Okay so “re-introducing” Haley and Emma part 2 (&1! Swipe to see↩️) in this post. After yesterdays post with crazy low engagement/reach, I’m trying this again. Thanks to those who voted on insta story and shared their experience with me about this business profile mode 😵! Most importantly, Thank you all for liking, commenting for the new style! Your feedback helped me make certain decisions I was hesitant about & I'm happy with the results. While I was thinking about this method and different approaches for months, the actual experiment/creating process was done in less than 2 weeks. In which, I did multiple studies (digital and traditional), altered sketches, completed 3 illustrations, and seriously stared at them on and off for long periods of time. Next time I do something experimental, I’m gonna give myself plenty of time! (Swipe👈👉) Results of embracing the #scbwi Illustrator's Day novelty book assignment this past Saturday, it was quite a challenge but also a lot of fun. I made a little dummy about dancing, and for the 1st time made some of the pop-up elements! Crafting this was both easier and harder than I thought! Things did not work out as I've planned during the drafting stage, but I'm glad I was able to find solutions when I can physically work out the mechanics. Do you what to see more?
