You can tell I'm a weirdo worldbuilder because one of my favorite parts of Junior Year (the Fantasy High season, not actual junior year, that was my personal hell) was learning about how the Adventuring Academy actually worked

Like, in the first season, it was all high school movie tropes, and we rarely ever saw the Bad Kids actually attend class. The most we got from the academic side of things was, well, Porter and Jace, as well as the list of staff towards the end of the season. And Sophomore Year was about a long-scale, actual school-sanctioned quest, meant to flesh out the greater world of Spyre.

But my god, every time we learned a new teacher's name, every time we learned how the academic structure worked, and every time the downtime mechanics came into play, I was on the edge of my seat

Last movie I watched: well, I watched My Neighbor Totoro (banger) with the kids today, and How to Train Your Dragon with them on Saturday (also a banger); last adult movie was The Big Sick (still excellent); last NEW movie was The Outrun (Saoirse Ronan's face is the eighth wonder of the world)

Currently reading: re-reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virgina Woolf and A Hat Full Of Sky by Terry Pratchett concurrently because there is something deeply wrong with me

Sweet/savory/spicy: sweet > spicy > savory, but I am big on all three

Last thing I googled: "movies near me" (want to catch up on new movies during my week off!)

Current obsessions: F1 (duh), award season, blackpink members' solo careers, trying not to go insane with *gestures at the world*

Currently working on: vaguely noodling on some fic ideas, vaguely noodling on xmas presents, have been assigned cake duties for nibling's third birthday on thursday so trying to figure out how to make a cute train-themed cake

Ivan's whole deal of wanting to understand and befriend the Wagyein because he's able to see himself in the creature is basically Ivan pulling this univeres's equivelant of How to Train Your Dragon, and that movie is pretty much just a horse-girl movie but with giant lizards.

Leon deserved SO MANY MORE major movie roles just by being beautiful and bitchy like . His 50 cent movie cameo was so fucking funny.. TY FOR SAYING THIS. GENUINELY. I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE LOVES THESE MOVIES TOO. The characters are hilarious and tragic and I am. Infatuated with them all. They all have their lil moments to solidify them as real or to reflect them being real and it's just. Mwah.

i was in english today and i thought i was going to die (social anxiety was hitting hard) and to make matters worse were looking at a project someone did where they made the theme alice in wonderland (with like screenshots from the dis movie n stuff) and my teacher says, “uhh, it think she did like a princess theme?” and a few people tell him no its alice in wonderland and he says, “…isnt that just a princess movie?”
