something that makes me especially Deranged about the eleventh hour is that clint, justin and travis don't refuse the chalice purely because it's the correct thing to do in the game. it is clear that through the two and a half-ish years they had spent playing that they have each really solidified their character's motivation and ideals that they can 100% convincingly say that merle, taako and magnus would not take the chance to rewrite their individual (and then collective) story: merle says that he's not one to dwell on regrets, that for better or for worse, he will always look forward, taako realizes that his hands are clean in the Glamour Springs tragedy, and any role he did play in Sazed's decision isn't worth changing, and isn't worth the risk of using the relic, and magnus knows that despite how much he wants to change the fate of the people he lost, they'd be horrified by that decision, and he loves them too much to do that. and i listen to all of that and begin chewing at the leg of the nearest table.

how do you think the scavengers grieved flywheels' death? do decepticons have different practices for mourning a fallen comrade than autobots, was the scavengers taking parts from him their own way of mourning him, of giving him some sort of a send off? does krok occasionally tell someone to pair off with him when scavenging, before remembering that flywheels isn't there anymore, did misfire save a bit of flywheels' inner most energon for when krok woke up, does spinister ever miss having to fix flywheels after he got stuck midtransformation due to not getting enough space before he lied and something got caught, does crankcase miss having some company when he's piloting the wap, as flywheels was great company, is fulcrum ever haunted by the presence of flywheels and what happened to him because he was the reason the djd showed up on clemency

I just think everyone should take a moment to consider the question "what is your visual shorthand for cruelty?" and then follow it up with a critical "and who taught you that?"

why is an evil timeline character design disabled? (why do the heroes go through equally punishing battles and never lose an arm, a leg, an eye?)

why are the futuristic scifi terrorists uniformly darker skinned? (why are the heroes so much lighter?)

why is the greedy boss fat? (why are the heroes skinny?)

why is the criminal mastermind heavily scarred? (why is the brooding, traumatized hero unscathed?)

why is the predatory creep a bearded person in a dress and makeup? (why are none of the heroes trans women?)
