Existential crisis time weeeeeeee

I cannot fathom the idea that we exist in an entirely random universe completely by chance and thus will eventually die out as a species (even if we managed to survive away from earth the universe would eventually collapse as per the theories involving the big bang methinks) because that would mean, everything we as humans have learnt about this universe (from supernovas to dna to how to make a real tasty pie) will just be lost.

All the art we’ve created, all the stories we’ve told, gone just like that. I have a hard enough time grasping the idea that history and knowledge from thousands of years ago has been lost, that webpages and videos from 20 years ago are gone.

The way we as humans live to create feels suspicious to me. We are so obsessed with it; the vast majority of us spend so much time either creating or absorbing things others have created; humans are so obsessed with music and movies and books and pictures and fashion and jokes. Creation is something special i think.

Anyways, i think about the existence of the universe and humans and death far too often while trying to sleep and i think we must be more important than a tiny blip in the lifetime of a random universe.
