#p#i need to be up in six hours 😭😭#i had an awful exhausting evening#my hamster that i had before moving passed away#the car i bought not even two years ago is totaled and unfixable#i lost one of the gigs i thought i had secured for the school year#it is pms hell week for me and i keep swinging wildly between utter fully body rage and complete overwhelming despair and anxiety#i want to cry but ive done enough crying tonight thank you!!!!#please let tomorrow be kinder i desperately need it#please let the jobs ive emailed tonight email me back#and let the pay be good#i also have sooooo much to do before next tuesday oh my god#i need to prep for our session on saturday#finish lesson planning for the summer camp#finish character creation#grocery shop#quick clean of the house bcuz lord knows i wont be doing it while at the camp#i still havent received a v important piece of mail#figure out how to pay my taxes and insurance#prep for the meeting i have monday morning re new school year including some brain storming#reviewing the pacing calendar and handbook and looking at the google drive again#and im being social this entire weekend agh#plus look for jobs i guess??? bcuz money is needed#and theres family drama 🙃#ugh i should probably not be posting this on main#perhaps i will delete later ugh#life is just hard atm it will get better it always does#and i will not lose my rental nor will i be unable to pay my taxes and bills#it will be FINE#because i will make it fine

I had a wonderful time yesterday ^^ Ahhh, nihari sounds soooo good rn… my family typically makes it once during Ramadan, but alas, there wasn’t any then nor at the party… InshaAllah, next year (and, well, sometime soon, too, because please).
Still a great time, though, ofc, ofc, haha (I managed to get the cards done! …At the expense of getting to the party an hour late, oops, but was worth it, haha). It’s funny, though—it was such an effort keeping awake at night this Ramadan, but the day it’s over, I get around an hour of sleep (in batches), and I didn’t feel tired in the least bit during the party/afterwards. Like, I’m usually pretty introverted even when it comes to just family get-togethers, but I wasn’t at all tired of social interaction when I left (though, we did play several rounds of an argument-based board game just before I left, and I do love me my debates, haha. Have late night discussions for a reason—energizes me right up). My arms and back did, however, end up somehow feeling pretty sore that night and this morning (which I do wonder if that’s where the lack of sleep contributed?).
But, yeah, had a good time this Eid, Alhamdulillah ^^ Hope you do/did, too <3
#asks#y’know as a kid when i found out one eid that my relatives in pakistan were gonna celebrate it after us#i somehow came to the conclusion that while the americas are behind overseas in the solar calendar#they’re ahead in the lunar calendar#and tbh it wasn’t until a few years ago that i realized nah#different countries might just sight the new crescent at different times#~18 years of thinking like this i knowwww 💀#on another note:#it sounds blasphemous i know but i’m not the biggest fan of biryani#can you tell i’m a picky eater? haha#i think it might be because it and similar foods are too dry? for me?#like when i eat shorba chawal i like to—how i dub it—flood my rice#on occasion you might not even see the rice#(and like i prefer eating with ‘plain’ white rice in general haha)#i do love the chicken right before you combine it with rice though—that’s delicious right there 👌#and while i used to adore gulab jamun as a kid i’ve only ever been fond of a few desi desserts#gulab jamun now removed from that list 😔#haha but i do hope you enjoyed all that and more!!

#the great artscapade of 2023#art#my art#Forspoken#Forspoken fan art#Forspoken fan cloak#man I was updating my calendar at work with Things Happening in December and I realized#this is my last Absolutely Normal™ week for awhile#and since I had to take Monday off to deal with my landlord it wasn't even normal! just scheduled for it#next week I have a concert and then I took the two days after it off just in case I catch the rona from it#because 2023 has been VERY RUDE to me so far and I don't trust it 😒#then the week after that is American Turkey Day (Thanksgiving)#then the week after THAT is the follow up inspection on my house from the city#and then we're in December and the only craiziness happening there is I get a bonus check on the first and then Christmas happens lol#we're so close to 2024#and on the one hand thank GOD get me out of this hell year#but on the other hand 2023 gave me Forspoken and all my lovely new friends#and I won't trade Forspoken or the rest of y'all for the world#but gosh dang it#I just want 2024 to be nice to me please 🥺#and be nice to everyone else please 🥺

#it was my birthday yesterday#and it was not very nice lol#hardly anyone remembered and said anything#first time in my life not getting a card from my uncle too#my mother also didn't bother to send or leave me a card which... well okay i guess#she has everyone's birthday in her calendar apart from mine and her own (she detests her birthday)#my dad didn't get me anything either but he did buy some food to bbq and spend a few hours with me so that's okay#then i was just gonna chill on my own at home with the cats but my ex fucked that up ofc#then got mad at me for being upset and crying#so yeah yet to have a birthday where i don't end up in tears :')#i hate this so much i want a do-over#i cherish the things i did get i need to see if i can print one of them so i can gaze lovingly at it#but ugh when a server i've been in for over 10 years doesn't even remember... hurts kinda#i don't feel worth much to anyone at all#rhubarb crumbles#i have not been okay lately (well for a while) lol#i also wish i knew what was going on with my uncle#it's been a good few days and my dad hasn't heard anything back#no one's got in touch with him with news either#but my dad said he sounded really bad and - for the first time ever - scared#i don't like not knowing#anyway gonna curl up bc i'm cold and haven't got anything to eat so it's all fun and games#might watch more terror i was doing an armitage watch#which is just watching all the episodes he's in

Fun thing about cleaning my room is I’ll find something I was using like a week ago buried deep under my bed in a pile of old receipts and candy wrappers and then also find something I haven’t seen in MONTHS like right there sitting exposed on the floor
#don’t understand this#Im so close to getting this room the most organized that it’s been since I moved in a year ago#but i gotta clean the junk out from underneath my bed and somehow that’s worse than everything else I’ve done#all motivation i had last week as disappeared this week#but i got a new shelf set up to put stuff that was laying around the floor on#i got my books all neatly lined up on the bookshelf I’ve had for months but had only put random junk on instead#got my earrings all sorted and put away except the ones missing their twin#which are set aside until they are matched#finally hung up my whiteboard calendar and got the dates down#not that I have anything going on I really need a calendar for lmao#but It’s magnetic so i departed it with some magnets and now I actually have some decoration in here aside from my eras poster#all my clothes are organized and anything I don’t wear is put in bins for me to shove against the wall#until they can hopefully one day be put in storage#for me to have when I hopefully one day move out and actually have use for party clothes#after a whole year of being in this room it actually feels lived in rather than just a storage room with a futon#It’s still half a storage room but it’s also now half me#unfortunately my shelf is cheap and the hooks can’t bare the weight of my jackets even with gorilla tape#so this weekend I gotta try to figure out what to do about that#need something stronger to support the weight#or maybe just more gorilla tape lol#anyways not that anyone is reading this but it is 3am and I can’t sleep so I decided to clean#but i think I’m just gonna read#or maybe play the sims#or maybe continúe to sit ln the floor mindlessly scrolling through tumblr

Do you have any bishonen recommendations? I've really enjoyed Patalliro, and that's about the extent of my exploration of the genre, but I'm interested to learn more and try out some new things. Thank you!!
Honestly, it's a little hard to give recommendations based off Patalliro lol, just because it's very much its own creature within manga (in my opinion). In terms of recommending series that include bishonen as characters, the options are pretty much unlimited, so it just depends on what you personally like! In terms of showa-era manga that include them though, I honestly am a slow reader so I haven't explored many other series yet. I've been having a blast reading From Eroica With Love though, so I definitely recommend it!
