@saturnsatnin HAS STOLEN MY WORK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I wrote this fic for a collab back in early November and this person has decided to steal not only the entire thing, but my requests and drabbles too. I haven’t had a proper look but I am SHAKING with anger. The only thing they changed is the characters involved. I’m not sure if they’ve stolen anyone else’s work, but you know people like this are too lazy and in creative to write their own stuff so please make sure to see if anything of yours has been stolen.
I am FUMING I have no idea what to do in this situation.

You know, I think there's something so, so insidious to the idea that Orym's perspective of the Vanguard is "flawed/human" or that him repeatedly reminding his friends what the Vanguard does (kill innocents to achieve their means) "blocks nuance" in the conversation, etc, because it implies that, in this mythical "objective" perspective that apparently exists, the Vanguard aren't so bad. If only Orym could put aside his petty grievances, such as the murder of his father and husband, and let people be nuanced about this situation, he'd see there's two sides to this story. And why discount the Vanguard's perspective just because *checks notes* they're a massive, manipulative cult that preys on vulnerable people to join their ranks and turns them to violence, or that they work with a centuries-old fascist eugenicist literally mind-controlling psychic government with the goal of freeing a creature that could very well destroy the world as we know it and even if it doesn't, will leave an enormous power vacuum for that fascist government to potentially occupy when they invade Exandria?
I think there's some misconception people have that they think war shouldn't ever be personal and if it does become personal for someone then their logic is too clouded by their feelings to see the situation clearly, just automatically. And perhaps sometimes, in some contexts, this can be true! But not here. It's actually quite cut and dried that Orym's "flawed, human" perspective is the one reminding everyone of the human cost to Ludinus' grand plans, all in the name of so called "progress"

just found out about twitter users compiling a public list of ‘bi lesbian supporters in the warrior cats community’ and i think its especially fucking insidious given they’re targeting smaller creators and users with followings that don’t interact with the larger fandom as a whole or aren’t even big name fans. i know a few people from this list and its fucking appalling. at this point, creating a public list of ‘bad people’ with very small followings is gross and i can’t abide by it.

Actually, speaking of the tags on my last post, you guys get so violent over online queer discourse and it’s honestly really fucked up.
I’ve seen baeddels talk about how they want to misgender and beat up “transandrophobia truthers”. I’ve seen people say they’ll kill fellow queer people who use the “toothpaste” ocean mlm flag. I’ve seen exclus talking about sending gore to mspec monos.
You guys seriously need to go outside and maybe get therapy if you have such violent tendencies towards fellow queer people. Like you honestly sound insufferable if you act like this. Where’s this energy towards the politicians killing us? Or do you just hate other queer people who aren’t queer in the way you like?

I have no clue what Oliver thinks about anything, but I find it so disrespectful of him to call this episode great ahead of it airing. Plenty of us were represented in the bucktommy relationship, one way or another, and to just get slapped with an out of left field breakup and being told: Enjoy!.
Get a grip Oliver and learn not to spread biphobic prejudices while you're at it!
Tumblr media
welp he’s posted this so. fun he can speak out now but not after everything that’s happened with all the hate bucktommy and lou got for months.
anyways!

ok you can't make this shit up
they want gay eddie so bad that they MISHEARD the cheerleader's dad asking if eddie was the cheerleader's boyfriend (he asked if eddie was the mother's new boyfriend) and are taking that as a win
the cheerleader is a child. he is in high school. they thought this man was asking if eddie, a grown man in his 30s, was dating his teenage son, and are saying it's a good thing. because it hints at buddie.
I don't want to hear another word about the bucktommy age gap

Not to go off on one but I can't believe social media has just repackaged the idea that women are unstable and thick and irresponsible and bad at maths and airheaded and pretty and spend all their money on clothes and make up but because they've slapped a fake feminist buzzword on it and a woman is making the video they've made everyone think it's a new wave of female liberation, I feel like I'm going mad

I feel like someone in Hollywood or the music industry needs to clear up the accusations against Christians. Because when it comes to the narrative, everyone who wants to openly do things that are wrong, and then make those wrong things a name tag of "who I am," likes to use words like "welcoming" and "loved" when that's not what they really mean.
You say you want Christians to "welcome" you, and not ask you to change. Thats so misleading. Do you want them to keep being Christians? Because Christians, by definition, are followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth...who specifically demands that anyone who comes to Him "denies themselves" and let their old selves die. So what the heck do you mean, Selmer? What the heck do you mean, "Christians say they'll welcome me but it's only if I change?" We're all changing. We all identified one way, with our wrongdoings, with our feelings, and then we came to Christ and that part of us died. It's not about our welcome. It's about Him, Him being Lord, and He said "die to yourself." If that's not what you're actively looking for, if you're not looking to change because you realize you need it, then you don't actually want Christianity. You don't actually want anything to do with the real actual person/God Jesus the Christ of Nazareth. You just want to be in the "social club" you've morphed Christianity into.
Welcoming is not about "can you come hang out with us." It's also not about "can you come hang out with us and feel included and also feel approved for every single choice you make." What? Thats just an echo chamber. Nobody who really loves you in your life will accept every single thing about you and approve every choice you make. How much greater is a love that recognizes when and where you're wrong, is not afraid to call you out on it, and is willing to sacrifice your opinion of them and the comfortable space of your relationship if it means the truth might set you free? Because that love cares more about you, the person made in the image of God, than they do your opinions, or the feelings that lie to you and hurt you.
That's actual love. Thats how Christ loves you. But don't you dare say "Christians don't love and welcome me for who I am: they pretend to, but they really just want me to change." There's nothing pretend about it. It's all very up-front. Christ said "come and die, and when your old self is dead, I'll give you new life." We all did it. He is doing it to all of us. We didn't deserve it. If you don't like it, you don't actually want Christianity.
That is the actual definition of love: putting someone else's needs before your own. Not wants. Not feelings. Needs. That's what Jesus will do for you. He'll say, "I see all of who you are, even better than you do, and all of who you are does not deserve my love or my acceptance; in fact, it deserves punishment. But I'll take that punishment. Because I love you anyway. And I'll clean what's messed up in you, and I'll make you your true self."

I think I'll just say this: I don't agree when people call any of the islanders "bad parents" just because their parenting is flawed.
Like, parents and their parenting is flawed. Inherently. One parent cannot meet all the demands of their child; it is literally impossible. As humans are imperfect, there will always be something missing or lacking in one's parenting. Hell, sometimes even two parents can't meet all their child's needs, depending on their personalities. If that's the case, then I guess all parents are bad parents. But that's not the case, so I don't get why people are so adamant when they see that a parent isn't handling things 100% perfectly and go "wow this person's parenting sucks."
And this is even more so when you take into account... pretty much everything going on in Quesadilla island. These people never really planned to be parents, yet here they are! And this island is out to kill these kids, so it's also a dangerous game of survival now, too! There are horrors around pretty much every corner. Plus, outside or inside forces are making the islanders suffer very often. The islanders are never okay. How they take care of their children is going to be different just by the very basis of their environment. The standards of parenting are different here. Their relationships with people, including their children, were never going to be 100% healthy or positive or okay. It's just not possible.
so, no, I don't think that just cause, say, q!Tubbo or q!Phil aren't great in regards to their emotional intelligence and often isolate themselves, or when any other parents in general don't handle what their children are going through perfectly, that they're bad parents. That kinda statement feels like it diminishes pretty much all the hard work and effort and love they put into taking care of their kids and even kids that aren't their own. Tubbo gives his everything for Sunny, and was/is an active babysitter for a lot of other eggs. Phil works so hard to love and teach survival to and take care of his two eggs equally. (Like, being 'basically' a single parent, of one or WORSE, two, is already hard enough in the real world - imagine being one on this fucking hellscape they're on).
Like, I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out the parents' flaws. Their flaws make them human, and it'd be foolish to disregard their humanity. And it's interesting to analyze their flaws and what they say about the character, and how they impact their family. There's nuance there, and it should be discussed.
But I think when you're just going "oh, they're bad at parenting in general" because they fumble the bag in other departments lacks nuance. Sure, if you're just saying "they're bad when it comes to certain aspects of parenting," that's a different story, because that's understanding their flaws while recognizing that those flaws don't define all of their parenting. But to just say they're bad at it in general isn't productive analysis of their characters in any way. I haven't watched q!Phil take care of his egg for a whole year (followed by a second egg more consistently shortly after) only for people to shit on his parenting just because his lack emotional intelligence is more noticeable as of recent due to all the trauma and bullshit he's endured. And I haven't seen q!Tubbo put his whole heart into taking care of Sunny as well as multiple other eggs, being Chayanne and Tallulah's reliable godfather, just for people to put down his efforts because he's not always great at more emotionally in depth conversations. They're good parents in a lot of ways, and those strengths shouldn't be discredited just because they aren't good at other things. Their characters deserve way better than that.
tldr these parents are all good in many regards and are just trying their damn best in the worst of circumstances, can we cut them just a bit of slack, please?

Funniest (saddest) example of modern fandom racism is how a lot of ppl prefer to ship Lucy with the guy who torture, kidnapped and cut her finger off over the black guy she actually has romantic chemistry with and actually cares about her well-being. Not only that, bc if you do find Ghoul to be an interesting character and you like messy toxic relationships, you can ship him with Barb, y’know, his WIFE but she’s black too and is barely discussed I wonder why…
