Finally back home after a long and stressful afternoon! Turns out my grandad has a minor heart attack but he's okay! The hospital are keeping him in for observations! I’m tired and down mentally, having kept a brave face on for my rather upset mother but as I reminded her, he’s in the right place! My minds racing with thoughts and the what ifs but I guess that's my burden to bare! Up for work at 5am but so very tempted to take a personal day, so who knows!

Probably going to be up for a few hours as I'm too wired! Feel free to ask me shit to distract my thoughts!

Can Pokémon from different egg groups fall in love?

Of course.

It happens frequently in the wild and with trainers.

Attraction can occurr for many reasons, it's pretty typical for a species to be attracted to each other in a natural compulsion to breed, but in some cases the two species, usually of a higher intelligence or awareness, can bypass the compulsion for actual connections.

Now in the wild we hope to see natural egg group pairings, and when we are trying to help with enrichment and conservation we do try to keep things to the egg groups, but when it comes to special cases, we tend to leave things as they are.

Pokemon can become depressed and ultimately stop functioning as a result, which is absolutely devastating and terrible to watch happen.

It does happen so often, but most species have the desire to find mates in their own groups.

That's just nature.

i'm a writer irl (can't say who because my agent would rightfully put me into a blender and press the button if i go and out myself as "balrogballs") and honestly the funniest and most humiliating incident of my life was the time my finished manuscript triggered a plagiarism flag with the publisher for two lines of prose in my literary fiction novel...

.... which was word for word similar to a paragraph in a certain explicit work on FFN starring elrond and his batsman from the hobbit films, aka that one elf that looked like he ate panic attacks for breakfast (i forget his name but it's Figwit II) where the lord of imladris bends said twink over his writing desk and gives him the battering ram treatment.

and if you think i had to sit in front of one if the biggest publishing companies in the world and admit that it was, in fact, me who wrote the fic where the lord of imladris bends said twink over his writing desk and gives him the battering ram treatment in order to avoid being wrongly flagged for plagiarism, you would be absolutely correct.
