To celebrate/mourn the end of blake's 7: my only knowledge of it comes from your liveblogging so for the first solid month of posts i thought it was a very grounded, realistic military show until you said something about them swapping bodies or melting into goo or something. very taken aback

that is so funny that u thought that. least grounded show ever with a variety of creatures and goos and taking over peoples body's with telepathy. the most ungrounded thing abt it is probably that by the end of the show there is neither a blake nor a 7 people in it (blake leaves the show halfway through and there hasn't been 7 people since the first half of season 1). even the original ship isn't there anymore. ship of theseus the show.

It's hard for me to pick just one story line/ep/gag from Curb with Richard Lewis that I could say is my absolute fave but the whole rectal bleeding ep is such a fave it's a whole thing in our house. I will miss Richard Lewis a lot :(

so they're retconning (at least here) artemis' whole wonder woman story line to loosing it over social media followers? for artemis to be taken away from wonder woman - (by the justice league even, the title is for themyscira/amazons/bana-mighdalls to take away - even at that! its diana's role!) - because she doesn't have as many followers as diana's is ludicris. people so easily loose and gain followers. its more of inaccurate metric of current opinion in the moment with people on that specific platform than the opinion of the whole world or 'everyone.'

i have never gone to kingdom hearts in my life. i tried to play kh1 at a friend's house and got as far as tarzan world before giving up. but when kh2 came out my mortal enemy brought the strategy guide to our high school lunch table to pass around. i flipped through it dismissively because i thought all the character designs were lame-- then i saw Lion King Sora. and i just fucking bluescreened for like six whole minutes. i don't know how to describe what i felt except pure, undiluted euphoria. someone asked me what was up and i was like "i dunno, i guess Lion King Sora looks cool." and then my mortal enemy smiled his toothiest evil smile and said "you're a fucking furry."

then i spent the next 13 years in denial despite vocally defending furries at every opportunity and only following furry artists and reading furry comics and fantasizing about getting turned into a funny animal person of the opposite gender ("no i'm NOt trans i'm NOT trans i'm not even GAY ok i just think it'd be hot SHUT UP").

unfortunately, my arch nemesis was right. i am a fucking furry, and it's Lion King Sora's fault.

Can we please just appreciate the parallels here between the Robin!Jason panels and Red Hood!Jason panels? They’re so raw and powerful.

The truthful internal dialogue Jason is having verse what’s he’s actually saying is a rich scene acknowledging the struggle Jason has with being honest about his emotions and feelings and how he covers up his emotions but being brusque and abrasive.

Also, that second panel having the predominant statement “before he gets me” with the young, hurt Robin!Jason instead of Red Hood is so strong as it speaks honestly about where Jason’s head is in this moment—stuck in the past when Joker had him. He does not want to physically go back there and experience that again, but he is mentally despite everything.
