Once Marcia & Two-Bit start dating and Marcia learns enough sign she'll see the gang cursing out Socs when she's hanging out with her Soc friends and snicker to herself and they'll beg her to tell them what they're saying but she NEVER snitches. Half the time when the Socs get their panties in a twist over it the gang aren't even taunting them, they're just talking to each other in the vicinity of a Soc.
When Marcia figures this out she starts REALLY playing into it. Like, she'll see some of the guys she's hanging out with glaring over at the gang and she'll snicker or slap a hand over her mouth, just fake any type of reaction, and they’ll interrogate her to try and get her to tell them what they said and every time she's just like "oh no I can't repeat it, it's like, morally reprehensible, I would never say that out loud" "oh no, no, it's nothing, it's nothing!" "I'm not comfortable with repeating it, it's like, really really bad" etc etc etc and the boys will LOSE their shit. And it turns out it was just Pony enthusiastically telling Soda, Two, and Johnny about something that happened in the book he's reading.
Two thinks it's the funniest thing ever and gets the gang in on it, so then whenever they notice some Socs glaring daggers at them they'll play up their normal conversations to make it seem like they're saying the most vulgar shit ever. And it's just Soda talking about a stray cat that showed up at the DX the other day.

I love three houses discourse because I'm pretty sure everyone just picks their route based on which house leader they're the most gay for and then tries to defend their pick by pointing out the other sides's war crimes via twitter memes. crazy how the sanshee plush is one of the few actual direct confirmations on what a non-act 2 Natsuki’s home life is like because of how cagey she is on literally everything. Like this isn’t anything surprising or something you wouldn’t be able to extrapolate from the games but unlike everything else we know about her the implications are right there on the tin.
They literally did the character bio trope where where all the likes are normal but the dislikes are about their very specific trauma it’s just so funny they did that on the plushie card
#the thing is the rest of the bios are mostly normal it’s just this one with the yellong part why did they do that#idk if I’m stupid or forgot the yelling thing being shown directly in a non-act 2 context but I at least appreciate the confirmation#since I might just be mixing up fanon and canon considering 90% of what we know with Natsuki’s whole deal is interpolated from small tidbits#but like trying to understand anything about non act 2 Natsuki’s background is so funny because she doesn’t like to talk about anything#so all we know about her home life is by comparing her to act 2 and the secret poem plus psychoanalysing her thoughts and actions#is like the secret poem says Monika definitely made her dad worse but the problem is we don’t know how much#anyways and for all we know her dad could range from somewhat average dad to should be put on a watch list#and sometimes there’s dialogue like the one in self love about Natsuki worrying about her friends retaliation#and it’s probably meant to act as a confirmation to whether there’s physical abuse considering how out of left field the question is#but like it could be interpreted either way so it’s basically just Schrödinger’s physical abuse for no reason#I’m not criticizing or anything I think the characters being able to hold secrets is cool and ambiguity is awesome#and the choice to keep the ambiguous is intentional since the characters only share what their comfortable with#but I just need to vent about that one line in self love ok#like idk if I’m just stupid but there’s multiple interpretations but it’s seemingly both a decomfirmation and confirmation#idk it’s weird but her dad yelling at her enough to make it one of her dislikes is at least something in terms of actual evidence#damn it I put a paragraph in the tags again I’m sorry gang I’m not moving it#ddlc#doki doki literature club#tempestmothtalk

My purpose and singular mission in life is to make sure queer and/or neurodivergent kids know that sometimes it really is their parents who are stupid and other adults are on their side. This, unfortunately, does not make me popular with their parents. Gonnae keep doing it though.
#kid was very overwhelmed by the theatre environment and panicking and didnt want to see the show cause it looked scary#and the mum was trying to get me to tell the kid its not scary (no i dont lie to kids i told her there are lots of funny bits but a couple#of maybe scary bits too)#and I told her hey listen the bravest thing you can do is tell people you arent comfortable somewhere. youve done so well to do that#and i gave her a program so she can learn more and make an informed decision if she wants to come another time#and i asked her what her favourite things are and she said science and animals and i told her to try the museum its super fun#and her mum was all 'ugh shes a nightmare she's ~on the spectrum~'#and i went yeah me too. and told the kid this isnt for everyone and she did well to tell me and i hope she likes the museum#and like. her mum yelling at her was making everything worse. talking to her like a person with agency?#got her from full panic attack to actively smiling at me in under 5 minutes#sometimes your parents or guardians are in fact being stupid or rude! neurodivergent adults exist! other people see you and hear what you're#saying and won't be mad!#anyway. now IM very overwhelmed but i really hope that kid remembers this and i hope she has a great day#im going to get a coffee and sit under a tree for a while

So I finally convinced my mom to give Young Royals a try.
A few minutes ago she calls me, all emotional and asks me how much longer that poor boy will have to suffer.
"Well, it is a drama," I say, "But it's well worth it for its beauty and depth and there are many lovely moments. I promise there will be a happy ending."
"But it's so sad!" she says.
"Well, how far did you get?" I ask, so I know how to best reassure her and also I'd love to talk about some of the scenes, especially the tough ones.
"Well, he and his brother just arrived at the boarding school a few minutes ago and now the choir is about to sing."

In other news, mission make mom2 go on an excursion to ABBA The Museum to conduct some research for The Upgrade: Museum Drift was a complete success.
She took a high school friend who she only recently reconnected with and had a blast, and in turn I got minute by minute updates of them reliving their teenage years during peak ABBA times in more detail than I might have wanted, but I also got all the pics and now have a good idea of how I want Wilmon's date at the museum to look and go like, so yay.

Today has been one of those "Sorry! I couldn't hear you over the texture of my socks" days.
#autistic#actually autistic#audhd#it's so embarrassing!!!#like yes i care and yes i was listening but also no i have no idea what you just said#getting diagnosed gave me permission to admit what's REALLY wrong and also do shit outside social norms to make it suck less#but it also makes me look “weird” to non autistic people (and past me who wasn't diagnosed til my 30s)#I can remember past me saying that I couldn't be autistic because I don't do [thing] (I was powering through and suffering)#It's like... I have a mild allergy to a couple foods but didn't know for YEARS so I'd eat whatever and either suffer or take benadryl#then well into adulthood one of my friends was listening and was like DUDE YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO THAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!???#doctor had me change my diet DRASTICALLY but the constant itchiness and sore throat and stomach pain went away#but sometimes people act weird or put out when I ask questions or refuse food#sometimes people lie and say a food is safe when it's SUPER not and then I'm having an allergic reaction on the way home#my body is permanently damaged because of decades of trying to eat like everybody else#meanwhile my mental health took that hit from decades of trying to ACT like everybody else#I'm sooo much happier now with my safe foods and silly fidgets and good textures AND I can live an active life!#but sometimes people give me funny looks when I ask for the grill to be cleaned or don't like a new shirt because it makes me anxious#hell the other day a dude gave me a weird look (and I overheard shit they said) because I HAPPY STIMMED at Hot Topic (Hazbin merch)#meanwhile my friends love my stimming because its the “Jamie barometer”#my (best friend's) mom says the biggest compliment to her cooking is when she can hear me foot tapping under the table#so... yeah#a diagnosis is permission to be me and have a better life at the cost of dealing with assholes because I'm not masking or lying anymore#bluewind talks#holy journal entry batman!#did NOT intend the tags to turn into... whatever the fuck this is XD#but if for some reason you read this far? Phoenix being a little spiritually sensitive is so special to me, yes he can hear and kind of see Mia without the aid of a medium sometimes, that is Not Normal! In the third game’s epilogue it’s mentioned that he goes through some spirit medium training with Maya and Pearl, I think it’s mostly to symbolize that he’s practically a Fey now but I also think that something spooky should’ve happened.
Also using the magatama so much should affect him a little, just for funsies.
