Finding Leaders, Building Futures: The Role of Executive Recruitment
In today's competitive business landscape, the success of any organisation hinges significantly on its leadership. Effective leaders not only steer companies through challenges but also inspire innovation and drive growth.
Consequently, the process of selecting these leaders becomes pivotal—a task often entrusted to Executive Recruitment in Melbourne firms. Here, we explore the critical role these firms play in shaping organisational futures and the methodologies they employ to identify and secure top-tier talent.
Understanding the Need for Strategic Leadership
Leadership within an organisation is akin to the captain of a ship navigating through turbulent waters. Their decisions influence everything from corporate strategy to organisational culture. In times of crisis or during periods of growth, capable leaders provide stability and vision.
Therefore, businesses recognise the need to invest in finding executives who not only possess the requisite skills but also align with the company's values and long-term objectives.
The Evolution of Executive Recruitment
Executive recruitment has evolved significantly from its traditional roots of headhunting to a more nuanced and strategic process. Initially focused solely on filling vacant positions with qualified candidates, modern executive recruitment Melbourne now emphasises cultural fit, leadership potential, and diversity.
Recruitment firms leverage extensive networks, industry insights, and sophisticated assessment tools to identify individuals who not only meet the technical requirements but also bring a fresh perspective and innovation to the table.
The Role of Recruitment Firms in Talent Acquisition
Recruitment firms specialise in connecting organisations with top-tier executive talent across various industries. They act as intermediaries, understanding the unique needs of their clients and matching them with candidates who possess the right blend of experience, expertise, and leadership qualities.
https://pushmodels.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/1-1.png
These firms employ rigorous screening processes, including competency-based interviews, psychometric assessments, and reference checks, to ensure that candidates not only have the necessary skills but also fit seamlessly into the organisational culture.
Navigating Challenges in Executive Recruitment
Despite advancements in recruitment methodologies, finding suitable executive candidates remains a complex undertaking. The demand for skilled leaders often outstrips supply, leading to fierce competition among organisations vying for the same talent pool.
Moreover, cultural alignment and succession planning add layers of complexity, requiring recruitment firms to adopt a holistic approach to talent acquisition. By fostering long-term relationships with both clients and candidates, recruitment firms mitigate these challenges and facilitate smoother transitions into leadership roles.
The Impact on Organizational Success and Growth
The right executive hire can have a transformative impact on organisational success. Beyond fulfilling immediate leadership needs, effective executives drive innovation, foster collaboration, and instil a sense of purpose among employees.
Their strategic vision and ability to navigate uncertainty enable companies to capitalise on opportunities and adapt to evolving market dynamics. By investing in executive recruitment Melbourne, organisations not only secure their immediate future but also position themselves for sustainable growth and competitive advantage in the long term.
Conclusion
Executive recruitment is more than just filling vacant positions—it is about identifying leaders who can propel organisations forward in an increasingly complex global economy. By partnering with recruitment firms that understand their unique needs and challenges, businesses can cultivate a leadership pipeline that fosters innovation, drives growth, and ensures long-term success.
As we continue to navigate the ever-changing business landscape, the role of executive recruitment remains indispensable in finding leaders and building futures.

Collingwood fans can be great like the girl in front of us at Saturday's game who loved me and my friend's Taylor bracelets and told us how she went to Taylor twice in Melbourne and
But then Collingwood fans can also be awful and just downright assholes like the ones around us calling Ash Johnson a "dickhead" and saying he's had many opportunities and is always a dud and it was just awful to hear them talk like that???? Ash is coming back from a broken arm, he proved himself in many games prior to the broken arm and
And then Carlton fans on Friday night are only good and pure like the lady behind me who leaned forward and told me to raise my arms and cheer for Carlton WHILE MY GRANDAD ROLLS IN HIS GRAVE AT THE MERE THOUGHT OF ME EVEN BEING THERE

5 Ways You Can Transform Your Organisation With The Help Of Executive Search Services
Tumblr media
The business world is evolving faster than you can imagine. Now to stay resilient in such a dynamic world you need the best talents for your organization. We understand the job market and the employee landscape better than everyone and we will help you navigate the sea with ease and confidence. Take a closer look and see how your partnership with a recruitment agency in Australia will help you revolutionise your hiring process.
Saves money
There might be an upfront cost of hiring recruitment services, however, if you measure in terms of the total financial resources used during the entire hiring process and repeat that for every vacancy, you will realise the financial benefits of partnering with a recruitment firm. With an agency, you reduce costs, and in case you have a long-term partnership, then your future hiring costs would be even lower.
Faster hiring
If time is money, then recruitment agencies are saving both time and money for you. With a vast pool of candidates and a wide network, we can help you fill vacant positions in no time. You will source your dream candidate in almost half the time than the usual hiring process. At the same time, we will shorten your recruitment funnel saving you time on the number of interviews and screening through the resumes – resulting in faster hiring.
Best-fit candidates
Leveraging a recruitment agency in Australia increases your chances of hiring high-quality candidates for your positions. We have already screened and interviewed them, meaning that you get hand-picked and qualified people to fill your positions. Our experts already know the market scenarios and have deep expertise in your industry and operations. This helps map the ideal candidates for you in a short period of time.
Market knowledge
We interact with both the supply and demand side of the landscape – both candidates and organizations. This helps our recruiters build in-depth knowledge about the market and grasp it is changing dynamics. When you partner with us, you get to know about the salary expectations, relevant skill sets, career development expectations, and hiring challenges in your industry. This will help you prepare better and take caution against already identified challenges.
Passive candidates
Not all candidates are actively seeking jobs, especially those interested in C-suite or executive leadership. As part of your executive search, we tap into our pool of passive candidates and find the best match for your position. These positions might take longer time to fill in, but we say it’s worth the wait. You would prefer to wait for a while than select the wrong leader for your organization.
By now you have realised the benefits that a recruitment agency brings to your hiring process. We can act as an extended arm of your business. What sets us apart is that we spend time with our clients and understand their work culture and organisational nuances. This helps us to find the best fit – skills and cultural alignment at the same time. If you are looking for a human resource consulting service to revamp your hiring process, reach out to Peter Gleeson, Ian Stacy or Peter Tanner at (03) 9190 8904 or visit tannermenzies.net.au

But Juliet has a plan, sort of, one that’s going to help her figure out this whole “Puerto Rican lesbian” thing. Will Juliet be able to figure out her life over the course of one magical summer? Is that even possible? Or is she running away from all the problems that seem too big to handle? With more questions than answers, Juliet takes on Portland, Harlowe, and most importantly, herself.
Winner of 2017 Silver IPPY Award for best LGBTQ Fiction, selected by the ALA for the Amelia Bloomer List in 2017
The Prince and the Coyote by David Bowles, illustrated by Amanda Mijangos*
Fifteen-year old crown prince Acolmiztli wants nothing more than to see his city-state of Tetzcoco thrive. A singer, poet, and burgeoning philosophical mind, he has big plans about infrastructure projects and cultural initiatives that will bring honor to his family and help his people flourish. But the two sides of his family, the kingdoms of Mexico and Acolhuacan, have been at war his entire life – after his father risked the wrath of the Tepanec emperor to win his mother’s love. When a power struggle leaves his father dead and his mother and siblings in exile, Acolmiztli must run for his life, seeking refuge in the wilderness. After a coyote helps him find his way in the wild, he takes on a new name – Nezahualcoyotl, or “fasting coyote” (“Neza” for short). Biding his time until he can form new alliances and reconnect with his family, Neza goes undercover, and falls in love with a commoner girl, Sekalli. Can Neza survive his plotting uncles’ scheme to wipe out his line for good? Will the empire he dreams of in Tetzcoco ever come to life? And is he willing to risk the lives of those he loves in the process? This action-packed tale blends prose and poetry – including translations of surviving poems by Nezahualcoytl himself, translated from classical Nahuatl by the author. And the book is packed with queer rep: queer love stories, and a thoughtful exploration of pre-columbian understandings of gender that defy the contemporary Western gender binary.
Pura Belpré honoree, Kirkus Best of the Year, Bookpage top 10 Book of 2023

The House of Impossible Beauties by Joseph Cassara
It’s 1980 in New York City, and nowhere is the city’s glamour and energy better reflected than in the burgeoning Harlem ball scene, where seventeen-year-old Angel first comes into her own. Burned by her traumatic past, Angel is new to the drag world, new to ball culture, and has a yearning inside of her to help create family for those without. When she falls in love with Hector, a beautiful young man who dreams of becoming a professional dancer, the two decide to form the House of Xtravaganza, the first-ever all-Latino house in the Harlem ball circuit. But when Hector dies of AIDS-related complications, Angel must bear the responsibility of tending to their house alone. As mother of the house, Angel recruits Venus, a whip-fast trans girl who dreams of finding a rich man to take care of her; Juanito, a quiet boy who loves fabrics and design; and Daniel, a butch queen who accidentally saves Venus’s life. The Xtravaganzas must learn to navigate sex work, addiction, and persistent abuse, leaning on each other as bulwarks against a world that resists them. All are ambitious, resilient, and determined to control their own fates, even as they hurtle toward devastating consequences.
Born Both: An Intersex Life by Hida Viloria
My name is Hida Viloria. I was raised as a girl but discovered at a young age that my body looked different. Having endured an often turbulent home life as a kid, there were many times when I felt scared and alone, especially given my attraction to girls. But unlike most people in the first world who are born intersex–meaning they have genitals, reproductive organs, hormones, and/or chromosomal patterns that do not fit standard definitions of male or female–I grew up in the body I was born with because my parents did not have my sex characteristics surgically altered at birth. It wasn’t until I was twenty-six and encountered the term intersex in a San Francisco newspaper that I finally had a name for my difference. That’s when I began to explore what it means to live in the space between genders–to be both and neither. I tried living as a feminine woman, an androgynous person, and even for a brief period of time as a man. Good friends would not recognize me, and gay men would hit on me. My gender fluidity was exciting, and in many ways freeing–but it could also be isolating. I had to know if there were other intersex people like me, but when I finally found an intersex community to connect with I was shocked, and then deeply upset, to learn that most of the people I met had been scarred, both physically and psychologically, by infant surgeries and hormone treatments meant to “correct” their bodies. Realizing that the invisibility of intersex people in society facilitated these practices, I made it my mission to bring an end to it–and became one of the first people to voluntarily come out as intersex at a national and then international level. Born Both is the story of my lifelong journey toward finding love and embracing my authentic identity in a world that insists on categorizing people into either/or, and of my decades-long fight for human rights and equality for intersex people everywhere.
Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
In Her Body and Other Parties, Carmen Maria Machado blithely demolishes the arbitrary borders between psychological realism and science fiction, comedy and horror, fantasy and fabulism. While her work has earned her comparisons to Karen Russell and Kelly Link, she has a voice that is all her own. In this electric and provocative debut, Machado bends genre to shape startling narratives that map the realities of women’s lives and the violence visited upon their bodies. A wife refuses her husband’s entreaties to remove the green ribbon from around her neck. A woman recounts her sexual encounters as a plague slowly consumes humanity. A salesclerk in a mall makes a horrifying discovery within the seams of the store’s prom dresses. One woman’s surgery-induced weight loss results in an unwanted houseguest. And in the bravura novella “Especially Heinous,” Machado reimagines every episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a show we naively assumed had shown it all, generating a phantasmagoric police procedural full of doppelgängers, ghosts, and girls-with-bells-for-eyes.
Finalist for the 2017 National Book Award for Fiction, Winner of the National Book Critics Circle's 2017 John Leonard Prize, Winner of the 2017 Bard Fiction Prize, Finalist for the 2017 Kirkus Prize, Finalist for the 2017 PEN/Robert Bingham Award

ooh, I'll ask - what's your headcanon for Australia, New Zealand, and Polynesia??
Tumblr media
Thank you for asking! This was a fun exercise to get down in a doc and out of my head.
I think everyone knows that I’m Australian by now.  So yeah, it’s particularly entertaining for me to imagine how things might be in the TLOUinverse on my side of the pond for a change.
Many Polynesian nations escaped Cordyceps completely – Tonga, Tokelau, Kiribati and the Cook Islands amongst these.  They closed their borders and were essentially remote enough to be able to protect themselves from the first wave.  However, that didn’t mean they had an easy time of it.  Many of these nations rely on imports and with those grinding to a complete halt, they struggled in other ways to survive.  Some of these nations also had unwelcome visitors in the form of refugees from other countries trying to fly or boat in.  Most of these brought in sick people.   Some of the nations formed methods of screening refugees who made it to their shores, others rejected them completely, and some nations fell apart over the ensuing years, unable to support so many people.
The North Island of New Zealand was completely overrun.  The South Island had a bad few years, but pockets of it were able to resist, and within a few years they were able to rally and take the island back.  They were mostly in control by 2005 – they were not fucking around – and Cordyceps-free by 2008.  The nation officially reverted back to its name in the Maori language,  Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu (but most just called it Aotearoa).
It was many years before they conquered the North Island, and then there were several years of warfare to fully secure it.  The haka performed before the Battle of Auckland (which was one of their final victories over Cordyceps in 2015) was renowned the world over – the Kiwis documented much of their war on film, and these were distributed to survivors across the globe.  These were often credited as inspiring a new generation of survivors not to endure and survive, but to fight.
Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu maintained contact with Australia throughout the war, but the situations in the two nations were very different.  The densely populated centres of Australia were decimated.  This is essentially all down the east coast from Brisbane, to Sydney, right down to Melbourne in the south.  Darwin, right in the top end, was also destroyed, but this was mainly from refugees fleeing other nations.  But Australia is a big, varied place, and not all was lost.
Many of the islands and remote towns around the country were able to find ways to survive.  And the largest island, Tasmania, proved to be a haven.  While its population centres were initially overrun like the rest of the continent, the army concentrated its efforts on eradicating Cordyceps in Tasmania first.  There were three major offensives before they got the tactics right and were able to declare the state Cordyceps-free.  The Government relocated here, but it was not the only success story.
Perth did okay.  This is probably because the Infected, much like everyone else in Australia, thought it was too expensive and far away to bother with.  Perth was the site of the first Quarantine Zone in Australia.  Australia had a number of these over time but they were very different to the North American QZs.  Australia’s tended to be constructed in remote areas, not large cities (with the exception of Perth).  They each supported some kind of industry to try and keep civilisation humming along.  These were not perfect, but most were successful.
The one in Port Hedlund said “fuck you cunts,” to the rest of the country and declared itself independent.  The army didn’t much like that and it was dealt with pretty quickly.  Wagga Wagga, with its RAAF and army training bases, was established not long after Perth and continued recruit training at Kapooka and Forest Hill.  But some of the most successful survival stories came not from those within Australian Quarantine Zones.
Many Indigenous Australians, especially those in remote areas towards the centre, returned to country.  Some of their camps and communities were overrun like everywhere else, but a lot survived.  Some communities adapted so well that their lives were almost uninterrupted.
(It's difficult to explain the scale of Australia, and just how remote some Indigenous communities are, and how far they are from anything else. Suffice to say, there are people who know how to live on country in Australia in a way most of us cannot comprehend, and there are families and tribes that really could weather Cordyceps out - especially those towards the centre of Australia, where the conditions are dry and wholly unsuitable for a mushroom-based infection).
But the QZs kept in contact with one another and most importantly, with Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu.  Trade recommenced between Tasmania and the South Island once both these zones were fully secure, and over time, links were reforged with other smaller nations in the region.  The South Pacific Alliance was formed. By 2023, there was a good deal of cooperation – except for Perth, who also decided the rest of us could get fucked, and declared themselves as the Independent Nation of Perth or some crap.  Nobody was really listening, they’re pretty far away and no one wanted to go there anyway so it was like okay good luck bye.
… I don’t really have beef with Perth.  I’m sure it’s lovely. Anyway, thanks for the question! I'm not sure how plausible all of my theories are, but it's fun to consider.

Announcing: The Contributors to Our Next Anthology, Aether Beyond the Binary
Duck Prints Press’s next anthology, slated for crowdfunding during the fall of 2023, is Aether Beyond the Binary. This innovative and unique collection includes 20 stories featuring characters outside the binary exploring modern-ish Earth aetherpunk settings where the technology is fueled by magical aether. Stories range from fluffy to dark (but we guarantee happy endings!), in settings where aether was just discovered and those where it’s been known about for centuries.
What is aetherpunk? Imagine a world where there’s technology not unlike what we have in the modern world, except that instead of that technology operating using the principals that we, now, would call “science,” that technology operates using magic! That’s aetherpunk—the awesome union of technology and complex magical systems in magic-suffused worlds to produce unique settings that resemble modern-day Earth but are also very, very different. With aetherpunk stories, the impossible becomes possible, and new solutions to the world’s problems become available!
We’ve been hard at work on this anthology since February, and currently the stories are being edited to polish them up.
For this collection, we recruited 20 authors – 9 who’ve written for Duck Prints Press before and 11 who haven’t. We’re thrilled to have some folks returning from our earliest anthology Add Magic to Taste, and we also have some work-with-the-Press-but-this-is-their-first-anthology contributors. It’s a really wonderful group of people, and getting to know them all has been a lovely part of working on this collection. And – the stories are g.r.e.a.t. You’re not gonna want to miss this one.
And now for the fun part…

She writes and produces fringe theatre plays based on B-movies, such as Bodacious Barbarian Babes vs. The Indigo Empress and Showgirls of Beast Island. She is a co-producer of the Alison-Bechdel-approved Bechdel Test Burlesque, which in 2017 was included in the Women and Gender Studies curriculum at the University of Oregon. She lives in Seattle with her wife where she gardens, knits, reads, and drinks warm beverages. Unsurprisingly, she also has cats.

Rhosyn Goodfellow
Rhosyn Goodfellow is an author of queer romance and speculative fiction living with her spouse and two dogs in the Pacific Northwest, where she is sad to report that she has not yet mysteriously disappeared or encountered any cryptids. Her hobbies include spoiling the aforementioned dogs, drinking inadvisable amounts of coffee, and running unreasonably long distances very slowly. She’s secretly just a collection of loosely-related stories dressed up in a meat suit.

Catherine E. Green
Catherine E. Green (pronouns: xe/xem/xyr or they/them/their) is an agender person, one who’s had an on-again, off-again love affair with writing. Xe began writing when xe was a wee thing, when xyr other major pastimes were playing xyr mother’s NES and roughhousing with the boys next door. It’s only in the past few years that they have begun writing consistently and publishing their writing, fanfiction and original writing alike, leading to their first published short story titled “Of Loops and Weaves.”
Outside of writing, xe is a collector of books and sleep debt and an avid admirer of the cosmos. Playing video games, reading a variety of fiction genres (primarily fantasy, queer romance, and manga and graphic novels of all kinds), and working on wrangling their own personal data archiving projects occupy most of their free time. Xe has also started meeting up with a local fiber arts group and is excited to be crocheting xyr first scarf.

Elior Haley
Elior has spent much of the past few years primarily writing for fanfic exchanges. Currently, he’s in the process of slowly working his way through university. When not writing or studying, he can be found binding books, drawing, ice skating, and—very occasionally—playing the violin. His story in Aether Beyond the Binary is his first published work.

Zel Howland

ilgaksu
Full-time fandom cryptid, Furby enthusiast, and the human embodiment of that one gif of Elmo on fire, ilgaksu was born and raised in an undisclosed location, living in several others, and now currently residing in [REDACTED]. Their interests include collecting haunted toys, using their artistic practice as an excuse to forget to do their laundry, and playing with fictional men like Bratz dolls. They have not unclenched their jaw yet today, but they do remember to drink lots of water.
-
Bettina Juszak
Originally from Germany, Bettina has (so far) spent time in the US, the UK, and Canada. She is particularly interested in exploring questions of music and language in imaginary worlds, aided by degrees in linguistics and literature. When not writing, she loses herself in hobbies such as archery, cross-stitch, attempting to learn yet another language, and complaining about the amount of space her book and notebook collection takes up. Her first published work appeared in the Upon a Twice Time anthology published by Air and Nothingness Press, and she is working on a second original novel – despite the first one not having seen the light of day yet.

Nicola Kapron
Nicola Kapron has previously been published by Neo-opsis Science Fiction Magazine, Rebel Mountain Press, Soteira Press, All Worlds Wayfarer, Mannison Press, and more. Nicola lives in British Columbia with a hoard of books—mostly fantasy and horror—and an extremely fluffy cat.

Kelas Lloyd
Kelas is a disabled, trans, bi author and artist currently (unfortunately) living in Texas. They graduated from the University of Central Florida with an English degree and love cats, tea, and all things speculative fiction. A lot of their writing features magic or disability or both, and they’re often found in Star Trek, Mass Effect, Babylon 5, and Untamed spaces. You can also find them in a lot of bead and resin spaces, because they love making sparkly jewelry of all sorts.
Previously published pieces include an article on disability in The Last Of Us, short stories in two publications by Shacklebound Books, a pair of poems about being trans, an essay on disabled life, and a whole bunch of pieces about San Diego Comic-con. They’re single, an Ernie looking for their Bert, but they have a found family that stretches around the globe and some of their birth family accepts them for who they are.
You can find out more about them at kelaslloyd.com.

Mikki Madison has been writing stories since she was seven years old. While she is most prolific in fanfiction and has works scattered among more than a dozen fandoms, she has been making strides into original fiction. Her favorite genres to read are romance, fantasy, and cozy mysteries.
When she isn’t reading, writing, or falling headfirst into a new fandom, she can be found baking, doing puzzles, walking her foster dog, doting on her niblings, or playing Pokemon Go. She has also written under the name M.K. Mads.

Sebastian Marie
Sebastian Marie (he/him) is an engineering student with a lot of opinions about dragons, pirates, and sword fighting. Track him down on Ao3 or Tumblr and he’ll share these opinions gladly, just be prepared for music and some excited shouting. His original works often combine fantasy and dystopia into what he calls “queer fantasy hopepunk,” something that will be explored in his future novels. He loves to write conflicting traditional and non-traditional family dynamics, especially where they intersect with queer relationships. And if he can throw werewolves and brujas into the mix? So much the better. When not writing, frantically studying, or reading, he can be found singing loudly, sewing impractical coats, and going on long rambling walks while plotting stories (and occasionally falling into rivers).
Also, he’s also the guitarist and one of the lyricists of folk punk band Here Be Dragons, who hope to have their debut EP out near the end of Fall, 2023.
This is his third time writing for Duck Prints Press, having previously contributed to Aim For the Heart and She Wears the Midnight Crown. This brings his grand total of published works up to three! He’s looking forward to more, as soon as he gets some sleep.

Flore Picard
I’m a linguist and translator who lives in France and I have been itching to write since I learned how to. I started writing (fan)fiction more regularly when I was procrastinating on my PhD dissertation, and I haven’t looked back since. I’m also an artist who loves drawing both fanart and original art, and I have a passion for patterns and systems, for the beauty at the edge of chaos and the complexity of being human. I tend to write about queer and disabled characters finding themselves and each other and learning to take up space in the world.

S. J. Ralston
S. J. grew up in a distinctly weird, distinctly southern hometown, then hied out West for grad school before landing in Texas, where they currently work as a planetary scientist. They’ve been writing original works and fanfiction since they could hold a pencil semi-correctly, and continue to write both whenever possible (as well as still holding a pencil only semi-correctly). In their clearly copious spare time, S. J. enjoys hiking, tabletop RPGs, jigsaw puzzles, and enthusiastically crappy sci-fi.

Em Rowntree
Em Rowntree’s first foray into the world of writing was with a story called The Magic Land that featured a unicorn and a flying carpet the size of a country, and they’ve been chasing that high ever since. They’ve been sharing their writing online for almost seven years, and have had poems and short stories published in anthologies. They live in the UK.

Terra P. Waters
Terra is a scientist by day who lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family. She has been writing fiction as long as she can remember, and has always told her partner of 17 years that if she wasn’t a scientist, she would be an author. During grad school, she discovered fanfiction and immediately began writing her own. After many years and several fandoms (including Teen Wolf, Hawaii Five-0, and Stranger Things), she returned to writing original fiction. To date, she has self-published two novellas in a 90s-nostalgia polyamory comedy series and has drafted two YA/NA sci-fi novels. When not doing science or writing, you can find Terra indulging her yarn addiction and knitting.

Birthday: July 9 1988
Zodiac Sign: Cancer
Height: 170 cm (5'7")
Blood type: O+
MBTI: INTP
Representative animal: 🐱(I don't really remember if it is used to represent Lee Know as well, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Unit: DanceRacha, 3Racha(Don't really think it'd be 3 anymore tho-)
Facts about Sri
He was born in Brisbane, Australia
Has a younger sister who's 5 years younger than him
Came to Korea to train when he was 18
He had very little training in dance (the training being the dance classes he had joined when he was 7/8 years old for a few months) before he was recruited
Although He had been learning Carnatic music ever since he was 3, he stopped learning at the age of 14 (so about 11 years of experience)
He auditioned to be an idol out of spite for his dad
He had been doing his bachelor's degree and masters in architecture while being an idol as he 'wanted to have a back-up plan just in case'
He has a mole on his right cheekbone
He was a trainee for about 2 years
Nicknames given by STAY: Chan's wife, Nicknames given by the members: Eomma, Venki
He treats English as his first language. He can speak Japanese fluently, Tamil (his mother tongue), and Hindi to a decent extent. He can also speak French and Mandarin but no one really knows that he can speak those two languages
He can draw and paint quite well when given a reference but he says he lacks the creative skills to just visualise something and draw it
As per the members, he has quite a laid-back personality and is a comfort figure to all of them. They also say that he's quite good at giving advice even if he hadn't been in the situation himself
As per Chan, Sri struggles to express his emotions as he fears that he'd be burdening others by telling them about his struggles. And even if Sri does express his emotions, he struggles to frame and tell others about how exactly he feels about something
He has double-jointed thumbs and elbows
He has a driver's license and enjoys going on long drives with his members
When he isn't driving, you can always spot him wearing his headphones and gazing out the window
His favourite season is Spring and he loves rainy and stormy weather
He actually is a vegetarian and does not eat any type of meat
He is extremely introverted when it comes to social interactions with people he doesn't know quite well but is also one of the most upbeat when around the members, kinda like another member Han
He has very strong opinions and will not hesitate to express them. This trait of his has gotten him into quite a few scandals
His favourite colour is purple
He doesn't really have a favourite food, he will enjoy anything that is mentioned to be spicy but he actively avoids most fruit, his least favourite being strawberries and any kind of melon except watermelon
He prefers producing songs rather than songwriting
He has a pet dog named Cosmo back in Australia and also owns two cats in Korea, named Blossom and Buttercup, Blossom is a ginger cat and Buttercup is a black cat
As per the members and STAY, Sri is a caring person, prepared for almost any situation that comes his way. He seems to always put the members before his own needs. In the first one Kid's Room, he said that if given a choice to protect either himself or his loved ones, he'd always pick to protect his loved ones as he'd rather not live than imagine living a life without his loved ones
He is the typical 'mom friend', always having something or the other in his bag for any situation, earning his nickname 'Eomma'. You're hungry? Sri has a snack bar in his backpack. You got hurt? He's got a first-aid kit somewhere in his bag, You need anything ranging from a charger to a makeup product? Sri's always got something in his bag
He loves dad jokes and puns
He lives true to his MBTI, trying to see logic even when it isn't required.
He shares his dorm with Chan and I.N
He is SKZ's handyman being able to fix most things that the others break. That being said, he is the one who ends up breaking most things due to his clumsy ass
He tends to seem quite calm under pressure although he most probably is panicking internally
He is a major perfectionist and will redo his autograph multiple times during fan meetings and signings, just so that it's 'perfect'
Although Sri would much rather cook and bake alone as doing it alone gets him in his 'zone', he enjoys baking and cooking with Felix and Minho as well
He often tricks the other members into eating vegetarian food and then just lets them guess the 'meat' that was in the dish when in reality it's either cauliflower or some form of soy. He does this just to prove a point to them as most of them have this general notion that vegetarian food is bland
He often goes to the gym alongside Chan and Changbin
He usually helps Chan with leading the members on days when Chan is too exhausted to do it himself
He is friends with Hongjoong, San, and Mingi from ATEEZ
He is often seen hanging out with Yeji and Ryujin from ITZY
He is also friends with Yeonjun from TXT
