“You know,” Eddie muttered, turning to face Jonathan entirely, hip pressed against the railing. “If you kiss me it means you have to put up with me for another year.”
if you’re looking for a way to ring in the new year, good riddance/time of your life by @stranger-awakening is the perfect fic for it 🎊

calling back my name
written for eddie month day 14: roommates
eddie pov pairing: established jonathan/steve, perceived one-sided steve/eddie and jonathan/eddie rating: explicit status: complete word count: 1,393
It’s not even that loud. Probably wouldn’t even wake him if he’d been sleeping already, it’s just that he wasn’t. Insomnia rearing its ugly head after a few days of deceptively good sleep, and now he’s just stuck like this, pretending he can’t hear his roommate’s boyfriend getting his back blown out through the walls. Soft moans and curses muffled against sheets, skin on skin. Praises spilling from Steve’s lips and Eddie might have a hard time looking him or Jonathan in the eyes for about…one or two business days, probably.

introducing the stranger things rarepair discord server!
what is a rarepair? a rarepair is a ship that has little to no canon representation and/or fandom love. some say any ship with <500 fics on ao3, but that technically includes jargyle and i wouldn't consider them a rarepair tbh
how does it work? pretty much everything is opt-in, so once you've agreed to follow the rules, you can pick your ships so that you only see what you want to see. if you're a writer and/or a gif/graphic maker, there are channels designed to pool resources and seek advice for each craft, too! there's channels to thirst over cast members ourselves, too. we're only human, after all.
what are the rules? pretty simple. stay in your lane, don't go choosing roles just to bash a ship. and obviously it's 18+, which means this is a server for adults, please act as such. no personal politics unless there's genuine concern, keep nsfw talk in nsfw places. just common decency, really.
if you want to join, make sure you have the ability to direct message people turned on, shoot me a message telling me you're interested and i'll DM you the link!
hope to see you there! <3

*Me? Including Billy and Steve in the same ship? *gasp* shocker!
** I see you. I know what you're thinking. But maybe you've seen me around by now and you know. You know what I'm thinking. And I'm gonna tell you: don't. I excluded them for a reason. And I'm sorry. But they will win and this is not about them. Again, I'm so sorry.

ship: Jonathan Byers/Eddie Munson wc: 1.8k A/N: This one was suggested by my favorite @sherifftillman <3 I take the two freak boys and I squish. Hopefully they (and the minor background ship) live up to everyone's expectations!
Tumblr media
“Hey Byers! Wait up!”
Jonathan stopped walking to his next class and turned to find Eddie Munson of all people racing towards him.
“I have a proposition for you,” he said once he’d caught up to Jonathan. “A job opportunity really.”
“What kind of job opportunity?” He was always looking to make a little more money around the holidays, and if the job wasn’t anything illegal, he’d seriously consider the extra work.
“So, as I’m sure you’re aware, I’m the frontman for a pretty spectacular band known as Corroded Coffin, and me and the guys were hoping to do a little something special for our fans this year. Granted, there are maybe five of them total, but still. They deserve a little something special as a token of appreciation for supporting us. Anyway, we wanted to send out a special Christmas card to our friends this year. Maybe include a flier about some upcoming shows in it? It’s still very much in the planning stages. All we know is that we want a really great photo of the whole band to go on the front of the card. That’s where you come in.”
“You want me to shoot your Christmas card?”
“Well, yeah. We don’t want an amateur with a disposable camera doing this. We want it to look good, and as far as I’m concerned, you’re the most talented photographer any of us knows. Maybe the most talented in all of Hawkins. I mean those photos you had in the school art show last year? Magazine worthy. Especially the one of that fort in the woods. It looked seriously haunted in the coolest way possible. Way better than anything anyone else submitted.”
Jonathan was touched. He knew most people only knew him as that freak with the camera, and he’d be lying if he hadn’t assumed that was why Eddie was asking when he first mentioned the card. But Eddie actually knew his work and appreciated it. He wasn’t asked just because he had a camera. He was asked because he had vision.
“How much does the job pay?” he asked.
“We’re not exactly rolling in it right now. Shocking, I know. But we talked about it and pulled our money. We can buy you a roll of film for the project so you don’t have to waste any of your own on us, and then we think we can reasonably afford to pay you for your time with twenty bucks and dinner at Benny’s afterwards. I know it’s not a lot, but it would mean a lot to us if you’d consider it. Plus, you can use the photos you take for any assignment or art show you might have coming up. And, come on.” Eddie gestured to himself. “If this handsome face is in your work, you’ll win all the top prizes for sure."
Eddie was right that it wasn’t a lot, but it was enough that it would make a difference in the quality of the gifts that Jonathan was able to get his mom and brother for Christmas. And if he didn’t have to use his own film, it was a net gain no matter what.
“So, say I agree to do this,” he started. “And I’m not agreeing just yet, but say that I do. What kinds of photos are you looking for?”
“Maybe something goofy and posed with all of us? Or artsy if you prefer. And then maybe a couple photos of us actually playing? We’ve got a Santa hat and some elf hats we were thinking of wearing since this is for a Christmas thing, but wearing them isn’t a deal breaker if you think the pictures would look better without them. Totally willing to defer to the real artistic genius here. I just want the pictures to look good, and you’re the only person I trust to make it happen.”
The idea of creative control was enticing enough to seal the deal for him.
“Alright. I’m in. When and where do you need me?”
“We haven’t settled on a specific day or time yet, but probably sometime this weekend. I’ll talk to the guys at lunch and let you know the plan before the end of the day though. I owe you my life for this. Seriously.”
With that, Eddie was racing off down the hall leaving Jonathan to try and come up with a way to make heavy metal Christmas cards into something appropriate for any of his photography class assignments.
Tumblr media
That Saturday afternoon, Jonathan met up with the guys outside of the Hideout. The plan was to do posed photos outside and then go inside to take a few pictures of them playing. As long as they stayed focused on getting the shots they wanted, they'd be done in time for that promised dinner at Benny's.
He didn't think it would take too long, but then again, he didn't really know what working with Eddie would be like. The guy was all over him, and it was more than a little distraction. Eddie just had so many questions about his process, and he wanted to look through the camera and get an idea of what Jonathan was seeing. Or, if he wasn't asking questions, he was touching him. Adjusting a twisted camera strap, placing a hand on Jonathan's back as he leaned in the eye the proposed shot, poking at him to get his attention, grabbing at his arm to pull him over to any place he thought they could get a good photo. If Jonathan didn't know any better, he would've thought that Eddie was into him.
“Come on, Eddie,” he said as he tried to get him to pose properly for what he thought might be their last shot. “Quit it with whatever that brooding, tortured artist look is. You said you wanted something goofy, not sexy.”
“So you think I'm sexy?” Eddie asked, quirking an eyebrow.
Jonathan could feel his face burning.
“Just let me take the picture.”
He snapped a couple more photos in quick succession before putting the lens cap back on his camera.
“I think I got everything you guys wanted out here. Let's take a ten minute break, and then we can set up for the performance shots.”
Jonathan headed inside for a moment alone, but he'd barely sat down before Gareth was joining him at his table.
“You know we didn't need to hire you for this, right?” he started. “Jeff's parents own that hobby shop downtown, and his mom would have lent us a camera for free if we promised not to smash it. A fancy one with a timer so we wouldn't have even needed a photographer to get this done.”
“If that's the case, why am I here?”
“You haven't figured it out yet?”
“Figured out what?”
“You really have no idea. He's about as subtle as a heart attack, and you still don't know.”
“Can you please fill me in so I can make even a little bit of sense of what you're saying?”
“Eddie wanted you to do this so he'd have an excuse to spend time with you and get to know you a little better.”
“And he was willing to pay me twenty bucks for the opportunity?”
“Well, yeah. When he's that into someone, he loses all sense of logic and reason. Even more so than usual.”
Jonathan was stunned speechless. Eddie was into him? Suddenly all of his badgering made sense, and when he really stopped to think about it, the badgering wasn't unwelcome. If he wasn't in the middle of lining up a shot, he could see himself enjoying what was apparently Eddie's attempt at flirting.
“So, why doesn't he just ask me out? It would probably be cheaper than paying me to be your band's personal photographer.”
“He's afraid that you'd say no which I think is stupid because it's obvious how much he gets under your skin.”
“I don't know what you're talking about.”
“Dude. Your entire face looked like a tomato after you accidentally called him sexy. Pretty sure that was your subconscious telling you that you're into him, too.”
Jonathan didn't know what to say. Before he'd asked him to do this, he didn't realize Eddie even knew who he was, and now he was facing the very real possibility that he could maybe be into Eddie, too.
“Look," Gareth started. "You don't have to say anything to me or him or anybody. But, if you wanted, I could make something happen. All I ask is that you do a small favor for me.”
“Name it.”
“Put in a good word for me with Nancy?” he asked. “I find her beautiful and terrifying.”
“I'll see what I can do.”
Gareth stood up from his seat and smiled at Jonathan.
“It's been a pleasure doing business with you.”
Their break ended shortly after that, and Jonatham took a series of photos of them playing through two different songs so he could get a variety of different angles for each member of the band. Once he figured he'd gotten everything he needed, he motioned for the band to stop.
“I'm pretty sure I just used up the last of the film you guys brought, so we can call it here. I'll develop everything when I have access to the photo lab on Monday and get the prints to you as soon as possible.”
“We're done?” Eddie sounded more than a little disappointed and he crossed over to where Jonathan was loading his camera back into his bag.
“I think so. But I remember being promised dinner at Benny's as part of my payment, so we could head there now if you want.”
“Definitely. We just need to load up our stuff, and then we can all head out.”
“Actually, the guys and I have a thing,” Gareth said. “And we can't get out of it, so you guys are gonna have to go by yourselves.”
“What thing?” Jeff asked. “We don't have a-”
He was cut off from finishing his sentence by Gareth smacking his arm and pointedly looking back and forth between him and where Eddie was standing with Jonathan.
“Oh! Right!” Jeff said after the realization hit. “That thing. So sad we can't make it.”
“You crazy kids have fun without us!” Gareth said as he ushered the other two bandmates out of the bar.
“I'm going to kill him,” Eddie muttered under his breath, making Jonathan huff out a laugh.
“No, you're not.”
“Oh, but I am. I'm already drafting up posters advertising our need for a new drummer.”
“Go easy on him. He just did you a massive favor.”
Eddie crossed his arms over his chest.
“How do you figure?”
“He just got you a date with the guy you've been shamelessly flirting with all day.”
Eddie's jaw dropped. He definitely wasn't expecting that response from him.
“I'm pretty sure the guys just left without loading their stuff into the van, so pick your jaw off the floor and let me help you get that taken care of. Then you can flirt with me some more.”
Eddie changed his mind. He wasn't killing Gareth. He was gonna owe him for the rest of his life for helping him earn a date with Jonathan Byers.

i don’t think enough people see the potential of eddie and jonathan as boyfriends
like they’re both weirdos/freaks but for different reasons, they’re on opposite sides of the ‘outcast’ spectrum, they’re both pretentious as hell about their music taste, they’re both autistic coded
they’re stoner bfs (aka bfs who have the same unhealthy coping mechanism), protective of their little brothers (will / dustin) and would die for them, raised by an amazing single parent(al figure), have a shitty bio dad that they hate, etc.
plus like introvert x extrovert

I know everyone ships steddie (I do too!)
But I am disappointed that I haven't seen anyone talking about Eddie/Jonathan
They're both freaks!
They're both really into music! (even if it's different types)
You can't tell me Jonathan doesn't know anything about DnD, seeing Will play with his friends all the time
Even if they didn't interact much while Jonathan was in school, I think if the Byers had stayed in Hawkins and Jonathan was picking Will up from Hellfire, they would have gotten to know each other pretty well
Eddie wasn't in the earlier seasons at all, but I can imagine him wanting to comfort Jonathan in S1, especially if he heard people saying shit about him killing his brother. I can imagine him hearing Jonathan complain about people calling Will Zombie Boy and trying to cheer Will up, maybe with a Zombie Boy character sheet and campaign storyline. You can't tell me he wouldn't be 100% down to stick it to the man by telling the world about Hawkins lab if he knew what Nancy and Jonathan were planning. And Nancy would remember that, maybe pull him in when she went to investigate the rat problem.
Even if the Byers did move away, it would still work with them getting together after Jonathan came back, as a reunion/second chance type thing, Jonathan realizing he has more in common with Eddie than Nancy
Or, hell, I could see that as a nice poly ship, with Eddie being playful with Nancy and getting her to be less serious and withdrawn after losing Barb
Just, the possibilities, man

Had some thoughts about poly! Teens and comforting each other. Talked about this awhile ago on discord and felt the need to share them here too.
Eden goes to Steve because he listens to her vent without interrupting her. All while allowing her to paint his nails. She goes to Steve because as much as she pretends to hate it, she loves the way that he’ll take her into his arms afterwards. How he’ll wrap himself around her and say nothing when she starts to pick at the nail polish they just waited to dry for 10 minutes.
Steve goes to argyle because argyle is easy to be around when he’s upset. He doesn’t ask any question just welcomes steve with open arms and runs his fingers through his hair until Steve’s able to calm down enough to explain what has made him so upset.
Argyle goes to Robin because her rambling makes him feel a little less crazy. Everyone seems to handle all this crap with such ease (see the scene with the dead FBI agent) it’s nice to know he’s not the only one who’s freaked out by it. (They all are, robin’s just a little louder about it)
Robin goes to vickie because vickie is nice and calming, she’s all soft touches and “are you okay?” “How can I help you?”. Vickie makes Robin feel cared for in a way she doesn’t think she ever truly felt before.
Vickie goes to Nancy because Nancy is blunt in a way that makes her feel truly seen. She never has to worry about Nancy sugarcoating her words to make Vickie feel better. She tells it how it is and more often than not she bitches with vickie and tells her how she deserves better and she shouldn’t let people take advantage of her kindness
Nancy goes to Barb because no one else truly knows Nancy the way that she does. Barb is familiar and warm. She almost never has to ask Nancy what’s wrong because she seems to already know. Much in the same way that she just knows that Nancy just wants to vent while they sip at their hot chocolate.
Barb goes to Jonathan for the quiet. While she loves Nancy, she knows that Barb being upset would just make her want to go out and fight whatever made her upset, so Barb goes to Jonathan. He offers her companionable silence as they walk along a path in the woods and he takes pictures. The only words being spoken are her quite words of praise when he shows her one he’s especially proud of.
Jonathan goes to Eddie for the loudness. Sometimes he just needs background noise to his thoughts and Eddie is the perfect candidate. He’s always willing to talk about his campaigns or the new Dio song that came out to anyone that will listen.
Eddie goes to Heather, much to his shock. He wasn’t expecting it but Heather gives him a sense of normalcy. On the days that he thinks of the cold, grimy floor of the upside down, and the sharpness of the bats teeth as they tore into his skin, he finds he wants nothing more than to follow heather around like a lost puppy as she goes on one of her shopping sprees. He normally hates this but on these days it seems to be exactly what he needs to reassure himself that he’s alive, he’s here, and he’s shopping with Heather fucking Holloway. What the fuck
Heather goes to Chrissy because she’s soft in a way Heather rarely gets to be. Chrissy ushers heather into the bathroom so they can soak in the tub together. Afterwards, Chrissy will give Heather her softest clothes and start to eagerly brush through heather’s hair and massage her sore muscles. Chrissy pampers heather in a way she never thought she would allow. But Chrissy shows her that she’s not being high maintenance by wanting to be taken care of sometimes.
Chrissy goes to Eden because Eden encourages Chrissy to not be so soft all the time. She tells her that Chrissy is allowed to get mad and she’s more than allowed to tell people to “go fuck themselves”. Chrissy loves going to the top of a high hill with Eden and finally being able to scream about her hatred of her mother and how she’s sick of having to act like the perfect daughter.

@eddiemonth day 2: friendship
Outcasts stick together. (tw for loss of a parent under the cut)
Maybe your mom dies, your dad gets arrested and you wind up on your Uncle's doorstep with your hair buzzed off and shoes that pinch your toes. But when you turn up to the first day of school a week later, your friend's got new tapes for his walkman and quietly lets you use it in the library at lunch. After school, before his mom's gotten off work, you stop at 7/11 for a pop to share while you read The Hobbit to him and count the yellow cars that drive by while you sit at the curb.
And maybe everything’s different and will never be how it once was, but maybe this is the one thing that will stay the same. You can sit with your friend after school drinking coke and reading Tolkien and talking about your shitty dads, and it might not make the load any lighter but at least you’re not the only one carrying it for a while.
When his mom invites you to sleep over that night, she makes you a grilled cheese sandwich, and it’s less brown than your mama made you, but it tastes like home anyway. She crafts you a nest of quilts in his room, worn soft and smelling like fresh linen. You’ll take turns listening to his walkman until one of you finally falls asleep, because neither of you have gotten used to a quiet home at night.
As the music slows with the dying battery, distorting but with the core of the song remaining unchanged, you drift off alongside it.

that boy so damn good lookin' (lookin', lookin', lookin')
written for eddie month day 9: cowboy
pairing: jonathan byers/eddie munson rating: mature status: complete word count: 3,420
Tumblr media
“It’s the boots, I think. Really doin’ it for me.”
Jonathan has to bite down on the inside of his cheek because this was a mistake, he knows he loses all sense of a filter when he’s high, he knows this. But maybe he can pass it off as a joke, maybe—
“The boots, huh? And here I thought it was my charming good looks.”
Eddie’s wearing a grin that Jonathan can’t quite tell is sarcastic or not, but it must be. Because there’s no way it isn’t, that the flirty glint and his eyes and the way he shifts against the railing, posture straightening out as he leans his shoulders back, is anything real.

Wavelengths || Stranger Things Rarepair Week: Day 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jonathan Byers x Eddie Munson (Joneddie)
Genre: Fluff
Word count: 1.5k
A/N: Day 2 of @st-rarepair-week!! Inspired by the Wavelengths DLC for Life is Strange: True Colors 😌
also on ao3!
Tumblr media
Eddie stares down the blue eyes that look back up at him from beneath the counter. He gently lowers his arm and starts rubbing his thumb up and down his fingers, making little kissing noises with his lips. “C’mon, Smeagol, don’t be shy… It’s just your ol’ pal, Eddie… You like me, right? I put your food out and buy all those toys… C’mon, buddy, just come say hi…”
The off-white coloured cat stretches its paws out towards Eddie, who watches with bated breath. It almost makes a full motion towards him… And then shoots off in the other direction entirely when it hears the sound of the door bell ringing. Eddie would be upset about it, if it weren’t his most favoured co-worker.
Instead he tuts, shaking his head, “Damnit, Byers, I was this close to having little Smeag in my arms.”
“Right. The cat. That definitely exists,” Jonathan smirks.
“It does! Just because you’ve never seen it,” Eddie mutters, leaning down sideways in the run-down office chair he keeps behind the checkout counter of Hawk Records, practically hanging himself upside-down to look for the cat underneath the counter.
Jonathan laughs softly, shaking his head. “Got anything new for me?” Eddie shoots back upright with a wicked grin and mischief in his eyes. Jonathan’s eyes widen in fear as he quickly adds, “Nothing insane, though! I want people to be able to blast music on their terms,” he emphasises, “without having music that thumps so hard it constantly makes you want to go to the bathroom. Especially not on radio.”
“Got it, got it,” Eddie drawls dramatically as he rolls his eyes. “Less Slayer, more Sonic Youth. Let me see what we’ve got.” He throws his hands down on the arms of the chair so that his rings click against it, and pushes himself out of the chair to saunter over to New Releases. “Actually think we got some new Sonic Youth in, you heard that yet?” Eddie asks as his thumb runs over all the vinyl sleeves, and Jonathan shakes his head. “’S not bad. Your listeners will like it. And we’ve got that Violent Femmes album coming in next month.”
“For real?” Jonathan asks, his face lighting up. Eddie’s heart skips a beat as he nods.
“Got the confirmation of what’s coming in next with this week’s shipment,” he jerks his head over to the back office as he hands Jonathan a record and makes his way back to his seat.
“Are we allowed to - y’know, to put ourselves on the hold list already?" Jonathan mutters, despite he and Eddie being the only two in the store.
"Can I? Yes," Eddie grins as he throws himself back into his favourite chair. "Will I?" He hisses through his teeth and glances over, laughing at Jonathan's deadpan. Throwing his legs up to cross his ankles on top of the counter, Eddie waggles his eyebrows at his co-worker, "Sure, but to get on the hold list, I need your number."
Jonathan's eyes narrow. "Why would you need that? I'm literally here five days a week."
Eddie throws his head back to hang across the top of the chair as he kicks off to swivel it around, the squeaks of the chair hiding his groan of frustration. He's so sure Jonathan is into him. He just never seems to know when he's being flirted with. He watches Jonathan head into the soundproofed room in which he hosts Hawkins' local radio station from longingly.
Steve and Robin had spotted Eddie's crush on Jonathan the day he walked in to ask for a job. While Eddie was never especially a snob when it came to music, he seemed to especially enjoy pressing Jonathan's buttons. Eddie never especially came out to anyone, so it was tough to tell at first whether his flirting was genuine or not. But the hopeless romantic that Steve and Robin are, they could spot the lingering looks a mile off.
Eddie had made them promise they would never hound Jonathan about it, for fear of scaring him off, or making the store an awkward place to work. But they never promised him they would keep any third parties out of it.
The two best friends enter the record store and quickly preoccupy Eddie while Nancy Wheeler, practically sister-adjacent to Jonathan through their respective brothers, sneaks past to try and get Jonathan’s attention between him playing songs.
Jonathan notices her waving at the window and pulls his headphones off to jog over to the door. “Hi!” he greets in a loud whisper. “What’s up, is Will okay?”
“What? Oh! Yeah, I guess? I dunno, I don’t talk to Mike,” Nancy waves him off as she shakes her head and Jonathan laughs quietly. “I was just checking in, haven’t seen you in a minute. How’s the love life going?”
Jonathan’s brow furrows. “Why do you ask?”
“I dunno,” Nancy shrugs, “I just… Haven’t really seen you with anyone recently.”
“Or ever. Why so worried now?” he asks slowly.
“Just… I dunno. I want you to be happy, is all,” she rocks from side to side, looking up at him hopefully. “Any crushes you wanna gush about, at the very least?”
Jonathan may have suddenly tried to distract her by stammering something about getting back to the mic, but his occasional glances over at Eddie tell Nancy everything. She flounces back over to Steve and Robin, prompting a, “Wheeler? When did you get here?” from Eddie, but she simply bounces her eyebrows up and down at Robin and holding her shoulders until Robin gets the non-verbal message, running out the door with her. Steve simply frowns, shrugs and trudges along behind them, leaving Eddie to watch them through the window as he flicks the radio on to listen to Jonathan’s show.
Jonathan’s bobbing his head along to Death Valley ’69 when the switchboard starts to ring. He turns it down to fade it out, saying into the mic, “Aaaand that was our latest from Sonic Youth! Be sure to call into Hawk Records and tell me if you liked it. Speaking of calls, I’ve got one coming in right now, you’re on Hawkeye Radio, what can I do you for?” he asks as he clicks ‘accept call’.
“Uhh, hi, is this the radio station that predicts things for you?” The voice coming through sounds strangely familiar.
“It sure is! Let the D20 of fate, blessed by none other than the great wizard Will the Wise, be your guide into destiny,” Jonathan’s voice wavers as he speaks. From out in the store, Eddie chuckles under his breath.
“Great. So, I have these friends, one of them is my best friend. And, they’re both completely into each other, but I can’t get either one of them to talk about it. What does the future hold for them?” Eddie sits bolt upright, eyes wide, as he looks outside where Steve and Robin are stood crowding around Nancy who’s on the payphone right outside the store.
Jonathan laughs nervously. “Uhh, I don’t - ha, I - Nanc- uh, caller, how sure are you that both parties are interested?”
“100%. So what does the dice say, are those kids gonna finally see sense?”
“Just a minute,” Jonathan picks up the 20-sided die that his brother had given him on his first day as a good luck charm, that had prompted the idea for a call-in segment that made Jonathan feel comfortable enough to engage with listeners. He throws it back down onto the table and the sight in front of him makes his mouth go dry.
“You still there?” Nancy’s voice asks through his headphones. “What was the roll?” Eddie leans forward, listening intently to his radio.
“N-nat 20,” Jonathan finally stutters out. Gleefully, Eddie jumps out of his seat and runs towards the radio booth, soon followed by the other three who see it happen through the window.
Eddie wrenches the door to the booth open, reaching over to rest a hand on Jonathan’s shoulder and pull him round until they’re face-to-face. Eddie leans in to kiss Jonathan, pressing him against the console until he ends up accidentally setting off a bunch of sound effects.
Breaking away with a breathy laugh, Jonathan blindly reaches for the mic to pull it over to where he’s stood, his eyes not leaving Eddie’s. “Uh, yeah. I think that nat 20 did the job. Thank you for calling. Here’s, uh… ’nother song,” Jonathan reaches to the console of the record player that broadcasts onto the station, hits the mute button on the mic and pushes it away before grabbing Eddie’s face and pulling him in for another kiss, grinning against his lips the whole time. Both of them are completely unaware of their three friends watching them adoringly through the soundproof glass.
Perhaps the other listeners understood what was happening, too, since nobody else calls for the rest of the day. Steve and Robin take it upon themselves to help out on the shop floor of the record store, since Eddie ends up being preoccupied in the booth for most of the day.
