WIP Wednesday - 9/4/24 - Jenny Hoyt x Reader

A/N: Excerpt from something I've been working on since July 24th of last year. 3x11 was one of my favorite Jenny episodes from season 3, where I felt like we finally got back to the spirit of her character as well as her friendship/partnership with Cassie, while setting her and Beau up to have proper parallels for the first time since 3x01.

You shrugged. “Besides, I like peach.”

“Oh, I know you like peach,” Jenny teased, putting her fork down.

You rolled your eyes and went for another bite. “Ha ha. What, are you letting Arlen write all of your jokes now? Because that is not the guy you want to be learning standup from, trust me.”

She grinned and swung her body around to straddle you. You dropped your fork and your hands flashed out automatically to her hips to keep her from falling. Giving you a teasing smirk, she slid her hands up over your shoulders and leaned in, stopping just an inch or so from your lips. “I know you really like peach,” she whispered, gyrating her hips against you a little as she dug her teeth into her bottom lip.

“Peaches are sweet,” you said absentmindedly, watching in awe at the way her body moved. You got a sudden case of deja vu from the last time she seduced you this way, on this very couch as a matter of fact. Not that you minded one bit. 

“What do you say, we close up in here and go to bed?” She murmured huskily to you. “So you can show me just how much you really do like peach.”

You nodded, your eyes on your hands that were roaming all over her. Sometimes it still blew your mind that this beautiful woman had been dropped into your lap, figuratively before she literally was in it. This amazing person whose smile lit up a room as well as your heart, and whose eyes reflected back the very soul you’d been searching for while also seeing deeply into your own. If Beau hadn’t called you and offered you the job at his new department, you might never have met her. That was something you didn’t even want to consider. Not having Jenny in your life was unthinkable. 

She went to get up off of you but the action made your head clear. “Jenny.” You stopped her, cupping her cheek when her brows drew together in confusion as she stared down at you. You gazed into those beautiful blue eyes and gave her a soft smile, needing her to know just how much she meant to you. “I really do love peach. I’d marry the fuck out of it if it wanted me to.”

Jenny laughed and lowered down to kiss you soundly. “I love you, too,” she whispered to your lips. “And maybe it would marry you, too, if you, you know, would ask.”

“Is that a challenge?”

She shrugged her shoulders, tenderly moving your hair out of your eyes.

“Because that sounded like a challenge,” you insisted.

“Could be,” she teased. “Or not.”

“You sure? I’m telling you, I’ve been challenged before and that sounded like a challenge.”

A devious smirk spread across her lips. “You have, huh? Well, in that case…” She leaned in and whispered something into your ear that had your eyes almost popping out of your head. 

You slapped your hands onto the seat of her pants, making her let out a teasing yelp, and held onto her as you got to your feet. “Challenge accepted, Miss Hoyt.”

Six Sentence Sunday - 11/5/23 - Jenny Hoyt x Reader

A/N: Something from a story I was working on long before I ever started anything for Beau x Reader or Soldier Boy x Reader. I do plan to go back to it at some point to finish it up. Jenny was the one that got me out of the Reader gate with writing so I have a special place in my heart for her and this story. All unbeta'd.

Hoyt managed to get another spoonful of the ice cream and whiskey into her mouth, never breaking eye contact with you as she licked at the spoon afterwards. “You should take a taste.”

She began to lean in and every warning bell sounded off in your mind. You forced yourself to remember your best friend Beau back in that trailer of his, bullet wound in his shoulder and his arm in a sling. Seeing his face when he had cupped your cheek with his free hand and gave you a tender smile before you left him with Cassie for the night broke through the fog currently taking residence in your brain and brought you back to your senses.

You slapped your hands on her ass and grabbed it, making her gasp, and refused to let the smirk show that you knew you would be wearing already if you weren’t here for something else. “As tempting as that is, Hoyt, that’s not why I’m here.” You surprised her by lifting her up enough that you could get to your feet.
