Imagine making a film series like Star Wars and framing the triumphant romantic kiss as 'goodbye'... I still can't believe they made that film. Obvs that's probably how Daisy Ridley interprets it, not necessarily how it was framed (which was lacking narrative altogether), but it's still miserable. It's not even Romeo & Juliet vaunted romantic tragedy. It just sucks.

I do pity the poor anons who are waiting for some sort of different outcome with a new ST film. Studio executives will never look at the critical failure of TROS (it was a commercial success though) and think the takeaway was 'maybe we shouldn't have fractured the SW myth', it's 'oh, okay, let's never deviate ever again, damn that blasted TLJ' - just look at how JJ and co. tried to retroject TROS' failures onto the previous film. Course correction, course correction. Rey Film, if it gets made, will be DO YOU REMEMBER THIS? self-flagellating apology. Ben Solo will never return.

Yeah, anyone trying to come up with any positive spin on it, including desperate attempts to see it as effective tragedy, are doomed to failure. Only by completely ignoring the context and taking the moment by itself carried only on the actors' performances as continuity from TLJ without any of the terrible fucking tros script in the way can the kiss actually mean something.

As soon as you try to make tros into any kind of story or draw any kind of sincere message from it, you immediately run into the brick wall of what a soulless, nonsensical piece of trash it is.

I had a whole rant about how it's not Romeo and Juliet and I am still so annoyed how often people draw the comparison, both utterly missing the point of R&J and giving tros credit which it does not deserve by imagining it assigns any meaning to Ben's death whatsoever.

Yep. We've seen them do nothing but triple down. They have no idea why the movie was such an embarrassing wet fart. Rey the sexless eternal child will never be challenged again, she'll go on a worship tour of references, places, and objects to do reverence as the Brand Avatar. She's not a character any more and she's never going to be again.

As far as Alejandro ships go, Alecody is probably one of the most viable ones out there.

That's not to say it's the most viable, or the "best" Alejandro ship, because quite frankly I don't think there is such a thing as a "best ship", but from a purely canonical standpoint if Alejandro were to end up with any of his castmates, I'd say Cody would be a strong contender. Again, not the strongest, but also not entirely out of left field.

Which is mostly because he's one of the very few people in canon that Alejandro has A. interacted with more than once without issue, and B. not screwed over entirely to reach his goals. Not that Alejandro didn't screw Cody over - there are a few instances wherein Alejandro intentionally does something that directly affects Cody (most notably feeding Sierra's wedding delusions), but Alejandro doesn't do anything in terms of the competition at large that'll get Cody himself eliminated. In fact, he takes the finale tie breaker quite seriously; it's one of the few times Alejandro gets someone eliminated fairly, and Cody himself readily accepts that.

Cody's also one of the few characters who Alejandro has shown conditional kindness to, who actually survives said kindness without facing an elimination. Or without immediately contrasting that kindness with hostility behind his back (like he does with Owen and, to a lesser extent, Izzy), or using said kindness as the tool that'll get him eliminated (via flirting). That has to count for something, since Alejandro isn't the type to form friendships/aqquaintenceships that don't benefit him, and yet any sort of relationship with Cody is unbiasedly bereft of any notable benefits outside of the rapport itself.

The alliance he tries to secure with Cody is, objectively, entirely useless to Alejandro. He knows that Cody will only ever vote for Sierra, just like he knows that - out of the remaining four - Cody is the weakest contestant, and yet he still does his best to keep Cody on his side despite there being negligable benefits of him doing so.

So despite the fact that they had to duke it out in the tiebreaker, Alejandro and Cody have surprisingly little beef between them.

You could argue that Cody utilizing the nickname "Al" against him is indicitive of some resentment on his part, but I'd argue that Cody only really does that because he's a little shit (and rooting for Heather) and doesn't have the same level of resentment towards Alejandro that the majority of the cast harbours. If any at all, since Alejandro was nothing but cordial towards him.

So it's entirely plausible that Cody and Alejandro could meet each other outside the context of the competition - likely after All-stars, if we're going by strictly canonical guidelines - and spark a relationship from there.

Neither holds and lingering dislike for the other, and they've got a shared history of medical suffering under Total Drama they could bond over, and Cody's already seen Alejandro at his worst moments so Alejandro doesn't even have to live up to any false pretenses around him. Cody himself isn't the type to judge a person too harshly on their actions in the competition (which is backed by his canonical forgiveness and acceptance of Sierra despite her actions towards him) and would probably be thrilled to learn that the seemingly infalliable Alejandro he knew in Total Drama is, in fact, a giant nerd. (Just like him!)

It still haunts me how close they were to getting TROS right but then just dropped the ball in every conceivable way.

Like, they had Lando, they had Jannah, they had the idea to make Jannah Lando's daughter and explain that the First Order targeted members of the Rebellion so it doesn't feel like a forced coincidence. Then instead of taking the next logical step and tying it in with one of the actual main characters the story is supposed to be about, they instead went one step back and didn't do the Jannah being Lando's daughter thing so we end up with two characters introduced at the last minute who have nothing to do with the overall story and don't advance any of the principle character's arcs.

They already for some reason didn't do the obvious Stormtrooper rebellion idea. And I can only imagine the reason was either because they couldn't use anything that originated from Colin's script due to copyright or JJerrio just didn't want to use any ideas that weren't their own (not that that stopped them from just blatantly uncreatively copying everything in their own script anyway). But without that Stormtrooper rebellion plot, they were so clearly grasping at straws for what to do with F1nn. Ultimately all he gets is a promotion to General and Force powers, neither of which actually do anything to advance his character arc. Because JJerrio only think in terms of things they can give characters to make them better escapist fantasies for audiences to project onto like titles and ranks and fancy weapons and magic powers, rather than what's actually going to make a compelling story.

They had all the ingredients and somehow it just didn't occur to them to make F1nn Lando's son and Jannah's brother. People were expecting a parentage reveal and throwing a tantrum when they didn't get one with Rey, and if they had done that it would've felt like an actually clever twist that messes with audience expectations while still making sense. Plus, then they wouldn't have had to do that stupid fucking Reypatine twist that irreversibly ruins her character. It would've felt like an intentional misdirect that people were so hyperfocused on Rey they didn't pay any mind to the fact that F1nn's origins were also a mystery.

And it would've been a compelling end to his story! Like, F1nn spends his whole life as just a number and then by leaving the First Order he regains his humanity and then as a reward is reunited with the family he was stolen from as a child, which definitely wouldn't have happened if he hadn't chosen to stay and fight with the Resistance. And as a bonus, it's his actions, not the Force, that inspired Jannah and her friends to also leave the First Order. So he's also responsible for saving his sister from becoming cannon fodder and dying a faceless henchman. This also raises the stakes for him at the climax of the movie, because we don't want him to lose his father or sister after he just got them back, so we're more concerned for their survival.

This could also be used to move Rey's story forward as well. Because while F1nn's getting his family back she's trying to be happy for him, but part of her is jealous and resentful because she's still grappling with the fact that her parents are gone and they never loved her. Then that in turn helps her better understand Ben's feelings of abandonment by his family and why he felt like he had to turn to the Dark Side and push them away to escape the pain. Then the story ends resolving everything that was set-up from the very beginning of TFA. F1nn fully reclaims his humanity and regains the family he was robbed of while Rey and Ben make a new family together and give their kids the childhood they were robbed of.

And the thing is, they could still do this. For as much irreversible damage as they did to so many characters in that last movie, nothing in TROS actually prevents F1nn and Jannah Calrissian from being canon in another movie or series. Not even the actors saying they played F1nn and Jannah as a potential romance. If anything, that just adds to it because Luke and Leia were played that way in the beginning too. It's like poetry, it rhymes.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Hidetoshi

is typically pretty busy so he doesn't have a whole lot of time for cuddling. He doesn't mind it when he does, but he can't really sit still as he usually finds other things to do.

When you two do cuddle, he likes to lay next to you side by side, your hands holding each other. Your head can be on his shoulder or his on yours, it doesn't matter to him. He just likes that position since if he needs to, he can get up easily to do something (and same for you) but it's also easy to come back and cuddle again.

Saori

finds cuddling to be very relaxing and fun so she's a fan. Doesn't particularly care where you both cuddle either so long as it's not a hindrance to others.

Likes to be the big spoon when cuddling, but she won't mind switching if you'd prefer. Your back can be to her chest while her arms are wrapped around you. Or your face can be pressed into her chest as she's soothing massaging your scalp or tracing shapes on your back.

Theo

is pretty awkward when it comes to cuddling. You mean he wraps himself around you and just holds you close? Has probably accidentally almost suffocated you the first few times before he gets a handle on it. But he finds that he does enjoy cuddling.

When he's found his rhythm, he likes to wrap his arms around your lower back and have your cheek resting against his chest. His own face is either nuzzled into your neck or the top of your head.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Hidetoshi

acts like he's not jealous at all. He'll see someone else talking you up or eyeing you and he just scoffs and rolls his eyes. He's not jealous, just annoyed that someone would blatantly flirt with someone else with disregard to relationship status.

Probably one of the few times he will engage in PDA with wrapping his arm around your shoulder or asking how your day has gone. Might throw in a pet name too just to make it obvious how close you two are so the other person gets the picture.

Saori

hasn't really dealt with jealousy before. She sees someone else making advances towards you and she hums. On one hand, she absolutely wants to say something, but on the other she trusts you. She knows you wouldn't betray her like that.

So she doesn't really do anything, but when you go back to her side you'll notice she's a bit quiet before she asks you what the other person wanted. She does her best to not be accusatory or anything like that, but she very much wants extra affection from you now.

Theo

doesn't realize he's jealous. He just sees someone else flirting with you or eyeing you up and he steps in to defend you.

He'll call them rude or state that you're taken and lead you away, saying that the other person was being disrespectful (even if it was just some flirty compliments).

M - Memory (what is their favourite memory with you?)

You stayed after school with Hidetoshi. You didn't have to, he even said you could leave. But you both stayed after school and cleaned a classroom together. It was something simple, but just the atmosphere of the quiet classroom with the sun setting through the windows was really nice. He remembers how you looked with the sun rays shining behind you and he thinks fondly on that moment. Even if nothing particularly romantic happened, it's his favorite.

Saori's favorite memory is most likely doing something a bit against the rules with you. Like you both ended up sharing snacks in the library or something where food wasn't permitted. It's not a huge thing that'd get you both into serious trouble, but she remembers the rush of adrenaline she got and how much she giggled and had fun with you doing that.

Theo's is probably a date that he went on with you. It was evening and you both went to the fountain. He almost rolled up his pant legs to get into the fountain, but you stopped him. Despite being embarrassed, he remembers how you told him people threw money into the fountain to make a wish and he immediately wanted to do that. His wish was to have you stay by his side and have many more moments like this.

Hideotoshi brings you up a lot during Student Council. Not if they're talking about something serious, but if relationships are talked about then he's quick to talk about his great and amazing S/O. Not that he'd tell you that he brags about you often.

Saori still has trouble interacting and doing things typical with others her age so she has a list of date ideas or things she's looked up online that she wants to try with you. Some of it is simple enough, but others are kind of wild. She has absolutely made a bucket list for the two of you as a couple.

You can mention a tiny thing and a week later Theo will just bring it up, completely off topic, and you're a little confused as to what he's talking about before you remember too. He's so proud of himself for remembering as well.

lang update!

jeg har længe villet skrive en update. om mig og R, vores sexliv, mit sexliv. der er sket en hel masse siden min sidste update, og jeg tror bare jeg har haft en masse at tænke over (warning: langt post!)

om mig og R

først og fremmest, så er jeg så lykkelig med R. jeg føler at vi på kun 9 måneder forstår hinanden og hinandens behov så godt. vi har en vildt god kommunikation, hvor vi kan snakke om alt og ingenting. jeg føler jeg kan fortælle ham hvad som helst og han vil lytte uanset hvad. samtidig føler jeg også bare, at vi er på samme bølgelængde om næsten alt - og selv når vi er uenige, er vi gode til at se hinandens synspunkter og ikke grave grøfter mellem os. jeg synes det hele føles så sundt og rent!

derudover har vores sexliv bare været vildt godt de seneste par måneder. allerede fra vi mødtes første gang var han god, men det er som om, at for hver dag der går bliver han bare bedre og bedre til at få mig til at komme. begynder seriøst at tude nogle gange, fordi jeg får så kraftig en reaktion 🥺🥺

også selvom vi har haft et par dage på det seneste hvor jeg ikke har boet hos ham, har han stadig haft tid til at komme forbi til en quickie 😇

om mig og en ny

på trods af at R og jeg har så godt et sexliv, havde jeg alligevel tid til at ses med en ny fyr for noget tid siden. vi havde matchet på tinder for næsten 2 år siden og skrevet lidt on/off. fik lyst til at skrive til ham igen fordi han stadig så sød ud, og vi endte med at skulle mødes hjemme hos ham.

i forhold til hvordan jeg har haft sex med R, S og ham på j-dag, var det her meget, meget anderledes. jeg plejer at blive domineret/være lidt underdanig og lade fyren bestemme. den her gang var det helt omvendt. det var mig, der lagde op til det, og mig, der tog kontrollen. derudover er jeg blevet helt vant til at blive slikket eller rørt inden sex. this guy gjorde seriøst intet for mig, men jeg suttede og red ham …og jeg kunne faktisk godt lide det 🥺

jeg kom obviously ikke, men jeg var simpelthen så liderlig da jeg kom hjem igen, at jeg kom næsten med det samme. et eller andet med at føle mig så "slutty" gjorde åbenbart et eller andet for mig den dag… jeg tror ikke vi skal ses igen tho. det var en sjov og lærerig oplevelse for mig, men tror ikke jeg får så meget mere ud af den relation.

så han når aldrig at få set mine bryster, selvom det var noget han gerne ville 😇

om C

hvis i troede det var slut med at høre om C, så tro om igen. jeg har nemlig fortalt hende ret meget om mit og R's sexliv. som den eneste af mine irl veninder, ved hun nu at R og jeg er i et åbent forhold.

få dage efter valentins fortalte jeg hende på en meget diskret at jeg og R var i et åbent forhold. det virkede til at komme en del bag på hende, men hun var glad på vores begges veje. som jeg forstod det på hende, var det der overraskede hende at vi er så stærkt og tætknyttet et par, men alligevel må ses med andre. hun var dog meget fordomsfri, så det er dejligt - også at have i hvert fald én veninde som kender lidt mere til vores dynamik.

i fredags var jeg så i byen med hende alene. jeg spurgte hende bl.a. hvordan det gik med fyrene, og hun sagde hun havde været på mange dates, men kun kysset nogen af dem. lidt øv for hende. har set nogle af de fyre hun skriver med, og de virker søde nok. hun spurgte så hvordan det gik med mig og fyre, og jeg fortalte at jeg havde set en siden vi snakkede sidst og fortalte lidt om ham (ham fra "om mig og en ny" ☝️☝️).

jeg sagde så, at han ikke kunne måle sig med min tidligere langtidsbolleven S, som jo var R's ven. hun virkede ret chokeret over det haha. både at jeg havde haft en fast bolleven i over et halvt år, og at han var en af R's venner. jeg viste hende nogle billeder af ham, og hun synes han var cute - og jeg fortalte om hvorfor vi sluttede tingene mellem os, og hun synes det var sødt

hun spurgte om R havde været sammen med andre endnu. jeg sagde "nej, han kigger stadig". hun spurgte hvordan jeg ville have det hvis han var sammen med en anden, og jeg svarede bare sådan "godt. håber han finder en snart". hun virkede til at synes det var lidt mærkeligt haha, og spurgte om jeg ikke ville blive jaloux. jeg svarede lidt bold at "jeg synes det ville være synd hvis andre ikke kunne få glæde af ham" (🤭). senere på aftenen snakkede vi også om tidligere kærester/flings, hvor jeg sagde at "de eneste gange R har fået mig til at græde, har været når han fik mig til at komme lidt for hårdt" 🥺

om C og R

efter vores bytur endte jeg med at overnatte hos C. vi havde kysset lidt i løbet af aftenen, men intet vildt, og intet sensuelt lol. hun slikkede dog salt af min hånd da vi tog tequilashots haha. vi endte med at falde i søvn mens vi lå og snakkede/puttede.

C er meget, meget flot, og det tror jeg ikke der er tvivl om. jeg er bi, men er ikke som sådan tiltrukket af hende, hvis det giver mening. hun er dog objektivt fantastisk smuk, og jeg er ret tiltrukket af, at R er tiltrukket af hende 🥺

jeg fik tanken, at hvis R skulle være sammen med nogen jeg kender, måtte det allerhelst gerne være C. hun er sød, åben og til at stole på. jeg har kendt hende længe, og jeg ved hun altid ville kunne holde på en hemmelighed. og så er hun som sagt også meget, meget flot, og jeg ved der allerede er en tiltrækning fra R's side.

jeg har ikke spurgt om der er tiltrækning den anden vej.

altså jeg tror det, men har ikke turdet lægge for meget op til noget (endnu?). og selv hvis der var tiltrækning, er det jo ikke sikkert hun ville have lyst alligevel.

tl;dr

det går fantastisk mellem R og mig - også med vores sexliv. vi er et mega stærkt par, hvilket også er hvorfor vores åbne forhold kan fungere. C har fået at vide som den eneste af mine irl veninder, at R og jeg er i et åbent forhold, hvilket hun var ret overrasket over. jeg går med tanker om at det stadig kunne være en idé at sætte C og R op med hinanden, hvis de begge kunne have lyst. jeg ved dog ikke om C overhovedet har de tanker eller ønsker.
