Guys, am I the only one who did not like the love triangle that happened between Holt, Frankie and Jackson

I did not like it and that love triangle, ruined me, Shipping Jackson with Frankie. I find it a good shape but that love triangle stabbed me

What makes it even funnier is? I am polyamorous so it’s not like I don’t like polyamory. I love it a live scene polyamorous representation but the fuck when I watched those scenes as a kid. I have an ongoing hatred for love triangles. I blame Disney

So I absolutely kind of hate the ship, only because of how poorly executed it is how it never gets mentioned again, and how the two characters did not, and to be honest to all the people who said Frankie had more chemistry with Holt, you are lying through your teeth and you just find hold attractive. That’s why you think he has great chemistry with Frankie.

if the teacher asks why ur head is down she'd be like "they have a headache" or smth

no it's not "forced diversity", you just hate seeing minority leads.

I really didn't want to comment on this, but as someone who has recently rediscovered monster high and loves the new show, I've seen so much criticism that isn't exactly...constructive?

I've seen a lot of people say that making Frankie non-binary is 'forced', 'lazy' and 'uninspired', when that is just simply not true?? Let's unpack their character for a moment. They are made of a ton of different dead body parts, some male and some female. If you were to use the 'biology excuse' it wouldn't even make sense in this context -- they literally have male and female organs!! Also alot of nonbinary people feel as though they have lots of parts to themselves,, what better way to portray that than through a monster character struggling with the same thing? It's literally such a cool allegory!! Creators have been using magic/fantasy to describe/symbolise real world issues and feelings for ages,, why is it such a big deal creators do this for more marginalised people. [also,, the orginal Frankenstein creature was heavily queer coded in the first place so its a sweet easter egg).

I also see people say,, 'oh why couldn't they just have made a new character be non-binary instead of changing the pronouns of a former one'. I hate this argument so much because it sounds like it's in good faith, but really what they're trying to say is "stay away from my white cishet characters and go make one of the irrelevant side characters queer or or just make a whole new show starring them that I have no interest in watching'. Just admit you don't want to see queer characters as leads.

I also think that sometimes cishet ppl (or non-marginalised ppl in general but i've mostly been seeing an attack on the queer characters hence the example) forget that we also grew up watching monster high?? and related to the characters?? And we would be so excited if we saw our favourite characters with similar traits to us?? Like sheesh,, cishet ppl have so much representation like let us have this pls 😭 😭

Actually speaking of representation in Monster High, g1 was already pretty diverse and inclusive, and its nice to see g3 follow in its legacy and become even more inclusive as times change! Like, they really said 'fuck you' to all the conservatives and included a drag queen character, a non-binary main character, autistic side character and so many more!! It makes me so happy to see and its probably why its one of my comfort show rn amidst the rise of the anti-lgbt rhetoric, especially concerning children's media.

So respectfully, to all those people claiming that the new monster high is "forced diversity" --- fuck you xxx

YOWZA WOWZA it's been a while! My MH spark died down for a bit in favour of my OCs and goddamned Papa Louie if you can believe it, but my monster high hyperfixation eventually came back and came back swinging! It definitely helps that I recently got some new supplies that Ive never played with before... paint pens! They're so much fun to use and I've been cranking out art at an absolutely ungodly speed because of them. So here's some of that art!

I only have 8 colours of paint pen as of right now bc im poor but like if anybody wanted to buy me some more ahaha just joking (unless....)

I know that trans Jackson/Holt is only a headcanon, but them with NB Frankie is so beautiful and just feels so powerful at the same time.

I imagine that if Jackson/Holt ever got to meet Movie!Frankie, they would both absolutely adore them

Jackson would be absolutely fascinated by them and all their parts. He’d actively ask them questions and listen as Frankie infodumps about the various famous people that make up their body, nodding along to every word. 

Jackson: “So you’ve really got Alan Turing’s cerebral cortex in there?” Movie!Frankie: “Yep! And, I’ve got some of Einstein’s brain parts in there too! Ooh! And! I also carry some of their memories! Did you know that *bla bla bla...*”

And he’s just letting them go on and on and on, all the while just thinking about how amazing and interesting they are. Not just because they’re made from the parts of several different geniuses, although that’s certainly a plus, but also just because of how enthusiastic they are to share things about themselves. The unique way Frankie’s brain works and all their habits are mesmerizing. To Jackson, Frankie is fascinating. Full stop. 

Holt, on the other hand, honestly couldn’t care less about who Frankie is made out of. It’s not that he doesn’t care. He still listens to them infodump from time to time. It’s more that he just doesn’t know who a lot of those people are (aside from the really, really famous ones of course). Holt’s more interested in Frankie themselves, specifically how they are just new to everything. He’d take the opportunity to show Frankie all the most fun places he knows and watch their face light up as they experience everything for the first time ever. 

Movie!Frankie: “What’s an arcade? I’ve never been to one before?” Holt: “It’s a place where you go play video games! And after that, I know this great place we can go to karaoke and belt some TUNES!! And after THAT, we gotta drop by this party! And I can show you how I tear up the SQUEALS OF STEEL!!! YEEEAAAYEAAHHH!!!!!

The point I’m trying to make here is that even if they’re not quite the same Frankie they remember, I think Jackson and Holt would still love them just the same.

I wish Holt/Jackson were the main characters of the reboot for one reason.

Holt would be around way more and that means he’d be near Frankie more.

In the original I loved the Frankie/Holt/Jackson relationship.

But it always seemed like it was more Frankie and Jackson rather than Frankie and Holt.

Just give me Frankie and Holt falling for eachother and being all cute.
