Jack Burnley style study

I really struggle drawing Superman/Clark Kent so I thought I’d look at how my favourite artists draw him. Jack Burnley revolutionized Golden Age Superman comics with his clear, detailed, and beautiful art. He only did a few issues, but they are really great and one of my favourite versions of Clark and Lois.

My favourite of his panels (and my lineart):

For context, the main other artist at the time was Joe Shuster. Who, while being an iconic artist in his own right, had a more simplistic and muddied style:
