#jane: martial arts club

The more I read danmei in my monthly book club that I otherwise wouldn’t have read or even known about, the more it becomes painfully clear that most of the mdzs fandom (and possibly the other 2 mxtx fandoms but I’m not as well versed with them) have not interacted with the genre at large beyond mxtx, and it shows in the meta analysis people make (especially westerners).

And I am not excluding myself here! So much of my initial assumptions and interpretations of mdzs has changed after reading other danmei authors, especifically the less western-internet-popular ones.

My point is this: when reading a book from a culture that is not your own and in an unfamiliar genre, it will be impossible to grasp all the intricacies and subtleties nestled within the narrative and characterization until you’ve become more familiar with the culture and genre itself.

Don’t limit yourself to mxtx. There are more and more danmei being translated into English by publishing houses and even more are fan translated.

If you’re looking for a place to start, I have some recommendations!

1. Golden Terrace by Cang Wu Bin Bai.

Literally one of my favorite books I’ve ever read in my life, and I’m an English major. It is only 2 books and both are already published, so you won’t have to wait. The most tender, loving relationship I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about. The translation is phenomenal, and it feels very similar to Jane Austen in its diction, plot, and characterization. I literally cannot explain with words how much I love this book.

2. To Rule in a Turbulent World by Gu Xue Rou

This series is just being translated and published, so it may take a while for the other books (I think 3-4?) will be out, but don’t let that scare you away! Without too much spoilers, the vibes of this first book reminds me of Harvest Moon games. Also a very sweet and tender main couple. Plus, this book is written by a male author!! Pretty rare in danmei, at least to my knowledge.

3. Thousand Autumns by Qian Qiu

Pretty dense with lots of philosophy, poetry references, and a more traditional wuxia world. This series is finished with 5 books in total. I had a hard time reading the first book, mostly because I didn’t connect that much with the mc at first, but I loved the world building and all the information I learned. I did eventually start connecting with the mc and ended the series fully besotted! Not a quick or easy read, but a worthwhile one.

4. Ballad of Sword and Wine by Tang Jiu Qing

The first book is out for this series, with the second being published later this month. It’s going to be a long one like tcgf, so it is a commitment read—but absolutely worth it!! Lots of palace politics and more Taoist-focused martial arts (think Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). It is both fast and slow burn (I know that doesn’t make sense now; trust me, it will later on) and the main character is SO FASCINATING!! I want to study him like a bug. The overall characterization is phenomenal. The cast can be… intimidating, as there are a LOT of named characters, but they’re mostly there for world building (and the world building is fantastic!). Also, the translation here is GORGEOUS. You can tell it was translated by a writer, or at least someone who’s read the whole text (you’d be surprised…)—everything is so vivid!

once you get to know me, i take on more of a big sister role !! i'll often act as a shoulder to cry on, and someone who will always support their friends no matter what. i'm usually the go-to person whenever you need any kind of advice ! even if i don't have any experience or don't even listen to my own advice, i always have something to say !

first of all, journalism !!! i wanted to be a journalist as a child, but due to certain circumstances, i switched career paths. in jhs ( gr 7 - gr 10 ) i was a part of the journalism club and wrote for the school paper. i was the associate news editor in grade 7, news editor in grade 8, and i got to be the editor-in-chief for the school paper in grade 9 and grade 10. i was able to bag multiple awards for my school, and i am still openly very passionate about journalism and writing.  

i am also into martial arts, and am currently a red belt in taekwondo. i also do ballet, but recently i haven't been able to attend the studio due to my classes and frequently booked schedule (ᗒᗩᗕ) in my free time, i play badminton and volleyball with my friends !  

i also don't know whether or not this counts as a passion, but i do love to help people. i am currently taking the humss strand in order to become a psychologist ! i love to analyze everything, and i love being able to help those around me. （☆/＞u＜/） apart from those, i enjoy reading, art and many more !!!

as i stated up above, i like to read !! i read a lot of psychological horror, mystery, thriller, fantasy, etc. my favorite authors are jane austen and lewis carroll — i am very fond of classical novels. my obsession has gotten to the point that my family and friends will forcibly tear me away from the bookstore whenever we happen to come across one.  

i also genuinely enjoy cleaning and gardening. since i was young, i've always been helping my grandma around the house, and i picked up her hobby of gardening. my dad owned a farm as well, so that only played into my interest of gardening. i also enjoy cooking and baking, other traits i picked up from my grandmother ! 

i'm a big makeup enthusiast. ever since i was a child, i really enjoyed doing my mother's makeup ( i did my dad's too ) so it kind of just grew on me huhu. i especially like whenever my male friends would let me put makeup on them and dress them up so i can make fun of them afterwards hihi ♡ ～('▽^人) 

now when it comes to my dislikes, i totally hate when people take advantage of my shyness ,,who wouldn't bro !? i also dislike getting touched by anyone who's not someone i trust, so when i decide to randomly cling onto someone it's just a sign that i trust them.  

my love language is definitely quality time, as i find it the most genuine love languages of all five. others' gifts and words may be insincere, but spending time with my loved one ( in silence or not ) is what i love most, and it really shows that i'm comfortable enough around them.

What's your opinion on each club leader?

I don't really care much for the clubs of Akademi. When I first joined, I planned to join a literature club, but for some reason there isn't one. But, club leaders are a whole different story. Amai is a very sweet girl. I like her cupcakes. She actually visits the library often too - Mainly for recipe books, though she did once take out "Jane Eyre" for maybe a week. Very active in the community. I don't know Oka very well, despite her often presence around me. She's just there. But, she is always reading advanced literature, classic literature and occult practice. I should also mention that she kept the library alive and functioning before I joined Akademi. All the library posters, and librarian resources, are signed with her name. I think we could be friends. Geiju is nice. I like his art. We're actually very similar people. I suppose there isn't much more to say... Kizana... really lives up to her last name, "sunobu". She's so ostentatious. I don't necessarily dislike her, but I would prefer if she stays well away from me and the library. The only time she has been in the library is borrowing a book with a boy that she was probably trying to impress. I've never talked to any member of the photography club. I can't tell you my opinions on Fureddo. I do wish he'd pay more attention towards the library, and peaceful areas like the zen gardens. I feel some photos of these areas may give them the appreciation they deserve. Miyuji is too loud, performing or not. I can hear her voice belting all throughout the school. Students complain every morning, a teacher marches up and tells them to quieten down, they stop for five minutes and then come back even louder. I detest her lifestyle overall, but she probably feels the same way about me.

Budo is a respectful boy. He appreciates the Zen gardens, and even sometimes reads - nothing over 150 pages, though. He's trying harder that most boys his age atleast. His martial arts shows are actually enjoyable - he has really mastered his art. Uekiya is, atleast to me, very similar to Amai, but one thing that's for sure is that she has a significantly shorter temper. Once, I had to go to her garden to get a book, only to ask her club members where it is and find out that she locked it in the garden shed because I didn't wish a good day back to her when she was leaving the library. I'm sure I caught her on a bad day.

Gema is what I believe is called a shut-in, or Hikkikomori. I don't know how he managed to get into Akademi. Quite a few people would go so far as to say they hate him, but I don't mind him as much. He could tone down his attitude, though. I believe it would make him more likeable. Though I don't like sport, Asu is an... ok person. She doesn't really like reading, but one could say that what she can't do academically she can do times ten thousand physically. I struggle to care for anything she does, but I'm sure if I liked sports, I would want to be her best friend.

How She Fits the Trope: The Pollyanna is a trope about a girl who always seems happy, and pleasant, and good no matter what happens to them in life. And their life has not been an easy one, Samantha’s life certainly hasn’t been, but it doesn’t matter, because their outlook is always sunny. There is a term in psychology called The Pollyanna Principle, or Pollyannaism, which is the tendency in people to remember pleasant things better than unpleasant things (the term has become overused and diluted in recent years but toxic positivity). That is very much Samantha to a T. Connection with Greer: Samantha met Greer in High School, though mostly she knew her … just as the girl who was the most popular. Everyone loved Greer, she was so pretty, and complemented people in the hallways and stuff. Samantha is aware that a lot of people say she was very fake, and she doesn’t really know one way or another, but she always seemed very nice to her. She also had a few interactions with Greer through Ollie, when they were out partying together and it ended up back in NYC. They didn’t really hang out but once again, they were always fairly pleasant interactions. The only real significant interaction Samantha had with Greer was one night in High School when she was a freshman and Greer was a Junior, she was getting out of one club later in the night and apparently Greer was getting out of some club, or sport, or whatever. The guys just laughed at her and continued to be skeevy jerks, so she kicked one of them in the junk, and flipped the other off his feet when he tried to advance on her– it was easy, with Sam being so well versed in Tae Kwon Do after all. Greer found it very amusing, and took Sam home in the fancy car that had come to pick her up. She ordered milkshakes for them and they chatted a little bit before she dropped her off. That’s really where the interaction began and ended beyond the casual greetings once in a while, but it was a pleasant experience.

FACTS

Samantha grew up with her Grandfather because her parents were unfit to raise her due to their addiction problems. They aren’t really in her life anymore, but she sees them maybe once a year if that. Her father more than her mother (since she lives with her paternal Grandpa), neither of whom are together. The last time she saw her mom was probably when she was sixteen, her dad came to her High School graduation though.

She grew up next door to Ollie. He’s like an older brother to her, really and they love each other very much. They don’t hang out, or spend much social time together because they have… almost nothing in common, but she cares about him very much. May or may not be taking over the business for him after he graduates.

She went to the same high school as Greer and all of those fancy rich people on a scholarship for all the impressive awards she managed to win for literary things.

She is very straight edge!!

So first of all a detective agency where Watson and Holmes stay at Baker street to be like the Conan Doyle books is just hilarious like who decided this-

And Shirley says she isn’t the real Sherlock Holmes but she’s one of the best adaptations of the character I’ve ever seen.

Jane Watson so Watson too I love her-

Shirley and Watson break into a Bachelor’s club in drag, which the whole time I couldn’t tell of the club was extremely sexist or gay or both (probably both) and someone says two imposters are in the club but can’t identify them. So the guys who have crushes on them stand up, declare that they’re secretly women and leave follows by whispers of “I always knew it”. Also everyone was being asked to prove they’re a man by either swearing on a gentlemen’s word or apparently ending an iron poker which is apparently preferable to this club then being a woman, which causes zero property damage but anyway-

And the swearing on your word as a gentlemen apparently works because everyone is too wholesome to straight lie, Watson is having a mini panic attack I just love these people-

Not to reveal too much but a character has to do a song and dance apology to another which is just everything to me.

And Lestrade feels like he misjudged Holmes so to make it up he offers to Marry Her and asks Biggs to marry Watson so they can and I quote “sit by the fire and read Conan Doyle.” Which honestly just seems like a convoluted way to propose to Biggs considering that bromance going on, but Biggs turns him down saying he’s already read the books so Lestrade calls off the weddings. (Plural.) Man was either ready to get married for a book club or just wanted an excuse to hang out with Biggs and either way I Stan.

We also have Holmes through people around martial arts style which is just so damp and I love it.

And Holmes and Watson kissing (you pay attention to this modern adaptations you hear me) and then Watson going back to the car to her bf while Holmes walks off into the fog, wiping her eyes. (My poor baby does not want to share her qpp but wants Watson to be happy I love her-) It really represents Holmes’ aroaceness that I love and is really relatable for when the friends you platonically love pay more attention to their romantic partners and leave you feeling a bit left out. I love the representation.

Then Lestrade meets up with her and he seems to like her a bit but to me this seems like the start of their very strong friendship that defined his role in the books and I love it honestly.

And I also love “Biggs came with me.”

What, what is this I love this.

And Holmes being like “Men should never be alone, especially not in the fog,” and walking him home like what a gentlewoman I love her. It’s also funny like Lestrade was a raging sexist by the start of this but he was still like “Come on Biggs you can’t speak over women and you have to let them go through the door first,” like man is the king of benevolent sexism.

And also the parallel between the sexist way they expected the women to behave and the things that the men actually did. Also the movie didn’t have any Chekhov’s guns, everything we were introduced to became important.

Also in the start they were talking about Holmes dressing in drag for cases so when Shirley showed up that’s what I thought was going on, was not expecting the gender bend. When I did realise Holmes was a woman I subconsciously decided that this meant she’d transitioned and even after they explained about the detective agency choosing someone named Holmes to match the book I low key stuck with that and I love it. Holmes and Watson transitioned and invented Conan Doyle as as excuse my reality is amazing you should join me-

So yeah, in conclusion, this movie is amazing please watch it so I’m not the only one losing my mind. I’m queuing this so I’ll be reminded to watch the other moves bc apparently op’s taste is impeccable.

How does resident regular medic Shining factor into Rhodes Island's growing club of regular and normal people like Jaye

Shining is disqualified from the I'm Just A Little Guy/Gal club on virtue of her having intentionally, willingly weaponized her backstory on several occasions already.

I can see why you'd think she fits in there, what with her insistence on being a Medic instead of being a Dynasty Warriors character, but the main crux of just being a normal dude/tte is that you do NOT want to ever be put in a situation and you run away from your backstory. Jaye fills a strange, bizarro normal dude space in that he really is convinced he's a normal guy and he's not aware he's not, so he can't even weaponize his backstory even if he wanted, and Mr. Nothing and Shalem, the prime examples, cry and moan and scream and run away from their backstory until they have absolutely no choice but to weaponize it, such as Mr. Nothing being completely willing to not harm a Pincerbeast and look like a fool and maybe even get hurt in the process if it meant he didn't have to use his martial skills, and only really throwing hands for the first time when a Bitey was going to eat a girl because he's fine being a clown but he's not going to stand around and watch a child get killed, and Shalem had to be completely and utterly cornered, quite literally, in his room, before he did anything remotely close to not running from his backstory.

Shining, on the other hand, shows up, and does this

She literally just stands there and everyone goes "Oh Fuck Oh Shit" like she's fully aware that they understand The Implication Of Her Presence. She's the actual Category 10, DEFCON 1 Woman Moment. Platinum and a bunch of other assassins were going to get wild and wet in the Maria Nearl event, then Shining shows up, says "🙎" and Platinum immediately calls it off, nope, not getting butchered tonight. She's not even remotely pretending to be a just a birthday girl, she has and will continue to weaponize The Implication Of Her Presence. Absolutely everyone is aware that she's not just a normal Jane, hell, even if she DID pretend otherwise, she's still a top notch Sarkaz healer who knows secret Sarkazian healing arts, she's as far from Normal Squad as you can get. Compare and contrast with Mr. Nothing who comes across as "charlatan", Shalem who everyone just knows as Bob the Builder, and Jaye who makes tasty treats.

ALL IN ONE LEGACY CHALLENGE: REVISITED!

Not too long ago, I had asked if you guys would like me to rewrite my All In One legacy challenge that is based off the LEPacy challenge! I decided, why not? I have attempted this challenge multiple times but the only reason that I have not gotten through is because I am never happy with my founder- but, now, it is 2022, and I have made this challenge a few years ago and I think it needs some touching up. This challenge spans from the base game and ends with Into The Future, though you can continue on after if you would like to.

Notes: You can either play this like the original legacy challenge rules where you are not allowed to use cheats, etc. or you can play this however you want! I personally do not mind using cheats and stuff. Challenge under the cut!

 GENERATION ONE: THE BASE GAME

Recommended World: Sunset Valley, or any world.

The very beginning. How lovely to start out when the sims 3 was just only the base game?

·         Have your founder get a career that comes from the base game (science, military, etc.)

·         Have your founder meet the love of their life

·         You may choose to get married or don’t get married

·         You may not have kids until you reach at least level three of career

·         Pick a hobby and reach between level three to five (Gardening, Logic, etc.)

·         Rake up some cash and work at a part time job until you reach level two of that career, and quit when you realize this isn’t for you!

·         Have the Master Magician, Master Acrobat, or Vocal Legend aspiration (depends on the career you choose)

Why is that same family member showing up again? This time they were in some freaky teen wolf movie. Ew, that blood totally looked fake. However, right after the show went off, they always showed off these spooky looking towns and it only made you want to travel to them to see them for yourself.

speaking of hobbies, we know that Kendall is a Bojack, Star Wars and He-Man (as a kid, which is adorable) fan, but what do you think Shiv and Roman like? I feel like Shiv would love stuff like Midsommar and Gone Girl but also be secretly fond of Vulcans on Star Trek, and Roman would let everyone think he was a Fight Club redditbro but really he understands it.

Ooo, yes! I love that Kendall's canonically into kind of nerdy, boyish stuff, haha. Jeremy's also mentioned that he thinks Kendall would be really into Bruce Lee and martial arts movies, which I think feels like a pretty natural extension of that?

We actually see Shiv reading Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney in the s2 finale, which surprised me at the time, but feels reall in character for her the more I've thought about it. I kind of like the thought that she's a bit of a reader, and particularly into women's literature (especially given she often doesn't otherwise feel that connected to women) – that she probably grew up on things like Judy Blume and The Babysitter's Club, and graduated to Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters and Sylvia Plath, and now reads contemporary fiction like Sally Rooney, and My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh and Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata.

I feel like it creates this interesting sort of parallel to Kendall in a sense, because while on paper these are super different interests, they're also not. They're both a sort of escapism that highlights a lack in their own life. Kendall's drawn to stories about strength (or finding strength), hero journeys and created families, while Shiv's drawn to a world of femininity, stories about the middle and lower class, and relationships and communities of women.

I totally love your headcanon too of Roman being into Fight Club but actually getting it, haha. Given he laughed in a bookstore, I don't think he's much of a reader, and I can't really see him being into comics or even music. He's the sort of guy I think is probably on his phone the whole way through a movie too, but I do think he likes movies (I mean, hey, he's written a screenplay, haha), and probably thinks of it as his thing. He probably loves things like Donnie Darko and Nightcrawler, but also dumb big popcorn fare like Transformers, haha.

The club feels like home. It was one of Mon biggest worries before starting high school: in middle school already, she spent all her free time in the martial arts club, even if she wasn't good enough to take part in most of the competitions, relegated to the bleachers to cheer for her friends. It didn't matter. What matters is that when she loses a fight, there is always someone to help her to get back on her feet, and when she wins everyone cheers her up. What matters is that Nac is always ready to gently tease her. What matters is that the day she splayed her ankle, Art didn't hesitate to carry her on his back to the infirmary and Jane took her bags and stayed until the curfew to chat and laugh with her. What matters is that she has a place here, and she doesn't feel it the same in the Gifted class. Winning feels good, of course. She will not lie and pretends she doesn't enjoy to be the champion of the school. But what Mon loves more is the way her body seems to know exactly what it's doing. It's like she's becoming a precision machine, perfectly calibrated to fight. Adrenalin runs in her veins and it's joy, joy to win as much as joy to do what she loves with her friends. It's joy to be herself (because her potential is herself). Pang understands, maybe. She isn't sure. But he knows a side of her that her friends don't even suspect the existence, he knows consequences and powers. Her potential has no secondary effects, she says, and she believes it, believes she has drawn the longest straw of the bunch, until there are consequences. She hurts them, she realizes, she hurts her friends in more ways she thought possible. Mon hears the jealousy in their voices and feels the anger in their punches. They fight her like their enemy, and she is, in fact. She poisoned them, minds and bodies and souls. And if every kind word Art ever said to her is now a thorn under her skin, well, she has only herself to blame, hasn't she? She is a worst one under his skin. She can't have all the nice things, she realizes, her club and victory under her fingers (and it's not even a choice she can make, it was never one to start with, because if Mon could give up her potential and have her friends back, she will do it without hesitation). She wins, because it's her potential to do so, without a sweat, but not without tears.

( . .)φ Lucas thought of his father as an idol when he was young, unknowing of the things that he did. Lucas was not mature enough to realize the pain that he caused on his mother, as well as their entire family both financially and emotionally. Essentially, his father sugarcoated friendship and love with Lucas made him feel like his father was "the good guy" so to speak by lying to Lucas frequently and always covering his tracks. However, sugar will fade away with a few drops of water, no matter how hard you try to hide something it will show through eventually, which is exactly what happened during high school once he had realized the truth about his father's role in their life. Nowadays, his father has such a negative influence in his life that he doesn't know what to call him anymore although his favorite word for him is lying ass mother fucker.

And when he's inside of the octagon for a mixed martial arts competition or even doing a street fight for cash, his fists strike almost as fast as he does running down the basketball court. He is also the one who'd taught Jane how to throw a football along with the rules of the sport.

Character: Friend and ally to the Hamato clan; love interest to Leo.

Love Interest: Leo is considered her primary love interest as he's the turtle I tend to ship her with. Originally was going to be with Raph but I felt like Leo needed someone that could connect with him on a personal intimate level and it all spiraled from there. Their ship name is Cotton Candy Ninjas!

- Body type and height varies by actress/art style, but she is typically portrayed as a African American female

- Brown skin (medium-dark tones); curly-kinky hair worn in protective styles.

- Pink is the dominant color in her wardrobe; tends to wear trendy fashions

Personality

Most iterations of Kaysha depicts her as a bubbly and passionate young woman. Her biggest flaws can be her hidden insecurities and tendencies to be a drama queen. She can also get frustrated easily if things don't go her way. Later on, she becomes more patient and brave, learning to keep herself levelheaded on missions and real world. A true romanticist at heart, Kaysha always tries her best to see the positive side of things. She has a thing for "shipping" people and encourages folks to find their true love. Not much can bring her down.

Abilities

In every continuity she's in, Kaysha does not develop superpowers. This leaves her with normal human weaknesses and limitations.

Her preferred weapons are bladed war fans and tanto, and she is adept at close range. She lacks long range and is not a fast agile fighter, so she relies on quick thinking, stealth and evasion tactics.

Another skill she possesses is using her knowledge of fashion to create intricate disguises. This is especially helpful in undercover missions. Her friendly demeanor allows her to communicate with allies easily.

Backstory: Her backstory involves her being a vocal opponent of the Purple Dragons, unwilling to see her brothers fall victim to gang violence. Due to the nature of the franchise the exact story of how she met the turtles changes. Typically, she would meet them either completely on accident or they save her from a bad guy and her curiosity gets the better of her and she goes to look for her mysterious rescuers.

- She doesn't trust hair salons

- Kaysha is a fan of baseball, even thought of giving her a bat as a mean weapon but I didn't want to copy Casey's schtick

- Kaysha never turns into a mutant, I don't want to change a fundamental part of her character

- In Bayverse Kaysha is a blogger who highlights urban legends and cryptids

- 2003!Kaysha appears in s1 but does not know about the turtles yet. She does find out in season 2, which later kicks off her arc of becoming a kunoichi

- 2007!Kaysha knew about Raph being the Nightwatcher; while fearing for his safety she also knew the city needed protectors and kept this secret from Leo.

- 2012!Kaysha is by far the youngest at around 14 years old; most others are 17/18 depending on the Turtles's age range

- She is said to be a great singer

- Character Inspo: Belle (Beauty in the Beast), Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury), Mulan (Disney version), Stella (Winx Club), Stella Monroe (Rainbow High), Mercedes(Glee) and Mary Jane Watson (Spider-Man series)

- Originally she was going to wield a katana to match up with Leo before I decided to give her a personal weapon

- She was also going to be the long range fighter but a found a lot of girl characters have long range/arrows so Kaysha has a melee weapon

- The Tessen idea came from the 2012 meaning; the significance for Kaysha's tessens is her confidence and comfort in her battle style

- Rise!Kaysha uses hearts in her design (shoulders, face shape, earrings)

- 87!Kaysha is a roommate of Mona Lisa and not paired with Leo

- Kaysha was written to be a love interest for Raph before I switched him with Leo

- Her original color was cyan/light green because she was something of a replacement to Venus de Milo

BACKSTORY AND TALENT

Unlike Taka, who got his talent from his time as head of his school’s disciplinary force and as a hall monitor, MoralCompass!Myth got her talent from being a part of the student council, as well being the class rep and part of several extracurricular activities (such as the cheerleading, baking and literature club). On top of maintaining her high GPA, she has a natural charisma to her, due to her compassionate and ambitious attitude! This makes it easier for her to get the positions that she got, thanks to the great PR she gained from said attitude. She strives to find any way she can to improve her school, from kickstarting several fundraisers, to giving some funds to under-appreciated classes and clubs, such as performing and visual arts. She continues to carry her ambitious, go-getter attitude into her adult years, and especially as a chaperone to the Ultimates and Jr. Ultimates!

Wyre Anon, Former Ultimate Baseball Player

These two energetic and ambitious Anons have been best friends, ever since Myth was asked to tutor Wyre, when they were children. Their bond is still going strong well into their high school and college years, with the two Anons cheering each other on in their respective extracurricular activities! 

Anon Scar, Ultimate Fashionista

While Myth prides herself on looking presentable, even she can’t understand Scar’s fashion choices. With large black wings, black and purple Lolita dresses and elaborate make-up, Myth can’t help but wonder who allowed Scar’s clothes to become trendy. Myth can’t help but admire Scar’s audacity in her fashion choices. But at least Scar herself is a decent girl underneath her “Fallen Angel of Beauty” persona.

Fusion Anon, Ultimate Novelist

Myth is a massive fan of Fusion’s best-selling novels, particularly “Room 11037”, the story of a group of children in a pediatric hospital ward, eventually getting adopted by the kindly hospital workers. Imagine Myth’s surprise when her hero in literature turns out to be younger, yet taller than her. They regularly have talks about books over some hot cocoa and biscuits (that Fusion usually scarfs down before Myth can even sit down).

Fusion Anon II, Ultimate Programmer

Between Fusion II’s flippant attitude and Myth’s overbearing and hyper attitude, it seems like Fusion II and Myth wouldn’t be able to get along. That was until they found out that they both liked the same novels and were both massive fans of Fusion’s novels in particular. Fusion II regularly lets Myth take a peek at her programs as a method of quality control.

Just Anon, Ultimate Biker Gang Leader

Considering Janon’s talent, it only makes sense that Myth would be wary when around Janon. However, no matter how many times Janon pushes Myth away, Myth is still determined to befriend Janon and turn him into a respectful member of society. But if Fusion II’s testimony proves right, Janon has a bit of a weakness for his two juniors and loves to be called “Janon-senpai”!

Sparkle Anon, Former Ultimate Clairvoyant

Sparkle, or as she likes to call herself, “THE SPECTACULAR SPECTATOR SPARKLE”, is a bit of a mixed bag in Myth’s eyes. On one hand, Myth admires Sparkle’s charisma and boldness, reminding Myth of herself. On the other hand, Myth finds Sparkle’s talent to be completely bogus, even if Sparkle’s clairvoyance has a 33% accuracy rate. 

Egg Anon, Former Ultimate Martial Artist, and Wet Sock Anon, Former Ultimate Gambler From their frequent cursed comments to their ethnically dubious talents, (considering that they run an underground fight club/gambling ring) even Myth is having a hard time finding anything good about this fearsome and dangerous duo. But she will never give up trying to find at least some good in them!

Curious Anon, Jr. Ultimate Soldier

Ignoring the gruesome implications of Curious being a soldier at the age of 12, Myth found Curious to be a well-behaved and obedient young child. But Myth is heavily concerned at how Curious would describe their various endeavors in the army in excruciating detail and all with a straight face.

Anon Nerd, Former Ultimate Swimmer

Even if Nerd is rude, hostile and foul-mouthed, Myth is dead-set on finding some good in the soul of this surly swimmer. Oddly enough, Nerd seems to get all red when Myth is around. He’ll never admit it, but Nerd finds this short, but spirited nerd adorable as hell!

Eldritch Anon, Ultimate Detective

When Myth first met the tiny and paranoid detective, Myth has made it her goal to help this diminutive detective trust people again. It’s a slow and laborious task with Eldritch constantly calling them “sheep” and running away, but Myth is fiery and determined and won’t give up on anybody. Because giving up is not what a moral compass does!

 Dream Anon, Ultimate Fanfiction Author

Myth and Dream managed to get along like a house on fire, bonding over their fiery and determined attitudes and their love for literature, particularly romance and mystery literature. Dream regularly uses Myth as a beta reader for her latest fan fiction, helping with grammar and punctuation. You can totally bet that Myth was all too happy to help!

Iris Anon, Jr. Ultimate Lucky Student

Much like with Dream, Myth and Iris very quickly bonded due to their similar positive and energetic attitudes! Iris regularly looks up to Myth and wishes upon her lucky stars to be as charismatic and reliable as she is. Myth also regularly patches up Iris, whenever she has one of her usual clumsy spills.

Purple Anon, Ultimate Affluent Progeny

Because of Purple’s timid attitude, Myth isn’t really given many opportunities to socialize with her. Luckily, Myth is intelligent enough to understand Purple’s old-fashioned and verbose speech patterns, meaning that she is able to hold a coherent conversation with Purple. Myth also regularly gives pep talks to Purple, knowing how it feels to be in a leadership position.

Hopefully, Myth would be able to use her class rep and club leader charm to keep the morale of the Kibo-Con up!

Myth prides herself on looking presentable and following the dress code. She wears a purple blazer over a pink sweater vest, a matching pink bolo tie and a white button up shirt. Tied to her right arm, is a pink and purple armband with “HEAD GIRL” written on the front. She also wears a blue skirt, black leggings and white and blue Mary Janes. She wears glasses and keeps her hair in a ponytail with a pink bow.

PERSONALITY

MoralCompass!Myth is firey and determined compared to the more laid-back Romantic!Myth. Because she places heavy emphasis on her studies and club duties, MoralCompass!Myth‘s romantic skill is lacking, to say the least. But she is trying her best, scouring the best sources she can find on romantic attraction; romance novels! This tends to have mixed results. But she is so earnest and energetic at her romantic attempts, that it‘s adorable! No one can deny that she is a helpful, energetic, charismatic and almost stupidly optimistic soul, always seeing the good in everyone, even if they are delinquents. So I’d say that MoralCompass!Myth’s personality is like a mix between Kaito and Taka! —————————-—————————

CELEBRITY AU VERSE SPECIFIC HEADCANON :

Harry was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland where he was raised for three years by his mother. In his third year, Harry was left in the care of his biological father, James Smith, disgraced Captain of the Royal Navy, and raised by his elder sister Harriet. For two years it was just Harriet and Harry, struggling to survive their fathers violent rants and ravings until their youngest sister, Calista Jane was born. Both Harriet and Harry worked tirelessly to keep CJ safe, not only from their fathers violent abuse, but from his neglect as well. Harry proved himself to be a hustler and a silver tongued con artist, pulling petty white collar crime and ended up joining an underground bare knuckle boxing club where he would compete in violent brawls for quick cash.

Together, the three siblings raised and kept themselves alive against all odds until on a whim, James Smith moved himself and his three children to the United States chasing fortunes. Harry would continue pulling street scams on the unsuspecting Americans, eventually escalating to minor blue collar crimes as he began running with an older group of kids in his new neighborhood.

Eventually, Harry was approached by an old friend of his fathers, Mr. Smee, to begin training at his gym in wrestling. Harry agreed, widening his exposure to other fighting styles and schools over his youth and even competing in several tournaments and competitions for cash. Harry later picked up a job on a movie set, moving and arranging set pieces and equipment. He was taken in by a Stunt Performer and began training. Harry was fourteen at the time and lied often about his age in order to participate in dangerous stunts. Harry has been working as a Stunt Performer since he was sixteen years old.

When he was eighteen he competed in a Mixed Martial Arts tournament in Las Vegas that saw him leave the movie industry for four years under the name Harry Hook, winning the title of middleweight champion. At twenty-two, Harry returned to the film industry, working on various action sets. He worked alongside various stunt performers, choreographers and trained professionals for another four years, gaining several qualifications through practical learning.

Harry Hook is a well known name within the working industry for his ability in stunts, in fighting choreography and professional training, however, he is mostly unknown to audiences and viewers unless they are avid fans from his fighting days.

Recently, Harry has been approached with an offer to be the lead antagonist for a popular action thriller series but is hesitant to accept the role as he is concerned that he is only being scouted because of his appearance and looks. Very little about Harry’s life outside of his work is known to the public, even on set and by his employers he’s known by his fighter name Harry Hook.
