CALLING ALL MONSTER HIGH FANS. I JUST MET GARRETT. AND I WAS ABLE TO SCAVENGE SO MUCH LORE AND CONFIRMED HEADCANONS TO YOU. THIS IS ALL SAID BY GARRET OR CONFIRMED. I HAVE SPOKEN TO GOD AND HE HAS SPOKEN BACK

#1. Robecca and Venus were implied and ARE dating!!! He said it was like. Just like other monsters they had tried putting hints and characteristics into monsters that we could see and relate too. (He also said it outright down here. Lol I got all the proof guys!)

2. They never actually came up with Jane Boolittles Origins. And yes Dr. Morou and Dr. Boolittle raised her. But it was always a thing to them they'd say ‘oh well get back to this’. And then they never did. When asked; he genuinely doesn’t remember what they had planned for her.

3. a REALLY big mystery solved and lore dump guys. This one’s juicy. I KNOW HOW SPECTRA DIED. I KNOW HOW SHE DIED. AND WHAT THE TRAUMATIC STORY WAS FOR HER. I ACTUALLY FUCKING KNOW! Y’all ready? Drumroll…. It was, a, CAR CRASH! Yes you heard me. THE VONDERGEIST FAMILY ALL DIED IN A CAR CRASH. I think he said he she just came with her family off skirts and they got into an accident. I’ll reblog this with the video of him saying it!

4. Toralei lives in a monster high housing/boarding building when she is not attending school. This place is used for kids who do not have a place to go too, or if their home is too far to return to easily. I think there was an error somewhere where she mentioned parents? I mentioned that to him and he was very confused/didn’t remember. Reconfirmed that if she wasn’t in the monster high housing area. She would have been in either Jail or The streets.

5. Robecca was not rebuilt for 100 years due to Misogyny. Also because it had to go into the lines of her ‘mysteriously’ disappearing for her to have her comeback. I asked about how it was low key such a dark story, and he mentioned that since technically Monster high was the ‘horror’ genre. He was able to get away with things like that.

6. the Vampire Heart mystery! So remember how in Friday night frights we all see Ghoulia place a Robot Heart into Robeccas chest. Something that is very clearly not the Vampires heart? But then suddenly in Frights camera action it’s there? Well, technically that’s an official Error by the crew. He actually said he noticed it, and told management and stuff like ‘won’t people notice it?’ And they were all like ‘nah it will be fine no one will notice’. But then we all clearly did lol. He also said that because if this, he came up with the idea that the Vampires heart was ENCASED in the Robot heart we saw in Friday night frights. Ergo, explaining how Robecca had two hearts in one body! (It’s also confirmed Hexiciah placed the Vampires heart into her while he was building her. Which would explain why she didn’t remember it was their).

#7. Gooliope Jellingtons Origins. I asked what her origins were. And basically, she DOES NOT have any parents. She was CREATED IN A LAB. Which apparently didn’t treat her right. So she ESCAPED the lab and ran away to the circus! (Or blobbed away?) because he also confirmed, she was the blob. Or based off the blob. She wasn’t actually like. The daughter of the blob. She WAS the blob itself.

#8. Kiyomi Haunterly is Gay! I know this is was already somewhat canon and said before. But I asked and he confirmed it that she was in fact, Gay. And he tried to show it in her diary.

#9. We’re reaching some only implied/supported things. Not fully confirmed or intended. But Kala Mer’ri has BPD. I asked about if she has anything like BPD cause I relate and saw that a lot in her. He replied that he did try to make attributes for each Character specifically so we could related to them like that. And that it was to also make sure every character wasn’t a carbon copy of another. Basically. He didn’t like. Outright say ‘yes. She has bpd’. But he also didn’t disprove it. And he reacted positively to the idea and supported it.

#10. Robecca Steam has ADHD. It’s basically the same as above. Although he did like the note that I (someone with adhd) specifically had the same traits with Robecca, even more specifically, that we both are ALWAYS late. And can never keep track of time to save our unlife.

11. Dedyet DeNile Origins. He actually completely forgot about Cleo’s Mother eventually being reunited. I had asked how she had ended up in that same weird time loop Tomb thag Hexiciah was stuck in. (Which they were eventually freed by Robecca in her SDCC diary). He said he completely forgot about that. And genuinely didn’t remember anything about it. I basically re-explained the whole thing and he was very interested. Unfortunately. Not to much origins to go on.

11. here’s a canon one! What happened to Aamanita Nightshade after she left the DeNiles in the tomb. It was kinda funny, but he basically was like ‘Amanita went up and was just like ‘Peace!’’ And then never came back.’ She goofed around a bit, buuut it wasn’t entirely like her fault? She quickly went back to sleep after breaching the surface. So yeah. She was not awake for long. She quickly went back into flower mode until she woke up again at the Gloom and Bloom party.

12. He’s working on another one of his Monster prints! He sells them on his online shop here

He’s currently working on Toralei!!!!! He said he was working on her on the way over. And that he was trying to go in Order of the G1 doll releases. He mentioned he had only done Skelita out of Order because she was like ‘that one’ who was INSANELY popular with fans when she came out. Especially in Mexico. It’s also why she was the only Funko pop made who was not part of the main ghouls.

13. Random. But he actually didn’t create each backstory individually by himself. In the beginning he did A LOT. Like Frankie was the first backstory he ever created. And it got more help and divided as more and more characters were introduced.

14. he has read every single diary for every monster. Cool little fact cause DAMN theirs a whole bunch of them.

15. everything in the Ghoulfriends book series is CANON in the monster verse.

And that is ALL FOLKS! I had held those questions in for about 7-8 years. So it was everything to me to have them answered and confirmed! I really tried to ask everything that was a huge mystery to us monster folks. And I hope you guys are excited to see all these new CANON facts!!!

I’m sorry if this is not everything. Just like Robecca. I forget stuff pretty easily. I’m wracking my brain for every little detail. Unfortunately my father didn’t record as much as I would have liked. But he did get some perfect key moments! And I’ll make sure to reblog with those moments as proof of confirmation!

Really mature is know that Cleo and Deuce were never toxic. Cleuce moments that people ignore or pretend don't exist :

When Deuce cooked dinner for Cleo (which Cleo has already said is her favorite kind of date)

When Cleo took care of Deuce's injuries

When, after a lie from Frankie, Deuce didn't even have to say a word for Cleo to believe him

When Deuce tells Cleo that he thinks she deserves the best and she says she already has

When Cleo was sad and Deuce tried to cheer her up.

And there are so many other moments, I can mention when Cleo's fearteam was going to compete against Nefera's and Deuce came up with a plan to make sure Nefera's cheating didn't get in Cleo's way or when Deuce felt insecure and feared he would embarrass Cleo and she assured him that would never happen, I can talk for hours!

The only really bad thing about them is the writers, who keep repeating the same problems with them that they've already dialogued to solve and move on.

Do you know what a toxic representation MH couples are? It's when he ignores his girlfriend because of his racist parents, when he doesn't defend her and when he does, he changes his mind a week later, it's when she starts going out with an ex without considering her current boyfriend and keeps comparing the two, it's when she tries to make her boyfriend become a vegetarian even though he's a carnivorous monster!

its missing cleuce hours. you dont understand. they werent just dating, deuce writes in his diary that shes his best friend too. do you understand. she's his best friend. they were so in love that it broke even cupid's love arrow. do you not see how insane that is. do you not see why elementary school me was so feral over the fact that the hot popular mean girl actually had depth and was not a one-dimensional caricature. that she actually cared abt the ppl she chose to call friends. that she genuinely loved that skater boy and it wasnt just a "hes popular, im popular, we should be together" thing. that she stood up to her father and her sister and chose him??? that everytime girls asked deuce why he was with cleo the answer was, to him, always so obvious?? that he stumbles over his words for her sometimes but she--the perfection princess--understands what he's trying to say?? he cooks for her. he loves cooking and its a secret but he cooks for her. she plays video games with him. he takes her shopping. you see? they both take the time to understand and participate in each others interests. theyre both jealous. theyre both competitive. but he relaxes her. and he supports her. and she supports him. (the cheer competition. that card game the boys were playing) his snakes give her little kisses on the forehead. she went to scaris on a trip for like, a few days to a week, and he missed her so bad. he was in love with her when she was dating his best friend. she was in love with him when she was dating his best friend. she was dating his best friend bc of cupids love arrow. do you?? do you see it???? they've broken up maybe 3-4 times, and each time has lasted from 3 seconds to a day to a few days at most, and each time it was because misunderstandings, insecurities, or the involvement of cleo's family. and they always, always talked it out and came back to each other bc it wasnt a "break up" really it was more a "pause. holy shit what did i do? i love him/her. he/she loves me. i need to think abt what went wrong and address it.'" its abt the accountability. its abt them choosing each other. a wish someone made had him forget her and he still fell when he saw her again. do you see????? shes a diva and he loves it. hes a skater boy and she adores him. DO YOU SEE?????

• deuce and cleo

- not a lot of physical stuff in public tbh

- they stick to hand holding or cleo is holding on deuce’s arm mostly but they both definitely have those “sleepy eyes” so sometimes when they look at eachother ppl feel some INSANE chemistry when in reality cleo is just tryna figure out if her man is seeing the same tea she is (the answer: yes)

- they DO however like to cuddle and have repeatedly been found snuggling underneath a heated blanket

- cleo plays with deuces snakes sometimes. they adore her

- deuce has done big showy gestures every now and then for cleo and she eats it up everytime

- flowers and chocolates in her locker, instagrim stories dedicated to her, probably a highlight or two, y’all already know

• draculaura and clawd

- always touching. hand holding, linked pinkies, drac is holding clawd’s arm in the halls, or clawd has his arm around drac. any and all physical contact with these two

- in canon drac writes a lot of poetry so sometimes she leaves it in clawd’s locker as a surprise and when he sees drac after reading it he just holds her really tight

- they also snuggle a lot bc draculaura is ALWAYSS cold and clawd is like her personal cuddly radiator so if theyre ever together, 9/10 they’re napping

• spectra and porter

- YES A LOT but not in like a weird way

- porter is always on spectra, flopped over her shoulder or head while she’s sitting, head on her lap or side. if he’s not vandalizing, he’s all up in spectra’s space

- spectra has asked him about it before bc she knows it’s not her body temperature (ghosts don’t get cold/warm) and porter’s just like “babe i just wanna be in ur skin ya know?”

*bewildered spectra* “no i don’t?? the fuck??”

- it’s her perfume. that’s literally it. he’s obsessed w it

- spectra doesn’t mind tho. she’s usually playing with his hair while his head is on her lap

- if they’re in a quiet corner to themselves sometimes spectra will lay her legs in his lap and he’ll draw on her knees while she’s writing

• abbey and heath

- heath has tried big romantic gestures and they always somehow went wrong but abbey appreciated them since she knew he tried hard

- however abbey did ask him to stop since she is a shy ghoul and doesn’t like to be put in the spotlight like that (especially since one of them was heath attempting to sing a love ballad to her)

- based on a fic i read, they’ve both become careful with how much physical contact they have with eachother since heath can’t regulate his body temp as well as abbey can

- kisses. all. the. time

- nothing crazy tho. usually just a quick kiss on the cheek or forehead (lol height difference couple) or sometimes heath kisses abbey’s hand bc he knows abbey is lowkey an old fashioned ghoul and it makes her feel special <3

- they don’t normally cuddle but they both LOVE to dance so whenever they’re fanging out they put on music to jam out

• lagoona and gil

- not a lot in the beginning bc of the risk of gil’s parents finding out

- even now it’s not a ton but it’s usually gil’s hand on lagoona’s back, gently guiding her through whatever crowd they’re going through

- hand holding is kinda uncomfortable for water monsters since their fingers are webbed and even the clasp type hand holding doesn’t bode well

- sometimes they hold each others fingers while they talk. lagoona will just take gil’s hand and examine it while he talks or vice versa

- if they’re sitting next to eachother they’re always leaning on one another

- gil really likes to surprise lagoona with shiny trinkets he finds while swimming. he’ll even put it in a little jewelry box for her to open

- lagoona has made jewelry out of some of the shells gil finds for her

- she wears it a lot

• holt/jackson and frankie

- depends on who’s fronting tbh

- holt is very physically affectionate. arm around frankie, holding her hand, kisses, hugs from behind…you name it he’s probably done it

- he just likes to show off his ghoul

- frankie doesn’t mind until people are staring

- frankie herself likes to hold Holt’s hand or arm (he buff) or cuddle with him since he’s cute when he sleeps

- Holt will take Frankie to his gigs and dedicates a few songs to her

- they both love to dance, especially during Holt’s gigs and he has her with him behind the booth (bc he’s overprotective asf)

- jackson sticks with hand holding in public but has tweaked a few experiments to show off frankie during Mad Science Class

- when they study together frankie will run her fingers through his hair and he gets so relaxed it’s unbelievable

- when they’re chilling by themselves tho jackson will lay on frankie’s lap or legs while he’s reading

- frankie will shower jackson with kisses all over his face and he goes so red she laughs everytime

• invisi billy and scarah

- always holding hands!!

- since billy can control whether he wants to be seen or not, sometimes he’ll (try) sneak up on scarah and plant a few kisses

- billy got hounded on by the mansters when he once pulled up to casketball practice, visible, with messy hair and very specific blue lipstick marks on his face and neck

- him and scarah still haven’t lived it down
