If this bill passes, the Secretary of the Treasury would have the power to strip any non-profit group of it's tax-exempt status with no due process.

It's becoming exceedingly clear to me that the structure of Veilguard was compromised by the pivot away from live service. And I do empathize with the devs for trying to salvage what they could. In that vein, for all the problems I have with their writing and presentation, the companions, by and large, I found charming. I commend them for this.

And yet, nobody made them treat every conversation in act one as hardly anything more than a vehicle for exposition. Nobody made them write Bellara explaining what a damn dock is when you rock up to D'Meta's Crossing. Nobody made them introduce the Veil Jumpers, a supposedly major faction, in the most amateur way I've ever seen from a AAA rpg.

The things that disappoint me the most in this game are 100% self-inflicted. I've seen speculation that the turbulent dev cycle left little time for them to write anything but a 1st draft. It troubles me to think that any writer who does so for a living would even include such omnipresent, dry, and character agnostic exposition in even a rough draft. It drives me insane (the proof is that I created this blog, surely the greatest crime to come as a consequence of Dragon Age: The Veilguard).

this is project 2025, trump's plan for what he'll do if elected. whatever you think is in there, it's worse. watch a breakdown of the highlights here. this man wants to unravel the fabric of our democracy for good - this all aside from his vitriolic hatred of poc, his determination to start ww3, and the fact that he can't string a sentence together without telling outrageous and easily verifiable lies. his administration will start their crusade to exterminate trans people on day one, and they won't stop there.

do not talk to me about how joe biden is old, as if that could ever matter to me more than my life or the lives of my friends and family. my little sister is 14, she's trans, and i don't know what to tell her when we talk about politics, because one of these people wants her dead and the other one is old and some of you are still acting like those problems are equals.

i can't fucking stand this. i'm not hearing it this time, we are not repeating 2016. refusing to vote is not an act of protest, it is an act of complacency, and our most vulnerable will suffer for your negligence. vote like your life depends on it, because for some of us, it really fucking does.

Literally where are the good Dick and Jason fics? Like where Dick is actually a normal person who is complicated and imperfect with a temper and a self-righteous streak? Where Jason is also complicated and angry and imperfect and self-righteous? And they butt heads because of it? Because at the end of the day they don't actually know each other. They never actually spent much time together before Jason died. So all they have is this idea of the other person, and they struggle to reconcile that with the people they actually are. But they do. It might take a bit and it might be a struggle, but in the end they come out the other side figuring out what family and brotherhood means to them now. Where are the fics like that?
