I'm familiar with riize choreography! siren has caught my eye as a fun dance for sure, get a guitar is definitely catchy, and the chorus for boom boom bass looks satisfying to execute too. also, I'm always down to watch shotaro perform.

I'm looking through the list of dances I've done, but it's hard to pick out a particular style preference. probably either aggressive dances with a lot of power (e.g. jopping, 458 by cix, tiger by hoshi, brought the heat back) or suaver but still sharp technical dances (e.g. who by astro, nightwalker by ten, watch it by the boyz, creature by e'last). I also did criminal by taemin once for a showcase, which my dance colleagues say specifically matched my style, so maybe something like that.

my dance team was full of talented people who challenged me to grow in many ways, including dance style—I was the leader of our competitive unit one year, and even I was (voluntarily) shoved out of my comfort zone many times. I'm definitely grateful for that now, but man does it make it hard to pick favorites

(please bare in mind that these are teenage boys in the 60s)

NEIL: not really his kind of movie (he's one for indie arthouse stuff, and all the poets tease him about just wanting to sound cool and different), but loves the portrayal of struggles slowly chewing away at Barbie, resulting in a breakdown, and then the reveal of it all belonging to the human experience. It makes him feel understood in a small way. Plus he thought the Kens were hot but shhh

TODD: loves 👏 the 👏 colours 👏 the whole pastel vibe is super calming to him and he likes the music, and that end bit with the trees and montage bits? it definitely touches him, kinda like Keatings speeches do, plus it was his first entry to mainstream feminism (seeing that the boys literally have like zero contact with girls), giving him a chance to maybe do some research from then on!

CHARLIE: hot take but charlie would be annoyed by its portrayal of women's struggles, he'd totally be the type of guy to like chuckle a bit when the speech about how women have to be way too many things at once comes up. i know the book is not canon and the worst but there's a scene in there where charlie gets annoyed at Gloria being like "oh it's nice that you don't just wanna make out with me but also care about my inner values" and i think that is kinda true to Charlie (at least seeing how he pretends to create poetry for the girls to show off)? Ultimately, he did want girls to join Welton just so the boys could stop "beating off", and he is just a 16 year old boy when it comes down to it- so I think that he'd love the music and would definitely identify with Ken, but I'm afraid to say he'd make fun of the feminist aspect. He has room to grow though! I genuinely believe that Charlie learns and gets better <33

KNOX: LOVES it. Come on, tell me knox isn't absolutely in love with the movie and forces the poets to watch it again because this time he wants to sing along. Oh also think he'd talk about it with Chris to like see if she shares the experience described in the movie, and knox is pretty shocked to learn that huh, women do experience discrimination?? Tries his best to be extra nice and thoughtful afterwards

MEEKS: thought it was good, but could have been better. Meeks is definitely the poet with the most education on the women's rights movement and expected something a bit more fierce or outgoing, but he still appreciates that you have to please the masses and for people who know nothing about feminism at all, like most of his friends, it's a good starting point. Laughed SO much about the horse jokes.

PITTS: thought it was funny. didn't think about the message too much, just enjoyed the music and storytelling, plus he was a big fan of the reference at the beginning! Learns the I'm just Ken choreo with Knox, and has the songs stuck in his head for the next days.

CAMERON: surprisingly moved by it. I think he'd recognise both his parents in Barbie and Ken. I'm also of the belief that Cameron is super insecure, so I think that he'd identify with barbie a LOT, but feels kinda weird about that. Doesn't say much when asked about how he liked the movie by the others.

-Upperclassman career flag who *could* make rifle line but simply doesn’t want to

- Also plays an instrument and is therefore friends with everyone

- Knows all of the cheerleaders & football players & convinces them to come to a band/winterguard competition

- Runs the guard insta & makes the section t-shirts

- Guard captain who is very supportive but also wants to WIN

- Very strict about conditioning days, but will always chill out if someone is on their period

I don't think I've ever said this, but SM had an actual great idea for Aespa's comeback. All their MVs are excellent (and the track videos were great marketing) - unlike normal SM MVs, these MVs are pretty, diverse, set outdoors, and have their own story and aesthetics each. Welcome to MY World has a super pretty MV, Spicy was very Mean Girls/High School Musical inspired and the aesthetics were trendy yet classy (Aespa's thing is being cool and untouchable so they fit so well with those aesthetics), Salty & Sweet was weird but looked cool, Thirsty was 90s inspired and playful, and the girls did some nice acting, I'm Unhappy was great - the story, the lyrics, everything was great, I loved it and wasn't expecting something with meaning from them. All the videos were like movies. They had great styling, editing, cinematography, etc. The best part is that you don't need to know or care about their lore to enjoy the videos. SM learned their lesson and made MVs that can be enjoyed by anyone while continuing Aespa's lore. I'll also add that I like Spicy's choreo. I like Aespa's lazy, cool girl choreos. Like, I love the Next Level choreo and how they execute it. Their choreos look cool imo, and not awkward or low-effort. The girls execute each move in Spicy well and it's satisfying to watch. I was watching Ningning's fancam, and she did everything flawlessly so it was so satisfying. She's graceful, yet sexy, powerful and playful. She had great facial expressions too. I love that sassy hand clap thing and the way she says "So bad.". I think the Spicy choreo is fun and flirty and fits them. Giselle isn't a great dancer, but she didn't look bad in her fancam. I think Winter is the lead dancer, but she lacks power when she dances. Still, she didn't look bad either. Karina danced with power and she's the main dancer. While she did everything right, I think Ningning had sass and personality and was much funner to watch - for those reasons, she did a better song bringing the song to life too. She's such a rockstar. Even if Aespa aren't brilliant dancers, they look good, cool, and confident when they dance. They execute the moves properly and with the right attitude, which is honestly much better than having awkward and complex choreos no one can pull off. Their dancing might be a bit underrated. They all look much better dancing than NMIXX, for example (imo).

Honestly kinda weird but in a good way? Super kind, and generous, and sympathetic, i always consider other peoples feelings first ofc! 🦐 He finds out early on in the relationship about your habit of collecting sea shells. Now, because of him that collection has expanded a great amount. Look, you're dating a merman, he can and will be going under the water to gather the best and biggest shells thay he can find for your ccollection. But your personal favorite is a little cream colored chipped clam shell. He brought that one back after finding it randomly on a walk and it is now the most cherished one in the collection.

🦐 The way your mood fluctuates matches how his does, and while it annoyed him at first (like, is this how Jade and Azul feel when his does that?), he was able to quickly find out what can set you off or change your mood and is able to quickly adjust accordingly. Though he will admit that you look pretty hot when you get angry and tackle someone twice your size.

🦐 He would absolutely love to go exploring with you. It can be boring, it can be dangerous, so much could happen that you just don't know and that's what makes it exciting! Cyn's Top 10 Kpop Songs of 2023

Yes I know this is late but it's still January so who cares. I'm limiting this to korean title tracks and prerelease singles. Perhaps I'II make one for my favorite b-sides later. Alright lets go!

10. Lit by Stayc - I'll admit this one is kind of a sneak. I didn't even really get this song until this month. When I got it though I got it HARD. I think I listened to it on repeat for an hour straight. Do I actually think it's better than Teddy Bear and Bubble? Maybe not but I do think I like it the most. It's so brain scratchy!

9. Rising by TripleS - What a great song to be the group's official debut! I can really tell that they're Loona's little sister group in this song. Not that it sounds exactly like a Loona song but it has all these little moments where I can hear it. Probably because its a jaden jeong + monotree joint. Anyway it's a really good song and the chorus hits hard.

8. Perfume by NCT Dojaejung - My sister described this as a strut song which is so accurate. This song makes you feel like THAT BITCH. It's super smooth and sexy and really really good. Interesting vibe from NCT (That being said l'm a sticker defender so believe me I have nothing against the NCT sound)

7. Air Force One by Odd Eye Circle - The return of oec fully rocked my world. I was ranting and raving about the loonaverse implications of this song / mv / mini album for days. It's also just a really cool song! Daradaradadada~

6. Giddy by Kep1er - my babies!! Their best title track since Wadada. Also the dance is adorable. I immediately taught myself the chorus choreo. I'm incredibly biased towards these girls so I was tempted to put this higher but I held myself back.

5. Zero by New Jeans - Now I know what you're thinking, "Why tf is that your new jeans entry?" and "That's literally a coca cola ad. What's wrong with you?" This is my list though and Zero was legitimately my top kpop song on my spotify wrapped. I listened to it an ungodly number of times. It has like a weird hypnotic effect on me so I listen to it while I study.

4. Kick It 4 Now by The New Six - My top boy group jam of the year. Again shout out to my bg stan sister to putting me onto this. She truly keeps me in the loop in that regard. Pure happiness in a song it's SOOO FUN!

3. Queencard by (G)I-dle - Must every song be deep? Can't we all just have a silly girly time? My boob and booty hot!! In all seriousness though I think Jeon Soyeon is a genius. Ya'll might think her lyrics are weird but you just don't understand her like me. This is the song on this list that I think will have the most lasting impact. We'll all be looking back fondly on Queencard.

2. Underwater by Chuu - Underwater feels like a breath of fresh air to listen to. This song is so comforting; Chuu's voice is like a hug. It for real makes me emotional. It's so Taeyeon coded which is an incredibly good thing in my book.

1. Unforgiven by Lesserafim - This was my anthem of the year no question. I don't know if Lesserafim will ever be able to top this. It's just flawless. Potentially my favorite kpop album of the year all together too. Idec that half of it is songs we've already heard. I love having greatest hits in one place and Lesserafim's greatest hits are really good!

anna gets really into idol groups (girl groups specifically) and is trying to learn the choreography to a song but the song is for a group of four and she doesnt have anybody else to dance with her (imagine her trying to ask the homra guys and one after the other refuses her each with a worse excuse than the other) kamamoto is the only one who willingly accepts, while yata and saruhiko get dragged along somehow.

The four are doing a very girly choreo but ana is having fun and that's all that matters (to yata and kamamoto, at least) at some point even saruhiko has a small smile on his face, even tho he isnt really dancing but more like standing and sometimes squatting down to match the others, they are all just laughing and playing around until the door bursts open and mikoto walks in and just stares at the boys while a long awkward silence lasts for a couple of seconds before anna walks to the door and closes it telling mikoto he cant see the dance yet !! they will be showing the whole clan when they are ready !! (and the three are just frozen in their place with a blank expression like: say what?)

Okay but could the other Homra guys really even refuse, who could say no to Anna XD I’m assuming this is pre-betrayal, maybe it’s like shortly after Anna joins the clan. She’s fitting in well but she’s still a little shy and everyone’s really encouraging her to be herself. One day Kamamoto, Yata, and Fushimi walk into the bar as she’s there alone listening to the radio while Kusanagi is working in the back. The group on the radio is singing some girl band school idol-type song and Anna is dancing to it, trying her best to do the choreography that she’s seen before in videos but she’s stumbling a bit. The song ends and Kamamoto claps, so impressed, Anna gives this surprised little gasp because she didn’t realize anyone saw her. She’s all embarrassed and Yata quickly tries to tell her not to be, like no you looked really cool there, I bet everyone would like to see you dance. Kamamoto agrees, he and Yata just being super encouraging as Anna shyly admits that she likes this group and always wanted to dance that way. Yata says they’ll even help her, probably thinking he can like help teaching the choreography, and then Anna’s eyes shine a little as she asks if he’ll be in her ‘group.’ Yata’s all ‘huh?’ but Kamamoto says yes, trying to be helpful, and Anna gets noticeably excited (Fushimi tries to subtly leave the bar and Yata just grabs him by the arm like don’t you even dare).

Some time later the three of them are with Anna in her room, Fushimi’s set up a PDA where they can watch videos and Anna’s trying to get them to help mimic her favorite dances. Fushimi is initially resistant but then Yata starts teasing him like sorry you suck at this so much unlike me, this unlocks Fushimi’s competitive side so now of course he isn’t going to lose to stupid Misaki. Kamamoto is somehow managing to float around like a ballet dancer even though he’s in his winter form. None of them are perfect but Anna’s becoming more relaxed and happy the more they practice, feeling less self conscious and like she’s allowed to have fun and laugh. Her good mood is spreading to everyone else too, even Fushimi can’t be completely dour as they keep messing up the dance and Yata’s adding steps and it’s just a good time.

They all manage a coordinated spin and point at the sky when suddenly there’s the sound of clapping. Yata, Fushimi and Kamamoto all pale a little as they turn to see Mikoto and Totsuka standing in the doorway. Yata tries a mortified ‘M-Mikoto-san…how long…’ as Anna runs happily up to him. She tells him they’re practicing and Mikoto nods like ‘hmm,’ totally expressionless as he pats her head before she tells him he can’t watch the rest until they perform for the whole clan. The other three are quietly processing that ‘wait, whole clan?’ as Mikoto nods and takes his leave, as they’re walking out Totsuka adds that he’ll bring his camera so they can get “the whole performance” on tape. Yata’s all pale as he asks Anna if they’re gonna do this in front of the whole clan and she just looks back at him innocently all “yes, the whole clan.”

I listened to the remixes today! Most of them were fine, it was nice listening to them but nothing extra. (I feel like I sound like a hater sorry😭) I really liked the acoustic version though! His voice paired with the guitar sounded sooo good 🥹 I don't know why they chose to process his voice so much in the original song since he sounds great without it too, hence the acoustic version. I'm relieved that I finally like it because while I was okay with not liking this album as much as I did FACE, it made me sad that I didn't like it but now I have the acoustic version. 🫂

I watched the Fallon performance too and I loved it! I guess it would be a live version since I can't really compare it to any of the remixes and it definitely sound better (to me) than the original one. It was amazing! The dance was fantastic, I liked the fixed-but-not-really camera positions they did, he sounded amazing and his dancers were great too! I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way but I love it when you can hear them breathe while they sing live. Idk why but it just makes the performance realer to me? So when are we getting this version? :D

I've been listening to the album on and off since it came out and I definitely like it a bit better since Friday. Rebirth grew on me a lot! I'm still a bit neutral about Slow Dance. Well, I would say FACE will still be my no1 Jimin album (for now), but I do like MUSE better after a few days. it’s sweet that you keep coming back to the album even though you don’t have to. sometimes you really have to sit with something for a bit you know, let it marinate. and sometimes the time is also just not the best and you have to come back to it when you’re in the right mindset for it (indigo is my example for this). but again, it’s also alright that it probably won’t be your favourite for good. according to the bts and jimin songs you mentioned you loved, the tracks on MUSE are really just not your type (see, I’m more of an upbeat girlie, Alone is one of my least favourites from jimin so far haha). as you said, FACE and all those other songs will never not be there for you so it’s all good! and lastly I wanna say I really appreciate your attitude and the way you went around expressing your criticism, I also wish there would me more fans that’d be able to do it that way 🤍

Also just want to say before I start that I love the animation style of all of these shows, they’re all so beautifully done! (Didn’t want to say that for each review lol)

10. Maid Sama

Up first we have Maid Sama. This anime is a good enemies to lovers (for one side at least) story that has lots of humor as well as good characters. The ending did remind me of a typical rom com where it felt kind of abrupt but overall the show was very good. Usui and Misaki’s relationship is 👌🏽. I’d give it a 7/10.

9. Yuri on Ice

This was the first anime I ever watched. I had just started watching figure skating after the 2018 olympics (if you know you know) so I thought this show would also be a good one to watch. The end credit choreo is also based on a routine done by my fave ice dancers (Virtue/Moir pls come back)! I don’t remember much about this anime since it’s been a while since I watched it, but the storyline was really good and progressed well and the characters were also cool. Viktor and Yuri were also very soft 🥺. I’d give it a 9/10!

8. Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun

This anime is so cute! All of the characters are super cool and the show pushes the boundaries of gender stereotypes. ⚠️ Spoiler ⚠️ while the main couple don’t actually end up together, the overall story is very cute, humorous and definitely worth watching. The only downside of this show is that it’s so short! (12 episodes) I’d give it a 9/10!

7. Cells at Work

This show is such an interesting concept! It basically teaches you about the different processes your body goes through by telling a story. It mainly focuses on red and white blood cell and features many other different organisms in your body that help fight off various diseases or illnesses throughout the series. The platelets in particular are so adorable! The show has 2 seasons (as well as a spinoff with different characters that I haven’t watched yet) so there’s plenty of learning to be had! I’d give it an 8/10.

6. Orange

This fucking show omg! This show made me bawl during the finale! This show features 5 friends who meet Kakeru and befriend him. Throughout the series, Kakeru and Naho develop their relationship and secrets are revealed. The show does feature a dark theme, but it’s so good! At times Naho did annoy me with some of the things she did, but otherwise I thought the show was great! Suwa must be protected at all costs and Hagita is the MVP. I’d give the show a 9/10!

5. Given

This show is such a good example of LGBT love! It tells the story of Mafuyu who wants to learn guitar and three bandmates who invite him into their band. All of the characters in this show are great and the story is so good! I also like that it has a movie and an ova (that takes place at the same time as the movie) so there’s plenty of content to watch! I’d give it a 10/10!

4. Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku

This show is so cute! This one is different from a lot of the typical anime romances, it actually features adults with jobs! The four main characters have a super cute dynamic and their interactions are very funny. The two main ships are very cute, but I do prefer Kabakura and Hanako over Narumi and Hirotaka. They have an rivals to lovers story and it’s one of my favorite tropes so of course I prefer them! Narumi and Hirotaka are still adorable in their own way as well as Kou and Naoya (the other couple). This show also has 3 ovas (one of which came out a few months ago) that are super cute and definitely worth watching when you finish the main show! I’d give it a 10/10 with the only downside being that it’s too short (13 episodes)!

3. Kamisama Kiss

This is the most recent anime that I watched. It tells the story of Nanami Momozono and how she became a land god. It also features her familiar Tomoe as the main love interest. This show had a really good pace and was very funny at times. I also liked all of the side characters and the fact that show has 2 seasons. I would definitely recommend watching all of the ovas. There’s 2 after the first season and 5 after the second. The ones in the first season provide context for the beginning of the second, and the last 5 ovas complete the story of these wonderful characters! I’d rate this show a 10/10

2. Toradora

This was the second anime I watched after Yuri on Ice. It’s such a good show! I love the characters and the way that Taiga and Ryuji’s relationship develops throughout the series. Since enemies/rivals to lovers is my fave trope, those two characters are one of my fave ships period. This show made me laugh and cry and is definitely one of my comfort shows! The ending was good but I wish there had been more after it, but I was still satisfied! If you do watch the show don’t forget to watch past the credits on the final episode! I’d give it a 9/10!

This show omg! This show gave me all of the feels! I can’t describe how much I love this show. The characters are so well done and I love that they don’t beat around the bush and tell it like it is. The relationship between Hori and Miyamura is so special. I relate to Miyamura so much and definitely need someone like Hori in my life. Also that one episode is extremely funny (if you know you know). The rest of the characters are also loveable and the whole cast together is amazing! This show made me laugh, cry and feel about every emotion there is! I’d definitely give it a 10/10

taehee, although very shy, was quick to get close with the two new members ,,, especially shotaro !!!! he’s very close to becoming her jisung pt. 2, he’s got her wrapped around his finger.

(un cut | take #4 resonance pt. 1) “shotaro!!!! have you just finished your shoot?,” taehee asks, a dimpled smile on her face as she does so. “yes, i just finished,” the younger one laughs softly.

taehee calls him ‘taro-chan’ with her iconic eye smile and the dimples on her cheeks.

(un cut | take #1 resonance pt. 1) “what do you think of the new members?,” the producer asked. “oh they’re so cute,” taehee pouts, “super cute. sungchan is so tall and handsome and shotaro is so cute and he dances really well. i adore him.”

taehee praises him all the chance she gets to reassure him, and helps him with his korean and she makes sure he also gets to speak.

she also knows a few tiktok dances here and there so she asks shotaro to teach her a few more (may or may not have filmed one or two tiktoks with him).

iconic moment (nct world 2.0 ep. 5) “i might be full already,” taehee hangs her head low as she mumbles. she was already nine plates in but each of them had to eat twenty-three plates of sushi to complete the challenge. so far, she has the highest number of plates after haechan who has ten. she decides to stretch and walk for a bit just like haechan had suggested, before sitting back down and counting each of the member’s plates.

“is it good?,” she asks shotaro while mindlessly getting another plate. the latter nods, taehee melting at the sight of his adorable eye smile, “it’s delicious.”

her smile quickly falters as she looks down at whatever plate she grabbed. something in her stirs as she groans over three long rolls of makizushi, waiting to be eaten as she thinks over her decisions in the past minutes, “this looks so good but i’m feeling so full.”

shotaro giggles when he hears this and raises his fist saying, “noona, fighting!”

and for some reason, taehee’s apetite had gone up again as she finishes her current plate. she then grabs one, two, three more plates of sushi and is now going for her seventeenth plate. realizing this, she can’t help but smile at the younger japanese boy who had encouraged her earlier. “woah, taro-chan you should cheer for me more. we’re gonna be out of here in no time.”

shotaro laughs once again, “you’re doing so well, noona. fighting!”

taehee turns to her other side, covering her face as she fake cries into haechan’s shoulder. “he’s so cute!”

taehee makes it a point to show up and hype up sungchan from the sidelines as he shoots his scenes as a form of encouragement.

(90’s love mv reaction) “SUNGCHAN!!!!! YOU’RE DOING SO WELL!!!!!”

she’d also accompany him around set and get to know him more so he won’t feel lonely when waiting for the others to finish up.

sungchan is a Giant and taehee is used to patting her dongsaengs on the head but ,,, for sungchan she just pats his shoulder instead.

when they hug, sungchan has to bend down to reach her (out of respect and so that taehee could just really pat his head lol) and fans find it super endearing. 

(n’-151) “okay so, out of all the members,” haechan says to sungchan, “who has been the nicest and most helpful to you. you really have to think about it.” sungchan puts his arm around haechan’s shoulder, making the latter think it was going to be him, until he says, “taehee noona.”

sungchan actually isn’t afraid to ask taehee help in something, be it rap, gestures, or choreo. taehee’s glad to at least feel that he’s comfortable with her.

taehee tells sungchan not to be fooled by haechan, he should trust her more (which is followed by strings of protests coming from said member).

iconic moment (uncut take #8 | ‘90’s love’ mv behind) “right now, we’re filming a music video,” sungchan begins, holding the camera a little lower to fit both him and taehee in the frame. “yes. why’d you bring the camera lower?,” he chuckles at her teasing.

but he continues, “please tell me how i should look cool while filming,” and taehee proceeds to think over the words that could help him. “mmm, confidence is a given,” sungchan nods, “don’t hesitate ‘cause then that would look awkward.”

“don’t even like... think of the result too much. just be in the moment. feel the vibe of the song,” taehee finishes, nodding as the younger took in her words. “and don’t be too nervous,” she adds, “if something looks off, the staff would tell you. we would help you, you’re doing great so far anyways,” she pats his shoulder, “if you feel like doing something you’ve seen before, you can do it.”

taehee smiles as sungchan continues to process her words, he’s such a good dongsaeng. “is there any like, facial expression you want to try out?”

“i want to look artistic,” he smiles, “you’re good at that.”

taehee shies away at the compliment, her dimples poking from her cheeks, and sungchan’s smile widens at seeing this side of her. “um,” she clears her throat, a faint smile on her lips, “you can have your chin up like this. then ‘street ijen geunyang classic’, sungchan pays attention as she copies his part of the choreo. her fierce look dropping to a smug smirk when she says, “‘blow that.’ you can change expressions at that part.”

taehee watches as sungchan tries what she had just demonstrated, a proud smile showing itself when he was able to do so while adding his own flare to it.

“that’s great! you did great. i think the fans would like it too if you winked. can you wink?”

“i’ll try,” he chuckles, quite proud at himself at what he just did. “고마워, noona.”

“no problem! you can ask ten hyung too, he can have more ideas,” taehee suggests as she looks around for ten, “or haechan. remember, don’t-“

“fall for his charms,” they say together, the maknae chuckling at his older members’ antics. “you learn so well, sungchanie! good job!”
