As the shadow of the night spills through my window, I finally settle into the comfort of the disheveled satin sheets, waiting as midnight draws close to facetime the only person I would stay up this late for. 

*buzz* *buzz*

Speaking of the handsome devil.

"Hey babe, we finally landed. I've never been more tired than I am now." His ash gray hair was sticking out a bit from his beanie, small circles under his whiskey colored eyes. 

"At least you can head back to the dorm soon and get some rest." I lay my phone against the other pillow as I snuggle further into the blanket. 

"Would be much better if I could finally fall asleep with you in my arms. Are you sure you can't come by tomorrow?"

"You know I would if I could Jiji... I have a big day tomorrow though. One day really soon, we will meet before you know it. I promise."

"I'm gonna hold you to it. I should have you wear something goofy when I finally see you for having me wait so long." Even though his tiredness shows, it definitely doesn't stop the adorable giggle that passes his lips.

"Is that a threat or a promise?" My lips turn up into a slight smirk, he replies with a wink.

"Guess you'll just have to find out when the time comes." Commotion goes on in the background as they get in the vehicles to leave the airport, every now and then I'll hear greetings from the other members. 

"Looks like we have to part for now babe... I'll talk to you tomorrow though, even if I have to escape the guys for a few minutes."

"Okay, and Jiji?"

"Yes Y/N?" 

"Happy Birthday." I blew a kiss towards the camera, causing Jinho to turn a light pink even in the darkness. 

"What about me?!" Hongseok yells in the background, his face coming into view when Jinho turns the camera for Kino, Shinwon, Yanan, Hongseok, and Hui to see you.

"Well, now I can't forget about you either Hongseok, Happy Birthday." I blow another kiss and wave to the guys, wishing them a great night's sleep before Jinho turns the phone back to himself.

"Goodnight Y/N, sweet dreams my dear." 

"Sweet dreams to you too." When the screen goes back to the call screen, I lock my phone after setting my alarms to wake up early for the big plans I have in store tomorrow. 

I wonder what his face will look like when he finally sees me; I smile to myself as I rummage through my closet to find my outfit for the day—a pair of my black shorts with a basic white v-forget to with the addition of his yellow hoodie that he sent me a few months back. After a nice shower and changing, I grab my keys and head out to my car while messaging Hui that I'm on my way to the amusement park. After planning to meet up for a week for Jinho’s and Hongseok’s birthday, today is the day I finally get to meet Jinho and give him his gift, his gift being, well, me.

Jiji: Are you sure I can't just come see you instead? I much rather see you than be here with screaming kids after not getting a giant stuffed bear. 

Y/N: It can't be that bad, you have the guys with you. 

Jiji: Those are the kids I’m talking about. 🙄

Y/N: I'm sure it will be fun, it's your birthday. Maybe they have something planned, but I got to go Jiji, my mom needs my help.

After letting Hui know I’ve made it, I lock my phone and finish grabbing some tickets for the rides and attempt to stay hidden from them until I get to the Ferris wheel. The biggest crowds are around the food stalls and the smell of the greasy festival food makes my stomach growl, I get in line to get an elephant ear when I hear his unmistakable laugh.

Oh no, not yet. It will ruin the plan!

Walking towards the same booth, nine familiar faces catch my eye, Jinho catching my eye the most as he was fashioned in a periwinkle turtleneck, paired with obsidian black jeans, and a navy blue windbreaker. His gray hair, not styled like usual, laid against his creamy skin, a slight pout forming on his lips, "Miss, can I get you anything?" The lady at the counter spoke, tearing my attention away from the guys back to reality in front of me.

"Umm... I changed my mind, sorry." I dart off away from them to find another booth to ease my grumbling stomach. 

An hour has passed, the sun has started to make its way to the horizon, the perfect time to ride the Ferris wheel, it always seemed to have the best view of the amusement park that you can enjoy with someone special. No better way to finally meet the man I've been waiting to meet now for eight months due to being on tour. My steps turn into light skips with butterflies fluttering about in my stomach, my nervousness starting to sink in.

Hui: Is it time?

Y/N: Definitely. I'm walking the direction towards the Ferris wheel now.

JINHO’S POV:

"Who's sitting with who?" Yanan asks the group. The guys start pairing themselves off to ride the Ferris wheel, leaving me to sit alone. This day has not been as fun as they said it would be, all I keep thinking about is how I wish I could just finally meet Y/N now that I'm back from tour. We waited in the short line as each seat is filled with couples or a pair of friends, the staff member checking each barrier as a precaution so nobody falls. The wheel turns once more to bring down the final seat for me to get on.

I don't even know why I'm going along with this. Who even rides the Ferris wheel by themselves.

Before the guy checks the barrier of the seat I'm in, a lady's voice rings in my ears, a voice I've heard many times before during our face times and phone calls. 

READER’S POV:

"I'm sorry I'm late, is this seat taken?" Jinho is speechless as he looks me over to make sure he isn't hallucinating, the staff member asks him if it's okay if I ride with him. Jinho nods as a huge smile spreads across his face, taking over the pout from before. I walk up the few steps to the ride, handing my ticket over then sitting down next to my boyfriend for the first time, “So, do you have something goofy for me to wear now that we have met?" His laugh is much cuter in person, little wrinkles by his eyes as he leans his head back with laughter. 

"It was a joke baby, I swear." He scoots closer to me as the ride begins to start, our seat slowly going backward as we raise up in the sky. 

"Happy birthday Jiji. I wanted you to have something extra special for your birthday this year."

"Special indeed. You're my favorite present ever." His arm wrapped around my shoulders, closing the space between us as if there was any left. I lace our fingers together and lean my head against his shoulder, the thrill of finally being able to relax in his hold fills me as the breeze at the top of the Ferris wheel blows around us for a short time. 

"You should thank the guys for helping me set this up, it took a week to figure out everything and make sure it was okay with the management."

"That explains why they have been so secretive lately. Especially last night, they were constantly snickering to themselves. Also explains why Hui has been on and off his phone all day today." 

"You guys almost caught me though, I had to run away from an elephant ear stand to keep the surprise going."

"That was you?! I knew I recognized the yellow hoodie, they told me I was just seeing things because I wished you were here. By the way, I'm happy to see you wearing my hoodie, it suits you well my dear." I lift my head as the Ferris wheel comes to a stop close to the top of the ride, the sun setting as darkness slowly starts to take over the pinks and purples of the sky. The wind picks up right at that moment causing my hair to blow around my face. I tried fixing it but with no luck, the wind kept blowing it around. 

"Hold still." Jinho removes his arm from around me to pull out his beanie from his pocket, stretching the material to place it upon my head, keeping my hair from getting into my face as much. I look into his whiskey irises that sparkle with the last bit of light from the sun, l the scent his cologne and cotton candy filling my lungs. He lowers his hand to rest against my cheek lightly, his thumb soothingly rubbing my cheekbone, his eyes looking at my lips then back up to my eyes asking for permission. 

"Kiss me."

"With pleasure babe." He closed the space between us as his lips finally meeting mine, the taste of root beer still lingering on his lips. My heart starts drumming in my chest from excitement as he pulls me a bit closer if that was even possible in these seats. My digits raked through his gray hair causing a slight sigh to escape his throat and a giggle to pass my lips, his tongue tasted my bottom lip before dancing with mine in a more heated session. 

"Oww owwww!!!" 

"Get it Jinho!!" Kino and Yuto hollered from the seat behind us, cheering and clapping for their friend. He pulls away to wave them off causing me to laugh and grab ahold of his hand again to lace my fingers back to their new home. The staff member continues to let the riders off, the Ferris wheel moving one seat at a time.

"I actually have another surprise for you. I talked with your manager into letting me see you for the whole weekend, so the guys packed some of your stuff so you can stay with me at my apartment in Daegu."

"Yes!" He throws his arms up in excitement, his cute boyish charms showing through. The Ferris wheel came to a stop to let us off the ride, the staff member unhooked the barrier as Jinho grabbed ahold of my hand, tugging me with him to the ground before picking me up and spinning me in a hug. 

"I'm guessing this is confirmation that you're coming with me back home." He sets me down to kiss me once again, taking my arms to wrap around his neck then snaking his around my waist.

"I'll follow you anywhere. Now that I've finally met you, I don't ever want to let you go." 

"Please take him, his grumpiness of you not being around was starting to get annoying, but it's lovely to finally meet you in person, Y/N." Wooseok chimes in. The guys standing there came into view as I released my hold on Jinho, each member coming up to hug me for the first time since I've talked to any of them. 

"I'm glad I can meet you all now, and thank you so much for helping me set this all up, I wouldn't have been able to do this without you." 

"Anything to make our hyung happy." Yeo One chirped as he ruffled Jinho's hair. Jinho smacked his hands away then grabbed ahold of me, hugging me from behind to rest his chin on my shoulder.

"I want to thank you guys as well for making this happen. It means a lot to me."

"Well, you two can get going if you want as much time together as possible before we have to go back to the studio Monday. Be sure to stay out of trouble." Hui winks at us as they all say their goodbyes before running off to ride a few more rides. Jinho took my hand in his as we walk back towards the exit of the park.

"Any other surprises I should know about?"

"You'll just have to wait and see once we get there." I winked at him while I pulled my keys out to unlock my car. Just when I get ready to open the door, I'm spun around and pushed up against the metal frame, his breath causing shivers to rush down my arms as he whispers in my ear. 

"If it requires taking this hoodie off of you, I can't wait." He placed a chaste kiss on my neck with a smirk before lazily walking over to the passenger side and getting in. Once inside the car, I start it up as Shine by them starts to play from my Spotify causing us to laugh on our way back to enjoy what the night has to offer back home.

A ⇴ AFFECTION

Jinho always loves to hold you as tight into him as he possibly can whenever he’s affectionate with you. He adores the close bond that comes with being able to feel you against him and pick up on all your little habits that you have.

B ⇴ BEFORE DATING

You were actually a trainee at Cube when the two of you first met, Jinho had spent the day in your lesson, teaching vocals of course, happy to help whoever he could. The sound of your voice was something that instantly attracted him, keen to help you a little more and find out about the artist behind the voice.

C ⇴ CONFESSION

The day after your debut, Jinho invited you out to celebrate and enjoy in the success that came with your first single. What was supposed to be a celebration though, had a slightly different meaning too, one which Jinho kept very quiet. At the end of the evening, he decided to tell you how he felt, trusting that the two of you might just be alright to date now that you’d debuted, and that people knew your name too.

To try and keep your identities as hidden as you could, the two of you often went on many late-night drives around the city, stopping at service stations first to pick up some snacks before heading off to wherever took your fancy. With Jinho driving, you always ended up having music playing in the background of your soft conversations, flying down the roads, typically ending up in the mountains so the two of you could overlook the city, sat on the car bonnet, with all your snacks in between you both too.

E ⇴ EXPERIENCE

Jinho had next to experience when it came to dating, music had always taken up his life, but having someone who understood his schedule and his line of work was a huge help to him. He’d seen what had happened to others who hadn’t been quite so conscious of their relationship, so he wanted to make sure that he was honest with you, the boys, as their elder, but ultimately the fans and the company too, who he trusted would support the two of you. It took him a long time to open up fully, but once he did, he was more than relieved.

F ⇴ FIGHTING

Arguing, or sometimes just disagreeing is far from something that Jinho likes to do with you. As the elder, it’s normally on his shoulders to try and keep the peace between the younger members and stop everyone else from fighting, so when he’s the centrepiece of an argument with you, he’s never quite sure how to act. The sound of you raising your voice, or your footsteps getting louder around the house is normally enough to begin to scare him, just knowing that you’re angry makes him uncomfortable. As with the boys, he’ll try and keep any fight between the two of you as calm as he possibly can in the hope that you won’t let things blow up too.

G ⇴ GETTING TO KNOW HIS FAMILY

Just after you began dating, Chuseok came around, and so Jinho gave you next to no choice but to head home with him and meet his family. It was terrifying to say the least for you, but you trusted him, and his family, who thankfully welcomed you with open arms for the holidays, and the foreseeable future too.

Jinho tended to spend a lot of his time at your apartment, he enjoyed the change of scenery that came with it, it was almost the only place he could go to that would help shut his brain off from work. Having you there was definitely a bonus for him too, spending time there whenever he could to see you and catch up.

He was the first one to say, ‘I love you,’ out of the two you in the middle of the lyrics of a song that he’d written. When he told you that you inspired it, you thought Jinho was just having a little joke with you, but as you listened to the song, you realised just how much of his heart he had actually put into it.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

Whenever he felt himself getting jealous, Jinho would always just try and force a smile onto his face in the hope that no one else would notice. But one person always would, and that person was always you. Jinho was never quite sure what exactly it was that made him so jealous when other guys spoke to you, but it always made him feel slightly inferior, and terribly nervous too. He hated to see that someone else was able to make you laugh more than he could, he always felt as if that was his most important role.

Just before Jinho enlisted for the military, he sat you down and spoke to you about where he saw his future going, and how he hoped after discharge he’d be able to think more about settling down, hopefully with you. He was nervous about bringing up the subject of kids around you, but as with anything, Jinho wanted to be honest with you, not wanting to wait too much longer before he began to think about fatherhood.

L ⇴ LAUGHTER

If there was one thing you learnt about Jinho quite early on your relationship, it was how easy it was to scare him and give him a fright. As soon as you made him jump for the first time, you knew exactly what you were going to be able to keep doing in order to keep him on his toes and give yourself a good giggle too. Jinho was often having to creep around the apartment in fear of what you’d be up to next, flinching around every corner in fear, only for you to suss him out and attack him from the other side with something that you knew was going to make him fall to the floor with a loud scream.

The feeling of missing you was something Jinho always reassured himself would be something that he’d get used to, and yet somehow that never actually seemed to be the case for him. He would never tell anyone when he was missing you, the last thing he needed was for anyone to know he was struggling, especially the other members who were relying on him to lead the way. He’ll always want to be the guy that they go to instead, but as soon as he talks to you, he’ll be a lot more open about how much he’s struggling and how much he can’t wait to be able to get back home and spend time with you again.

You loved to call him ‘jin,’ so much so that when you actually called him Jinho, it tended to make him very nervous, an apology would usually be muttered before you’d say anything, being able to sense that he’d done something wrong.

He’s always strong with you when the two of you are in public, he doesn’t have the tallest stature, so he’ll tend to throw his body around you quite a bit in order to keep you safe and out of harm. There’s always at least an arm around your waist to stop crowds getting too close and give you the distance that you deserve.

If he needs something passing, your hand can often be seen coming into shot, but your face never makes an appearance. When the time is right, Jinho will get you on as a feature, but he’d only ever do that when he’s sure the reaction will be positive and that you won’t be harmed at any point during it.

After your lecture ends, you pack up your things and quietly get ready to head outside into the cold, so you can make your way to the next class. You weren't expecting it to be snowing, though. The last snow of the season has already happened a week ago!

"Why is it snowing?" a familiar, upbeat voice asks in the distance. Jinho. You couldn't agree with him more.

"Jinho, what are you doing here?" you ask your senior, running towards him.

"Hm? Oh, happy Valentine's day, [y/n]!"

Out of the deep pocket of his beige jacket, he pulls out some of your favourite sweets.

"Jinho... thank you!"

You tear open a packet... only to find that everything has somehow melted. It makes you laugh, meanwhile Jinho is facepalming beside you.

"I held them too tightly in my pockets..." he mumbles, looking up to the sky. A snowflake lands on the tip of his red nose, and you notice that his cheeks are also red.

What would they feel like against your lips?

Curious, you softly kiss him.

Cold. it felt cold. But soft.

Jinho smiles at you after you pull away, lifting a hand to his cheek and smiling from ear to ear.

"What was that for?" he asks.

You shrug your shoulders, reaching for his hand to hold it in yours as the two of you walk to your next class.

"Don't tell me that was your Valentine's day gift for me," Jinho pouts.

"What? No!" you yell, lightly nudging his shoulder with your own.

"Then what is it?" he asked you, his lips shaped like the number 3.

"It's a surprise!"

Jinho sighs but continues to walk alongside you as the two of you indulge in what may be the actual last snow.

GOOD EVENING, LADS! Due to the nCOV-19 outbreak here in the Philippines, all classes have been suspended until April 18, so I’ve got a whole damn month to fuck around at home. Which means, considerably more time writing. This piece is inspired by a video I saw on Twitter, but I saw @astridangel also post in here, so I’ll link that one instead. I planned on making a full-length fic for this, but I thought, “You know what, Jinho’s a fucking tease anyway, let’s just leave it here,” and this came out.

I generally don’t like writing short stuff, so the length of this is making me uncomfortable lol, but whatever. I’m gonna keep a considerable length under the cut, though, to protect people’s eyes.

Smack!

You force yourself to stay silent, stifling the scream in your throat to a small moan. Your breathing is heavy and briefly you wonder when Jinho will decide it’s enough. That you’ve finally gotten what you deserve. That your punishment is finally over.

“How many is that, honey?” he asks, smoothing his hand over your sore bottom. The slight touch makes you jump.

Desperately, you try to make your brain work; how many smacks has he given you? How many with his hand? How many with the belt? The deep breaths you try to take aren’t making your mind less cloudy; it just keeps flashing back in snippets—of you being a brat during dinner, of Jinho’s hard stare as soon as you got back to your apartment, how he slid his belt off and told you to strip, how he laid you across his lap whispering, “Be good for me, honey,” right before the first sharp sting of his leather belt exploded across your backside.

You shudder and take a chance. “Eleven?”

Jinho’s hand stills, and you hear a tiny amused exhale.

“Wrong, baby.”

Fuck.

“It’s twelve,” he says softly, takes his hand off your bottom. You hear the faint clink of the buckle too late—

Smack!

You bury your head in your arms and scream.

“Now it’s thirteen.” Jinho’s hand is back on your ass, running over both cheeks and squeezing hard until you whimper in pain. His hand travels downward towards your center and you buck your hips when his fingers touch; you’ve been craving for stimulation for so long and the slightest touch at the most sensitive part of you hurts.

“Oh, look how wet you are, you poor thing.” He presses two fingers against your clit and you jerk at the sudden contact. Jinho leans in by your face, breath hot on your ear. “Do you want my fingers, honey?”

You’re taut as a bowstring, and every move Jinho makes is getting you closer to snapping. He’s setting your nerves alight with his touch, and you can’t help but nod at the thought of being filled.

Jinho hums, nips at your earlobe; it’s clear he enjoys riling you up and denying you of what you desperately want. “Be good and say it for me, please.”

You take a deep shuddering breath and quietly say, “I want your fingers in me.” A hard swallow. “Please, Jinho.”

You feel him smile against your ear, press a kiss to your temple. “Ah, that’s a good girl.”

Grey was such a boring color. You could hear the voice of your parents and your relatives nagging you to wear something colorful but you never listened to them. You preferred your grey but still pretty clothes and hoodies over something fancy and you were never a fan of being in the center of attention either. Maybe it was also the reason why your heart brought you to your boyfriend who gave you the same sense of maturity and the same kind of reliable feeling.  

Some would say that the color grey was depressive and very neutral compared to other colors and there was a time when you agreed. However, there was just one little thing that you hadn’t realized – and felt like many people usually don’t realize – when thinking of the color. It only changed after you had met Jinho.

At first glance, everything about him looks average. Not too tall, looks like everyone else, a polite guy just going about his day. After spending some time with him and seeing him on stage, were you just able to see his true color, the upside of the grey and another color hiding inside of him.

What happens when you add some glitter to grey? It becomes silver. A simple, boring color becoming one of the most valuable treasures, making everyone yearn for it and making it stand out. It was like Jinho on stage. No. It was Jinho when singing. You could definitely feel it as you listened to him sing for you in his studio room, his voice so beautiful and so unique that you could never get tired of it. He was shining even now and he was shining even more when he was standing on a stage.

He wasn’t completely silver, though. That would have meant that he was always shining and while in your eyes, it might have been so, he was a lot more complex than that. He was grey. But the kind of grey that changed its look depending on the amount and the angle of the light shining upon it. He was still your reliable, simple boyfriend that never failed to make you feel safe and at the same time, he was the silver glowing brightly on stage for everyone to bask in his light.

His hand was warm in yours as you both walked down the city streets that were illuminated with pretty yellow lights. You shivered and Jinho laughed at you as he slipped your intertwined fingers into his big coat pocket.

“Is that warmer now?”

You blushed and nodded.

“Thank you for dinner” you said

“You are so very welcome” he said with a huge smile. “I really wanted to treat you to something better than that ramen you eat EVERY night”

“Listen we’ve been over this, I eat ramen because it’s quick and cheap. I don���t have the time or money to be going out to dinners! I have school work!”

“Don’t worry about money, as long as you have me I’ll make sure you get everything you want. You just tell me when you want to eat some real food and I’ll be at your service my darling…….and I guess I’ve forgotten about the struggles of college. I’m sorry”.

“Don’t apologize! I mean I should be the sorry one! I always hold us back because of my studies…..it must be a real bother to have a girlfriend this young”

Jinho fell silent for a couple seconds. This stung.

He breaks the silence with an exclamation.

“I have a surprise for you!” He skipped a little as he said so.

You squeal a bit and hug onto his side.

“It’s back at my house. You can come over and I’ll show it to you and maybe we can have some coffee and-“

You cut him off.

“Jinho…… I told you I can’t. I have a big exam tomorrow. This dinner was a risky break. I really should be studying”.

Jinho sighed and stopped walking.

“A risky break?”

“Um...yeah I really shouldn’t have-“

Jinho unfolds his hand from yours.

“Am I never maybe just a little bit more important than your studies? I feel like this is so one sided sometimes cause I-”

“Jinho…” you interpreted him but he ignores you

“ I LOVE YOU Y/N AND IT FEELS LIKE I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT YOU BUT YOU DON’T GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY”

“JINHO STOP-“

“NO! I’M SO I’M SO… I’m so exhausted…..sometimes I wish I would have chosen to love someone else”

You tear up and watch Jinho stare at the ground, to ashamed to look up.

“I- I think I should go” you say as you being to walk away.

“No wait I didn’t mean that” Jinho starts to protest.

You ignore him as the sobs start to come out and you quicken your pace. You can hear him call out your name until you round the corner and walk the rest of the way home, cold and alone.

After finishing your last exam you pass on the invitation to get coffee with your friends because all you could think about was your pillow. You were exhausted not only from studying but from thinking and occasionally crying over Jinho. It was a real pain. Anytime you would get deep into studying the events of the last night you were with Jinho replayed in your head and made getting any work done impossible.

Despite the setbacks you felt mostly confident in your work so you hummed a little tune to yourself while walking back to your house. The joy was short lived before thought of Jinho creeped back into your mind. He had sand that song you were humming to you. He had had you cuddled up in his arms on his couch watching stupid YouTube videos until your phone died. You had taken it as a sign to leave because it was getting late but Jinho only held you tighter and rubbed his cheeks against yours. That’s when he sang to you. His voice was so soft and comforting that you fell asleep. You ended up staying the night cuddled up on his couch and being very late to class the next morning.

Your pace slowed and your feet dragged. Your heart stung every time Jinho’s wide grin popped into your head, until it wasn’t just in your head. It was right in front of you. Jinho say in your front porch steps with a painful smile. A smile that confused you. His lips seemed to be smiling and happy to see you but his eyes looked like they were on the verge of crying.

He was doing okay in keeping it together but you weren’t. You began to cry as you stepped closer to him.

“Why are you here?”

“I came because I need you”

“I thought you would like someone older”

At this moment Jinho loses and the tears pour out of his eyes.

“Y/n all I want is you and all I need is you!” He practically yells. It’s not an alarming or scary yell but a passionate one.

“Your not some young thing I take to parties and flaunt around. I am in love you. I can’t imagine being with anyone else but you. These past few days have been the worst of my life. I wanted to run to you so bad but I know how much these tests meant to you and I didn’t want to distract you”

You are both silent for a little while. Only recovering sniffles audible in the cold breeze.

You break the silence.

“So apologize to me…..so I can forgive you and put this behind us because I too need you and only you.”

Jinho kneels in front of you and grabs your hands.

“I’m sorry”

“I forgive you”

He snakes his arms around your waist and stands up. He pulls you to him and grabs the side of your face. He kisses you for a long time. Once you break the kiss Jinho pulls a small box from his pocket. You gasp.

“Don’t freak out it's not what you think”

He opens the box so you can see a small silver ring with and infinity signs engraved all around it.

“It’s a promise ring because I know you're not ready but I want to marry you. This ring can signify our promise to each other to stay together forever.

You slip the ring on and admire it as Jinho rubs your back and begins to sing to you.

But you taught me what preciousness is baby,

No. No way. You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. He was the smartest and most handsome guy you have ever known. This would be to good to be true. Maybe you’re mishearing him? You leaned down on the door a bit more to hear him more clearly but accidentally put too much weight on it and it flew open and you fell down, face first to the floor. You quickly sat up and fixed yourself.

“Hello~,” you said awkwardly, all the boys that have been in the class were looking at you know. There were more of them here than you expected.

“How long have you been standing there?” Jinho asked you.

“Umm… Long enough to have heard everything?”

His cheeks flushed immediately. He quickly came up to and picked you up before dragging you outside.

“Look I don’t know what you heard but everything that I said was most definitely not about you,” he told you and you just lifted your eyebrow in question. He was a really bad liar.

“Oh shit,” he said when he saw your expression. “By saying that I just kind of admitted that I was talking about you…”

He was so embarrassed you almost started laughing because of how cute he looked.

“Okay then… Well… I kind of have to gooo…” he said, backing away from you but you blocked his way. Funny. Isn’t it usually the guy who stops the girl?

“Jinho, we’re already here, don’t you want to just say it to my face?”

He spun you around and slammed you to the wall. His mood changes too quickly…

“Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?” he asked, hovering above you, his face too close to yours. “Since you already know how I feel, I want to hear it from you. So… Do you?.. Do you like me as well?”

You bit down on your lip. This took a turn you didn’t expect you opened your mouth to say something but then all the guys that were in the class before, walked out. You two weren’t in an exactly innocent position.

“Geez, at least get a room first,” one of his friends said and the all started laughing. Now you were the one who was feeling embarrassed.

“I do,” you said, gently tugging on his shirt before turning around and running away.

“What’s up with her?” they asked.

But Jinho didn’t listen anymore, all of his thoughts were on you.

40. The kids, they ambushed me. 

As soon as your last class ended, you were out of your classroom as fast as you possibly could be. Friday classes were always a drag, but they seemed particularly long today, maybe because you were going to see your boyfriend, Jinho, for the first time in weeks after class. He had just gotten back from tour the day before and you couldn’t wait to see him. Thankfully, your professor decided to let your class out half an hour early.

You rushed out of the classroom, practically sprinting to the train station that was fortunately right across from your university.  Slinging your bag over your shoulder once you got out your card, you quickly went through the gate and got on the first train that would take you to Jinho’s dorm. The train ride seemed to last forever, but you finally arrived there. You quickly made your way out of the station and walked the couple blocks to the dorm. You were let in without a problem as you were usually there all the time. You walked up to the dorm room and knocked on the door. 

Jinho opened the door looking distressed and completely soaked. You bit your lip to hold back your laughter. “What happened?” 

“The kids, they ambushed me,” he said, causing you to crack up. He rolled his eyes at you but stepped back so you could enter the dorm. You walked in still laughing and saw the three youngest members of Pentagon standing in a line, grinning innocently. 

“Hi boys, is Jinho lecturing you?” They all nodded and you turned to Jinho as he closed the door. “Jinho, come on, they were just having a bit of fun.”

“(Y/N), they-” 

“Jinho, leave them alone.” He groaned and muttered in compliance. All three boys cheered. 

“Thanks, noona!” Wooseok said and Yuto nodded to show his gratefulness. 

“Hyung, you and noona are not allowed to ever break up,” Kino said. “She makes you a lot nicer.” 

“You little-” Jinho said. Kino only grinned and ran off as you laughed. Jinho shook his head and walked over to you sighing. He tried to give you a hug but you pushed him away. 

“Uh no, you’re soaked. Go change and then I’ll hug you.” He only grinned mischievously and hugged you tightly. “Jinho! You’re making me all wet! Stop it!” You yelled. He grinned and hugged you tighter while you struggled to get him off of you. Hongseok poked his head out from the kitchen. 

“Hey, keep it appropriate guys,” he said. 

“Sorry, but get him off of me!” Jinho laughed and finally let go of you. You frowned and turned to him. “Children, you’re all children.” He shrugged and kissed your cheek. 

“You knew this when you started dating me.”

“Okay, true. But seriously, now I’m all wet and I don’t have a change of clothes.”

“Wear some of mine.” You nodded in compliance and he took your hand, leading you to go get changed. He shut the door and made sure it was locked then handed you one of his shirts and a pair of shorts. You took them and thanked him. 

“Now turn around.” 

“Baby, come on,” he whined. 

“Nope. Turn around. No looking.” He whined like a child but did as told. You quickly got changed and he turned back around pouting. You laughed and pecked his cheek. “Now you get changed then we can cuddle.”  You walked out of the door, blowing him a kiss. 

It was so much fun teasing your boyfriend.

Jinho + “Quit smiling at me, I can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that.”

Jinho was prepared. Well, not as prepared as he would have liked to feel but he did everything he could in order to ease his nervousness. From this perspective, all the concerts he had ever done seemed like a piece of cake compared to this.

He was standing in the entrance of the flower shop a friend of his recommended, admiring the various types of beautiful, colorful flowers. He was already wondering how he could make the most beautiful bouquet for you. Knowing your favorite colors and your personality, it felt pretty easy to tell the florist what kind of composition he’d like to get and after adding that it’s going to be used for a confession, his order was put together faster than he thought.  

Holding the beautifully arranged flowers in his hands, Jinho took his time to walk to the nearby park. As the bouquet was bought rather quickly he had a lot of free time before meeting you there and that didn’t help easing his nervousness the slightest.  

“It’s nothing too difficult! I can do this!” he reassured himself over and over again but he still felt the butterflies wildly flutter in his stomach. He thought he was being ridiculous. He has known you for a while now, he had no reason to be nervous around you at all still, when the thought of confessing his feelings for you crossed his mind, he always felt a mix of excitement and uneasiness.  

It was understandable, he had no way to guess if you would reciprocate his feelings or reject him and he could only hope that after this day your relationship would only change for the better.  

“…nho? Jinho? Hey?” A snap of your fingers right in front of his face brought him back to reality.  

“Oh. You’re here,” he stated blankly, looking you up and down with eyes full of growing affection.  

“You were so spaced out. What were you thinking about?” you asked but he only shook his head with a small smile.  

“I tell you later. Should we walk around a bit?” he held his hand out for you to hold and you didn’t hesitate to take it, clasping your palms together tightly.  

Interesting enough, ever since you arrived, Jinho’s nervousness had completely disappeared. He felt comfortable in your presence, walking together comfortably in this park, talking about whatever happened to you and to him since you’ve last seen each other. This is probably one of the many reasons he fell in love with you.  

“I wanted to ask you earlier but what’s that bouquet?”

“Do you like it?” he asked with a cheeky smile and lifted it up for you to see.

“It’s beautiful,” you breathed out in amazement. It included your favorite flower and the arrangement was based around your favorite color, it fascinated you how pretty they looked. At the same time however, you wondered who is the bouquet for… Based on the elegance of the flowers you doubted it’s for his mother or a relative but you stopped yourself from thinking more of it.  

“That’s a relief,” Jinho said, “because it’s yours.”

You took the flowers from him with wide, surprised eyes, your gaze wandering from the beautiful bouquet to Jinho, trying to figure out what’s inside his head. “Mine?”

“Yes. I bought it for you. And I want to ask you something too.” Your heart sped up at his serious tone but you didn’t dare to interrupt him. “Will you be my girlfriend?”

He gave you the gentlest smile you have ever seen and the scene playing right before you seemed like one you have dreamed about countless times. It was difficult to believe that it’s really happening. You just stared in his eyes for a few moments then back at the flowers in your arms, letting a blush tint your cheeks to a rosy color.
