Mia Mizoguchi (aka Maps aka sometimes Robin?) (also Maya Ducard and Colin Wilkes and Kathy Branden and Jay Nakamura and Suren Darga and Nika/Flatline)

Mia is Damian's school friend and like a partime Robin. Also she's a detective who would definitely get along with Tim. The rest are also Damian's various friends (Kathy and Jay are more like Jon's friends but if Jon and Damian are friends then they're probably friends?). Also Jay is/was Jon's boyfriend if that interests you. Kathy is also an alien so that's cool. I'm pretty sure all of them have their own hero identities so they could totally be a team or something. And I think it's sad nobody in this fandom remembers that Map's was kind of Robin.

So generally I see just Roy,Oliver and sometimes Dinah and Lian as the arrowfam. And to be honest I don't know much about them, but where's Conner Hawke, Mia Dearden and Emiko Queen?

Conner Hawke=Oliver Queen's son who was raised with his mother, Sandra Hawke, and was sent to an ashram to learn Buddhism stuff i guess. He reconnected to Oliver and became the second Green Arrow eventually.

Mia Dearden=She had an abusive father and ended up an underage prositute. She was rescued by Green Arrow and became Oliver Queen's new ward. She trained with him and Conner Hawke and eventually became the second Speedy and joins the teen titans. Also she's HIV positive? Idk the story there.

Also Jason Todd kidnapped her and beat her up so Tim wasn't the only one.

Emiko Queen= Emiko is Oliver Queen's half-sister. I'm pretty sure she's the second Red Arrow now? Her mom's and assassin which is cool. She was also raised as an assassin.

Why do people think Tim's only friends are young justice? He's a social butterfly. What happened to Ariana,Darla,Bernard and Ives?

I have a question: Is Ives Tim's only civilian close friend that is no way connected (directly and indirectly) to him in his vigilante life?

Because if he is, I am so happy that Tim does have an absolutely civilian friend that is just normal.

Ives is not the only friend Tim has had that is/was absolutely civilian. Tim's first girlfriend, Ariana, was a civilian.

Darla is the daughter of a mafia boss, but she was a civilian who disapproved of her father's work. She was a civilian up to when she died during a school shooting. After being revived, she was no longer a civilian (and she did some messed up stuff).

Bernard was and technically still is a civilian. He dabbled in a cult for a bit, but he remains a civilian.

Tam wasn't introduced in a civilian manner (i.e. Tam was kidnapped by the LoA and thus met Tim through vigilante circumstances) but she was and remains a civilian.

Ives and Ariana are the only ones, as far as I'm aware, that have never crossed into the non-civilian sphere. There may be more friends, or I may be wrong about some of these analyses, but hopefully that helps!

(Also, I definitely agree that I'm glad Tim has a social life outside of vigilantism. It's nice for all of him to be understood, but it's also great there are people out there who think of his as Tim rather than his vigilante persona)

Thinking about Jason genuinely not wanting to rejoin the batfam and never wanting to speak to bruce again. Thinking about a Jason who finds Bruce's actions towards him (post-resurrection) unforgivable and flat refuses. Thinking about jaytim where Jason flat refuses to meet Bruce, to care about his approval even for Tim, to completely ignore Bruce and refuse to go to things like galas hell be at. Thinking about a relationship damaged without repair and Tim only calling Bruce "B" or "The Bat" in conversations with Jason because the Bruce Jason loved doesn't exist anymore.

Thinking about them eloping because they know if they do a wedding with Alfred Bruce will somehow be involved because while Alfred is nearly flawless, he himself can admit Bruce is one of them. Thinking of a Jaytim where Tim introduces Jason to his friends & family one by one but not Bruce. Never Bruce. His family including Huntress and Loni and Pru. His friends including Ives and Bernard and Darla. Thinking of Tim and Jason ruthlessly destroying Bruce's trackers and camera and bugs.

Thinking of jaytim where this is their first big fight, that Jason won't accept Bruce and the fucked up way he's *trying* now, like he didn't put a baterang in Jason's throat to stop him killing *his murderer, who was just hanging out outside of Arkham facing no consequences, not even Bat-sanctioned ones*. Thinking of Tim's voice breaking around the "he still loves you" and thinking about Jason's rueful laugh "I know, it's fucked up." Thinking of "I can't forgive him and I can't love him and what he did to me, that's injustice. I can't." Thinking about Tim fundamentally not understanding not wanting someone to love you but understanding someone trying to force the wrong kind of love on you in a sincere way (jack) and reframing his thinking.

I’m just imagining the vindication Ives felt when the picture of Batman carrying Darla reveals that he’s not just an urban legend and wanting to brag to Tim about being right before realizing “oh shit that was his friend��� Tim gaslights this poor guy for years and he can’t even tell Tim “I told you so” because Tim is about to start the worst week of his life 😔😔

Hiii I just wanted to tell you that I had the time of my life scrolling through your reblogs and commentary– I was giggling the whole freaking time, you're so funny to me.

The lengths the lot of you Bernard Antis will go to shit on his character and attempt to invalidate him and timbern fans is honestly almost impressive, kudos for that!

Everything I said is accurate about timber. And laughing isn't really a reply. The way you timber fans refuse to acknowledge the misogny of it is truly a sight to see but oh well.

Anyway read this on why timber fails

A. There is no real good reason to have him paired with Tim. He only appeared in six issues and none of his interactions with Tim gave us insight into who Tim was as a character or lead to any meaningful developments. The whole 'he represents the War Games era of Tim in terms of uncertainity' or 'his civilian life before losing his dad' that was used by the author, is just untrue as we never see Tim seriously appreciate his friendship like he does with say Ives, or the people at Brentwood as something that keeps him grounded or as a distraction from the hero life/normaly he needs nor do his interactions with Tim show said uncertainty like the struggle of balancing the civilian/hero life that we saw his above friends do. All of his appearances are either comic relief or a springboard/exposition for more important developments such as Tim's relationship with Darla.

There is also how he wasn't a close friend of Tim and more often than not, Tim was shown to not like him too much. At best they were casual friends and none of their interactions went beyond that. The nicest thing Tim said about him is that he "THINKS he's going to END UP LIKING" him not that he actually does so which at best shows Tim is willing to give him a shot.

At worst? Well

Yeah. The first panel is his first impression of him while the last three are the LAST interactions/mentions Tim has with him and occur after saying he 'thinks he's going to end up liking him'.

It makes no sense why Tim would even want to reconnect with him let alone date him. Tim's opinion of Bernard went from "I guess we can be friends but this guy is sus to "maybe he's not so bad and deserves a shot" to "nah screw this guy". It's telling we keep getting sold a false meta history of them being super close friends and have Bernard essentially replace Ives to try and sell the pairing.

B. Like it really doesn't do anything for Tim at all.

Bernard doesn't help Tim grow as a character, or even as a person relationship wise as Tim is still doing the same faults he did in past relationships with civilians not telling them he is Robin, keeping secrets, cutting dates/missing them, etc). but they are "resolved" by just making Bernard some ultra perfect guy who knows Tim's identity

Aka the resolution he had with Stephanie in terms of the civilian/hero life balance of having someone who knows both, so Tim is getting a balance he already had and not to mention you can't even say Tim progressed in this manner or learned from his mistakes as he never revealed his ID in the first place, so it requires no growth on his end) (never explained how he does, not to mention watering down Tim's competence in keeping his ID) so it's all moot.

Tim also doesn't progress in his civilian life at all. Like he lives on a boat and (it is said that Bernard helped motivate him to do this but never shown/explained at all and all we see is Bernard saying he likes it and the people there)? Like he doesn't even meaningfuly develop a connection with the people there aside from friendly neighbors at best. As an example There was this "subplot" of them being in danger of being evicted but Tim just doesn't care at all or do anything. Like why not use some of his wealth from his dad or something to like buy people's boats and resell them at a cheaper price so the people can stay?

The people on the boat don't even offer him a meaningful civilian connection as like I said he just doesn't connect with them and even then that civilian connection is kind of moot in the last issue when they all know his identity as Robin so that balance or finding a solution is rendered moot for the same reasons as above as he already found that balance with the Batfamily/YJ friends who know both aspects of his life and again he didn't even it reveal it to them.

Like what do they offer him? People to chill in a non-vigilante way? Like he can already do that with the Batfam/YJ and not to mention that as the series showed the Marina got involved in a lot of Robin related stuff because of Tim's ID, so it's also moot.

Another point is how Bernard for a 'relationship for Tim beyond Robin' really is a relationship where the substance largely comes from Robin. Like aside from Robin is how they got together which Bernard even states in issue 3, in the beginning of issue 7 when Bernard list why he likes Tim all the things he likes about him are reflective of his role as Robin. Like his whole trusting Tim to keep him safe, Tim being special, and Tim being his lucky charm, the examples he uses are of Tim saving him as Robin/being Robin.

And issue 7 also shows like I said above that what saves the relationship is Bernard knowing that Tim is Robin. Not to mention how he really only opens up to Tim/confides in him seriously when Tim is Robin as shown in issue 3 and 9. Hell in issue 3 when he talks about wanting to help Tim, knowing that he knows his ID, when he talks about Tim 'taking too much on his own and not asking for help and loosing himself or whatever' we know it's about Robin.

And issue 10 the grand saving moment for their relationship after the 'falling out' in issue 9 was Bernard saving the day in a Robin related mission and getting the ID reveal (but not really)

Issue 7 highlights how Tim really doesn't do anything for Bernard as Tim. Like all he does is tell him that his parents suck, he's great to make him feel better, and tell us a bunch of stuff about Bernard we've never seen before.....twice and given how the issue kept emphasizing this point (to the point where villains commented on it) and how over the top his parents/with Bernards heroic it felt generic and like the bare minimum and Tim felt like an exposition device.

Tim never really talks to him about his issues with his parents or actually substantially helps him as after Tim does the above it immediately cuts back to their relationship for cute moments. Like Bernard giving him the necklace isn't even connected to Tim 'helping' as he was gonna do that anyway.

Tim as a civilain is just the BF and the real substance comes from Robin (as it was a Robin related mission and Tim saving civilians as Bernard which lead/inspired Bernard trying to save his parents and oh look Robin once again is tied to their relationship)

TLDR: Bernard doesn't make sense as a pairing, doesn't do anything for Tim as a character nor fulfill the purpose he was supposedly brought back for

The Long Nap

Julia Bory had the best kept secret in town sleeping in her house. She’d moved into the Dittman family’s house shortly after Darla and Malcolm had both disappeared, her home next door sold without a second thought. Few people in town knew what was hidden inside one of the rooms upstairs, and no one that knew spoke of it.

It was better that way, Julia reasoned. Arlo had after all, been sleeping for over twenty years now. If Darla hadn’t been gone for five years, she might have finally lost hope and pulled the plug. But Julia wasn’t one to give up on something, especially not her godson. She heard talk of people with far worse fates who still made it out alive, like the whispered about soldier from the old days who’d survived a bullet to the head and woken from his own coma and decade ago. If he could do it, Julia knew Arlo deserved a fighting chance.

She went up to his room at noon, to swap out his IV bag for a full drip, and to start Arlo’s feeding tube. And found Arlo with his eyes open.

“Arlo? Arlo?!” Julia rushed the the bed and grabbed Arlo’s hands. He didn’t respond, eyes staring unblinkingly up at the ceiling. She turned and yelled down to her wife. “Judith! Call Dr. Hain! Arlo’s awake!”

She didn’t leave his side until the doctor assigned to Arlo’s occasional checkups came to see him. He had visited less and less as the years went on, Arlo had all his vaccinations given when necessary, but there wasn’t really much else the doctor could do besides writing more prescriptions for medicines to put in the boy’s IV.

“Arlo.” Dr. Hain said loudly as he walked into the room, shutting the door behind him. He took out a penlight and shined it in Arlo’s eyes. Julia and Judith watched with silent excitement as Arlo’s pupils dilated. “Arlo if you can hear me, follow the light with your eyes.” The light moved, but Arlo’s eyes didn’t track it. Dr. Hain put on his stethoscope and listened to Arlo’s heart, then grabbed his hand. “Arlo, can you try to move one of your fingers?” There was not a single twitch as Arlo’s hand laid in his palm. He blinked, taking an entire five seconds for his eyes to close, and another five for them to open. He hadn’t blinked much since Judith had called the hospital.

“Isn’t he awake?” Judith asked as Dr. Hain reached into his medical bag, and pulled out a sterilized needle packet, tearing it open.

“What are you doing?” Julia demanded quickly as Dr. Hain grabbed Arlo’s hand again. “Hey, he’s afraid of needles, what are you doing?”

“It takes a patient days to the more likely weeks to wake up from a coma. The first indication is the eyes opening, and the next is the reaction to pain stimuli. His muscles are so weak it’s possible he can’t even move a finger.” Dr. Hain looked back at Arlo’s face for a moment. “It’s incredible that his eyes are open. This may finally be his transition out of the coma. Or…”

“Or?” Judith pressed.

Dr. Hain sighed. “He’s been asleep for twenty-two years, ladies. It’s highly likely this is all you’ll get out of him. He could be a vegetable for the rest of his life. His pupils dilated, but he didn’t react to the command to follow the light. One of two reasons. He’s still in the process of waking up the part of his brain that controls functions like the eyes…or he is simply no longer capable. It’s just a quick poke, to see if he reacts to pain.” He promised, pricking Arlo’s finger. Arlo didn’t flinch, not even when a small bead of blood formed on his fingertip.

“He can do it.” Julia said firmly. “He’s waking up. This is only the first day. He’ll wake up. You said it could take weeks.”

“We’ll see.” Dr. Hain said with little emotion in his voice. “Call me during his “waking” periods. I’ll come to check up on him and do more tests.” He collected his bag and waved goodbye to the wives. “I wish you all the best. And you too, Arlo.” He directed towards the bed. “Maybe he can finally hear you. Talk to him.”

He left and Judith went downstairs to watch her television program. Julia smiled at Arlo, squeezing his hand. “I told your mother you’d wake up.” She said proudly. “You take your time now. I’ll be waiting for you Arlie.” Arlo took in a deep breath and sighed. Julia sat with him, telling bedtime stories and corny jokes until Arlo blinked and didn’t open his eyes again. It took four more visits before Arlo’s eyes followed the penlight. Another seven before he winced as he was given the needle prick.

“He’s waking up.” Dr. Hain finally decided, a wide smile growing on his face. “Such a rare medical event, it’s hardly been documented. Now remember he may still have setbacks, like the week he had where he had no waking period. And we have no clue what will happen as he continues to wake. His cognitive functions may have decreased, and it will be incredibly unlikely for him to relearn all the skills he used to know. Even talking after a coma this long is incredibly rare. But, others have done it. We’ll do everything in our power to help Arlo get to wherever he can.”

“Oh he’ll talk.” Julia nodded confidently. “He has everything to say.”

“See you soon.” Dr. Hain promised. “Remember what I said about the next phase of waking up, when and if he gets there. He will be confused, likely agitated, and his memory will suffer. Play him music, bring in some incense or candles, put on the TV. His brain needs stimulation now more than ever. But try not to push him. If he becomes agitated and is able to start using his arms to try pulling out his tube or his IV, call me immediately, there are soft restraints that can prevent him from hurting himself. Goodbye Arlo. I look forward to seeing you when you’re awake.”

A week and a half passed, and when Julia found Arlo staring up at the ceiling, panic stricken and shakily breathing, she knew he was finally, truly awake.

“Arlo, Arlo it’s me.” She said gently, shutting the door and locking it. She didn’t need Judith’s coddling suffocating Arlo and making him more worked up. “It’s Ms. Bory, Arlo. Do you remember me?” Arlo let out a noise, a low nervous “Ah sound that dragged through him. “It’s so good to see you awake, Arlie. Try to relax. Everything is going to be alright. You were just asleep for a little bit. You’re safe.” Arlo was still struggling to breathe. Julia pulled out her phone and sent a text to Dr. Hain.

He’s awake. Awake awake. You need to come help him. He’s scared.

Thinking for a moment, Julia opened youtube on her phone and switched to a playlist of old kid songs released before Arlo had gone to sleep. She turned the volume up-Not too loud, she didn’t want to hurt his newly hearing ears-and reached to grab his hands.

“Arlo-Arlo my boy. I know you’re scared.” She said over the music, Arlo’s lip quivering as she reached to brush her hand against his head. He took in a shaky breath, tears starting to form and fall down his eyes. “And that’s okay Arlie. I’m here for you. But you’re safe, and nothing is going to happen to you. Can you hear me? Blink if you can hear me, Arlo.” Arlo’s eyelashes fluttered as he blinked, still quietly crying. Not a sound escaped him. “Are you thirsty Arlie? I’ll get you some water.” 

She stood and went downstairs to the kitchen. Dr. Hain had warned her coma patients always felt incredibly dehydrated waking up, from the dryness in the throat. And she also knew the best way to calm down a crying child was to give them a drink.

She had to hold the cup up and put the straw in his mouth her self, but after a moments pause she saw some of the water travelling up the straw and into Arlo's mouth. It all spilled out onto his blanket unswallowed, Julia patting Arlo’s knee to calm him down while she wiped the water off his face.

“It's okay Arlo, you aren't in any trouble.” Julia promised. “Try again, you can do it. That was very good for a first try.”

It took two more tries before he swallowed most of the water, only a few water droplets dribbling down his chin. He finished the entire cup by the time Dr. Hain got there and knocked on the locked door.

“Arlie, a doctor is here to look at you.” Julia explained patiently. “He isn't going to give you any shots or needles, okay? I promise he's just going to do a basic examination. There's nothing to worry about. You trust me, don't you Arlo?” She patted his shoulder before moving to unlock the door.

“Hello Arlo!” Dr. Hain said happily as he stepped in, Judith behind him. Julia ushered her back out to the hall before she could question why she hadn't been told about Arlo.

“Listen Judith, this is really important for Arlo, he won't like you fussing all over him just yet.” Julia reasoned. “I'm sorry I hadn't told you before the doctor got here, but Arlo needs time. I have to put him first, you understand? Which is why I need you to stay out here for now, and I need to go back in. Arlo needs someone to hold his hand, and I'll have to do.”

“I understand.” Judith said softly. “He knows you better.”

Julia kissed Judith quickly then went back into the room. Dr. Hain was on Julia's normal side of the room, because she always sat on the side Arlo's face tilted towards. He'd turned the music off. She took a seat just behind him so Arlo could see her. Dr. Hain was having Arlo follow the penlight again, Arlo’s eyes slowly tracking it back and forth, still a little delayed like the first time he'd done it. Hain put the penlight down and grabbed Arlo’s hand, laying it palm up in his hands.

“Arlo, blink if you can feel my hands.” Dr. Hain requested. Arlo blinked. “Alright Arlo, I want you to try moving your fingers or hand, anything you can move.” Dr. Hain waited patiently for a long, long time, and finally the tip of Arlo’s index finger just barely curled in before straightening back out. He let out a soft, pained whine. “I know Arlo, I'm sorry if it hurt.” Dr. Hain apologized. He turned to Julia and said low under his breath, “Arlo will have a lot of muscle pain for at least a couple weeks. Try to massage his hands and arms a good amount, and we'll get a physical therapist to help with the stiffness in his back, neck, and legs. He won't like it, but it'll help the pain go away as his hands start to relax. His muscles are very tense right now, he isn't using any strength when you or I hold him.”

“I know.” Julia nodded. Arlo’s hands felt like deadweight when she lifted them up to pat them or give a reassuring squeeze. “When do we work on his speech?”

“After he's a little more settled. This is only the first day.” Dr. Hain reminded. “Keep giving him the water but no foods, not even anything soft. And try to keep watch on if he's tensing his jaw. But now that he is waking up fully, have you made any progress-”

Julia shushed him. “Outside the room.” She said firmly, turning to Arlo. “Arlo my boy, I'll be right back, okay?” She stood and walked into the hall, Dr. Hain following her. “No, Dr. Hain, I haven't heard a single word from Darla, haven't heard anything in the news about Malcolm, none of Arlo’s extended family-if he even has any-have reached out to me.” She admitted.

“You do understand that his medical bills will become more expensive?” Dr. Hain asked. “The psychical therapy, mental screenings, regular therapy? Are you confident you can pay without the assistance of the Dittmans?”

“They left Arlo in my care.” Julia said, voice steady. “I'm not going to abandon him to lousy state care to save a few nickels and dimes. And even if I never find Darla, she entrusted Arlo to me. He's my boy just as much as hers now. I've taken care of him for five years now on my own. I can continue to do so.”

“Very well. Have a nice day, ladies.” Dr. Hain nodded. “Keep him away from mirrors for now, remember what I said about the confusion and regulation problems. He's very fragile.”

“He’s not fragile.” Julia corrected after Hain had already gone, Judith the only one there to hear her. “He's recovering.”

and his entire stupid relationship with eve was literally just so that he could get into wolfram and hart again. to mess with angel. any time we see them having sex or cuddling he’s just like “oh my god babe I can’t wait to take down my arch nemesis it’s gonna be so fun” like that’s it. plus how could I not mention the one good and true and memorable eve quote, “it all comes back to angel. he’s still the centre of your universe”.

Jason's "brother" first appears in the digital-first chapter Truth & Justice #10 by Jeff Trammell, Rob Guillory, Jean-Francois Beaulieu, and Becca Carey. This story focuses on Red Hood's time as a homeless kid. But he isn't alone in this version of his past; one of the people who helps young Jason is Max Dawkins, an older kid who once took care of Jason like a brother. Together, the two survive their childhood. After Jason Todd is taken in by Batman, Jason leaves some money for Max to help him get off the streets. Max turns his life around, even graduating from college — but is unfortunately murdered by Scarecrow. Killing Max off was a huge mis-step on DC's part, and bringing him back could give Jason Todd's character new depth.

So is Max before Nu52 or in New52? Because I never heard of him so I think he is New52.

Almost every member of the Bat-Family still has a powerful connection to their past life. Dick has had old family members reappear, like his uncle and sister — plus he owns the circus he grew up in. Barbara Gordon still has her father, and Cass Cain, for better or worse, still has her mother and father. Damian Wayne has his father, mother, and grandfather. But Jason Todd has no connection to his past life at all. Both of Jason's mothers are dead, and Joker recently killed Jason's father, meaning Jason has no connection left to his pre-Batman childhood. Bringing Max back into continuity would give Jason at least one supporting cast member who knew him before his death as Robin and his revival as Red Hood, which is something Jason desperately needs.

Every other Bat-Family member, including Batman, has both a connection to their past and a civilian life with supporting characters. Jason has neither; rarely is he shown in his civilian life, and he has no supporting cast that isn't a fellow superhero. There is no doubt that, out of all the Bat-Family members, Jason is the one who has struggled the most to find his footing outside the team. Every Batgirl and Robin has their own supporting cast, and Red Hood deserves the same. Bringing Max back could be the first step to fixing that.

Who did Tim have before dating Bernard? Unless I’m mistaken, which I might be, didn’t he push Ives, Bernard, Darla(?), and his other school friends away to focus on Robin? Not to mention it seems as if he had no one to hang out with when Jack made him give Robin up...

Oh, I thought it was Dick’s grandfather who reappeared? Or do they not count William as a family member? Plus, isn’t Dick’s sister his parents killers adopted daughter?

Wait, who do they consider Bruce having as his supporting cast? His kids who technically are also his partners? His best friends who are superheroes? Something that ScreenRant seems to hate for Jason? Damian literally has no friends, that they show, besides Jon who is now Tim’s age, since they got rid of Colin and his other friends, including Jon, are superheroes or villains also.

Tim has Bernard and maybe Ives. Duke has his mom, same with Steph, and that’s about it I believe.

I’m surprised they counted Cass’s parents, Ra’s, and Talia in with Damian’s support. Especially since they didn’t put that Ra’s and Talia are as bad as Cass’ s parents…now.

Actually, if you get down to it, the whole family has each other to rely on also. So Jason isn’t alone.

Episode 1.

This summary is going to include the theory that Elias, Jon and Martin are all voices in FR3DD1! I’m sure you all can do your research.

I’m going to start off with my general thoughts! This episode was long and I’m sorry for the rant, it’s supposed to be concise but I got distracted! Please let me know what you’d like me to focus on in future, I’d love to hear your ideas!

What are my thoughts?

- At the beginning, we seem to be listening to this episode from the recording of a PC. Maybe the very same PC that holds Jon and his friends? Who knows!

TEDDY: Teddy’s leaving party! That totally isn’t gonna bite him in the arse! I find it quite surprising as I thought institute workers couldn’t leave. Though, this is the OIAR. Not the institute. But I think we’ll be seeing our little friend quite soon!

COLIN: Colin is a little ray of sunshine, isn’t he? Can’t wait to see how he handles our little friends in the computer! He seems to be under the sort of “curse” that prevents him from leaving. Teddy seems to know it. Which begs the question, why can Teddy leave? He has been working on this program for 2 years, and has tried everything under the sun! At the end, he seems rather frenzied. He is frantically searching through drawers and talking to FR3DD1. He seems aware that Freddy can hear him, and determined to find out! I wonder how well that went for our past team, hmm?

GWEN: It seems Gwen’s anger is unfounded. Why? I haven’t a clue. Maybe we’ll find out why she hates Alice in later episodes? She also seems to want to be head of the OIAR badly. Maybe something to do with her being a Bouchard?

- “modified version of Windows NT 4.0” maybe that detail will be useful!

SAM: Sam on his paperwork ticked a box called “response 121”! I’m sure that’ll have 0 consequences later on whatsoever! Don’t you?

And it turns out we get another statement too! This one seems to be read out by Chester, who I believe to be Jon, but it doesn’t give us a clear name! Here are the details!

A brief summary: a spelunker called “RedCanary” goes to explore the Magnus institute ruins after some form of fire happened years ago. He seems spooked out, finding “symbols and stuff and some pretty suspicious stains on some floors.” Aswell as a sense of anxiety he didn’t have before! He ended up getting banned due to Gory images, something about eyes? Maybe it’s our good friend Jonah leaving his mark! Who knows?

now im falling into the classic trap (thinking about gender in the buffyverse) bc ive often thought its interesting how the shows get So close to portraying men as victims of sexual violence/abuse without actually ever landing it like. the episode in which 15 year old Xander gets literally preyed upon by a teacher ends up commenting on how teenage boys posture about virginity and how they're often lying to seem cooler, without really engaging with how Xander nearly got like, legit raped. and again with Xander and Faith in s3, she properly assaulted him to an undisclosed but pretty obviously severe degree and it's only brought up afterwards for jokes. drusilla kissing Giles for her own entertainment when he was tied up + getting tortured by angel. Darla assaulting Angel in his sleep in ats s2. every scene where a male character gets tortured by a female character with erotic overtones (can count four off the top of my head).

it's like they want to depict women as capable of cruelty and sexual exploitation but they dont want to go so far as to acknowledge men sometimes don't want sex, so there's always this implicit insistence that the men here aren't Victims but the women are still Evil, just in a hot and horny way. and given the less than stellar track record of depicting female abuse victims too it's not like I should expect any better but still, it's frustrating that they seem to have so often come So close to breaking that pattern only to then resume the sexism immediately

Happy new years!

This year I have been more active on art and ngl im very happy with its journey and out come of it so far! I am also gonna use this opportunity to talk a bit about this year Last few months have been very though on me mentally, a lot of close call's and mistakes we're made but i have come out of them alive - im pretty happy im still around.

The new blog has helped with the inspiration and the friends ive made are very dear to me - I've been wanting to tackle horror/darker themes for a while so im glad i caved and made No ones city bcs its been helping with experimenting and the inspiration itself!

Im not sure yet if I would like to head back to Darla because once again i feel nothing for it or am pretty unhappy with it - either i can try again to rewrite it or do something else with it but Im letting you all know im not returning to it anytime soon maybe after I finally get my pills I will feel something for it.(I can always migrate Darla and cast into Monarchs blog not sure)

I've been getting okay income through commission which makes me feel over moon(at same time very conflicted) because I have always wanted to work only with art and now that i am mostly it makes me happy to see people actually interested in it! And I honestly wouldnt be able to without the people's help and their kind actions! I love seeing the different stuff people commission me - I always find it very fun to work with them! Im self employed as you all know and Im happy to not anymore worry or stress i wont be able to pay for groceries or the phone bill on my part!

Im not sure if I have written everything I would like to say because usually when I do sit down and want to talk all the words just leave me and i look like a fish out of whatever and very lost.

i went into the willingham arc of robin93 thinking it was gonna be really well written and introduce fleshed out civilian characters and left annoyed at best and filled with rage about the sheer amount of military propaganda at worst. darla/laura was leagues more interesting than blondman and gets mentioned SIGNIFICANTLY less. i wonder why. at least i had her & fresh blood (and a momentary kon cameo <3) to get through the tim focused parts of willingham’s run bc. woof.
