I’M BACK FROM HIKE ‼️ ‼️ IT WAS SO GOOD GUYS. ACTUALLY SO WONDERFUL I LOVED IT SO SO MUCH

#(also did tumblr change its layout again…)#ANYWAY HIKE WAS INCREDIBLE!!#one of our leaders was this awesome guy who was a theatre kid and gay and incredibly nice and chill #hes friends with some ppl involved in the current west end production of rocky horror which is cool… AND HE KNEW AMERICAN #OSYCHO THE MUSICAL!!!! which was SO AWESOME #and i spent the whole 6 days with 7 of my friends and we made so many stupid jokes (sososo many terrible hawk tuah jokes. it was great)#and it was just the most fantastic time ever #and the bush was so beautiful and interesting and it was tiring to hike through but so worth it #and we sung songs and saw a blue tongue lizard and a dead deer and many currawongs #and swum in the river and got water from there and cooked many mediocre meals and made inside jokes and gosh it was just so good #i have more to say but i need to shower. please tell me if anything super cray cray happened while i was gone

#idk the name of it especially not in english lol #they did that thing when they make 3 incisions and check with cameras rather than like. cutting me way the fuck open #it all went well and im doin stuff like eating with no trouble n whatnot so its all good 👍#i like surgery ive always wanted surgery so im glad at how things turned out teehee ^__^#also the fact that this whole thing took less than 24 hours was incredible #like. from when we drove to the er and when they moved me back to my room after surgery it all took like 22hrs total #it was awesome that never happens. last time my appendix was fucking me over we waited 3 days and then nothing happened and i just went home #so that was cool. and im glad its over even though i like hospitals ^_^

god. can i just say i love the youtube deltarune theorycrafting scene so much. the way that the most prominent theorists actually talk to each other and do like collabs and constantly, CONSTANTLY shout out each other's videos in their own. its just so nice to see how even if their ideas dont always line up, everyone is united and all work together to unravel this crazy story

#honestly i feel like its so collaborative that most of the time you cant even watch a deltarune theory/analysis video without there being #some kind of reference to another person's video/post/whatever that they're bouncing off of or using as a resource #its so cool how one person will make a video and then everyone will start using that video as a resource to send ppl to if they need to #catch up on certain things. the one i see most often is the ''who dr gaster is and why that matters to deltarune'' vid by misty sparkles #(i love that video so much)#and recently i've seen a lot of videos reference andrew cunningham's incredible video about gaster's motif #oh also ''the depths and the submarine castle town theory'' by brix vgm i also see referenced a lot #it seems like that's become a very popular theory. which is cool because i like that theory and think its very plausible #esp since its pretty simple. i mean the vid's only 8 minutes its not some sprawling all encompassing theory #ANYWAYS. sorry. i just love deltarune theorizing so much #AND EVEN IF UR NOT ONE OF THOSE MORE POPULAR THEORISTS!!!!!! #legend of zelda #not tagging the specific game because I hated it #botw hate #breath of the wild hate #its not just the stamina #not just the lack of inventory #not just the fragility of freaking everything #the amiibo thing is par for the freaking course #but the gameplay was just okay #i am genuinely a fan of the way they rendered things #the render distance workarounds are really cool #but the game feels way more graphical than functional #and I hated playing it #so incredibly much #and i do not get the hype #I thought some elements were not good signs when I heard about them pre release #but all the reviews were like “awesome” “so well done” “not even a problem” and they suck

i wish there was a way for me to likeee. semi change this one thingin this one mod. but 1 im not a modder 2 i feel like thats disrespectful. i just want sort of an inbetween between the game and this mod but that is not a thing that exist... sigh

#NOT COMPLAINING ABT THE MOD just personal preference im not saying the mod bc i dont want it seen as an attack but basically i like mods #that add a bit more realism while also keeping some stuff yfm... like 4 example Random example unrelated i like the idea of Having to decid #what to do with the remains of a dead sim and having the body stick around but i also like having the grim reaper appear.... so in my ideal #death mod the sim dies and then the grim reaper shows up to like. take their soul but the body stays. im not a modder so idk how possible..#also ig that kind of doesnt fully make sense since the ghosts r still afoot so ig itd just be him severing the connection btwn the body and #soul right. not taking anything... which i suppose is what he does in the basegame is he severs the connection and then takes the body w/#him. which is kind of funny. whats he need that for is it just courtesy or is he doing smtg w/ them. bc ik you get the gravestone/urn when #they die and those r the remains but like. ? he just like. conjures those doesnt he. body vanishes and then those appear. does he just #rearrange the atoms of the body into those things. bc i dont subscribe to the idea that he actually digs a hole for the corpse idt theres #anything down there bc u cn put a basement right under a grave and no issues. so i think he magics the bodies away and then either somehow #transforms those bodies into the appropriate grave marker (unclear on if theres even actually ash in the urn like is that mentioned. OR he #takes them leaves the urn and gravestone and then just has the bodies to do whatever with. WHATS HE DOING !!! is it a nice like Ill just #handle this so they dont have to (presumptuous. caring for a body is a rly important thing in many cultures and it can be a great way to #process a loss for some ppl (not all obviously. grief is very personal this is one of my autism things sry)) but ig in simnation society it #isnt that important Evidently. but idk... either hes taking them as a favor to help out/soften the blow bc obv nobody Likes seeing the grim #reaper olive sit down. connor sit down. so hes like well ill handle this. or is it something more nefarious WHTS HE DOINGG tell me. i think #funny to imagine he just teleports the body elsewhere ik he prolly just destroys it but its kind of awesome to imagine theres a giant magic #crematorium and like. a columbarium. idk why i assume cremation itd just save space in his. realm? i he has a realm. if i were him and i #didnt have a realm id be kinda pissed id call the watcher and be like heyyy um... yk. but ya i think thats cool bc i love lands of the dead #gotta be one of my favorite things (autistic) and i think its just cool to imagine a place where the remains of every person whos ever live #r kept. be that their soul as is traditional or their literal remains in this case. isnt that kind of cool.. love it. but again we probably #arent supposed to rly think abt it he prolly jut vaporizes them into nothing. i just wanted to have fun... bring a positive sort of vibe.#anyways. i would like to be able to have The body just bc i think thats cool and i think itd be awesome to have a mod that adds in more #grieving practices from around the world but obviously thatd be like. taking a break from creatures of sonaria to play tower of adventures has genuinely been one of the best decisions we've made for our health im so serious

#for those who are reading this and dont know what cos is:#cos is a roblox game where you get to play as a variety of creatures #which sounds REALLY cool and its really fun to begin with #until you realize that the head devs of the game are EXTREMELY greedy #(not to say devsis isnt greedy obviously but these fuckers take it to a level of incredibly unfun)#every event is like dragging a lead weight around. you have to grind so much in them to get some of the rewards #every event is extremely p2w and its getting so much worse for every single event and it sucks #some of the choices when it comes to the updates arent always great either #the game went through an entire recode and its somehow more buggy than how it was BEFORE the recode #and attempts to report certain bugs in their discord can result in VERBAL WARNINGS. this isnt a joke im fucking serious #oh and dont get me started on the fanbase. sorry but FUCK the fanbase. most toxic fanbase weve ever had the displeasure of being in #people will harass each other constantly in the games and afaik the devs do jack shit about it. the community is so unmoderated its horrifi #like i obviously dont expect them to moderate each and every single thing players do. thats impossible #but even the fanbase itself is FULLY aware of how toxic the community is. and the devs have never commented on it or done shit abt it #to our knowledge at least #like OBVIOUSLY devsis does pull p2w shit every now and then. but they dont do it for the ENTIRE FUCKING GAME #idk. i hate that such an awesome game with so much potential is going downhill so rapidly #like we made friends there n all and thats cool but. god it just doesnt feel enjoyable when every server we join in results in a verbal war #OK rant over sorry aoguahsgdha

im just a girl who loves ghost kids sorry to say. im also a girl who gets rly upset by child death. but i love ghost kids im very nuanced

#i just love ghosts.... so yes #<- i dont actually believe in ghosts tbqh. i wish i could i think itd be rly rly cool if they were real #but idrt they are. but i do find the concept of them incredibly interesting and theyre one of my fav likee. subject matters for shows #and i find it fascinating how theyre so like. ubiquitous. like sooo many cultures have ghosts and that rly rly interests me #bc i love seeing what folklore/superstition has to say abt like. the collective psyche #and i think its rly cool that pretty much everyone was like What if our loved ones who died never really left. i think its like.#its rly sad and also weirdly heartwarming that people from all over the world have been thinkjng abt this for so long #and it ALSO amazes me that most ghost like..mythos. also says that they Shouldnt be here and that they need to move on #thats rly rly amazing to me bc like. the concept of ghosts is very wish fulfillment. yk. everybody has wished that their loved ones #were still here. but the fact that within the wish fulfillment everybody agrees that they shouldnt be here. is very very interesting 2 me #i just love ghosts is the gist of it i think theyre very cool and like #outside of rhe cool like. psychological implications and stuff. i think theyre coollll i love morbid stuff and ghosts r ovv very morbid #i think the imagery ppl associate with ghosts is awesome i think the stories ppl tell eith ghosts are awesome i just love ghosts!!

as someone who's really into the Isekai genre, its legitimately the BEST ONE I'VE EVER READ. Noriko, our intrepid protagonist, literally not even speaking the language of the new world she's in is honestly my favorite part! She's so god damn cute!!

babygirl blind seer Geeta and her "all fumbles" dad Agol are ALSO so cute!!

Izark is also regrettably incredibly hot and we LOVE an overpowered but highly empathetic male protag who's got the social prowess of a deer released into an amusement park

the side characters are also SO charming and recognizable, and have their own distinct personalities to the point that later on, you'll see some familiar faces!

I love that the little psychic animals Chimo are introduced by an antagonist and we spend the story initially thinking they're a force of evil, before meeting some being properly cared for and its like oh no they're just gerbils who are psychic type ok

the gray birds fuck severely, all my homies love the gray birds, ESPECIALLY the twin girlies they FUCK SEVERELY AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN

I love that some of the antags turn into protags!! we fucking LOVE Barago. BAR A GOOOO BAR A GOOOO

listen man this is me pitching this series. its so good. i just love it so much. its simple, its clean cut, the characters are all unique, the premise is simple for what it is, and our protagonist doesn't have any superpowers other than wanting to try her very best at all times. its so god damn good

@txf-fic-chicks-blog seven years of almost daily recs, with well-written blurbs and a lot of fun, run by @kateyes224 and @piecesofscully. Look out for their themed days: "Casefile Monday", "Tumblr Tuesday", "Editor's Pick Wednesday", "Post-Ep/Missing Scene Thursday", "Novel Length Friday", "Smut Sunday", and the very cool "Because You Watched"

@msrlibrary a well-tagged library of MSR fics; each entry includes a short excerpt and a nicely chosen image from the show.

@201daysofxfiles a rewatch blog by fandom veteran @wendelah. Each episode in season 1-7 is paired with its own fic rec post.

@enigmaticxbee an aesthetically pleasing and neatly organized rewatch blog that is packed with great content, including excellent fic rec lists categorized by season, story type, trope, and more. Each episode guide sometimes features related fic recs.

@thatfragilecapricorn30 posts one fic rec every Friday, accompanied by a nice writeup.
