ok more veilguard complaints- what the fuck happened to the combat. they took away all the unique bits and turned it into a generic hack and slash. like im sure some people prefer it but its fucking DRAGON AGE. YOU CANT EVEN SWAP TO OTHER PARTY MEMBERS. WHAT. and what sucks the absolute MOST is that. ok. my player character is a mage. ive played as a mage at least once in every dragon age game. and that has been sucking absolute shit at least in early game so far in veilguard because the enemies seem to target me and ONLY me because. companions dont even get a health bar. im sprinting around the battlefield getting the shit kicked out of me because the big powerful guys are ATTACKING ME NON STOP. and as a mage, in order to do literally ANY attacks you need to fully stop moving which usually means i get smacked and knocked aside before i can even get a single attack out. its annoying as shit and it makes fights last 20x longer than they should because im fleeing for my fucking life while my companions draw exactly 0 agro away. it doesnt help that so far my only available companions are. 2 rogues and 2 mages.

and i GUESS i can see that theyre trying to modernize the combat in a similar way to how the witcher 3 or baldurs gate 3 both completely reworked combat but. like. i felt like that already happened with inquisition. and also speaking of baldurs gate 3 that game feels way more like a dragon age game than veilguard. so i think im even MORE disappointed because of that

I love Deadpool and Wolverine for all the normal reasons, but one thing that im obsessed with is that now a whole bunch of people are watching the X-Men movies for the first time because of it. The thing is that, so many years later, its an enitrely new generation and demographic watching those films, and seeing the completely different point of views on Hugh Jackman's Wolverine from a 2000 target audience and now an audiance from 2024 is fucking hysterical.

Wolverine was fucking peak masculinity and one of the only superhero characters in a well-received high budget movie at the time, a really serious character in a really fucking serious film that removed all the comicbook campiness and whimsy to desperately avoid bombing at the box office in lue of Batman Forever's release. Like there is legit no room to question how fucking sick they make him in X-Men.

And now we are watching these movies again in 2024 and the general consensus is that he's just a silly little guy with kitty hair and making shitty girly Wolverine edits is hilarious.

I think if you made a comment about Wolverine having kitty ears in 2000 it would get you socially outcasted, now it gets you over 2k comments on tiktok agreeing with you.
