Talked to doctor. Doctor was surprised I'd had a reaction to the pills at such a low dosage (they'd been thinking that it would need to be at least 3x what I started with to do much).
But normally you take as much as you can before the side-effects become too much for you. And constant headaches and a sore throat is absolutely signs that I'm already getting those side-effects.
So now I don't have to take those pills anymore. Yay!
She reiterated that my old pills give me "no noticeable" side-effects, because that's what they do. As in, they don't give any side-effects, until you find yourself at the ER in need of organ-transplant.
Which... alright, fair.
(Though problems "fifteen years from now" is... casually optimistic of my likely survival-rate considering my apparent weakness to stress and statistical likelihood for loneliness-related suicide. But if she wants to be optimistic about it, I figure I should at least play along.)
In vaguely related news, my hammock arrived two nights ago.
First night was a bit awkward (sleeping in a hammock is different), but I woke up in the morning and didn't hurt (excepting my neck), so that's... pretty fucking incredible, not going to lie.
Second night was going to be great, because this time I cleverly brought a thinner pillow so that my neck would hurt less-... Except after two hours of trying and failing to fall asleep, I finally gave up and crawled into my bed instead.
(Because it felt like I was burning up, and my knees were complaining that they felt like I was trying to bend them backwards, because of the way that the hammock curves upwards, despite the extra pillow I found for them. And my neck was also doing the "forward dip"-thing that it does when you fall asleep sitting up, so the thinner pillow wasn't enough anyway, and-...)
Anyway, my body had opinions about sleeping in a bed this morning. So at least I know that I'll have to be consistent about hammock-sleeping if I want results.
Fun anecdote is that despite my side-and-ribs hurting all morning, I did some of those old "sideways plank"-exercises from way back when and... now only my side aches a little. No weird muscle-spasms or anything. So that might be a solution. Hopefully.
#allow me to reiterate about the suicide-thing. a statistical likelihood is ''other folks in my situation often do this''#not ''i'm considering my options'' (even if it'd be a bit funny to screw over my student-debt by dying before it can be paid back)#i'm too asocial to be comfortable going out to meet people. too irresponsible to own a pet. and with no real desire for a sex-life.#so the ''loneliness epidemic'' is statistically likely to hit ''people like me'' very hard. even if i... feel fine? mostly?#(plz mr capitalism give me a non-stressful job so that i never have to think about my bank-account ever again)#also also. fun fact. i usually have nightmares like 1-2/year. and i've had like 3 of them since i started with those pills#and whilst ''nightmares'' do show up in the side-effects. it's written more as ''anxiety-inducing -> possibly to the point of nightmares''#so... don't think it's entirely the fault of the pills. probably. maybe. but it's definitely suspicious.#personal stuff#rants

De-aged Danny shenanigans with an adult Damian taking after his father.
Danny, about 6: *drigging through the trash*
Damian, 26: Hello? Are you alright?
Danny, whips around to look at him with glowing green eyes: hissssss
Damian, blinks: Oh, dear....Are you hungry?
Danny, suspicious:... yeth
Damian, nods: If you come with me, we can either go to a batburger down the street or my apartment a block over. I have a washer and dryer I can run your clothes through while you bathe.
Danny: Are you trying to kidnap me?
Damian: If I was, I'd be a fool to say so
Danny: mm twue...why else would you want to help me though?
Damian: one. It would be irresponsible of me to level a toddler alone, in an alley, in Gotham.
Danny, pouting: I'm not a toddler
Damian: Two. I will never hear the end of it from my siblings whether or not I help you, but it'd be more teasing than lecturing if I do help you.
Danny: Why would they do dat?
Damian: If you don't have any place to go, I might just tell you. But only if I can make sure you don't tell the wrong person.
Danny: I'm good wif secrets!
Damian, amused: We shall see. And now third and final reason. Are you aware your eyes are glowing green?
Danny, gasps and slams his eyes shut: You're not supposed to see!
Damian, softly: It's okay. I understand what that means. One of my elder brothers' eyes glow the same way. It must have been very scary for you to die
Danny, sniffling: It was... does his eyes weally glow green?
Damian: They do. His usually glow when he gets angry, is it the same with you?
Danny, now blinking blue glowing eyes at Damian: mmm? No? Green is too much bad emotion
Damian: Bad emotion?
Danny: Mad, um, strezz? No, the bigger one!
Damian: Panic or anxiety?
Danny, points at him with a bounce: Yeah!!
Damian, amused and concerned: I see
Danny: mmm let's see, um, and scared?
Damian: Interesting. Jason's eyes are usually an indicator of angry, but I know he likes to cover his fear and concern with that same anger. I shall look into it. On that note. And what does glowing blue mean?
Danny, blinks: Blue?
Damian: Yes. Did you know your eyes are glowing blue now?
Danny, shocked: No! They didn't do that before!... At least I don't think they did?
Damian: Well, they're a very pretty shade of blue.
Danny: Maybe... Maybe that's how my parents noticed...
Damian, trying not to frown: What did your parents notice?
Danny, turning his big teary eyes on Damian: That I'm not fully human anymore. They didn't notice. They never noticed!
Damian, slowly reaching out to the kid to see if he'd accept a hug: Sounds like your parents didn't deserve you.
Danny, giving into his childish instincts and flinging himself into Damian's arms to sob his little heart out: They didn't even know I died! It's not fair! I'm not weally human and it's their fault! I hate their stupid po-po- THING! It shocked me and it hurt and now I'm dead and it's their fault!
Damian: *gently rocking Danny til he tires himself out*
Danny, sniffling: It's not fair...
Damian: Something I've found is, it never is. Every stray my father has housed has had an unbearably harsh life, and I, being his blood son, was no different. My mother and her father raised me for the first ten years of my life, and I've come to understand that my childhood was not a good one. It took me a long time and a lot of patience from my eldest brother to come to realize what I was missing.
Danny: Like, Jazzy?
Damian: mm? Who's Jazzy?
Danny: My big sister. She's a big know it all, but she tries...
Damian: Well, that's-
Danny, jolts in Damian's hold: Tried! *GASP* Jazzy doesn't know mom and dad didn't kill me!! *pause* um, kill me again?
Damian: Well, we'll have to tell her, won't we? You wouldn't happen to know her full name? I can ask my family to contact her while we get you cleaned up
Danny: Yeah! Her name is Jasmine Fenton! She goes to a big big school here! That's why I came here! I just... I got lost..
Damian: That won't do
Damian, pulls out his phone and calls Barbara while starting to walk to his apartment: Gordon. I have a request.
Barbara: Yeah? Whatcha got, baby bat?
Damian: Can you look up a Jasmine Fenton? I have something she will probably want back.
Barbara: Holy shit! Is that a child??
Damian, sighs: Yes, it's her little brother. He ran away from a bad situation with his parents and got lost trying to find his elder sister.
Barbara: Alright. I'll check out her entire life to make sure she's safe to- wait. Damian, is that kid's name Danny?
Damian, realizing he never asked: One moment.
Damian, looks down at a sleepy, but curious Danny: Is your name Danny?
Danny, beams: Yeah!!
Barbara: Caught that, but, uh, Damian, Danny is supposed to be 20, not...4? 5? Not a tiny child
Damian: umm... Danny did you used to be older?
Danny, shrinks into himself and his eyes turn green: Ye-yeah... I don't know why I'm little... mommy did something and it Huuurt and hurt til suddenly I was free and I ran and hid in a bus
Damian, soothingly petting his back: Okay, it's okay, we'll figure it out.
Barbara: Take care of him for the night, we'll contact his sister tomorrow at a reasonable time. I'm not finding anything too concerning on her yet so she's probably safe
Damian: Copy that. Goodnight, Gordon.
Barbara, teasing: Goodnight, mini-Bruce!
Damian, flushes, but doesn't deny it before hanging up and glancing towards Danny: That was Barbara Gordon. A family friend. She'll help us find your sister, but you'll be staying with me for tonight.
Danny, sleepy: Okay..
Damian, slipping into his apartment lobby and going straight up the stairs, ignoring the gaping attendants: Don't fall asleep just yet. You will be fed and bathed first
Danny, huffs, but straightens up: What food?
Damian: That depends, I only really have vegetarian food so I suppose we'll have to find something you'll eat
Danny: Sam is vegetarian! I eat vegetarian sometimes with her!
Damian: hm? Very good, then it should be easier for me to feed you
Damian and Danny have a wonderful time. Danny is fed, watered, and cleaned up before being set up with a quiet sound machine to sleep. Damian has a crisis over wanting to keep Danny and suddenly understands his father's adoption habit. He sets alarms to check on Danny throughout the night, but it's otherwise uneventful.

Read a review of an apparently mediocre transmasc reimagining of Pride and Prejudice that made the fair point of 'if there were no social penalties, why wouldn't Mrs Bennet be delighted to suddenly have a son, since he can now inherit and all is saved?'
And then I started thinking. So here's how I'd do it. The Bennets, with their surfeit of daughters, did in fact think through 'it'd be great if one of these girls... wasn't.' It's just that instead of this happening when the girls are grown by the choice of one of the kids, they made their decision with four daughters down that the next child would be a boy by hook or by crook.
Hence: Lawrence Bennet, the youngest.
The problem is that Lawrence Bennet is, well, Lydia. He's just as susceptible to Wickham's charms, and Wickham leading him into irresponsible ways is a danger to the inheritance he was chosen to protect, and Wickham could find out The Secret easily if they get too close. Lawrence also getting gender dysphoria, because he would probably have been happier as Lydia. The other problem is 'his' oldest siblings understand the situation, and - since we're sticking to the premise of 'this is P&P with a transmasc Lizzy' - one of them is seething with jealousy that she wasn't picked, and knows she would have been better at the job of 'only son' than 'Lawrence.'
Haven't got much further than that because it's very hard to keep the plot on the rails once you've introduced such a momentous, confounding secret and induced the elder Bennets to think their problem is solved, but there you go. Have this free bit of thinking.
#i also am no expert in regency social dynamics but it sounds like that author wasn't either#so shrug

Insane to me how Eda must've said yes to Luz asking to stay with her at the Owl house, because she could relate. Because at her exact same age, Eda also struggled with a mother who meant well, but was ultimately doing something that hurt her out of misguided intentions. And because she felt betrayed and didn't want to go along with that plan, Eda also ended up running into the woods outside her home, only to stumble across the portal in the ruins of a Clawthorne ancestor’s home, and go through it despite what her mother had planned. And in doing so, she found independence and began her journey into discovering herself.
So no wonder Eda let Luz do the same. Even if she didn't know her whole story yet, Eda must've picked up on a couple details with Luz deeply resonating with her "Us weirdoes gotta stick together" motto, as well as encouraging the Conformatorium prisoners that nobody should be punished for who they are. The way Luz said that, Eda must've realized she was projecting/relating to them hard. So Eda saw all she needed to, and that's why she let Luz stay.
Her telling Luz to go back to her "real" family in the season 1 finale hurts even more because of this, because I wonder if Eda missed her mother at the moment too. So she wanted Luz to have a good relationship with her mother that she couldn't have. She wanted Luz to treasure that while she could still have it. And at the same time, I wonder if Eda felt as if she was betraying herself by being a hypocrite, telling Luz to stay with her mother when Eda herself hadn't done so and would continue not to.
But then Luz stays for Eda's sake, and she helps Eda get back her relationship with her mother. And Eda helps Luz in making a new portal so she regain her relationship with HER mother. All while lamenting, at one point, that Luz is going to go back to her real family in Eda's Requiem. They're both going back to their biological mothers, so they don't need each other anymore as a substitute. Besides, even if Eda's morals made sense to her at the time, she might've regretted letting Luz in and allowing her to be hurt by the coven.
But Luz and Eda's familial and found relationships aren't mutually exclusive, either!!! And Eda has to remember what she told Luz in Separate Tides, that her life changed for the better meeting this girl! Maybe Eda thinks that she needs Luz, but Luz didn't need her. But she really needed another parental figure, not unlike Manny, to give Luz another perspective to work with, so she could eventually go back to Camila and explain in better terms what she needed. And by the time Luz reunited with her mother, she wasn't able to articulate how she felt, due to a number of other factors outside of Eda's control that made her feel too guilty to ask for that.
Eda meeting Camila was so tense on her part, because she likely though of herself as an irresponsible stranger who kidnapped Camila's child and got her so terribly hurt and traumatized; At least, she couldn't blame Camila for thinking that way. Eda probably felt that way about herself, sometimes. But Luz needed her moms to get along, it'd mean so much to her, so Eda brushes aside the self-pity and presents herself as Luz's other family; Similarly, Camila has already opened her mind to the Boiling Isles because she can tell how much this place and its people mean to Luz. So even if they had different ideas on how to help Luz, they've since made their consensus by listening to Luz herself, and have gotten together over this mutual love.

Hcs for how each of the boys to react to "I'm pregnant"?
Any of them that you want to write for :)
So excited
English not my first language. Sorry
Van Der Linde Gang's Boys' Reactions To "I'm pregnant" (And Eagle Flies)
Hehehe this was so cute and also I didn't edit this ❤️
Warnings: none
Arthur Morgan
He'd be so fucking happy
Probably in disbelief at first but oh my God he'd be overjoyed
Ask you if you're serious over and over
Once he's convinced he's gonna ask all these questions about your physical and mental wellbeing
Celebrates with you (whatever that entails wink wink)
In his elated haze he's gonna wanna ask all these questions about your future together as parents
Is aware the gang ain't the best place to raise a kid but he'll reassure you that you'll have the whole gangs support
John Marston
Oh god
Let's just say he wouldn't be the most elated parent 😭💀
He's already got Jack and now he needs to take care of another?
If this were a revelation that came earlier in the game he's gonna be very irresponsible but I feel like he wouldn't deny that the kid was his
So at that point he's sort of forced to actually give a damn about him
And believe me he'd try but he wouldn't be the best at it, would need guidance
If this came later in the game like epilogue he'd probably be WAY more happier.
Your lives are finally settled and you can afford to have a kid
He'd be the happiest and more supportive husband and dad
Still wouldn't be sure about all the ropes but he'd try
Dutch Van Der Linde
He'd be SO happy
Like genuinely he'd shower you with gifts and praise and reassurance
I feel like part of it would be a power thing for him because not only can he lead a gang, but now he can lead a family
Also some sort of weird power symbol for him. Idk how, but it is
Wouldn't let you lift a finger
Would probably keep you in his tent to rest 24/7 and only allows a few people (Grimshaw, Hosea) to see you
He's going to hope and pray it's a boy
Charles Smith
HE'D BE IN SO MUCH SHOCK AND FEEL SM HAPPINESS IT'D BE SO CUTE
You sorta have to repeat the news to him a few times for him to fully absorb it
Literally a dream of his to start a family one day so now that he has it he's ecstatic
Probably incentive to leave the gang though, doesn't want his child growing up in that environment
Would prefer if you sit back and rest but won't hold you back if you don't want to
Javier Escuella
This is cause to celebrate
Takes you into town on a date
Offers you massages, foot rubs, hand massages
Sings to you to calm you
Holds your hair when you throw up (true love)
Buys you clothes to accomodate to your changing body
Kieran Duffy
THE SWEETEST REACTION
I feel like he'd start crying
Asks to touch your belly and would speak to it
That night he'd fall asleep while holding it
Wakes up the next morning and remembers you're pregnant and his day is already off to an amazing start
Get drunk while celebrating it and he'd boast to everyone about how he's gonna be a dad
Sean Macguire
He'd say some stupid shit I already know it
Probably crack a sex joke
He's getting stupid, fucking drunk. I'm talking black out
He's probably gonna wanna celebrate if you catch my drift HAHAHA
He'd forget to be gentle sometimes out of excitement, like carrying you around and cheering
Refuses to let you do any work
In private I feel like he'd cry
Lenny Summers
He'd probably panic a bit at first
Ask all these questions about how you guys are gonna be parents and if you're even ready
Once the two of you talk through it a little more he'll calm down and his nerves turn to excitement
I'm assuming y'all would be real young so he'd seek for a lot of guidance in the others
Constantly asks you questions about what you want and need
Bill Williamson
He'd be so flustered and nervous
Probably in disbelief for a while and asks if you're serious
I wouldn't blame you for thinking he's upset with the news at first
But he just needs time to process how his life's about to change!
He becomes even more gentle with you, more than he already is
Will argue with Miss Grimshaw about letting you rest/lightening your work load
And let's be real, she would lower your work load but he'd insist it stops altogether
Micah Bell
He'd be in disbelief, but bad disbelief
That or the sleaziest reaction
I'm leaning more towards sleazy reaction
Talks about how he's gonna raise the bravest kid and he's constantly gonna reference to the kid as he because I'm convinced he wants a boy
Brags to the others
Don't get me wrong the gang's happy for you but the way Micah uses it as a point of elevation is IRRITATING
Hosea Matthews
He's the cutest like seriously
He'd be sooo happy
Probably in disbelief that he even managed to get you pregnant
I believe he'd cry, and openly, he's not ashamed! He's happy!
Announces it to the whole gang, means for celebration
Takes you on dates to buy cute little baby items ahhh
Eagle Flies
HE'D FREAK THE FUCK OUT
Pace around the room asking if you're for real, contemplates his entire life, curses himself for cumming inside
You'd have to calm him down and talk him through it
It'd be a super emotional moment for the two of you, eventually he'd realize he's fine with the idea of kids and he's just nervous!
Would ask his dad and a lot of tribe members for advice
Over time he'd get way more excited and bring up the topic more often

What would the yanderes reaction be to Percy being drunk and how would they handle her being drunk?
percy isn't the type to go drinking irresponsibly (cuz GABE 💀) so she always tries to keep her drinking to a minimum!!!! especially since she still has many secrets to keep!!!! she can't risk getting drunk and blurting them all out ofc!
.........but no one told her that the alcoholic drinks served in the gods' side of valhalla would be 10000x stronger than what humans drink 💀 it never even occurred to her either, she thought it'd be normal alcohol but nope, she gets shitfaced within the first 3 sips 😭😭😭
now, she'd be a very bipolar drunk. when she's around people, she'll be giggly and having a blast!!!!! but if she were to be left alone for a minute, suddenly all the bad stuff that's ever happened to her in her life hits her all at once and she becomes a sobbing, weepy mess on the floor 😭
poseidon would concerned, but then he gets lost when percy starts whimpering about how she apparently caused the destruction of atlantis?????? "dad, i'm really really sorry 🥺 i just wanted you to help defeat typhon but i ruined your kingdommmm i'm sorryyyyy 😭😭😭" and he's just "???? atlantis is fine and typhon died before you were even born 😐🔱"
hades is even MORE at a loss because percy's on the floor, crying in front of him for failing his children????? he has never once had any children named nico or bianca (those are italian names, gross!), but she insists that he did and that it was her fault that his nonexistent lesbian daughter died and that she failed to take care of his equally nonexistent son 💀💀💀
APOLLO IS FREAKING THE FUCK OUT 😭😭😭😭 cuz percy is in literal TEARS apologizing for causing the death of his son named michael yew???? who is definitely NOT his son, but what freaks him out the most is the fact that she's not lying. he keeps pressing her for answers and she answers each one of them through tears and now apollo needs to figure out HOW he has a mortal son that apparently died because she destroyed the bridge he was on 💀
anubis is panicking and desperately trying ways to console her but he just freaks out more and more. "i had a puppy back home and i miss herrrrrr 😭😭😭😭" she'd sob. "my baby hellhoud.... 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭" and he's just like "WHO LET YOU HAVE A PET HELLHOUND????" and now he has to refrain himself from attacking hades (poor man's getting the blame for something he didn't do 💀) while trying to calm her down
cú chulainn's awkward af but he's genuinely trying his best 💔 his dumb brat's suddenly wailing about how much she hates being a demigod and how she wished she was a human (to which he scoffed at) and how miserable she is because she's a demigod. again, another scoff. miserable? she's the most privileged demigod to ever exist, coddled, doted, and spoiled by everyone around her. but then she starts sobbing about dead friends and wars and monsters trying to hurt her and he gets a little creeped out like "haha... you've got a wild imagination, moron 😟 haha... relax, ur fine, no one's gonna hurt you... 😟"
loki's having a blast with sad drunk percy up until he realizes that damn her life sucks ASS. now he just feels bad for her 😭 he tries his best to console her, but it's too late cuz he's been egging her on in her misery and she's completely inconsolable at this point. knowing how important her secret is, he teleports her to his room and knocks her out so she can rest. as much as he wants to mess with her, he's a little disturbed by the shit he's learned 💔
MEANWHILE BEELZEBUB'S FRANTICALLY TRYING TO GET PERCY TO SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE SHE SPILLS THE BEANS 😭😭😭😭 the second she starts weeping about her home life, he grabs her and teleports her away instantly. no more drinking for her. he is, however, super curious and desperate to learn more, but at the same time, he's too shaken at the thought of anything bad happening to his beloved 💔 so he knocks her out instead and prepares something to cure the raging hangover she'll have tomorrow 💖

Superfam and Found Family: What it Means to Choose
I have seen a lot of my beloved mutuals talk about adoption as a theme in the superfam, and thats true, thats very much a thing, but thats more a subsection of the larger idea with the superfamily: You get to choose your family, and define your relationship to them.
Clark and Kon come to mind. They've been discussed a lot lately, huh? Namely people saying Clark does not treat Kon well. This is false, by the way, they get along great.
But let's sort of dig into the actual story told by their relationship here: Kon was created by Lex without Clark's consent. Clark had no say in how part of his DNA would be used to create a new life.
(This is coincidentally why it irks me that certain fans will act like Clark is a monster for even HYPOTHETICALLY not wanting a relationship with Kon. Guys, you sound like pro-lifers. Lets watch it!)
Despite this, Clark accepts Kon with open arms. Now, as myself and others have pointed out, Kon's technically... he's not a clone, he's a test tube baby. Technically, biologically, he's Clark & Lex's son. D.. diversity win...?
But thats not how Clark and Kon choose to define their relationship. They instead decide, hey, we were raised by the same people, we're brothers.
Kon is not an outsider to the Superfam, even as he is an outsider to this world- He is welcomed with open arms once it is clear he needs a home. And with Clark and Kon, they get to choose how they define their relationship, not Lex, not anyone else.
Then, John Henry and Nat. John Henry is not Natasha's father, but their relationship is very complex and often veers into that territory, for the simple reason that he shows up for her in that capacity when Natasha's own father fails her.
Even while their relationship has its ups and downs (read 52 guys for THEM), they manage to forge a relationship based on mutual respect, enough to the point where during Steelworks, she is not just his niece, but his partner in building a better tomorrow. It is a fatherly/daughterly relationship built on mutual respect largely independent of their blood relation, built on the security that Clay failed to provide Natasha with.
Of course, to talk about adoption, Clois adopting the twins. I think Phillip Kennedy Johnson handles the topic of adoption EXPERTLY with Otho-Ra and Osul-Ra, specifically as a metaphor for transracial/transethnic adoption.
Clark's relationship with the twins is built throughout the Warworld saga, and does not start... great (they discuss looting his corpse lol), and often they. But Clark understands that the kids are traumatized, and seeks to guide them to a better situation.
Now I would be irresponsible to not mention that, during this time, Clark is still struggling with Jon's age up. He mumbles, disoriented during their first meeting, that the kids are the same age as his son (no they are not). In a less tightly written book by a worse writer, it'd be a thing where Clark completely uncritically finds 'replacement kids' in the twins... Which is NOT what happens here, because PKJ is the GOAT.
In the end, his relationship with the twins is built not only independently of his struggles with Jon, but the way he connects with them helps Clark realize that whats done is done. They need him to be Clark, not a man hanging onto the past he will never get back. To move forward, they must do it together, it won't work if the twins remain on Warworld and he remains mentally in Hamilton. Its why it is SUPER important, also, that in the end, Clark doesn't ask them to come with him- rather, they ask to go with Clark.
(Sidenote: The twins lost not only their parents on warworld, but an older brother, too. Clark isn't the only one who finds a healing way forward via the Ra-El relationships, but that's gonna be another post!) And their hero names, Red Son and Starchild, are from their original culture (the Phaelosians), a culture that was systematically robbed from them when Warworld trafficked them into service. Rather than forcing them to conform to the house of El and their legacy, they help the kids reconnect.
These are his children. They found each other in the scariest place in the universe, and together, they find a way past the things they've both suffered through.
I'm afraid I don't know much about Kara (kara mutuals, reading recs appreciated! i've only ever read WOT and a few issues of the most recent Supergirl run) but I do know that her relationship to Clark is inherently different than it was supposed to be, and she has to roll with it and redefine it accordingly. She was supposed to be older than him, be able to take care of him, but by the time she actually finds him, he's the one doing that for her.
(I dont really have a panel here I fear, so look at the pretty art from Woman of Tomorrow. If someone wants to say more on Kara, you're welcome to hijack my post for a bit!)
Kenan is an example of this theme going kind of sideways and being examined from another angle- He's forced to choose between his two found families, and with either choice, he stands to lose something. Either his connection to Superman, or his connection to home:
Kenan already has a messy relationship with family, considering the soap opera level drama his parents inflict on him in his solo. Now, separated from his culture by circumstances he can't control, Kenan's relationship with the Superfam is forced by circumstance, even as it isn't unwanted. He's forced to make the most of what he has.
Then you have Clark and Jon, where the 'and define your relationship to them' part of my thematic statement REALLY becomes important.
I've seen it argued many times that giving Jon the Superman mantle weakens the theme of found family, but I'd argue it strengthens it, because Jon not having a choice in becoming Superman is EXPLICITLY framed as a bad thing.
Jon's not ready to be Superman. He doesn't even really WANT to be superman. But because of the circumstances of his birth, the world, and his father, push him into it. Clark never asked Jon to be Superman, during the Son-of-kal-el + Warworld era. He assumed he would be.
It tarnishes Clark & Jon's relationship, actively preventing Jon from connecting with his father and the WORLD fully in the way they both want. This is a key theme of Superman: Son of Kal El, from the very moment of Jon's actual birth:
All throughout post-age up Jon is the idea that Jon is just as burdened by the expectations placed upon him by his blood as he is comforted by what the mantle represents.
(I know I use this panel like every analysis but its a GOOD PANEL, SHUT UP) And there's of course the fact that... y'know. Well. Y'know.
Y'KNOW.
I think there's a potentially strong story in either Jon walking away from the mantle entirely, or redefining it to be his own. But first, he's going to have to suffer for the fact he wasn't ready for what many people call his DESTINY, including his abuser.
And where does this leave Jon and Clark?
Here.
The last note before Absolute Power of these two is this bittersweet moment where Jon still isn't fully heard. Where he still doesn't get a full say in what he and Clark's relationship will be. And judging by THIS interview from Mark Waid, this particular idea is about to finally come home to roost:
Lastly, there's of course the Most Found Family Thing Of All that i basically see NO one talk about: The fact that the Irons and the Kents just. Share all their big life events with each other. They're literally not related to each other by blood at all, but throughout PKJ's Action Comics, they ARE family!
Teamwork makes the dreamwork guys!
The superfamily is a wonderfully diverse cluster of relationships and examinations of the way family finds each other. Even moreso than the Batfam, which is often defined by their father-son relationship with Bruce in fanon, the Superfam displays a wide array of the various ways non-nuclear families can build each other.
This is all to say you guys should read PKJ's action comics run. It rules.
(This is also to say Superman 2016 sucks ass.)
#This post could be much longer! I'm gonna give Jon & the twins their own post at some point because its my favorite thing ever.#I have more to say!#But I am forcing myself to keep it cool keep it cool.#superman#superfam#superfamily#john henry irons#natasha irons#steel#clark kent#kal el#kon el#conner kent#otho-ra#osul-ra#red son#starchild#kenan kong#super-man of china#kara zor el#supergirl#jon kent#jonathan samuel kent#meta#jonology#technically?#not rly abt him but it counts

this is so Writing Fiction 101 and the most juvenile 9th-grader thing to point out in the world but like. one thing i enjoy about Kodaka's works is that the flaws of his characters aren't necessarily moral judgements upon their whole personality.
Danganronpa gives us this often. Sakura is the big stoic fighter but is shown with a massive amount of compassion and understanding, even towards those who have wronged her. Chiaki is a little schlubby and sleepy and distant, but also incredibly observant and non-judgemental. Tenko is sexist and impulsive but also brave, in touch with her emotions, and deeply protective.
it continues in Rain Code. Chief is lazy and somewhat irresponsible and yet also cares deeply about people, even going to find Vivia out of genuine high concern when it seemed Viv had gone missing and suicidal. Halara is somewhat greedy and cold but also profoundly intelligent and loves animals. etcetera.
again: very simple, very obvious observation. but. you'd be surprised how many writers on both sides of the Pacific will say "this character is the Evil and Annoying One who is rude and arrogant and careless and useless and a pig and messy and sexist and racist and and and" rather than parceling out traits individually in a more realistic manner. it'd be easy to make Chief just the shitty leader or Chiaki just the beatific dream girl. this is why i like DR and Rain Code

Unpopular opinion- Severus was 1000000% justified for outing Remus after he didn't take his Wolfsbane Potion, which resulted in him almost killing Severus and three 3rd year students (the golden trio) who have little to no knowledge about defending themselves from a literal werewolf. Remus had also shown absolutely no regard for other people's safety when it comes to his lycanthropic condition. He didn't care for other's safety when he was a student at Hogwarts, always running around Hogsmeade and endangering the innocent civilians. And, he's shown that he's still careless and reckless about his condition and how it could potentially effect innocent people around him.
So, Severus was absolutely in the right for outing Remus and wanting him to be gone away from all of them. And, I also hate how Remus made Severus outing his condition into some petty thing he did to get back at him for their 'schoolboy rivalry'. You and your friends literally relentlessly bullied him and almost murdered him because your best buddy thought it'd be 'funny'. SHUT UP, REMUS! YOU LITERALLY HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT PETTINESS OR RIVALRY!
Anyways, I stand by my opinion and don't care what marauders stans have to say coz they honestly disgust me.
The people who criticise this are judging Snape’s actions entirely from Harry’s perspective. And it’s not just because Harry hates Snape and adores Lupin, it’s because Harry is a literal kid. And the people defending Lupin in this situation? They’re acting like kids too.
I’ve never seen a genuinely mature adult criticise what Snape did here, and if there are any, sorry, but they’re either clueless or completely missing the point. Any adult with even a basic sense of responsibility toward teenagers 13, 14, 15 years old knows that bringing someone potentially lethal onto a school campus full of children without informing the parents or the other staff is wildly irresponsible.
Out of all the responsible adults at that school, only two knew that one of the teachers could become a serious threat at any moment. The rest of the staff — the people who could’ve taken action, or put protocols in place — knew absolutely nothing. What the hell, Dumbledore? You bring in a literal weapon to look after children and don’t even give the rest of the faculty a heads-up?
And that’s just the start. Not informing the parents is even worse. I’m sorry, but as a parent, you have a right to know who your child is interacting with —especially when they’re underage— and the school has an obligation to be transparent about the potential dangers posed by its staff. You cannot have someone who could forget a potion and potentially maul a student to death, and keep that fact hidden from families. Parents have a right to that information, and the choice to consent or not. In the real world, that wouldn’t just be irresponsible, it would be grounds for legal action. The school board that allowed it would be buried in lawsuits.
But as if all that weren’t enough, Lupin actually forgot to take the potion. He didn’t take it. That’s not just a mistake: that’s negligence. And when you’re responsible for children, you don’t get to be negligent. What if next time he forgets and he’s inside the castle? What if next time it’s not just a scare, it’s a massacre?
Severus didn’t do anything wrong. He exposed what had always been a reckless decision and a massive breach of trust toward staff, toward parents, and ultimately, toward the students themselves. And it became an actual threat when Lupin failed to live up to his responsibilities.
I don’t care how poor or pitiful Lupin’s circumstances were, children’s lives come before a grown man’s financial stability. Snape did what any responsible adult would do. The problem is, responsible adult decisions never sit well with kids, because they don’t understand them.
They will. One day. When they grow up.

Introducing nagito music, my 4 hour long chronological birth-to-death Komaeda playlist!!!
For anyone willing to subject themselves to that, I recommend listening in order — I tried to make the narrative clear even on a first listen, so hopefully most of it should come across without explanation??? That said, I'm also putting a summary of the different plot beats of the playlist under the cut for anyone who's curious!
Precanon
"I Don't Wanna Die" - "Rejoice": Early misfortune & realizing he has a luck cycle
"Dear Life" - "Waiting42moro": What I call the "descent into madness" arc, trying to hold on to hope that his luck will change for the better.
"Happylucky" & "Congratulations": His luck finally flips and he tries to pretend it was worth it. Basically sitting on a throne of money he didn't want covered in the blood of people he loved because it literally cost him everything.
"No More Shame, No More Fear, No More Dread" & "Just a Fan": Radical acceptance of his place in the world, especially upon entering HPA and receiving his diagnoses.
SDR2
"Ready to Die" & "Problems": Entering the killing game and planning his own suicide (by Teruteru's hand) + Revealing that during the trial and taking the role of antagonist thereafter.
"I Wanna Be Your Dog 2" - "Caroline, Please Kill Me": Increasingly intense fixation on Hajime, more and more overtly asking Hajime to kill him.
"Gross" - "Shihatsu to Kafuka" (n-buna): Reaching an impasse with Hajime, realizing they will never be able to see eye to eye despite their best attempts (around Chapter 4).
"We Will Commit Wolf Murder" - "Ghost (of 7th street)": Reading the file from the Final Dead Room and resolving to do his Chapter 5 scheme.
"Rhinestone Eyes" - "RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES": Blowing up the hotel, making bomb threats, telling people to torture him --- generally going villain mode.
"#2" & "Kill Command": He just wanted to be loved before he died................
OVA
"Trouble Awful Devil Evil" - "entotsu" (mitsume): Being brought out of his coma, rejoining other Remnants, reorienting himself to the new Hajime.
Postcanon (it's all Komahina)
"You've Got a Gift" - "the same things happening to me all the time, even in my dreams": Realizing he still admires, and has feelings for, Hajime. Immediately assumes those feelings will go unreciprocated for the rest of his life, and is more or less fine with that.
"Struck by Lightning" - "Un See Through": At Hajime's insistence, Komaeda chooses to be "selfish" by letting Hajime in. At this point he still fully believes that it will get them both killed, hence the songs about blissfully dying together.
"Happy Unhappy" - "Self Control": Very very painfully questioning his beliefs in light of his luck never retaliating.
"Gods of the Good Shit" & "Wishing Well": He manages to avoid losing his mind by reframing his relationship with Hajime as a final stroke of luck, the Ultimate Hope everything has been leading up towards. Much like his example in FTE 3, the Tragedy and the killing game were necessary precursors to him meeting Hajime.
"Everyone Adores You" - "Ball Cap": Trying to help Hajime through his own insecurities.
"Doc" - "Paul": Despite having sorted through the fear that his luck will kill Hajime, Komaeda still feels unworthy as a person and believes he's dragging Hajime down. In other words, he sees this as finally coming down from the irresponsible fantasy life he's been letting himself live with Hajime. He lets Hajime know it'd be fine if he wanted to leave... Then admits Hajime probably should leave him. Then begs Hajime to leave him. Finally, upon realizing Hajime is too stubborn to give up, Komaeda takes some drastic action to push him away.
"Heart for Brains" - "OK" : Hajime insists that Komaeda is what's important to him in life, and basically talks him off the edge — he'd basically spend every waking moment of his life making Komaeda feel better if that's what it takes, and he's not taking no for an answer. Komaeda truly cannot accept that he's not a burden, but eventually gives in and allows Hajime to love him anyway. He's too weak to keep putting up a fight, after all.
"Don't Go": Komaeda finally becomes selfish enough to ask Hajime to stay with him. This song parallels the lyrics "You can go if you want to / You should go if you want to" from "I'll be Alright" earlier in this relationship depression arc.
"Possession": Eternal commitment to each other, basically a montage of their life up until...
Death
"Putting the Dog to Sleep": Years later, Hajime's health starts to decline (ultimately due to the Kamukura project). Komaeda is convinced it's his fault, probably on account of his luck, and begs Hajime not to die first - "Prove to me I'm not gonna die alone." Outliving Hajime is especially cruel irony since Komaeda was never even meant to survive to this age. This song mirrors the first unlucky death, Komaeda's dog, which was a net loss.
"You Swan, Go On": Hajime dies, and Komaeda follows soon after. He feels unspeakable levels of gratitude towards Hajime in his final moments, never feeling entirely worthy even at the very end but so, so happy that it happened to him anyway.
"Last Words of a Shooting Star": Komaeda is grateful that his own body self destructs fast enough that he doesn't have to live too long in a world without Hajime. This song mirrors the second unlucky deaths, Komaeda's parents, who died with each other at the exact same time.

COE33 thoughts on The Ending Discourse, spoilers for everything
I mean the thing is they're ALL fictional to me, right? So I don't really think there is such a problem with playing favourites. It's not that I don't get the point, it's that I don't think Verso wanting to die matters more than Lune wanting to live. I don't think Aline's unhealthy coping mechanism needed to be everyone else's problem.
And that's been said a lot, so maybe the other part of this is that I don't think the first forty hours of the game were comparatively meaningless. I think the themes of grief, facing hardship, accepting truth and letting go are all captured by the FIRST story we were told. The expeditioners all dealt with that stuff explicitly.
This is why I hate "the secondary world wasn't real" type rug-pulls as a rule. It's often something a story will do to try to ground the narrative or bring it back down to earth, but I typically feel like I don't need for that to happen because I was already invested in the fantasy story and didn't need a closer-to-home analogy in order to, like, Really Feel It. I thought it'd be ok this time because the primary world of the Painters is clearly also weird and magical, so there's less of that feeling of condescension towards fantasy as a concept, but they use the narrative device the same way, to shift the focal point and recontextualize the story as something more personal that you can actually imagine going through. This Could Be Your Family!
Now, this one was pretty forecasted, what with everything being paint themed I was going "I really hope we're not in a painting" early on. And I still wish we were not in a painting, that would have worked better for me! I'm sure that informs how I view the ending and where I did and didn't buy in! But you know, it was a fairly predictable turn. And I guess, having bought in so hard to the struggles of the expedition itself, I am just more interested in the conflict between the painted and the painters than in what is best for the Dessendre family. They're interesting characters and everything, but I just don't really care that much if they get better, particularly when they're all at their most interesting when messy.
And I guess I ultimately don't think that the answers the resolution can provide by shifting the focus to the Dessendre family are more interesting than the questions that the early game asked. "What do you do in a doomed world?" is more interesting and pertinent to me than this question of escapism. Obviously they are connected in the end, but you know. I like all of the questions this game has to ask better than the answers it tries to provide.
I think it might have helped if we were able to invest in them earlier, or if any of them had like... Any endearing qualities? Gustave and Lune and Sciel are all incredibly courageous in the face of a horrible situation, while the Dessendres seem committedly selfish and irresponsible as they face the exact same circumstances. We're told it's a zero-sum game and only one side can win, and implicitly it's supposed to be the Dessendres because they're realer, but I just. Do not think their struggle is more real or more compelling or more instructive than everyone else's.
And Verso is compelling, sure, and I feel for him, yes, but that's kind of even more of a reason to not want to help him kill himself and bring everyone down with him in the process. Maelle, meanwhile, dies in favour of Alicia at the end of Act 2 and doesn't even feel like the same person anymore. I feel for her too, but I also think more than anyone she's kind of fucked either way, that family doesn't seem good to her.

in space, we're here ! gojo x reader
when speaking about satoru, you have to stifle the grin that threatens to make itself known. many think he's a handful, affectionately scoffing at your poorly concealed lovesick gaze when you mention him as if they could never imagine coming home to his antics at the end of a long day.
honestly, you're grateful for that.
the satoru you know, the satoru you love to know, isn't half as obnoxious as he attempts to be outside your four walls; no, he's gentle, quiet even. gentle in the way his hands graze your skin as you would if you were feeling the petals of a delicate flower. he's quiet first thing in the morning and last thing at night especially, dozy and soft as he reaches for you with one hand and his mug with the other, preparing his morning coffee or herbal tea before bed. he's also attentive, careful. but that spans his entire being, always observing and acting carefully whether that's on missions paired with snarky quips and remarks or at home, as he hands you his half-drunken mug of tea he's seen you eye up for the last half hour with an affectionate roll of his eyes.
he's not a completely different person, you've never been exempt from his teasing. but his words are delivered with little grins and sweet gazes, calling you out on your bed hair whilst brushing some of the strands carefully, eyes fond as he presses a kiss to your temple as you dozily lean against him.
his attentiveness is his own worst enemy he realises. the front he puts on is carefully constructed, a window that allows him to be seen without anyone getting too close. after all, being the strongest draws in the strongest enemies, the strongest hardships. he'd always thought it'd be irresponsible, unethical even, to fall in love. for someone like him whose top priority has to be the world, how could he ever prioritise just one? even so, the start of your relationship wasn't as turbulent as some would expect, you'd both argue it was the most natural progression you'd ever seen. you were bright in a way he hadn't encountered before, subdued but always there, shining slow and steady like a star. he'd once rather poetically voiced the sentiment aloud, knowing that after the initial giggle at his cheesiness, you'd understand. for someone resembling the moon, so beautifully solitary, the stars were a natural lifelong companion. it was this that had him falling into steady routines with you way easier than he thought was possible.
you were there, waiting for him at the end of long days and sullen weather, cosied up in bed and looking like the personification of comfort itself. he redacted his thoughts fast, because in moments like this, he knows he's in over his head, he's fallen fast and hard and never been so grateful to be suspended above the ground. he knows he'll continue to fall for eternity as your hands rake through his freshly washed hair every night, as you speak about your day whether it be mundane or packed to the brim. he knows even as he finally succumbs to the exhaustion weighing his body down: he'll hold no regrets so long as he can wake up to you every morning and lay with you every night.
you're grateful.
for his presence, for the weight of his head on your chest, and the tufts of his moonlit hair tickling your chin. you're grateful as your fingers trace the cool band on his finger and the mutual promise sealed with a kiss; a promise that no matter the path of his orbit around the world, you'll be the closest star.
a/n: idk what this is mjus very in love with satoru at this point and it's all coming out in convoluted metaphors and rambles pls love it thank u pookies <;33

THAT GOJO FIC THOUGH??? an absolute masterpiece and soooo beautifully written. definitely felt super in character for him - equal parts eerie, entitled, and light-hearted? loved loved loved it.
i’m curious (not necessarily a request…unless?) just want to pick your brain about what that relationship between gojo and reader might look like as adults or a few years in the future. does his yandede tendency worsen? does reader ever try to leave or just accept how things are? what, if anything, would anger your interpretation of yan!gojo? how does he keep reader under his thumb for so many years? do others understand what he’s doing and what their relationship truly is? what even is their relationship? haha i’m so sorry i just loved your gojo so much and am foaming at the mouth for any more scraps you may have to offer
THANK YOU VERY MUUUUUUUUUCH there's something about questionable men that turns my pupils into hearts each and every time.
as for your questions, let's see... first and foremost, i've decided that the fic i discussed writing is like the 'baseline' universe with 'it's graduation, isn't it?' being a branching yandere narrative (or AU i guess)?? i came up with a backstory for the darling in IGII and thought it had enough potential to be explored further. so, all this to say that i'm working on the main story right now which will flesh out reader's relationship with shoko, geto, and gojo in particular. this'll give additional context to the relationship gojo and reader have in the yandere fic! for their time in high school, i've decided to split the story into three main arcs, each one taking place during reader's time as a first year, second year, and third year. (i have ideas for post high school-to the present day in when the main events of JJK pick up, but i'll focus on that later).
here's a general overview of the start of the fic. presently, its working title is 'golden girl.'
2005 — reader's first year arc.
takes place primarily from reader's perspective with the occasional shift to omniscient perspective. reader's from another country, so she's unfamiliar with all the politics/bureaucracy in japan's jujutsu scene. in-depth look at her first day at jujutsu tech, her initial impressions of shoko, gojo, and geto. gojo does something that reader views as irresponsible, kickstarting their decades long relationship with reader disliking him 😭
exploring the quintet's dynamic with one another. reader still thinks gojo is annoying, is okay with geto but finds something about him mildly unnerving, gets along best with shoko. gojo has intense 'kindergarden boy pulling the hair of the girl he has a crush on' energy. reader sloooooooowly warms up to him.
reader at this point has a rose-tinted view of jujutsu society. while she isn't ignorant to the reality sorcerers face when going about their jobs, she assumes everyone at the top must get along so everyone can best preserve the public's safety. can't fathom why it'd be any different. as such, the story's tone up until this point has a slice of life-esque vibe.
the first real conflict in this arc comes in the form of an assignment gojo, geto, and reader receive. a zenin sorcerer got whooped on what should've been an easy job, dirtying the family's image. to rectify this, the zenins pester jujutsu tech to send in the heavy artillery (aka gojo and geto) so it looks like the job was so difficult, some of the best sorcerers had to handle it. reader is also requested to join them for reasons that'll be revealed later.
(more under the cut because whewie this got long)
gojo and geto can pretty much see through the petty politics going on. they explain the machinations to reader, who decides to take the assignment serious regardless. gojo in particular is very blasé about the entire thing because one, that big ass ego and two, he's a teen. bad combo.
the assignment itself takes place in an abandoned nursery on the outskirts of nagoya. here, the three encounter the curse 'the caretaker' and its 'little ones.' now it's psychological horror time. gojo's arrogance exacerbated by reader's insistence on following protocol clash bad. the fight ends up not being so simple after all due to the curse's abilities. they eventually realize reader's cursed technique is Suspiciously best suited to work as a counter, but at grave risk and damage to herself. thanks zenins. ultimately, reader pulls it off, but receives heavy injuries in the process. gojo and geto are pissed about this entire thing. character development for the squad that'll play into their themes into adulthood (gojo's wish to upend the higher-ups, geto's disillusionment with jujutsu society, and a secret third thing for reader).
in what will serve as a parallel for post star plasma arc, the three are able to 'overcome' the event enough and grow closer for it. everyone's coping mechanisms kinda sucks but not to the degree it'll suck after the events of post star plasma arc.
reader's like oh boy, that was an eventful first year haha! i sure hope my second year isn't anywhere near as chaotic haha! :)
as for where the narrative would branch into a yandere AU, that'd take place mostly in reader's third year. personally, i think gojo would be a bit of an unhealthy weirdo no matter what in a romantic relationship, but just not to the Full yandere extent. so you'll see him up to some questionable shenanigans even in the main fic.
i apologize, i ended up laser focusing on gojo's relationship with reader so much that i didn't really answer your other questions GJSDKLFS i just feel like the events of the main story will go on to shape yandere and non yandere gojo's behavior with reader enough that without context, it won't make as much sense.

re the palestinian bird thing: different anon here, idk what they meant but it’s worth noting that, in addition to political fuckery, that the campaign to remove the word “palestine” from the bird's name might have partially been an attempt to correct a bit of historical revisionism. the only reason that region of the world is commonly known as palestine today in the first place is because the roman empire renamed the area to “syria palaestina” after the roman-jewish wars. they had previously allowed the province to be called judea/judaea, as in jews and the jewish kingdoms that existed there before being conquered. and it wasn't until much later that the arabs now known as palestinians came to be. (disclaimer: I don't speak hebrew and can't be bothered to track down hebrew articles from a decade ago to translate by hand to fact check how much this played into the bird thing but it is a reasonable possibility and an understandable one, as jewish heritage has been so often destroyed and erased. regardless, the palestinian response to make the bird a symbol is equally understandable.) relatedly, be careful about the phrase “from the river to the sea”, because while it's sometimes about palestinian liberation, it's also often used as a dogwhistle that means “kill all jews in the levant”; and the dogwhistle version has become increasingly common as of late. look into the organization called standing together for antisemitism-free activism and jewish/palestinian solidarity.
I see what you mean, the history you mentioned seems to check out and it's unquestionably been a tumultuous part of the world that's been given a lot of different names over time. However I don't really feel comfortable in agreeing it was combating revisionism because it happened during what I understand to be a violent occupation. Without a source or truly knowing the intentions it's just kind of speculation.
"From the river to the sea" was used in that post in the context of Palestinian freedom and peace. Related to that point, I also received another ask concerned with my use of the word "zionist" as it has historically described a very wide range of ideas, and has also been used as an antisemitic dogwhistle. That was not my intent, it's the word I was most familiar with to get across my point that I don't support violence against or the erasure of Palestinian culture. Those using violence and calls for peace to excuse antisemitism are despicable. One can and should be an ally of both Palestinians and Jewish people.
I looked up Standing Together, I can certainly get behind their message of peace and cooperation, and people in Israel who are working to end the genocide deserve so much respect and admiration. It seems like reception to the movement has been mostly positive, but I feel it'd be irresponsible not to mention that the PACBI wing of the BDS movement has taken issue with it in the past week. I don't feel qualified to take a definitive stance either way, especially as I also can't read Hebrew or Arabic to get more direct contex. I encourage anyone interested to learn more and come to your own conclusions.
My overall point is that I do not support the genocide the Israeli miltary is enacting on the Palestinian people. I want to share more posts about Palestinian culture, art, and joy in a time where there is effort being made to erase it.
Finally, while I do my best to make sure what goes on this blog is accurate, I just wanna make it clear that I'm neither an expert at research, nor am I able to be a definitive resource for this topic (or frankly most things).
#As a sidenote i have anon asks turned off for the time being. Probably will not be permenant#Mostly its for if anyone else would like to make claims in the near future I want to know who theyre coming from yknow#And also i did recieve a lot of anons in a short time span last night and it was pretty overwhelming#Dont worry i didnt get anything nasty everyone was respectful#Thank you to those who sent kind words. I teared up a little reading them <3

Would I be the asshole if I reported my brother to his medical school?
So, my brother is in his first year of med school. I don't think that's at the point yet where he actually has to work face-to-face with patients yet, which is why this has slipped through to this point. See, my brother discovered early in the fall that he has latent tuberculosis. Basically, he carries TB but doesn't "have the disease." If you're familiar with Edgar Allen Poe, though, you know that this could present an issue down the line. At any point either he could get TB or he could become a vector and give it to people around him. He's 25, so he's still on my parents' health insurance, and they've said they'll pay whatever extra costs for antibiotics. It'd literally be free for him to get treated.
He refuses because he "doesn't want to and doesn't need to yet." So it's been months that he's been running around med school, carrying TB. My parents have begged him to get it treated, but he's 25 and lives across the state, so they can't force him. He also has a history of getting belligerent about being made to do things he doesn't want to do, so I guess they decided to drop it. I assume he'll need to pass a TB test before he's at a point where his curriculum moves into the hospital, but I honestly don't know. Regardless, I think that it's super irresponsible of him to be doing this to begin with.
I just kinda feel like I'd be responsible if someone got it because of him when I knew and never said anything. He and I have a really bad relationship already, so I'm not necessarily worried about damaging that, but I know that the rest of my family would probably be upset with me and say I was doing too much and should've just let it run its course, as the school would probably find out eventually. Would I be the asshole if I contacted his school and ratted him out?
(I'm okay being off anon in case anyone has questions. Idc no one I know uses this site)
