Throughout my childhood, there have been numerous signs that Hermes wished to work with me, but I was completely unaware. I thought about adding wings to my shoes, wore the caduceus as a necklace, and felt a constant urge to write more and express myself freely. Communicating effectively, sharing my feelings, and jotting down my emotions became important to me.

He always made me think of him—his presence, his words, his thoughts. He made the effort. I felt a strong connection to trickster archetypes and chthonic deities. While traveling, Hermes was constantly on my mind. So many tell-tale signs and clear indications. I viewed him as the healer, the messenger, the scholar, the guider of souls, the multifaceted one, and the protector.

Of course, I wouldn't say Hermes was the only one reaching out, but he was certainly one of the main ones.

in case you are in the mood to feel devastated here’s an alternate way of viewing charles’ response to edwin’s confession:

we know that charles kinda puts edwin on a pedestal- yes they are partners but there is a bit of a hierarchy between them. charles just looks up to and admires edwin in so many ways while constantly looking down on and being really hard on himself. he puts on his big happy persona because he thinks that people wouldn’t like him if they actually got to know him.

so when edwin confesses, it’s like a blow to him. he took his charming persona too far and went and tricked the most important person in the world into thinking he was worthy of love. and it’s worse because he does love edwin in that way, which is exactly why he can’t let him know that. charles still believes that he is like his dad, and he saw exactly what his parents’ relationship did to his mother.

he thinks that loving edwin in the way that he wants to would only cause more pain to this boy who has already been through far more than he deserves. so he blinks back his tears, attempts the same charming smile he’s used all these years, and dishes out the gentlest non-rejection in the history of forever

like man just the layers of internalized homophobia w john and paul are soooo crazy and depressing. bc it's literally just that like. paul knew he was in love, he knew he was jealous, and he knew he wanted to throw a fit about it. but he didn't feel he'd earned any of that, no matter how serious their relationship was, bc he was A Man and a relationship between two men could never hold the same weight as a relationship between a man and a woman. like john continually later referred to paul like an ex spouse/ex partner in life & they both saw each other that way but it just. wasn't allowed to be Real. no matter how real it was. and it also makes me think about that interview a few years ago where the interviewer referred to john as the love of paul's life and paul sputtered a "but the women!"

I don’t know how to explain any more clearly that it doesn’t MATTER if it seems legitimate to you. You have got to fact check every single headline and post and claim on the left just like you need to do on the right.

The left is NOT immune to misinformation and rushed reporting. And the more emotionally polarizing or shocking the talking points, sound bytes, and headlines are, the worse it is and more frequently it happens.

Learn to verify through multiple independent sources. If you can’t do that, you can’t trust it.

If you have to wait extra hours for the real information to come through vetted channels—NOT just one individual somewhere everyone links to, and not just one single media source either, EVEN if it’s a major news network—thats just how it has to be. What news outside of genuine local disasters near you TRULY needs your outrage and post-sharing in the next hour specifically?

Misinformation works best by not seeming like misinformation and by fitting in with the rest of what you already expect to see. It doesn’t help anyone to not be able to recognize and avoid the stuff.
