I never noticed it in game until now. There is one for Chesed's as well but its taken from my phone so I won't add the hall. Below are the writings in a clearer form to see along with a bit of scuffed translation for some. In order its Malkuth, Yesod, Netzach, Hod, Tiphereth A (Girl, First Section), Tiphereth B (Boy, Second Section), Chesed, Gebura, Hokma, and Binah. It's labeled as [sephirah name][ester] in assets.

I'm assuming the reason why I couldn't find the ones in the bottom layer in game is due to the fact they have Binah and Hokma as their sephirahs. And Yesod's department... it explains itself. If they are there I'm just blind. I used google translate for some of them but stopped after awhile as i had to manually try to match up characters after writing the general shape and that takes awhile BUT! In Malkuth's they talk about how 'joint training sucks' and how one sin and a hundred good deeds is 'creepy' with a doodle of it as well. Yesod's has one of an employee going 'We are all going to die!' with it underlined and a smaller response to it being 'shut up, you piece of shit!' along with a drawing of a PE box and it being called 'the root of all evil'. Chesed having a huge 'PESCA' (fishing) because of his ocean themed department. Even the clerks have sailor uniforms. Also a 'Get out of here!' near the left side as well with an 'already?' right next to the tally marks. Netzach's talking about the beer vending machine, how the upper layers are better (i couldn't tell what the response to that comment was supposed to be though) and 'here is the enkephalin'. Again, machine translated so not the EXACT words and only for a couple of them but I hope it's interesting!

Alr heres my TF2 ships that I like / am uncomfortable with because nobody asked 🤩

Now the thing with me is that I'm am NOT a multi shipper, if I like one ship the most, then that is the one I'm going to be sticking with, every other ship just becomes 'meh' to me. It's also just a matter that I really dont see any dynamics between other characters once I already have one ship.

And then he comes home again, it should be the same. But instead you have a walking abomination of... Him. (It looks like 3 different versions of him. Sometimes he might do something so vaguely 'him' but just different enough that it's near uncanny (again, multiple shoved into 1 body yk?)

And sometimes those three try to do all at once, making his mouths garble with intent that doesn't come through. Or multiple arms try to do the same thing at once and get in the way, or do multiple different things and he fumbles for a moment, pausing to recollect and try again.

(not to go on, but the monster fanatic in me is absolutely jumping out rn)

And I just wonder how that extends to you. His partner. Does each variation have different ways of referring and you can use the terms to distinguish who's really leading the body? Can you tell by the way his hands grab or pet or embrace?

You have to kiss each head though. They get grumbly if they miss a kiss, especially if the other heads get one.

It would be amusing watching him to to fight himself, but best we not do that.

As a final thought. However uncanny watching three move one body can be, imagine how intimidating it would be when all three decide on one goal. Synched words, motions, intentions.

Don't apologize. I've been checking tumblr to see if you'd come back lmao. Also I love horror, and body horror is such an interesting concept to me. Especially as someone who doesn't feel comfortable in their own body. Also Ghost cerberus is totally giving me brain worms, so we're in the same boat, anon.

I feel like the first few days of living with Ghost are rough. He's constantly fumbling, jerk motions of half attempted actions. Constantly seems to be at odds with his own body, his own mind.

(Idk if it's the other members of the 141, or just 3 different versions of Ghost because, as you said, he's got Soap's arm and pieces of the other's clothes. But all 3 heads belong to Ghost. I'm pretty sure one of them is suppose to be zombie Ghost too.)

The only thing he seems in sync on is you. When he reaches out to touch it, it's with all the arms. But each caress is gentle, comforting. Maybe a little possessive, but that's not new.

Things get easier as the days go on. He seems to fall back into step with himself, but each head has its own personality, its own thoughts. There's a carefully balanced routine within himself, and with you.

Also, he's so much bulkier now. Imagine how great he'd be at cuddling! I think it would take some time for him to feel comfortable initiating any kind of affection, so unsure if you still even want him now that he looks like this. But those thoughts quiet down over time, and you find yourself constantly being pulled in for multi armed hugs and cuddles.

Also, I think the first proper sentence he gets out is, "I love you." It's the only thing all three heads can agree on. :)

i've been having an itch to write an if game, do you have any tips? i feel like its a very bad idea to jump straight in head first yk?

So much of it is a "figure it out as you go" kind of thing, but here's what I've learned, personally, and how I usually go about things!

1.) Figure out the kind of story you're trying to tell. That goes with any form of media. Is it a comedy? A tragedy? Is it meant to read like an old fairytale or a YA novel? What makes writing good is incredibly subjective, so it's important to find your genre + voice as a writer and play into your strengths. You can't satisfy everyone, so aim to satisfy yourself.

2.) Figure out who the player character is. What is their history? What's their role in the story? Why are they the player character? Figure out how much variation you want for them-- what's solidified about their past, and what's open for headcanons, and what's open for choices in-game?

3.) Treat MC with as much dedication as your main characters-- don't separate them from everyone else. People want MC to feel like an active part of the story. This is a generalization, of course, but I know myself and others enjoy an MC who has agency and feels just as fleshed out as the other characters in the story. I don't want MC to feel like a "observer" but rather an active character in the narrative.

4.) Plan out your game mechanics + the affinity system ahead of time. This is something I didn't fully do, and while it wasn't earth destroying, it has made coding unnecessarily messy at times on my end. Is it a stat heavy game or choice heavy game? What are the important stats, and how often will the player be able to influence them? I find the second part of that to be the most important, as you want to pace stat increases/decreases with the length + pace of the game. For example, in The Exile, MC's personality can only change in the first three chapters. Once MC is brought to Plaithus, their personality is locked in. This goes for other variables too-- sometimes there are only "windows" when they're able to be influenced. This helps me keep track of what's what and not be overwhelmed by the amount of stats I have.

5.) Plan out your cast, and make sure everyone has a purpose to the story. If you can't defend the presence of a character in your story, you might need to rethink their presence, or otherwise change the character. This doesn't mean they need to have a giant, crazy character arc connected to the main story, but rather that they bring something to the table that other characters don't. That being said, it probably is a good idea to make sure every main character in the story has some sort of personal story arc. It can be small, but it's nice to see how characters change over the course of a narrative, otherwise they might feel "static."

6.) Know why you're making your story. Is it for yourself? Is it for fun? Is it to make money? Is it to make art? Will it be public or private? If you're making the game public, prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for critique and external opinions. I think we, as creators, sometimes underestimate (especially in IF and on Tumblr) just how crazy things can get with reader/author interactions.

And, my final piece of advice...

7.) Learn to set boundaries and say no with a full chest. Your game is your game at the end of the day, no one else's. Do what makes you feel happy and fulfilled and write the kind of story you want to read. And, of course, be easy on yourself. Writing takes time and effort, and sometimes you'll hit hurdles. The most important thing is to be patient with yourself and learn to keep on going forward, even when the going gets tough. As I always like to say, writing slowly is better than not writing at all!

Ok so I was watching sherb's most recent hardcore stream, or more accurately got not even a minute in and ran to Tumblr because I have thoughts, and maybe it's because I just binged Icarus's pov post-centross death but the first like 30 seconds or so of the hardcore stream made me realize the difference between someone like hardcore!Sherbert and Icarus.

Icarus is in a deep state of self loathing and needing to grief so so many things so many people they need to process so so much but their own father has convinced them that it's pointless that it's not worth it that they should just focus on other things like helping him in his endeavors and so they don't and instead they bear the weight of this feeling of guilt and dread that they carry it around all day every day and they use it like armor because they don't have much else anymore. They pour all of the doubt they used to have into blind faith in fable's cause because they will not process and they will not grief over the fact that in only the past 4 months they have either indirectly or directly been at fault for 2 of their friends deaths and that their very existence prompted the destruction of so many peoples lives fable caused the resets for them to save their life fable destroyed reality over and over and over until the universe was delt what is likely irreparable damage all for them and honesty we really don't talk enough about the guilt they must carry for that. Icarus wakes up and even if it's been a few weeks is immediately so so tired the weight of everything going on in their life waking up with them waking up with the voices that constantly tell them what they already know the voices the yell and scream that their wrong that their hurting people again that their acting corrupted The voices that never shut up day in and day out. And they stretch because sometimes keeping a routine in times like this is key to keeping sane and yk stretching is just generally a good habit. Their alone except for the emotionally distant basterd of a previously immortal man that dares call himself a father ( we're not gonna talk about how the stuff he instilled in ick when they were little influenced a large part of how the corruption presented itself in them during season 1 because this is not that post but if it was I would have so many words you don't even know) life right now is one big distraction and when it's not they either have a break down or they're chasing the next distraction and you can see that when they wake up because you get 2 kinds of Icarus in the morning angry Icarus who will take it out on quixis or us because they need that emotional release and we're easy targets or planning Icarus who is only thinking about what they need to do today they do mindless chores or talk with co-workers or are figuring out how to complete task fable asks of them.

Hardcore!Sherbert on the other hand is for better or worse alone completely and utterly aside from the things their's not a single actual person in their life. they farm they build they vibe and weird shit happens around them sometimes and they hear voices, they wake up and look forward to the next day even when they've been asleep for months they look in the bright side "not a bad thing tho it's important to get your sleep" they are so... free in comparison with Icarus and you can hear it in the way they talk its lighter you can see it in they way they move it made me realize how little Icarus actually truly smiles nowadays hardcore!sherbert has their fair share of struggles don't get me wrong but at they end of the day they're happy they enjoy life for the most part.

And Sherb does such a good Job acting out this fundamental difference between these two variations of the same guy. First of all I usually like Hanahaki BECAUSE you cannot make yourself love someone. So in general I like classic hanahaki because you get one of two situations:

1. Soft hurt/comfort where the person's self-esteem and past trauma stops them from realising the others actually love them back (I'm a soft bitch and will enjoy any variation of this trope)

2. Tragedy when they try their best to make themselves love the sick person the way they need to, they love them but not in the way they need, and in the end it feels like their love is not enough no matter how much they love and they have to watch their loved one die because of it. I'm not kidding when I made the Jason hanahaki before seeing your ask i was already like wait but for jason what if it's not about feeling unloved. What if the very act of loving someone whose love will never satisfy you, not because of its nature but because you have such a different understanding of love and what it implies, is what hurts you. What if the reason you're sick is because you love someone who keeps hurting you, and you hate that you love them, and you can't help that you love them and you can't help that you hate that you love them, and this is what kills you.

Honestly I really like your take on that, the relentlessness and desperation, and the suicidality -I can see him being so tired of the pain and at first wanting them to see and then realising they're not seeing it and getting used to it, getting comfortable in that cycle of pain and just waiting for the day it finally takes, until he has to actively conceal it because he's grown so used to his own personal garden of doom that someone finding out, and the emotional vulnerability that comes with it, is scarier than this.

Also loved your art because the version of Hanahaki death i like most is when the body horror is hardcore. Like, sure, die choking on flowers maybe but I need a whole rosier to sprout out of the ribcage, alien-style. And I think after Jason wakes up from his death, the plant is just there. I think he has a whole safehouse where he keeps his plants. He calls it the Greenhouse. It's beautiful, and the petals are bloodstained.

I have a small question i hope its not annoying i've asked this question to another writer who i liked once but they were so mean to me back so i understand that maybe its not the best question to be asked but i have ADHD and i need alittle direction so i hope maybe you can give me some (its totally okay if you dont want to ! ) Do you have any pointers to someone who has never wrote anything past school essays and to do lists if they want to start writing fanfiction and have it be nice and expressive? I have so many ideas i write them down write 5 sentences thats like a summray maybe a few sentences of some scenes of romance sorta like a small outline it feels so dry... And i dont know what to do past that... Essays had structures and preferred starting intros and all that but i feel lost when i try and start a story, i know myself and i know once i start i will not shut up but starting feels like a wall and i dont know how to climb yk ?

Firstly thank you so much and also I'm sorry you had a bad experience with another writer. You've asked this so nicely. And apologies for this being delayed I thought I had clicked post but I'd saved the draft again!

So I'm not going to claim to be an expert in this but the way I approach this is:

I start with what I want to say with a piece. What do I want to explore? What do I hope the reader will take away from it? I then jot those down for myself at the top of the document, just like you describe with your summary! If this changes as I discover things that's okay, but it's kind of my road map.

I usually also start in the middle of some action, or with a line of dialogue. Honestly you don't have to do this at all but the joy of fanfiction is you don't have to do loads of exposition! People know who the characters are and you can dive into things! It means you get stuck right in which I personally like.

I also don't write chronologically! I think we can get so stuck on things. I think of writing a story like pruning a garden, so I might write some "holding sentences" per scene and then work on scenes as they come to me. It's a good way to build up the bits as you are inspired. You can see this really clearly in a piece like Blood and Bone which is very sparse, some of the holding sentences in that fic are still in there.

When it comes to dialogue, I use the actioning method used in acting and I work out what people want to do by saying something. I like when characters don't say things outright, but say a hundred words by what they don't say. A character can say I love you, and it's good, but what if they say I don't want you to leave? What is left in the gaps?

When it comes to description I think I have a long way to go honestly but again. What are people seeing, smelling, tasting, seeing touching? What is their primary sense? Does it evoke anything else for them, or are they entirely in the moment? This can vary from character to character.

Another thing to think of is variant rhythm. Once you have a first draft down, go over it again and look at sentence structure. Can you add variation by changing the length of sentences? Can you tell a story in the rhythms you use? I'm a big fan of long run on sentences in romance showing a character losing control, for example.

And the big secret honestly is... you might well find your writing a bit dry! I find mine dry! I look at it squinting, asking whether the sex is sexy or if it's just way too out there or just completely misses the mark. We only really know when other eyes get to see it.

Now that i have seen the official confirmation that the Pestos do NOT in fact, live above their restaurant, i had to recreate a more accurate rendition of what the Pesto kids' rooms would look like at each parent's house

Starting off strong with Jimmy Sr's bachelor pad:

I used to hc that as a full family unit the pestos lived above the restaurant, and that jimmy sr kept living there after the divorce (yes i have seen the episode where they actually show where he lives), and bc of that in the past I liked the idea that the boys still got to keep their old rooms

obviously not lmfao and because Jimmy is Jimmy, his bachelor pad only has two rooms

so the boys share!

but when they are in their room they just love to draw

So she got them the craft table

She's trying to encourage independence

Bc of the divorce mama pesto just lets them get away with it

the puppy and kitty string lights are also a christmas gift from mom

She really likes to keep things clean and neat and tidy so there’s lots of storage and lots of their stuff is stored in the storage

lastly Jimmy-J won the boys those crappy fruit carnival toys and the twins really hold on to them

Mama pesto gave j-ju the biggest room

She feels really bad for him

He doesn’t have a twin (and she knows it bothers him)

He has the same carpet as the twins do in their room so that he doesn’t feel left out
