I’m not sure why I’m sharing this, it seems you’re the only account I know where I can say this. Jungkook lately reminds me of my younger self. I’m an introvert, always been quite shy and had a hard time to connect with people and to fit in. I was the weird kid, with autistic traits, basically. Jungkook isn’t my bias but he is the member I feel the closest to in terms of personality. I see a lot of myself in him, in many ways.

In my early 20’s, when I was at Uni, I got tired of that image. I wanted so desperately to be the cool girl, I wanted people to like me and admire me. I tried to fit a mold that wasn’t me and I lose myself trying to be that girl. Now, years later, I know who I am and I’m at peace with myself.

I want to emphasize that I can be totally wrong and projecting my own story onto him, but the way I see it, I think Jungkook is going through a similar phase. Also, he didn’t get the opportunity to go through a normal adolescence. He seems to be trying to figure out who he is, and distinguish himself from his bandmates. I also find him a bit cringe when he’s trying so hard to perform that bieberesque fuckboy persona but he probably needs to go through that phase right now. I think he’s sincere in what he’s doing, he wanted to do a fun sexy song. He’s young, he’s still on the way to find himself. Or maybe it’s just who he is and I’ve misjudged him. Either way it’s okay. It’s a bit sad because like yourself I’m not invested in his solo work as much as I thought I would be. I can’t connect with his music right now, maybe later for his album. I really hope we will see something more personal and creative. But even though I don’t like the song, I’m happy if he’s happy.

I understand what you're trying to say, and I've seen other fans say Jungkook is going through a phase right now. I don't know if we're finally seeing what was hidden all along or if current circumstances have changed him, or even if some of his traits, like his desire to be seen as sexy, are heightened right now that he can do something about it. I agree that he's 100% sincere about what he's doing, and comfortable with the song, the lyrics, and his image. I think it's still up for debate the extent to which he's in control of it. For example, we know he chose his outfits for the campaign film, but there's a bit of a difference between the leather pants, tight white tee, necklaces, and open white shirt of the campaign film, and the white tank top he wears in the MVs or in his GMA performance. The first teasers pics of Seven and the promotional ones we've been getting now are slightly different? Like, My Time JK vs. Bieber? I don't know either. I see a lot of fans saying he's going through a phase, that he's lonely or lost, and I don't want to assume anything or be fatalistic, but maybe it's true. He doesn't seem unhappy, but the members rarely seem unhappy and then we find out they were. We truly have no way of knowing with certainty either way. Maybe in the future he'll look back at this year and share what had been on his mind.

It's sad, like you said, to feel disconnected from Jungkook, in what is possibly the biggest turning point in his solo career or in his chapter 2 era, but I hope he's happy too. I hope that, if this is a phase, he comes out of it stronger, and there's nothing wrong with what he's doing. He's a good kid haha. He just has questionable taste sometimes :)

Blasphemy and RUDE 2. Even If that’s your opinion I didn’t ask!! and 3.There’s certain features that members get particular praises for, otherwise army (and the members!) wouldn’t have coined phrases like namtiddies, CGV, worldwide shoulders etc. So while, absolutely Tae has a lovely booty, let’s not act like that diminishes that there is a whole fandom dedicated to jibooty alone, including Mr. you-have-to-touch-his-thighs himself (war of hormone Tae, I’m also looking at you!!!). You could hear the chirps of the tiny birds resting on your window sill as you opened your eyes, the morning chill warded off by Seokjin’s warm body wrapped around you, his face nuzzling the crook of your neck. Your brows furrowed in confusion at Jungkook’s response, your hand pausing where it was running through Seokjin’s hair as you tried to parse through the bizarre conversation. Next to you, Seokjin groaned, his hand on top of yours as he tried to coax you back into stroking his scalp. You instead opted to smack him, making him whine as he pulled away from you, looking up at you groggily.

“Seokjin, wake up!” you demanded, shoving your phone into his face, so he could familiarize himself with your friends’ musings this morning. He pinched your thigh in rebelion, earning another swat from you before leaning up on one elbow and reading the chat from your phone, squinting at the abnormally bright screen. He wondered how your eyesight was still intact.

“It’s at eleven!” he whined, falling back onto the pillows, rubbing his face with both hands. “We have like two hours!”

“What? Not that!” you exclaimed, hitting him once again on the stomach, the skin on skin contact making a satisfying smack. 

“Stop hitting me!” he groaned, finally sitting up, his dark hair sticking up in odd angles around his head, and you had to stop yourself from cooing at his sleepy state.

“Careful baby, you don’t want me to punish you now, do you?” he said with fiery eyes as his grip tightened, and his sudden dominant tone made you want to forget about a certain development in your relationship and let him spank you silly. But you were still too hung up on semantics to let your lust take over. Why did everyone think you were dating? You were just friends with benefits who just happened to hang out everyday in between having sex. 

“Seokjin,” you whined, prying your wrist from his grip. “When did we start dating?”

“After the cockwarming thing? Did you actually think this was still platonic?” Seokjin asked, finally realizing that you were in fact, very serious about not knowing that the two of you were dating. He thought it was pretty obvious. Friends did not just randomly kiss each other whenever the mood struck, or go on dates, or just cuddled when they slept.

“Y/N, I took you to the best restaurant in the city for Valentines, I bring you flowers every time I go to the grocery store. We have matching rings for crying out loud!” He exasperated, grabbing your hands with his, the two platinum rings shining side by side in the morning sun. You stared at your intertwined hands in awe. Oh, so you were actually an idiot.

“I thought… I thought they were friendship rings…” You trailed off as Seokjin let go of your hands, falling on the bed with a defeated groan, hiding his face under a pillow. You felt the pieces finally falling into place, the way he always woke you up with a kiss, the way he picked you up from work every day despite it being fifteen minutes out of the way, and the way his eyes glimmered every time he looked at you, shining with adoration. You couldn’t believe you had been so blind.

You called his name, trying to pry the pillow off his face, but he hugged it tighter, refusing to let go. Burrowing into the covers, you laid on top of him, opting for a new strategy and burying your face under the pillow as well. His hands finally let the pillow go, resting on your lower back as he hugged you closer, and you sighed against his neck, making goosebumps erupt. He hated that you had this effect on him, hated that it was seemingly one-sided, even though he was sure it wasn’t. He didn’t think he needed to ask you to be his girlfriend, he didn’t think you wouldn’t be on the same page as him. You were always on the same wavelength; ten years of friendship had that effect.

“I’m sorry,” you mumbled, your lips trailing on his neck as he tried to hide the way a blush seemed to blossom on his ears. He only grunted in response, a hand coming to remove the pillow from over your faces as he looked away in embarrassment, choosing to focus on the little birds nesting on his window than the way you felt, so soft and plush on top of him.

You moved up, resting on your forearms around his head, and you gently brought his face towards you, watching the way he pouted, not looking you in the eye. You chuckled at his grumpiness, kissing him gently, and he wrapped his arms around you tighter in response, deepening the kiss.

“In my defence, you never asked,” you joked, and he scowled in response.

“You could’ve asked,” he said petulantly, pinching your butt.

“I mean, I still thought we were platonic,” you giggled, but instead of the smile you expected, his face fell, looking away once again.

“We can’t be platonically in love, Y/N,” he said quietly, his hands falling away from you, but you were too busy focusing on not going into cardiac arrest. His words were like a chorus in your head, singing ethereally, a lump forming in your throat.

“We’re in… love?” you whispered, and Seokjin felt a weight on top of his chest. He hadn’t meant to just blurt it out. He had planned a romantic picnic with kimbap with extra pickled radish just the way you liked. He wanted to show you that you were it for him, the only one he would ever want, the only one he had ever wanted, but the shock on your face made his blood run cold, his confidence faltering.

“I am… aren’t you?” He turned his head, closing his eyes, wanting to delay the inevitable way you were going to break his heart.

“Yes,” you whispered, and the speed at which he looked at you probably rattled his brain. Perhaps that was the reason his eyes were starting to water, and his heart was trying to escape his chest. You smiled at his reaction, overwhelmed with an urge to coo at your usually guarded friend — well, boyfriend now, you supposed.

But before you could act on your desire to pinch his flushed cheeks, his hand was behind your neck, pulling your face to his and crashing your lips together in a flurry of tongue and teeth. Although the kiss started rough, it quickly melted into a gentle slurry, his tongue roaming yours, savouring your taste as if he hadn’t kissed you before. His hand moved down your spine, softly caressing your skin over your shirt as if stringing the strings on a guitar, your blood thrumming to his melody. When he reached his other hand on your hip, he flipped you over, hovering over you, and finally breaking your kiss.

“I can’t believe you thought we were platonic while literally being in love with me,” he huffed, still annoyed but still kissing your cheek at the sheepish look you gave him in return. You recovered quickly, cupping his face as you gazed into his eyes, finally realizing that the way they softened was indeed him looking at you with love.

“I love you, Seokjin,” you murmured, enjoying the grin that pulled his plush lips apart, puffing his cheeks and scrunching his eyes.

“And I love you, Y/N,” he replied, kissing you once again, never wanting to stop.

Needless to say, you both were late to couples brunch.

FIRST TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST HARRY STYLES!! From the bottom of the stairs to the top of the fucking world baby, get itttt!! He won Best Pop Solo Performance for smash hit Watermelon Sugar-- the other two categories he was up for went to others but he was a dark horse for any of them so getting one is awesome! Yeah the grammys are shit but I’m so happy for him to see him receiving validation and acclaim from the industry that has never appreciated what he (and his bandmates) are and can do as artists, it’s a fucking start you know? We can enjoy the moment! Harry did! His acceptance speech was short and it feels like he was blindsided and forgot everything (including not to swear on TV and as pro as he is you know that means he was absolutely reeling, I love that) but later he said “I want to thank my fans for giving me an environment to be free to make the music that I want to make and supporting me along the way the last ten years”, yes that’s right we have helped you find a place to feel good, and “this is an incredibly sweet icing on the cake of what I get to do everyday so thank you.”

But that’s not all! He also performed, and wore things! Say what you want about Harry (or better yet please DON’T at least to me but that’s a losing battle) we always get so hyped up about even just seeing his outfits and he does not let us down! BLACK LEATHER, TITS FULLY OUT, DICK BANANA CHARM, AND A MUPPET BOA? Yeah he did that! Shirtless under a patent leather suit, I mean: wow. Very glam rock, very… well listen it’s just very GAY in like so many different ways??? Harry Lambert said they wanted “something darker, sexier, and more unexpected” which is definitely about that look I’m assuming and not the pastel thrift store rummage bin hodgepodge he wore later, unless Harry(s) and I have very different ways of interpreting “darker”. (Harry L also said “free the nipple” and we can all see that he MEANT it.) Harry red carpet-ed and accepted his award in a lavender muppet boa, tits slightly less out but still cleavagey, and with a seemingly random collection of other garments YES BABY OKAY you just WEAR THAT THEN! About that Harry L said, “we wanted to do something that felt British and eccentric, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll and a little bit camp,” but the people have spoken and they said ‘we think he looked like Cher from Clueless’ so, sorry Harry(s)! Esquire struggling to describe the look-- “the kind of thing that Styles seems to make wearable” klasjdlk the doubtful ‘seems’ is sending me. Either way we can definitely all agree on the camp part, and that the matching face mask (as seen in the audience shots and in adorbs pics of him camping it up with Lizzo backstage) is amazing, love that (even if he does spend way too much time nervously pulling it on and off omg just LEAVE IT) and it even went also with outfit number THREE (or at least it did as well as any of his anything went together lol) which was a big floppy orange coat and plaid pants and a THIRD BOA, a dignified (haha JK NOPE it’s still a muppet) black number this time.

It seems the performance was filmed in advance rather than done live-- there were clues suggesting this might be the case, but the real giveaway was when a picture from it leaked before the broadcast, lol. Way to make it so we “can’t even tell if it’s live or not” Ben, and why is he STILL so obsessed with trying to gaslight us anyway my god just say what’s prerecorded it’s fiiiine. ANYWAY Harry played Watermelon Sugar and only WS; well after all it is his GRAMMY AWARD WINNING SONG. Plus it was a really nice version, all smooth and funky, with a highlight of the night being Harry’s full on 60s girl group choreo move with the backup singers, omg. Those backing vocalists were the duo G.A.W.D., and there was extra accompaniment by fellow nominee Devonte Hynes aka Blood Orange (who also directed the performance and no I do not know what that means) and “Spencer and Josh” on horns (the closest I can find to someone crediting them so, apologies guys). Anyway! All of them (regular HS band included) were decked out in matching gucci black leather too and looking good. And Harry looked so happy to be up there performing, just beaming like a lighthouse, so overall- good good stuff, I just keep on dancin!

The real bombshell of the performance though was subtle and needed confirmation after for the excitement to really hit-- it was Sarah drumming  decked out in tight black leather and visibly pregnant!! That’s right, band drummer Sarah Jones is PREGNANT by (Grammy Award winning) guitarist Mitch, there’s a HARRY STYLES BAND BABY on the way!!!! WHAT A NIGHT! It wasn’t enough for Harry to find love in his own band, he’s somehow cupid-ing that energy all over the place and spreading it around, AMAZING!

And Liam comes through with not just a sweet congratulations for Harry (“what a huge moment, proud to be your brother” awwww) but also the final word on the performance look- goddammit it IS one of the rejected Best Song Ever video looks, LMAOOOO. But did he tag HSHQ instead of Harry directly in acknowledgment of how the awards system really works and that they are all to be congratulated or simply because it was easier? We will never know.

Additional tidbits-- bassist Hynes was apparently playing creative director Molly Hawkins’ dad’s bass- did we know her dad was a famous bassist who played with Fleetwood Mac and many other 70s stars?! If I did I had definitely forgotten! And more Molly news-- she’s also pregnant!! Harry will soon be surrounded by quarantine babies, dreams really coming true huh? Harry posted a pic of himself with Mitch and Devonte looking very cooool, we saw the ceramic watermelons label execs were sent for the WS release last year, and Rebecca Ferguson who knows 1D from way back when (and has recently drawn attention for talking frankly about how fucked up the industry is and about having seen unnamed boy band members literally slammed against the wall by their management) congratulated Harry and posted a couple of baby pop star Harry pics, cuuuute. Louis’ merch handlers, in response to no complaints whatsoever, sent out emails apologizing. They say they’ve run out of lanyards which were meant to be sent out so they will “be adding a freebie which we know you’ll enjoy” to affected customers’ orders. That is sucky about the lanyards but that’s customer care! Niall posted about his cool bright limited edition merch to remind that it will be gone gone gone tonight and also shared a pretty and touching picture from a the large anti violence rally held in London to protest the killing of Sarah Everard today. And finally some good advice from Bebe Rexha, loved by larries; she says she loves us right back but please don’t kill anyone for not streaming her new song! Yes good plan.

“Okay, the ground rules,” said Namjoon, his voice reigning over the chaos in the room. Whenever Bangtan and Co. got together, the noise was inevitable. “No snacks while we’re playing cards, I don’t want to get my fingers all sugary, YES I AM LOOKING AT YOU, JIN HYUNG!” The eldest hid his face against his girlfriend’s shoulder, causing her to laugh at his antics.

“Next, we are NOT playing Monopoly,” added his significant other, “y’all are millionaires but, give you guys those pink bills and you become a bunch of thieving twats.”

Taehyung ignored the rest of the rules as the leader continued chatting away, going over the cheating habits of each of his friends, and telling them one by one which games they would NOT be playing. Tae found himself not caring what they said about him, so focused as he was in your antics as you laughed at what was going on around you. Happiness filled every crevice of your face, your eyes alight with mirth as you turned your head and smiled at him. 

You edged your way closer to him and rested your head on his shoulder, filling his heart with so much love the only thing he could do was just smile until his cheeks hurt.

“Okay, so we’re starting with charades, since we are all here we can just pair up as we are,” said Yoongi, sitting with his back against the couch and holding his girlfriend’s hand on top of his thigh. “We can write team names in slips of paper and pick them out of a bag, to see who plays first.”

Murmurs of agreement rose from his friends as they scattered to pick up what they needed. Jin came back into the living room with a BT21 notepad that had RJ’s face plastered on the back, Hoseok entered with a bright green pen that oddly resembled the stem of a daisy with the cap filled with white small petals; Jimin gave a black beanie to Yoongi to use as a bag — “all the bags I have are either too big, too transparent or too expensive to use for this,” he said. Since the beanie suited you for your purposes just fine, all of you settled back to wait while team names were called around in the room and Yoongi jotted them down. There was a Kim Seokjin team that oddly belonged to Namjoon and his girlfriend, a charade team, a Meow team, yours being Winter Bear… When it was time for Jungkook and his girlfriend to pick a name his absence was noticed for the first time. 

“JEON JUNGKOOK!” Screamed Jimin, almost getting up to go looking for him, just when a sheepish-looking JK showed up coming from the kitchen, arms loaded with bags of chips, a couple of cans of beer, sodas and a bag filled with jellies hanging from his fingers. He stood next to one of the columns of the living room while everyone was looking at him, his eyes looking back and his mouth fighting a knowing smile. 

“I thought we agreed on no snacks,” said Namjoon, raised eyebrow and jaw locked.

“You said “no snacks” while playing cards, and besides,” said JK, cheekily, “I brought these so you can’t complain.”

He turned his back to the room, showing how he had jammed a packet of wet wipes into his back pocket. Joon closed his mouth, somehow impressed at the way the young man had had to circumvent, once again, the sacrosanct NO SNACK rule. That made it the 5th time in two weeks.

“Alright, the names are ready. Now, when you pick a name, Namjoonie will click the randomiser on his phone to give one on the team something to mimic,” directed Yoongi. “No cheating, I will know.”

Laughing at Yoongi’s bravado, it was decided that one of the girls would be the innocent (“not one of them is innocent though, look at their faces, they’re all evil”, “Jin hyung, shut up.”) hand that would pic the first team. 

“WINTER BEAR TEAM, YOU’RE UP!”

Groaning and pouting, Taehyung got up from your place on the couch and picked you up as well. His pout was so adorable you just couldn’t stop gushing over him while the others waited for you to decide who would mimic and who would guess.

“I’ll guess,” Tae told you, pushing a strand of hair away from your forehead, looking at you in the eye, a mischievous glint barely concealed. “You just give me a show, baby!”

“KIM TAEHYUNG!” Shouted the group. Seeing how he was behaving, you already knew the exasperation of the group was only going to increase as you played but you just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to be the centre and sole focus of Kim Taehyung’s attention.

You softly slapped his wrist as he tried to pull you close to him, and Namjoon showed you his phone where the words Van Gogh gleamed black against the white background. You smiled, this was in the bag already.

Facing Taehyung, his eyes never leaving yours, you raised two fingers, telling him the number of words and, after his nod, you made the motion of painting something with a brush. Seeing recognition in his eyes, you smirk and proceeded to cover your left ear with your hand. Judging by his face, he got it! You knew the moment you read the name in Joonie’s phone that Tae would get it. How could he not, when he was such an artistic soul? Vante would get it.

“I got it!” He shouted, Yoongi nodding, understanding as well who it was that you were mimicking. “A very beautiful orchestra conductor!”

Your face must have been a poem, his boxy smile showing how much he was enjoying teasing you. Yoongi’s elbow, which was resting against the side of the couch, slipped when he heard what Tae had said. Hoseok was looking at your boyfriend with a no-nonsense expression that would have scared everyone looking at him. But Tae wasn’t looking at him, since he only had eyes for you and the noticeable blush that was gracing your cheeks.

You singled for him to repeat, mimicking the three giving signs again, hoping that this time he would just say it.

“Mmmm…” he murmured, a hand resting on his chin as he thought. “A traffic police officer!”

You just had to laugh at how adamant he was on stalling the game. You two laughed together as indignant claims raised from your friends. “YAH, KIM TAEHYUNG, THOSE WERE THREE WORDS,” screamed Jungkook. “Yeah! She specifically signalled for TWO!” Supported Jimin.

Trying for the third time, you looked him in the eye while you signalled for the last time hoping he would finally get it.

“AH! OKAY!” He screamed.

“FINALLY!” Shouted Jin, getting ready to pick another slip of paper from the beanie and looking at Taehyung wide-eyed.

“IT’S SO EASY, HOW DID I NOT GET IT FIRST!?” He lamented, pulling his sleeves up and getting ready to guess for the last time. 

Everyone was hanging on the edge of their seats, some frowning, some paying rap attention, waiting with batted breath for him to talk. 

“IT WAS GEORGE WEASLEY ALL ALONG!”

“YAH, SIT THE FUCK DOWN!” Said Yoongi, yanking him back down to the couch.

“This idiot knows the answer, he just wants to make us lose time!” Complained Seokjin, already pulling a new slip of paper out of the beanie, “Jungkook and Bora, you up!”

You walked back to the couch where Taehyung was sitting while the rest of the group focused on the couple playing now. He pulled you down to sit sideways on his lap as you cuddled closer to him, your head on his collarbone and his chin resting atop yours. After a while of just hugging and watching the rest of your friends play, he moved his head so that his lips were next to your ear and whispered:

“That was the hottest imitation of Vincent Van Gogh I have ever seen, love.”

Things in this batch start out a little slow, KM-wise, but seriously pick up around the Toronto episodes. It features the episodes where both RM and Jin ask if JK and JM are a couple, so it includes the giggly hand-push game that helped make me a jikook believer!

6:29 - JM hangs back (to walk with JK?) when the rest of the group starts heading for the Falls.

8:06 - There's a "teleporting" moment where Jin is in between JM and JK, then the camera cuts away, then it comes back and jikook are next to each other. They stay next to each other as they walk on.

9:52 - You can see jikook interacting in the background.

12:25 - JM takes a photo of JK and gets him to giggle, then they huddle to look at the pic.

13:56 - JM puts his arm around JK and takes a selca in the background, causing RM to ask "what, are you a couple or something? Both wearing denim shirts?" He says it fairly seriously for a line that seems like it's supposed to be a joke and they don't laugh or say anything in response - it looks like JM looks away and flips his hair while JK shifts and awkwardly rubs his forehead. You can also see a quiet exchange after between RM and JM where RM says no to something, then nods at JK. Unclear if it's related, but including it just in case. 

15:25 - JK doesnn't try to distract JM while he did the staring contest like he did with Hobi. When Jimin passes, JK is the only one to clap. 

18:04 - Quick moment where you can see JK start to rub the arm of JM's shirt before the camera cuts away.

18:50 - JM laughs and touches JK's chest after JK loses the rocks paper scissor game, too.

19:53 - When the other five walk away and JK is doing something with his mic, we don't see where JM is.

2:00 - When JK messes up the game he was confident he'd win, JK laughs and playfully shoves at his chest.

7:23 - When JK loses a game and has to buy the others hoodies, JM sneaks a hat into the pile while JK has his back turned. RM rats him out.

8:01 - JM quietly puts the hat back in the pile, then walks over and hugs JK.

8:40 - JK walks over to Jimin to show him something (sunglasses he wanted?).

20:30 - When they're all joking around about whether they can fit four people on a bed, JK moves JM into an L-shape and then lays down nested with him.

BEHIND 0:09 - JK calls out "Jimin-ssi!" and tosses JM that hat he bought him.

4:49 - When the guys are all stretching and JM is in an inconvenient place, JK calls him "Jimin-ssi" again, essentially feels up his calf, and then pushes his upper thigh, all purportedly to get him to move over.

5:28 - JK kneels down behind JM, who's on all fours, and holds his hips to correct his position (I am literally just describing what happens in the clip, but I kind of feel like I'm writing porn, here...). JK then picks Jimin up to move him over a bit. Both giggle as JK starts to stand up and then the camera cuts away.  I can't even begin to think what exercising looks like for these two when there aren't cameras on them...

6:55 - JK reads out the words on the Jimin shirt they're all wearing, which happen to be, "BTS Park Jimin, I love you! I root for you! I'm ARMY!" with a huge grin on his face. Jimin laughs - no one else does - and then jokes that they should wear the shirts back to Korea, prompting JK to tell him "bye!" and wave while giggling. 

7:37 - Jimin shows the parts of the shirt design he would change by poking JK's chest, and then JK and JM share a fairly steamy look until RM interrupts. 

7:52 - JK folds up the shirt so JM's face looks weird and Jimin points to him doing it and laughs. No one else does.  Man, these two were really in their own world this whole Toronto trip, weren't they?

8:02 - JM tries to give JK some advice on the game he's about to play. Before starting, JK starts what seems like it's going to be a silly pose, but ends up being him dragging his fingers down his face, neck, and chest. Sadly for JK, JM wasn't looking. Happily for us, we can look as much as we want. 

8:18 - When JM wins a game, JK claps for him. You can probably guess by now that he's the only one who does. 

10:09 - JM steals a piece of steak, then JK does some cross-cut teleporting to come over and sink down into a chair next to him. JM overdoes making his eyes look big and innocent (perhaps hoping to get caught and scolded?).

10:35 - JM makes Jin move when he takes JM's seat next to JK I feel like just the Behind for this episode needs it's own jikook rating! And most of it is watching JK lead the guys in a workout. If you're going to watch just one Run Behind, consider making it this one!

Ep 71 "BTS in Toronto Part 3" (Ep: 3 / KM: 3)

The Toronto one where the guys have dinner, have breakfast, and play games

14:28 - Maybe nothing, but just to note it - in this and the next shot, you can see JM heading towards where JK is lying back on the couch after losing a game, then there's an abrupt cut and everyone is in a totally different position. 

29:20 - JK tells JM the "super-pancake" he made is for him since he has to do the penalties. 

BEHIND 6:59 - JM says that he thinks JK will want to eat and calls out for him.

Ep 72 "BTS and Mafia" (Ep: 3 / KM: 2)

The one in which we learn that BTS is so terrible at the Mafia game that it almost comes back around to being impressive 

3:10 - When Jin says JK is suspicious because he isn't talking, JM defends him, saying "you know he doesn't talk much." 

8:34 - JM seems to direct his appeal to be spared to JK.

18:16 - JK compliments how well Jimin is doing at the game.

20:13 - After Jimin says he's ARMY, JK asks, "do you like me that much?" Then there's a quick cut and Jin is doing a Jim Halpert face at the camera.

28:03 - Confusing maybe-moment - let me know if it's clearer to anyone else! - but after JH is sending finger heart guns, JM points gun fingers directly at JK for no apparent reason. 

BEHIND 2:39 - Before they start playing, JK predicts that JM and Jin will be good at the game.

Eps 73-76 “Run BTS Drama Parts 1-4″ (n/a)

The ones where BTS spend four episodes making a “comedic” skit

01:09 - After JK explains that he had a wisdom tooth taken out, Jimin adds the info that they had to take out the whole root.  09:10 - Even though V is the "director" of Jimin's scene, JK speaks up and takes over the role, saying that directors use informal language and repeating twice in informal language "Jimin, let's go!" He continues speaking informally when Jimin messes up and JK scolds him.  11:40 - When it's JK's turn to deliver a line and he gets nervous about remembering it, JM reads it out loud for him. He also says as soon as JK delivers the line that he did the best job and adds to Hobi, "he doesn't get embarassed, I told you."  16:26 - It's a little hard to see for sure, but it looks like Jimin votes for JK when it's time to choose who should be the skit's director. I'm going to be totally honest with you guys - I didn't rewatch these episodes past this. I first saw it months ago and remember being disappointed and fairly bored through most of it past the first half of the first episode - I don't find the skit funny and the behind-the-scenes stuff isn't amusing enough to make a four-part episode about. I’m sure there are others who completely disagree with me and no judgment if you don't share my opinion! But I'm doing this guide for fun and I don't want to spend two hours rewatching them. 

I don't recall a ton of jikook beyond the above - I think there's a moment in part 3 where JK is getting tired and Jimin offers to take over slating for him. So, anyone who is a fan and knows / finds more jikook moments, please let me know and I will update this guide to reflect that. Otherwise, let's happily move along. :)

Ep 77 “Food Guest Part 1″ (Ep: 4 / KM: 5)

It's so unabashedly flirty a description can't really do it justice.   JK and JM are supposed to be playing a game where they put their palms together and shove to see who can make the other lose their balance. JM shoves lightly at JK's chest before they even start the game, then both start giggling. Still giggly, JM asks if JK's ready and JK says he is. JM pushes at JK's palms and JK just swings his arms back as they look at each other and smile. Jin interrupts to ask, "are you a dating couple?" (that's the most direct translation - V app translation is "are you two together?"). JK and JM both laugh, the latter so hard that he spins around, thus losing the game. 

17:08 - JK is staring so intently at Jimin on his knees with a blow-pen in his mouth that he completely misses RM trying to give him a high five. Jin has to call for JK to please respond to RM before JK looks away and returns the high five, laughing and apologizing. He looks back immediately after. 

BEHIND 0:58 - JK gives JM a shoulder massage while holding his chest as JM makes satisfied noises. I've seen this clip in compilations before, but hadn't realized it was also from  this episode. It's really the gift that keeps on giving! 

4:29 - Just prior to the above palm-push game, JM reaches out to do something to JK's sleeve (I think?). The camera cuts before we see clearly.  

4:31 - Slightly different angle of JM and JK giggling at the start of the palm-push game.

7:11 - Reveals that RM actually tried to high five JK and was ignored TWICE before Jin called JK's attention away from JM on his knees with a blow-pen in his mouth.

BEHIND 9:56 - JK watches JM dance playfully, then wiggles his own hips, seeming to want JM's attention. Jimin smiles and starts to say something that gets cut off. 

10:03 - JK films JM as JM dances and smiles while looking into the camera. Jimin is doing silly dance, but JK zooms in on his joyful face. He quickly licks his lips as he watches.

will never be over the way jk looks at jm. i know it's bad form to compare ships but i can't help it -- i've seen ppl's compilation of jk staring at other members and it's just not the same. The way JK smiles so softly while looking through half-lidded eyes is so specific to JM. It's especially telling when other members are speaking and JM isn't even doing anything but JK just stares like he can't help himself. No wonder k-shippers say JK has honey dripping out of his eyes when he looks at JM

You can’t bring up the way Jungkook looks at Jimin and not expect me to go into a whole ass rant about it because oh my god the way he look at him...

Okay so, all of these are barely even scratching the surface, that’s how many moments there are where you can catch Jungkook absolutely slipping. People call him satellite-jeon and it’s definitely with good reason.

The way you don’t even have to know who he is and who he’s looking at to know that he’s happy? I mean, you can almost see the honey dripping from his eyes whenever he’s looking at Jimin. There’s an undeniable fondness there, and sometimes, it’s almost helpless like he’s powerless to the effect Jimin has over him. His stares are always so soft, with so much—dare I say it—love in them that it makes me wish that I could find someone who looks at me the way he looks at Jimin.

Honorary mention to GCF Tokyo: there’s this quote that goes something along the lines of, “If you want to know what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph”. The way he filmed Jimin can make anyone fall in love with him, and it hurts even more when you realize we’re seeing Jimin from Jungkook’s point of view—it’s literally how Jungkook sees him all the time.

Also, just as you said, Jimin isn’t even aware of the staring most of the time. He’d just doing his own thing or talking, and Jungkook would be staring at him with the fondest little smile playing at the corner of his lips (he literally stares at Jimin when Jimin isn’t even looking). Because I vaguely recall there being a few times where Jimin caught Jungkook slipping, and he’d never fail to ask “what’s up with you, why are you staring like that?”.

And you know what delivers the finishing blow to me? It’s how Jungkook always has a little smile whenever he’s looking at Jimin. The thing is, he’s probably not even aware that he’s smiling so much while looking at him. That’s how much joy Jimin brings to him and for that, I am Deceased.

Bonus: if you think that Jungkook is the only one who has eyes that drip honey, boy do I have news for you because—

You raise some excellent points, esp. about the fallout of the 1-A boys and Aizawa ignoring Mineta’s behavior, like… Given their characterization it never made sense to me, so I always just kinda waved it away as bad writing, yanno? (I mean Hori’s made several, ahem, questionable decisions concerning his female characters and the way they’re portrayed/treated so that seemed plausible enough). Mineta’s there to be a little perv/comic relief (v. derogatory) which is why he is able to get away with so much. Were things more realistic he’d definitely have been booted from the school for harassment probably on the first day, if he even made it through the entrance exams.

But honestly I admire you for undertaking the Herculean task of making this tiny disaster boy palpable. Most would just write him off completely, but your deciding to give him the same grace as a more beloved character gives me the warm ‘n’ fuzzies, ngl lol.

LOL. and the way Mineta is currently written in canon sort of just… enforces that??? i mean, that’s not a version of Mineta i want to write (so i’m not gonna LOL) but it’s definitely in the back of my mind. if i thought i could get away with it, without losing people to the distaste, i’d like…. try to write him from that angle LMAOOO dsflkjsdklfjsdklfj because!!! BECAUSE,,, i find it interesting.
