It's a cruel thought. Cruel and cold and merciless, but Danny doesn't feel an ounce of shame, not an ounce of guilt, for it. He wants to be alone with the Joker when he kills him, that's all he wants. In Arkham, you are never alone.

He forces his anger to bubble back down into his chest, stuffing it between his heartstrings and his ribs like a blanket you're trying to bunch up into a corner. It sizzles and burbles. The static begins to fade out into a high-pitched ringing; it sounds like distant screaming.

Danny is still trembling, but he can think a little clearer now.

He can wait.

the crazy thing about how people talk about polyamory on this site is one of two things happens: 1. People shit on polyamory & those who practice it. OR 2. People talk about wanting polyamory or not wanting it respectfully but are fueled by an inherent misunderstanding of what polyamory is. Frustrates the hell out of me but what are you going to do, y'know? People are so stuck on this idea of triads being the polyamorous norm and I honestly think no one cares to learn otherwise. Triads can work, but man. They are not the norm nor a realistic goal; especially when you're going "well I would want to date with my partner so it feels balanced"- okay, so what if the new partner wants to break up with you but stay with your partner. Would you force them to break up so it "feels balanced" again? Idk. Some people on this site treat polyamory like it's the avoid jealousy at all costs game instead of a relationship structure that takes work & is, quite frankly, not easy. If you can't manage your jealousy enough that you NEED to date as a unit with your partner then like... why are you even practicing polyamory? You don't want polyamory, you want polyamory without any of the icky feelings that come with it (which won't work anyway, because those feelings will STILL come up). Also polyamory isn't free from jealousy idk where some of you got that idea. On that note, experiencing jealousy also doesn't mean failing polyamory. HOWEVER: If you cannot learn to emotionally regulate yourself, you will not do well in polyamory. You need to be able to deal with your jealousy on your own. You can find comfort in your partners, but you can't expect them to cater to your jealousy.

Fun fact: Hajime’s height in Japanese is 179 cm and in feet, 5’10.

Meaning that not only Mikan and Hajime would be the same height, but Hajime’s the tallest of the DR protagonists! Makoto (160 cm, aka 5’2), Komaru (163 cm, 5’4), Kaede (167 cm, 5’5) and Shuichi (171 cm, 5’7). RIP Makoto.

ok hold on hold on imma use this as an excuse to rant about cm to feet because when I started simping for Nagi and found out he was 180cm and everyone kept saying he's 5'11'' but when I converted it it came out to 5'9" I went down a rabbit hole of trying to get to the truth and found that EVERYONE IS LYING IT'S ALL A FUCKING LIE

I've used so many different converters online and it seems the most consistent number for 179 to feet is 5.87 which would translate either to 5'8"or 5'9" if you're feeling generous. ok ok but THEN you get converters like THIS:

That says it somehow translates to 5'10"?? a whole ONE TO TWO INCHES MORE??? LIKE I GET ROUNDING IT TO 5'9" OK THAT MAKES SENSE BUT HOW THE FUCK DID YOU ADD AN ENTIRE INCH TO THAT?? BUT THEN IF YOU DIVIDE 70.4742 INCHES BY 12 INCHES IT'S STILL 5.87 FEET!

Oh oh but THEN if you apply this to Makoto's height of 160 you get THIS:

So then WHY does shit get weird with height around Hajime's and Nagito's??Well. I noticed something while trying to figure out Mikan's height since originally I had wanted to put her in CM since that seemed simplier but I couldn't gauge how much two more inches would be in CM thus I went back to the converters to convert once again from cm to feet (mistake).

Well interesting enough, when I put Mikan to 182 cm google converts it to 5.97feet:

which should be about an inch more than Hajime who's at 5.87 yeah? Then it implies that every inch is roughly 3 cm which google confirms as well:

ok ok the logic then would be that if I want Mikan to be TWO inches taller than Hajime then she'd need to be at least 185cm as 179cm+6cm = 185cm which should translate to around 5.8 feet + 2 inches = 5.10 feet

BUT THEN!!!!

if you put 185cm into google you get:

SIX FUCKING WHOLE FEET!!!!!!!!!

WE WENT FROM 5'9" TO 6' A WHOLE THREE INCHES

Here's the deal alright. Because 3cm is actually a bit more than an inch (1.18 inches), those extra inches start adding up and can add ALMOST an inch which is why we can get those sudden jumps. I acknowledge this and accept this as fact.

But I will NOT accept Hajime nor Nagito being 5'10" or 5'11" because really they're approx 5.872feet and 5.905feet and even if we're being kind and rounding up then really they'd be 5'9" and 5'10" on a good day. Though really Nagito should still be 5'9" because im sorry honey you juuuust made it to 5.9 and you're only 1cm taller than Hajime not 3cm not even 2cm. Hajime and Nagito have little to no height difference.

So thus, 5'10" Mikan would still, in fact, be taller than Hajime AND Nagito. Now, all that being said, what would Mikan's height be in cm? Well, for simplicity's sake we'll say she's 182.

TLDR: Converting metric that is based on the powers of 10s with the Imperial system based on the division of 3s, 12s, and whatever the fuck you feel like that day messes everything up and gives you wildly different perceptions of height and everyone is simultaneously correct but also wrong and Byakuya is 6 foot tall fuck you he's doesn't get to round up he has enough height already he needs to learn to share and be humbled. Going buckwild at the way Hilda The Series portrays adulthood and loneliness. Kaisa has no one to go to to ask for help getting the due book back, even though all it would take was someone she could minimally ask to knock on an elderly lady’s door and ask for a favour; she’s in the library after hours, is shown to have no allies aside from the woman who raised her and who she lost contact with. Johanna is only ever seen working or caring for Hilda, and her lack of a life aside from those two activities is pointed out by her own daughter when she thinks that this is going so far as to affect their relationship. The bell keeper lives alone in a small cabin on the edge of town, barely within city limits and away from everyone, a house barely even inhabitable and clearly only a place to sleep and eat. He works a solitary job and he’s the only one in the town still working it, meaning he’s probably overworked and forced to pull inhumanly long shifts. Victoria hyperfocused so hard on her projects that whatever friends she had before - and she must have had some from college time at least - lost contact with her, and she never made any other connections in Trolberg, anything that would tie her to the city and it’s inhabitants and make it so it wasn’t worth it to live by herself at the top of a hill. Even when that was over, she still chose to isolate herself somewhere abandoned and keep what was essentially another machine she’d built as her source of company, something she could understand and control instead of an unpredictable human being. Gerda works a job she likes but is shown to be disregarded by the person she works the most around, her abilities and intellect thrown aside for the good of someone she has to bear because of a hierarchy she was forced to accept in order to keep working. She’s appreciated by the town, but other than the main characters, we don’t see anyone paying her any mind when they don’t need something from her.

Meanwhile no kid has ever been alone in Trolberg. The mean kids are a group, the good kids are a group, even the gloomy teenage girls are a group. One of nightmare inducing entities, but a group nonetheless. All children in that world seem to operate on a ‘no man left behind’ code, looking out for each other even if they aren’t exactly fans of one another, helping even grown ups without asking why and working together. And this logic seems to extend to the adults who work around children too; especially the Raven Leader, who we see that through the children works as a vital part of the community and a way through which it comes together.

This isn’t very articulate but do you see the point? Do you see how clever that is? That a show about growing up has these themes? You can be magical, kind, strong, intelligent, competent, but none of that will make you truly happy if you don’t keep the most important thing from childhood? If you don’t keep your friendships, your bonds, something to tie you down to your reality and your community? The adults in the show all made their choices, and it’s okay to want to be alone, we all need it and some more than others (this is coming from someone who needs it a lot), but isolating yourself completely is the one thing that will make growing pains truly painful. I’m just so emotional over it. It’s so subtle and so clever considering the whole Mountain King plot that Hilda is willing to change species because she feels detached from her main relationships and surroundings. I love this show so much.

as a kid she was already trying to be a very diligent witch-to-be!! she would spend a lot of time with her mom while she was making spells, so between reading a lot of spellbooks + hanging out when her mom was making potions + wanting to be like her mom, shes good at spotting things that could be used in spells even from an early age!!

(that being said, as a kid she still messed up a lot on the right ingredients. shed bring home random items and be like "I got us spell ingredients!!" and tiramisu would be like "Oh!! Thanks sweetie!!" and didnt have the heart to tell her that whatever she brought home was some useless piece of grass or something jkldj)
