Do I talk a little too much about a show that ended over 13 years ago? Yes. Yes, I do..

It helps me cope with the sad black hole that is 2024, sucking away all creativity and joy until there's nothing left but misery.

...Anyway, Rumple and Belle are still so cute, and this blog is the only place I can talk about them without sounding like a weirdo (which I probably am).

It actually meant so much to me to see the original Mina/Jonathan dynamic honoured in Nosferatu (2024). The way they loved each other so much, did everything for the other, clung to each other in the face of the Count's individual assaults upon them...I'm so used to seeing adaptations take this actually really great couple and tossing them into a blender for the sake of propping up the Count's character and his *not book accurate* relationship with Mina. I was so worried going into this movie I'd been hyping up since the beginning that it would fall into the same trap, and it soothed my fears immediately. The only straight couple ever in my eyes <3

while i do agree that saying rhaenyra’s inheritance is rightfully hers based on the fact that her daddy said so is incredibly weak and very much entitled of her (i can literally talk about this at length) it’s also a weak take to say she isn’t the rightful heir because of *checks notes* ah, misogyny. like, come on.

the way i wanna chew glass whenever i remember both theomedes and damen refused to hear anything negative about kastor…

i’m pretty sure when kastor “accidently” stabbed damen at thirteen, someone from theo’s circle (maybe nik’s dad? wouldn’t it be a wonderful parallel?) must have warned theo about kastor being dangerous for damen; just like nikandros (literally damen’s best friend since they were children) warned damen about kastor. and yet both of them refused to listen to these fair warnings and continued loving kastor unconditionally.

and kastor? he repaid their love with slowly poisoning his father and enslaving his brother to ship him to the heart of their greatest enemy.
