He had nothing to say to her. Nothing that could bridge the gulf. They were two parts of a plain, blown apart by an atom bomb. A nasty radioactive crater between them, waiting to irradiate them both. He accepted the wound would be terminal. He knew this was the one time he had gone too far, and the one thing he could never undo. He had to make peace with it.

Project SEKAI: the Movie -Ruined SEKAI and the Miku Who Can't Sing- recap post
The previously teased "new project" was officially announced earlier today! We're going to be getting a Project SEKAI movie, which is slated for release on January 17th, 2025!! The main poster can be seen above.
This post will be summarising what we know, and will be updated when more information is given.
youtube
As mentioned already, the movie will be released next January in cinemas in Japan. It will be animated by P.A.WORKS, who animated the Journery to Bloom shorts. The first trailer for the movie is embedded above. Clips from the movie will be shown in cinemas in Japan starting in August, and these will later be made available on Youtube.
An international release was confirmed in the July Colorful Corner livestream, though no date has been given. It will be some point after the Japanese release.
A synopsis was also released, and a translated version can be found here. To summarise, Ichika meets a Miku she doesn't recognise, who appears to be rather sad and lonely. This Miku tells Ichika that there are people she wants to sing to, but she is unable to reach them, and she wants to get to know Ichika because she sees how Ichika is able to reach people's hearts with her singing.
Based on the costumes used in the movie being from before the 3rd anniversary, this movie is likely set then. However, it could be a noncanon original story (like the anthology manga) or it could be canon to the game and link up to the current story, and the outfits could be down to the fact that this movie would've gone into production long before the 3rd anniversary redesigns were created.
A character sheet for the new Miku was also posted on the movie's website earlier today.
The movie will also feature new songs, though more information on these will be released at a later date.
The official website can be found here, and the official twitter account is @/pjsekai_movie.
The next load of information about the movie will be given during the 4th anniversary thanksgiving festival (unless the cinema clips make it first). There will be more information about the songs in December.

So let me summarise, they want us to believe that...
Phil asked dan to buy him things for his background all the way back in 2016. that means dan ordered these things during tatinof. in that context it makes perfect sense for dan to forget about already having bought a present because they arguably had a lot going on.
Dan got him the lamps, plus a deer candle, which phil mentions in a video back in January 2017 (this is relevant, I promise).
He then tweeted about the hippo lamp in February, presumably because he thought it's nice/funny and wanted to show people but didn't want to mention that dan had bought it for him for...reasons.
A few months later they moved with all the lamps (and never showed the dino and lava lamp) and a few years later in 2019 phil finally used the deer candle, along with the dinosaur lamp (and the lava lamp?) for the new AP set in the 2nd London apartment.
Which he planned on doing since 2016? (He doesn't mention where he got the candle from but he does pretend to order the lamps. On that topic I'll redirect you to the tags on this post.)
OR they lied yesterday. Which is at least as plausible as this because they do have a track record of getting their own past wrong.
#okay hear me out it's not that likely but it does make sense imo#phan#dan and phil#misty says things#lampgate#< stealing this tag from jenna because I think it's funny

I watch Jake Broe's update videos on the war in Ukraine pretty religiously, so I wanted to share what he had to say in his latest video because I at least felt a little better about this whole new trumpocalypse fiasco after hearing some of the points he made.
Here's his tweet that summarises what he says in the video, but I would recommend still watching the whole thing! (I've bolded the main points)
Okay! We all needed a day to reflect on what happened and I have good news and bad news for Ukraine about Trump returning to the US Presidency.
Let's start with the bad news for Ukraine…
Trump could end all US military cooperation
Trump could lift all sanctions on Russia
Trump could return all frozen assets to Russia
Yes, that is all very bad, but there might be good news.
First, Trump is always transactional. It does not matter if Russia was helping Trump or not in the past, Trump does not feel like he owes anyone anything for past favors. If Trump ever gives something up, then he will want something in return at the same time.
Russia will make demands that Trump is happy to accommodate, but only if Russia agrees to something that makes Trump look good. If Russia refuses, then Trump will rapidly escalate against Russia out of spite. American weapons in Ukrainian hands have already killed hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers. Putin might refuse any kind of transactional deal with Trump. Nobody knows what either Trump or Putin will do. Trump could inadvertently destabilize Russia without even meaning to.
Second, Trump does not take over until January 20th, which means we know for a fact that Russia is not going to use a nuclear weapon before Trump returns to office. Russia is not going to start a nuclear war if they think Trump will give them favorable terms. Meaning there is no risk of escalation management the next two months. Take the gloves off!
For the next two months Ukraine should be given permission to hit whatever they want with whatever is given to them anywhere on Russian territory. Additionally, Biden now is forced to rush deliver and allocate the rest of America's available funds allocated by Congress to Ukraine this winter.
If instead Harris was re-elected and MAGA controlled Congress, military aid would have ended anyways and Biden would have tried to stretch these funds out until next summer. Biden can't do that now. So Ukraine is actually going to get a huge boost in military aid right away.
Third, even though I do not think Trump cares at all about Ukraine, he does care about his own image and legacy. He is never running for office ever again, but he loves to be loved by his supporters. He does not want to look weak and if Ukraine refuses to a negotiated capitulation and instead fights on without US help, these are going to be top headlines daily (maybe the fall of Kharkiv or the fall of Odesa) and this will make Trump look weak. He hates that. These would be images that would look worse for America than the US withdrawal of Afghanistan.
Forth, Trump hates Iran. Trump fiercely supports Israel and Iran is currently trying to destroy Israel. If Trump takes any military action against Iran (or looks the other way when Israel does) this could weaken or cripple one of Russia's most important allies. Harris was never going to do anything about Iran. Trump might actually cripple Iran and their Russian allied proxies in the Middle East.
Fifth, Trump loves the idea of cheap oil. He might actually find ways (cutting regulations, building more pipes, granting access to more public lands) that brings the global price of oil down so much that this ends up bankrupting Russia faster. That is not Trump's goal, but he might accidentally do it.
Sixth, Europe might finally militarily wake up once Trump stops answering their phone calls. Europe has the population and the economic power to support Ukraine and defeat the Russians without America's help. This is Europe's moment. They can't use America as an excuse anymore for holding them back.
Lastly… this is crazy, but Trump's economic plan of tariffs and trade wars might actually trigger a massive recession in the United States. When the US goes into recession, this almost always triggers a global recession. We realistically need an economic collapse of Russia to defeat them and Trump might accidentally cause this without even wanting to.
It is all weird to think about. But we just do not know what will happen or what the state of the war will be three months from now. It is a complete mystery to everyone, including the Russians.
Keep supporting Ukraine. Russia will be defeated.

Summary of results - Intercultural and cross-linguistic perspectives on the whump genre
Here is a summary of the results from the research thesis, "Intercultural and cross-linguistic perspectives on the whump genre"! This was part of my studying a Master of Contemporary International Studies. The research aimed to explore how whump-interested people connect with the whump genre cross-culturally and cross-linguistically.
Back in June/July this year (2023), I sent out a questionnaire open to any whump-interested person, and also invited interviews for bilingual whump-interested people. I've finally finished my thesis, and overall was awarded an A- for it!
The full thesis is available now to read on Academia.edu, and will also be available on IPU New Zealand's library website in January 2024.
This research was approved for Human Research Ethics Clearance by the IPU New Zealand Research and Development Commitee on 3rd May 2023 (HREC-2023-05-03-01).
----
(NB: Due to there being an extensive amount of results, I've only summarised the key findings of the results section and a brief conclusion here. I've referenced page numbers for the full thesis if you'd like to read the extended version.)
-----
Summary of results (Questionnaire)
233 respondents | 92 different cultural/faith-based identities
The questionnaire was used to answer Research Question 1, "How do the aspects of Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and Schwartz’ universal human values reflect in the characteristics of whump genre identity?"
The questionnaire explored four themes associated with whump genre concepts - “agency,” “comfort,” “stoicism,” and “knowledge” - and found (p. 87):
For the theme of “agency,” questionnaire participants tended to perceive a greater importance for agency for the caretaker and whumper roles. This may be related to the caretaker and whumper role characters’ abilities to carry out their roles of caretaking and whumping respectively. While the cultural dimensions did not appear to be factors inherent to the theme of agency for the whumpee role in a whump genre story, this appeared to work towards supporting the cross-cultural enjoyment of whump. For the theme of “comfort,” hurt comfort, physical comfort and long-term recovery may be more accommodating of cultural dimension dynamics and have a greater capacity to fully realise the goals of Schwartz’ values. For the theme of “stoicism,” the way in which these dimensions can so diversely be applied to this theme suggests a cross-culturally applicable ground. For the theme of “knowledge,” the balance between the certainty of a known whumpee and the uncertainty of an unknown whumper indicate variable tolerance of ambiguity within the whump genre. This suggests a cross-culturally applicable ground.
Summary of results (Interview)
The full results section for the questionnaire can be read in the full thesis (pp. 61-87).
-----
31 interviewees (15 spoken, 16 written) | 24 different languages
The interview was used to answer Research Question 2, "How do bilingual whump-interested people perceive the ability to convey themes of hurt comfort (a subgenre of whump) in different languages?"
The interview questions were categorised into themes:
Theme 1: Preferences for language when interacting with fiction
Theme 2: Comparisons of different languages’ abilities to convey physical and emotional pain
Theme 3: Limitations or difficulties experienced when conveying whump in, and across, different languages
Theme 4: Cultural, social, and/or linguistic reasons influencing pronunciation of “whump”
Following transcription of the interviews, a thematic analysis involving examining code co-occurences found (p. 123):
For “Theme 1: Preferences for language when interacting with fiction,” preferences tended to be associated with the availability of media, the ability to connect with the author’s intended meaning, and the level of ease and comfort with which interviewees could engage with the fictional media. For “Theme 2: Comparisons of different languages’ abilities to convey physical and emotional pain,” interviewees’ comparisons highlighted differing ways of presenting and conveying pain in language, for example, through language features and words. Overall, interviewees felt that the languages which they were fluent in were generally equally capable of conveying physical and emotional pain, although different languages tended to approach the communicating of pain in different ways. For “Theme 3: Limitations or difficulties experienced when conveying whump in, and across, different languages,” the perceived limitations and difficulties experienced across languages tended to be associated with difficulties in conveying semantic, pragmatic and cultural meaning across languages, and tended to stem from the differences between sociolinguistic approaches to communicating ideas in languages. For “Theme 4: Cultural, social, and/or linguistic reasons influencing pronunciation of “whump,” common cultural, social and linguistic reasons for interviewees’ pronunciations of “whump” included how interviewees expected the word to sound based on their expectations of the letters in the phonological environment, the impact of a lack of having heard the word spoken aloud, sociocultural influences, intuition and language education.
Conclusions (brief exerpt from p. 130)
The full results section for the interview can be read in the full thesis (pp. 61-87). Interview transcripts (sensitive details filtered out) can be read in Appendix H (pp. 177-399).
-----
Research Question 1 explored cross-culturally applicable aspects of the whump genre. The findings suggested that themes of the whump genre accommodate variations in cultural social orientations and values, thereby enabling an interculturally common ground among whump-interested people.
Using qualitative research (interview), Research Question 2 explored how bilingual whump-interested people perceive and connect with hurt comfort themes across different languages. The findings suggest that multiple factors contribute to how bilingual whump-interested people engage with the whump genre, including but not limited to first and second languages as a tool to experience closely or otherwise distance the subject with, the availability of whump media in different languages, and manner of conveying aspects of pain and comfort through lexical, phonetic, grammatical and cultural aspects of language.
----
Thank you to everyone who participated in the research - the questionnaire and/or the interview! Your voices are all important in this kind of research, and are all very much appreciated!

A month after Israeli allegations that a dozen United Nations staff were involved in the 7 October Hamas attack, UN investigators have yet to receive any evidence from Israel to support the claims though they expect some material to be forthcoming “shortly”. The allegations against the 12 employees of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) led 16 major donors to suspend contributions totalling $450m at a time when more than two million Gazans are facing famine. UNRWA says it is approaching “breaking point” and only has sufficient funds to continue functioning for the next month at most. The UN Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) launched an investigation on 29 January in the wake of the Israeli allegations initially presented to UNRWA in January, and delivered an update on its work to the UN secretary general, António Guterres, on Wednesday. Diplomats who saw the OIOS preliminary report said it contained no new evidence from Israel since the initial presentation of the claims in January – which were not backed by any proof. In summarising the findings, the UN spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, confirmed that the investigation had yet to receive corroborating material from Israel.

a lil good omens brainrotted update from your mascot
Hello my maggots it's nearly midnight here's how the brainrot's going (spoiler alert, there are no, uh, ripe braincells anymore).
I just spent a rather significant amount of time drawing leaves into my bullet journal (because it's Crowley themed this month).
That whole time I listened to first Crowley's apartment ambience and then to a bunch of Good Omens edits and got extremely emotional about it but in the best way. God I love this show.
Every day (it'S a-GEtTinG clOSeR) I have a stare-off with the Good Omens book that keeps me company on my desk.
It laughs in my face, daring me to read it.
I recall the last time I opened it (to summarise, I read a line about Crowley and burst into tears like the macho guy I am). I refuse.
We are locked in a battle of wills. Who will win, the book or I? I'm torn between wanting to read it so bad and the fear that I will never be emotionally stable again if I do.
Speaking of books, just for vibesies an update on the one I'm writing, I've written 7,200 words in the past six days (when I pulled the WIP out of its musty folder because of that post Neil made).
The page I made in the bullet journal was actually a writing tracker here lemme show y'all because I'm proud of the progress I made:
[Yes, that is the Good Omens book lurking in the top left, it's never far away. The battle is perpetual.]
Crowley quotesssss all the Crowley quotes I love them so much it's insane.
Also, I'm gonna go get yarn to I can continue my endeavour to learn crocheting to make a Crowley-beanie. @singalongpoppet is my guru and leader in this journey. Not sure if I'll manage it, but a guy can dream. Channeling my non-existent cottagecore era.
I am also considering getting a Plant.
Weirdly enough, this is not entirely brainrot, I was supposed to grow a plant back in January because my word thing of the year was Grow (the burden of prophecy is real).
However, I am dreadful at taking care of them, even succulents. I managed to kill a wild cactus that I brought home from a roadside. It survived several months but in the end being around me was too much for it, poor thing.
I assume there is a bit more to plant-parenting than misting them and screaming at them to GROW BETTER, so any advice, please?
End of update, I have no idea how to write conclusions so have a snapshot of the dynamic of Rian and Avi, the characters in the book I'm writing [spoiler alert: their dynamic is dumpster fire].
Love you my maggots have a wonderful brainrotted day xxx

Practice 1:
Assignment 2, Concept Art - Human and "Inhuman"
. Blog post 02
Here are some sketch analyses based on the interesting design points summarised in the previous blog.
A.Making the human organism grow like a plant
B.Integration of diverse organisms
C.Use of shape language
D.The human figure and the Uncanny valley
Transformation process between human and inhuman
I'll be applying these interesting design points to my concept design.
My final design was inspired by the horrific creatures of the Cthulhu novel "The Shadow over Innsmouth" that were mutated by the local humans. These creatures are a combination of human and sea life.
My character has a graphic representation of the letter D, emphasising the tension of the character, with the two main design centres being the shoulders and the head, next to which I have placed directional 'octopus tentacles'.
shape language:
The character's toes are tangled together, giving it a twisted and awkward look.
final:
This is all for now, thanks for reading.

Suspicious offerings
You may remember that I said in one of my past blog posts how important it is to inform yourself about methods for hacking etc. - obviously not, because I want to teach you how to cheat, but knowledge will always be the key and your trump card to prevent yourself from scammers.
Today, I stumpled over a suspicious offering. From time to time I check classifieds, because sometimes you can be lucky and dig out a little treasure. However, this time I found an offering of a used Pokemon Diamond card. In the description it was highlighted that a rare Pokemon is on the card, an Arceus which was only distributed in Japan and it was not „traded via a module“. To proof that the mentioned Arceus is on the card, some photos were shown. I‘m attaching them for you. Please take a minute and look for hints, why this Arceus might be suspicious:
Ok, you may have already an impression what is going on here. Let me summarise everything what seems wrong here:
Arceus was redeemed/received in January 2021. Pokemon Diamond is a Generation 4 game. All distributions took place around 2010 - to be fair, the redemption date is the date of the DS system, therefore 2021 is not completely impossible, but at least very strange and let‘s say „uncommon“
Every event Pokémon is a fateful encounter which is „Schicksalshafte Begegnung“ in German. This phrase is completely missing.
This Arceus was caught in a Master Ball - event Pokemon are usually (not all!) carried in a Cherish Ball
This Arceus is level 80, but all Arceus distributed in Generation 4 were level 100.
The OT and TID seem to be custom, I‘m pretty sure that this is the OT and the TID of the trainer himself - or rather the trainer who caught it.
There was only one Arceus distributed in Japan - the Cinema Arceus - and its data are different from this one (OT, TID, level, Poke Ball, …)
Now, we can guess what it is or where it was obtained. Actually, I do believe that this Arceus itself was not transfered with the help of any kind of module. And I‘m aware of two possibilities: it is either an Azure Flute Arceus or an Arceus obtained over the Void glitch - which is basically the Azure Flute Arceus as well. That this Arceus is really an Azure Flute Arceus can be confirmed by the find spot: „Halle d. Beginns“ which is „Hall of Origin“ in English.
You may have already heard about the Azure Flute Arceus - it is the Arceus from Pokemon Brilliant Diamand & Shining Perl (BDSP) which all shiny hunters are after it, because shiny Arceus became accessible. And you also know that BDSP are the remakes of Pokemon Diamond & Perl, so it seems logical that the Azure Flute was also accessible in the original games, right? Unfortunately not.
The Azure Flute was meant to be distributed through an event in Japan, but it never happened. That the Azure Flute item was programmed into the game, it was already known, but after several years it was finally confirmed by Junichi Masuda that they have decided to not distribute the Azure Flute. So, literally, any Azure Flute Arceus from Generation 4 is somehow hacked, because the Wonder Card and the item have to be injected in your game, otherwise the in-game event would not be triggered. But even if no external module was used to inject the necessary things, a glitch has to be used. And just for those who are curious: you will not be able to port up this Arceus to a higher generation. Pokemon Bank will not accept it at the latest.
Here is the point what bothers me the most in this context:
The guy who offers this Pokemon Diamond card with a hacked Pokemon is advertising that it is a rare Pokemon.
Additionally, he is rising the price of this card, because of its „more value“ due to the „rare Pokemon“
If you are not that deep into the topics of event Pokemon, you may not have noticed it
It is the same like last time: it is absolutely fine if you do hacks and glitches just for yourself, but it is an absolute No-Go if you are trying to trade or sell it without telling its correct origin - whether consciously or unconsciously does not matter.
I‘m currently thinking about reporting this offer, but I have just little hopes, because this is such a niche - and most people care more about if the game itself is real of fake.
I can only recommend: keep continue to inform yourself and be suspicious every time and everywhere. And sadly, this was an easy case…

The topic will be N/JD, but I would like to venture into the topic of friendship... (opinion blog)
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm closer in age to Nic than Luke or even JD, but of course I'm past all that :) And like N, I'm a Capricorn (8th January) so I think I know what makes them(Capricorns) tick.
I don't think N is playing games or trying to make someone jealous, or deliberately putting a fake relationship under the public's nose.
But what I can imagine is that she would accept it if the public/the fandon assumed it. I don't think she feels the urge to put things right. What would be the point?
N is very aware of what's going on in SM and the fandom BUT she's a very normal young woman who, by all accounts, is very down to earth. She can't spend her life on tiptoe, that would drive you crazy. Like most other people, she needs social contact. And N paints the picture of herself that she likes to communicate and that it's important to her to socialise. She also needs to be allowed to be herself, we all know that she is obviously very touchy, which I for one can understand very well. I also make contact through touch, I hug most people I meet to greet them, when I speak to people I know I touch them on the arm etc.
So why shouldn't she hold a close friend in her arms at a concert? You have to assume that her friends know the whole situation very well, which means they will also try to protect her. They will want to make sure that she is okay, that she feels safe. (As we saw in the pap pics with Camilla)
My best friend and I (as an example) met during a difficult time in our lives. We cooked together in the beginning, watched a film, cuddled to keep us both sane. We still treat each other very lovingly today, are very close and often have a sense of whether the other person is doing well or not, even if we don't hear each other for a while. His wife doesn't know our friendship any differently and is completely fine with it. What I want to say is that friendship can look like this (you could project all this onto L/N but THAT is a completely different matter. If you're interested in what I think about it, feel free to ask a question, or wait, maybe I'll feel like summarising it all at some point.
I can see friends in the picture of N/JD. I don't sense any sexual tension. And even if there was something, shouldn't she just be allowed to be happy? As much as I love the LUKOLA idea, some things don't happen the way or at the time you want them to. Things like that take time, especially as the situation here is anything but simple. There's so much in the dark that we don't know and probably never will. LUKOLA is and will remain a long-distance run, I was aware of that from the start. Have faith in the universe if they are meant to be together, they will be together at some point. Always think positively because the positive comes to people who are open to positive change.

Could you tell us more about Mikita? He’s such an interesting character to me, and all of your artwork of him is beautiful :)
youre in luck because hes my darling son and i love him dearly. the titular "ghost" of the attic; in reality hes just a slightly depressed and very bad at socializing teenager. very prone to isolation and the physical embodiment of loneliness (which, as i said before, is one of the main themes of the story!). I summarised his personality in one of the pictures below, so to share something new (this will be long and mostly backstory! sorry):
although he was born in a pretty well-off family somewhere in the Minsk governorate, he spent most of his childhood in a private school in Vilnius. Hes blind (as in, his sight is blurry, cannot see in the dark at all and glasses dont help, but can for example read if the letters are big enough) and was around 7 years old when starting school, and therefore required some assistance in a completly foreign city, which was provided to him by Apolonia, a former governess (not the right word but i havent seen any reliable translations; a governess was a private teacher after the age of 6/7. What i mean here is bona, a woman who was hired to take care of and properly raise children aged 3-7, while also being their (usually foreign language) teacher) of the house. Apolonia always was a mother figure to him, and those long years in Vilnius only brought them closer. She was also very active in the artistic, anti tsarist national and cultural liberation circles (it is the latter half of 19th century after all, and Apolonia herself was raised durning the january uprising), sharing and distributing illegal literature, which is what got her arrested (and, consequently, killed) in the end. Because of their close bond, Mikita took a lot of his traits after her, both in terms of personality (god was he unbearable at 14 but thats what happens when no one liked him for who he was and his peers bullied him, the only person he cared about actively put him above other children, isolating him in the process even more, and it all created this miserable circle of isolation for protection, geniuine hatered for the world and complete dependance on one person he was actively shown he was loved by) and general identity (both of them come from mixed/polonised belarusian families and consider themselves belarusian, which is very important to them, and his surname is actually her real surname, as both of them at some point began pretending that he is her actual son). In the end she died of sickness (which he theorized was caused by infection from injuries) in prison and Mikita was expelled from school for owning illegal literature and few other things at roughly the same time. Unwilling to go back "home", he took the opportunity at his mothers "funeral" - Artur and Eliza Kowalewicz, close friends of his mother, believing he just lost his only family member, offered to take him in to their family manor (though by polish terminology it should be called a palace), somewhere in the middle of nowhere in congress Poland, for as long as he needs.
#i hope its readable im not proof reading any of that#as you can see. i love mikita#their relationship is complicated and also too long to explain but i hope you get the general idea#duch na strychu#ask :)

i asked you a while ago whether the next tidbit of TLT content would be the nona paperback short story and you gave a very nice well-formed answer summarising what you expected... and you were right... and now i'm back again because i can't find the post and i'm also losing my mind trying to figure out when we'll get a taste of alecto. do we know when tamsyn finished writing nona relative to cover reveals and things? we were so spoiled with harrow + as yet unsent + like 6 preview chapters back to back we barely had to wait. and now it's been a year and a half. and she's still writing. are we going to see a thing before 2025?
im guessing it’s this ask?
when i read htn in 2020 i was assuming we’d get alecto in 2021 (haha) so honestly ive been waiting so long that im just chilling these days. for me, alecto is just gonna get here when it gets here and i take it as it comes. i don’t have any real information on any of this other than past experience, but since my last post turned out to be correct here’s some more of my guesses:
genuinely have no idea if we’ll see anything pre-2025. id imagine that tor will release ~something~ just to keep the hype going, but who knows. to answer your question, nona was originally part i of alecto and so im assuming muir had finished the vast majority of ntn by the time it was announced the trilogy was splitting into a series, and then the cover release happened in january with the book release following in september
i believe the alecto cover has been confirmed finished for a while now, so really it’s just whenever they decide to release that, but i think they’ll follow a similar timeline to the nona the ninth cover release approx 9 months prior (with snippets following). but with the huge gap who knows maybe they’ll throw us some extra stuff.
overall: id imagine the whole release schedule of everything all depends on how close muir is to a finished product, which is anyone’s guess
#asks#this is vague wish i could give a better timeline#but im just wildly speculating here#mostly taking the watched pots never boil approach tbh#im just patiently waiting these days#the locked tomb#alecto the ninth

Planets Around Sun-Like Stars - January 31st, 1996.
"Do many Sun-like stars have planets? Speculation on this point has been ongoing since humanity's realisation that other stars existed. Only beginning in 1995, however, have answers and discoveries been realised. The above plot summarises the four known cases of normal stars having planets. These cases are: our Solar System, 51 Pegasi, 70 Virgini, and 47 Ursae Majoris. The later two cases were discovered by astronomers led by Geoff Marcy and Paul Butler as part of a greater project, inspecting 120 stars for orbiting planets. Interestingly enough, the planets around the later two stars have temperatures in the right range to allow liquid water - and hence may have conditions ripe for the development of life."

Who remembers this doozy?
Harry will be dining out on that first line for all of eternity. It's their whole PR shtick summarised in five words - everything that follows is a poor attempt at a smokescreen.

Launching My Free Newsletter!
I’ve been receiving a lot of support from everyone following my blog/ liking my content, which I’m very grateful and appreciative of. Because of your support, I’ve decided to go ahead and launch a free newsletter based on my two articles: On Being Well Read and On Being Well Spoken.
“Uncultured” will be a weekly newsletter, delivered to your email every week.
In it, you will receive 3 short articles on topics that can enrich and cultivate your mind. It will be bite-sized information that will take you not more than 10 minutes or so to read.
The aim is to keep it so simple than even someone who dislikes reading will not mind spending a few minutes of their week reading and learning something new.
Why the name “Uncultured?”
I thought it would be ironic to name a culture newsletter that, instead of a dainty, polished name. In my culture you’ll also hear : “you’re so uncultured!” as a reprimand very often from our older generations, so its a bit of a play on words.
My content will include:
Luxury and travel
Business and start ups (interesting start ups, economics, a little bit of finance and real estate)
History and culture (such as art, wines, architecture, different cultures across the globe)
Summarising academic articles I’ve read in an easier language
What Uncultured is NOT about:
Political statements
Heavy reads
Jargons
Making my readers pay for anything - this will be absolutely free
Uncultured will launch on 8th January, 2023.
