not confident on how “canon” or in-character this is but- I HAD FUN this AU has really got me in the rendering spirit, I really enjoy taking inspiration but also adding mu own silly twists on it and AAA everything looks even more tasty now

also i never poster about this- but i had another forgettable dream. it didn’t make any godamn sense. I woke up and drew the only scene I could remember:

Wingdings and Sans had a fight and ig wingdings killed Sans 😭😭😭 in a stairwell for some reason

and current Sans, Papyrus brother Sans, is like watching all of this and was brought here by Lancer like a Ghost Of Christmas Past type situation. Idk why. I choose not to attempt to make sense of this anymore. But i swear this is an actual dream i had 😭

does every1 know about how every font in Pentiment was custom-made for the game and different characters speak in different fonts depending on their standing in society. theres no voice acting but theres a pen-scratching sound that accompanies dialogue. peasants/townsfolk speak in a handwritten script. the monks all speak in intricate blackletter script. the town printmaker's dialogue has its own font and makes a clunking sound like wood blocks or a printing press. Sometimes someones font will change mid dialogue as you learn about them and their life. the dialogue writes itself out and looks like wet ink for a second before setting into dry. there are even intentional imperfections. sometimes there will be typos that sit there for a sec before being scratched out and corrected. the ink visibly bleeds a little bit where the correction was made. did you know this

...I realized I never really said this 😅, and just assumed folks would see it in the pdfs, but it might be helpful to let people know I include colophons at the end of almost all [edit: uh, actually, just most of my recent files have the colophons. Something for me to add in the futre lol] the books I post on here. By definition, a colophon is 'an inscription at the end of a book or manuscript usually with facts about its production' (Merriam-Webster).

My colophons list the details of that typeset, such as what page size/dimensions it was made for and what fonts were used. Below is the one in the back of Ivanhoe:
