had nothing but praise for how his new receiver has filled that role.“He’s a stud man, he’s far beyond exceeded any expectation I could’ve dreamed of,” Saleh said. “His connection and understanding of the offense, everything that we’ve heard about him from a leadership standpoint, it’s priceless. You can’t put a price tag on that.”Cobb, who has been playing through a bone spur over the past two seasons, admitted he was just about ready to hang up the spikes this offseason. After having surgery though, he decided he wanted to give it one last chance to see how things felt without the pain.So far, he’s been feeling great, and he’s ready to do whatever it takes to help this revamped Jets team win.“I started out on PUP and I’ve worked my way back and I feel great, this is the best I’ve felt in a couple of years,” he said. “I definitely think watching Hard Knocks would’ve made me wish that I was still playing.“I’m glad I made the decision to come back. I’m going to do everything I can to play at a high level and give everything I can to this team.” [ad_2] Source link

The Explosive Legacy Eight Legendary Players in Packers History

From record-setting receivers to game-changing return specialists and dominant running backs, these players have captivated fans with their electrifying performances.
In this article, we delve into the eight most explosive players in Packers history, highlighting their remarkable abilities and contributions to the team’s success.
Don Hutson – The Pioneering Receiver
Don Hutson, widely regarded as the greatest receiver of his era, revolutionized the game with his exceptional speed, acrobatic catches, and touchdown-scoring prowess. Dominating the 1940s, Hutson set numerous records that stood for decades. His speed, combined with his unmatched catching ability, enabled him to become a prolific scorer and secure the NFL touchdown receptions title eight times.
James Lofton – The Dynamic Playmaker
James Lofton was a mesmerizing presence on the field during the 1980s. Known for his game-breaking speed, Lofton was a dynamic receiver capable of turning any play into a touchdown. His explosive skills extended beyond receiving, as he also excelled as a return specialist, recording two punt and two kickoff return touchdowns throughout his career.
Ahman Green – The Fear-Inducing Running Back
Ahman Green, a dominant running back during the 2000s, struck fear into the hearts of defenders with his combination of power, agility, and breakaway speed. Green’s ability to break tackles and outrun opponents made him one of the most feared rushers in the league.
Additionally, his reliable hands and 35 career touchdown receptions showcased his versatility as a dual-threat player. Off the field, Green’s popularity among fans and his exceptional performance on the field made him a prime candidate for endorsements, including online sports betting platforms seeking to capitalize on his thrilling gameplay.
Sterling Sharpe – The Productive Record-Breaker
Sterling Sharpe’s productivity as a receiver is unparalleled in NFL history. In his first eight seasons, Sharpe caught an astounding 70 touchdowns, a record that still stands today. His precise route-running and innate ability to find the end zone made him a force to be reckoned with on the field.
Jordy Nelson – The Reliable Target
Jordy Nelson’s consistency and reliability as a receiver made him a favorite target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the 2010s. Nelson’s dependable hands and route-running skills resulted in 69 career touchdown receptions. Additionally, his deep-threat capabilities led to numerous memorable and game-changing catches.
Randall Cobb – The Versatile Game-Changer
Randall Cobb showcased remarkable versatility as a player during the 2010s, contributing as a wide receiver, running back, and returner. Cobb’s ability to excel in multiple positions made him a constant threat to score whenever he touched the ball. His impact extended to special teams, where he returned two punts for touchdowns in his career.
Davante Adams – The Elite Receiver
Davante Adams has emerged as one of the premier receivers in the NFL today. With his explosive speed and precise route running, Adams consistently stretches defenses and finds the end zone. His big-play ability and knack for scoring have made him an integral part of the Packers’ offensive success.
Christian Watson – The Rookie Sensation
Christian Watson, a second-year receiver with immense potential, has the opportunity to etch his name among the Packers’ explosive greats. Known for his combination of size and speed, Watson possesses the ability to make explosive plays after the catch. With his versatility and skills, he has the potential to become a valuable asset on special teams as well.
Conclusion
The Green Bay Packers have been fortunate to witness the brilliance of numerous explosive players throughout their illustrious history. From the pioneering days of Don Hutson to the modern-day excellence of Davante Adams, these players have thrilled fans and propelled the Packers to great success. Their speed, athleticism, and ability to change the course of a game have made them legendary figures in Packers history.
While these eight players represent the pinnacle of explosiveness for the Packers, they are by no means the only ones. The team has been blessed with other notable players like Travis Williams, Paul Hornung, Leroy Butler, Charles Woodson, Reggie White, and Clay Matthews, who have left an indelible mark on the franchise. Each of them brought their unique set of skills and electrifying performances, further solidifying the Packers’ reputation as one of the most successful teams in NFL history.
As the Green Bay Packers continue to forge their path in the NFL, fans eagerly anticipate the emergence of new explosive talents like rookie Christian Watson. The potential for future stars to captivate audiences and etch their names in Packers lore is an exciting prospect.

근면한 농부들은 우리 몸에 연료를 공급하고 건강한 면역 체계를 지원하는 신선하고 영양이 풍부한 유제품을 생산하기 위해 매일 땅과 가축을 돌봅니다. 낙농가는 배출량을 낮추고 천연 자원을 보존하는 방향으로 진전을 이루었습니다. 기후 위기가 악화되고 세계 인구가 증가함에 따라 미국 낙농업은 야심 찬 환경 목표 설정, 파트너십 시작, 연구 파일럿 자금 지원, 새로운 관행 및 기술 옹호 등 노력을 가속화했습니다. 글로벌 지속가능성 담당 수석 부사장인 Lori Captain은 최근 유제품 산업이 어디로 향하고 있는지, 무엇이 소의 배를 그토록 믿을 수 없게 만드는지, 일부 사람들이 "유제품을 다르게 보기" 시작한 이유를 포함한 몇 가지 질문에 답했습니다. ;

And some more headcanons for this crossover (some mentions of the temporary death and canonical/side permanent deaths):
Eleonor was from Ravka, and she was a tidemaker (and Hob fell for her with the speed of tv Jesper). Robyn was a squaller, but their story still ends the same.
Nikolai Lantsov is a very-very distant descendant of Hob. Not like anyone alive knows it except Destiny. (Robyn was the only kid Hob was aware of, but he didn’t care for real before Robyn that much, and he had his slut period right after he understood that he became immortal)
Wylan is Hob's favourite Crow because he reminds him of Robyn. Both in Wylan Wan Sunshine and how-about-I-push-you-in-the-canal moods.
Hob and Jesper are vibing together. And they both have ADHD in my mind.
Randall Burgess was in the Fold because his best friend needed to go throught it, and Randall wasn't ok with his friend taking this kind of risk without Randall on side. They both and everyone who was with them didn't make it.
Inej had a knife that was called Sankta Robert. She broke this during the basement rescue (she may or may not broke it trying to crack a fishball). Hob brought her a new one instead, durast made.
New knife is by Mad Hettie. She do not do all the durast stuff anymore by her own reasons (and these reasons somehow connected to Destiny), but she was owe Hob a favoir. They also have a very strange friendship because you cannot don't interract when you are two immortals in one Ketterdam.
Kaz was really interested by the devil in the basement not because it was connected with Jan Van Eck but because anyone was thinking that it is impossible to steal thing from basement. He had a lot of other plans with Jan Van Eck, but he likes the challenge.
Hob once was in the Hellgate as a prisoner for few days during his worst times after Eleonor and Robyn. He will not recomend anyone Hellgate (0/10 for service), and he killed himself really bruttaly to be thrown out as a corpse. He had a very important meeting in few weeks, so not like he had time to enjoy Hellgate accomodation.
Ethel Crips is a tailor, and Roderic wasn't aware of it, so she run away from Ketterdam and tailored her face. Did she tailor also John's face? Nobody knows.
Jordie was asking Death if Kaz would be alright. She said that he will not die anytime soon.
Dream will definitely be once (or maybe more than once) asked by some drunkards is he related to Kaz Brekker.
Nina still becomes the Corpsewitch in this universe and sometimes she is able to see Death around when Death doing her job.
Ok, I do not make tumblr posts, but I have this crossover stuck in my brain (and I am having a hyperfixation on the Shadow and Bones rn), so…
Shadow and Bones (TV) x Sandman (TV) crossover, Hob canonically was involved in the slave trade.
Hob Gadling, the new owner of New Inn (a small Inn on the edge of Barel) and your local saint (yes, he is known as Sankta Robert, and he hates this) and fellow Ketterdam immortal in his six hundreds, is trying to live his life in the Ketterdam right after his Stranger missed their meeting.
He was away for a few years after planned meeting (you know, all this “die and return as your nephew from Novyi Zem” things) and just returned to the city when Fold was destroyed. He doesn’t want to interact with any of Barel’s gangs, because it is hard to hide your immortality when someone shoots you in the middle of the street (it happened before. Twice, actually).
He still tries to know all the local rumours, so he knows about Crows, and now his Inn is apparently the Dregs’ territory.
Meanwhile, Kaz is planning how to destroy Jan Wan Eck and heard a rumour about the devil in the basement.
So, whatever it is, Jan Wan Eck is very interested in it and spends a huge amount of money every month to cover the costs of Burgess. And the guards of the basement are so well-payed that no one can buy them. Wylan barely knows anything about it, he only knows that once his father said him that Burgess promised his father to guarantee that his next child will not be an embarrassment (in exchange for the favour that is taking away the Dream bc Alex wants to get rid of the ball).
(Roderic Burgess was not a grisha himself, but Randall Burgess was a grisha and Burgess was already making a lot of plans for how he will monetize his grisha abilities and how he will use Randall in his barely legal plans before he died in the Fold and Roderick was stuck with useless otkazat'sya second son)
Crows think that maybe this is imprisoned healer because older Burgess was too old to be alive.
(Alex considered himself “forced through circumstances” after his father died bc he was too afraid of both Dream and Wan Eck telling everybody that is in the basement)
So Crows start some shenanigans to break into the basement, and Burgess or Wan Yek heard about it and hires some killers to take them down. One of the killers? Corinthian.
Corinthian caught one of the Crows (Nina who cannot take him down because he was made from the dreamstuff?) in the side street, but Hob is passing by. And he doesn’t want some kid to be killed on his watch.
Hob attacked Corinthian and killed him (obviously temporally) but got stabbed in the process. In his heart. With a knife. So Nina tried to save him, but once she took out the knife, Hob comes to life.
And this makes Hob involved in all the things that he tried to avoid because he didn’t want to simulate his death too soon (and these children already saw that he is immortal), and Crows offered him to “forget” about his secret. Price? Help to steal whatever it is in the basement.
After this someone (Inej who will have very mixed feelings about Hob being a saint? like they already met some saints but no one was a slave trader in the past) understood who Hob is.
All this Sankta Robert stuff that Hob hates. He is not only a saint because he just died and was resurrected with too many witnesses, but he also did this during the period when he tried to destroy his own slavery business after his Stranger’s advice. So years after he was known as a patron of the slaves and the ones who were illegally detained.
The eternal reminder of his own mistakes. He is not a saint, ok? Just an immortal man who made a huge mistake and tried to do something right when he understood that a crime he did.
(And in that life, he was going with his real name for some time, so he cannot use Robert Gadling anymore because everyone knows his name as the name of the saint)
Idk what will be next but it all ended up as Hob saved Dream from the fishball and they got together trope, yes. Same story but with some extra Crows flavour.
(And after the rescue of the Dream he is very amused with the fact that mortals call Hob Sankta Robert. Like previously, he never paid attention to the life of Hob between their meetings, only to the Hob’s stories on the meetings, and Hob did not mention this so he didn’t know).
Hob also somehow “adopt” the Crows because they are just a bunch of youngsters for him. Like they’re in their twenties, they are totally kids for Hob. Have they already saved the world? Not changing his opinion, they are kids! Kaz is trying to resist this but unsuccessfully (he is not so unhappy with this as he shows).
#dreamling#Shadow and bone#the sandman#shadow and bone x the sandman#hob adopts six criminals#he was definetly like dream dove do you remember that mortals who helped to save you? they are our kids now#matthias is still not here but he is very busy trying all the waffles in Ketterdam with Nina#Did Crows like Matthew? definetly#Matthew *I was telling you 1000 times I am not a crow* The Raven#Dream and Kaz both make offensive side eye every time when someone don't understand the difference between crows and ravens#every time when Dream is upset he makes doves in Ketterdam fat#Kaz does the same but with crows every time when Inej is not in Ketterdam#this crossover still doesn't want to pay rent in my head#Desire and Despair are huge fans of Matthias#like did you see him? they think he is hillarious#Kaz and Inej are favourite slowburn tv show of Desire#They think that Dream is successfully found himself a stepson who is emotionally constipated just like him#Destruction lived near Ketterdam for centurias and was forced to move to Shu Han because all his siblings have a bussiness in Ketterdam#and this bussines is stalking Dream (not in the case of Destiny he just makes some shenanigans with Mad Hettie)#hob doesn't have problems with being immortal (there are so much to live for!)#but he really happy that now he has people with whom he does not need to pretend#Kaz Brekker was like insert cash or select payment type right after they left Fawney Rig#Dream doesn't have cash so he selects to offer one boon per person#and surprisingly Kaz not used his to send someone an eternity of Nightmares#not like he was not asking if it is possible#Are wesper decide to stay in The Dreaming after death? nobody knows but there is a small farm with music room in The Dreaming#and Jesper is very serious about read Wylan every interesting book in the universe#lucienne really likes them but somehow jesper returns every book he borrows in unsatisfied condition#one of the books had a bullet hole#jesper doesn't want to destroy books he just forgets them in the random places
