I just want to admit that I followed you for your absolutely poetic works and I adore your rambling about fictional men, but your updates on uni life is what keeps me engaged. You make feel like I'm watching a series where the main character keeps running into either every minor inconveniences known to mankind or scenarios that would kill me out of stress. I'm getting into uni soon and you have brightened me about every survival skill I might need there, and also how nightmarish it's gonna be and I have to thank you for that. anon i dont know what program you will be joining but im begging you read the textbooks diligently and focus on how well you can solve questions instead of how many. dont be like me and fall off after reading week please please please be diligent print out motivational sheets of capitano or alhaitham or ratio going "can you fucking stop" if you have to (i have pdfs of all three that i made)

i pray no one has to find out why dissimulation! childe is my favourite yan because that would mean they have accepted the bare minimum for peace (hot ginger for financial stability) and give no shits (forever cursed with either horrible bowel movements or lost all will to live or both)

also. if your professor says, "everything you need to learn in this course is on the slides. the textbook is optional but not at all needed," they're lying. the professor is lying. they're going to screw you all over in the final exam and it will be worse than rawdogging a grammar exam without knowing a past participle is.

Hellooooo! I’m working on a clangen blog of my own, so I’m going around asking my favorite clangen blogs some questions. I’m happy to get answers to whichever you feel like answering (or none at all if you don’t feel like it!)

What program and file size do you use?

If you use a font, what font is it?

How far ahead do you recommend playing?

Do you have any advice for layouts?

Do you have any tips for lighting/drawing fur?

NYELLO! 1. I use Procreate on Ipad! File size is pretty small because i feel more easygoing working small. it forces me not to worry too much about details. Dewclan comic pages come in 1200px wide and.. however tall the page calls for. 1200 DOESN'T SEEM SUPER TINY BUT!! when you think about adding in the speech bubbles and doing usually two panels per 'row', make space for the panels themselves, etc, you end up with only like.. 350/400px to work with. s'LIL 2. FONT is copperplate! 3. this entirely depends on you. if you wanna be able to plan ahead to connect some events, you gotta go a few moons ahead to know what to connect. but sometimes going moon by moon really keeps up your muse and excitement, because even YOU wonder what's gonna happen next. if you need to stay excited about something to keep up with it like ME, i recommend not going too far ahead. keep it Fresh 4. advice would be.. keep in mind/sketch out the placement for your characters AND their speech bubbles in their panels. i don't do this and it shows ALSDNKLSD. sometimes my speech bubbles are squARSHED, or sometimes i have to adjust the size of the font to make it fit. it's silly. PLAN AHEAD. otherwise i'm not so great at layouts and composition in that i don't have a lot of confidence in it, so i can't give much advice OGH 5. shade fur like you'd shade anything else! don't overthink it. but drawing fur can be done in a billion ways so that's a tough one to answer. in my clangen comic it's very simple, bc there's just the illusion of fur. YOU JUST.. ASSUME THERE IS FUR BC.. cats. but there isn't much definition really. sometimes i throw in a tuft or two bc for fun. outside of clangen, uHHHGH.. my fur rendering is sort of a mess. look at how your favourite artists do it! there's no one single way 6. unique cats.. play with shapes! cute round soft shapes, pointy angular shapes. play with the shapes of their ears, give em tufts or give them no tufts. think about silhouettes if you're not going with realism! if you figure out what makes a cat look like a cat enough, you can warp that anatomy and keep them looking cattish 7. i do backgrounds!! i dabble, i partake, in the backgrounds. BUT UAA advice is hard there too. what kind of bgs do you wanna do? :( I'M SORRY I NEED VERY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS I'ASKDNLK I'M EASILY CONFUSED. general advice is again, look at ones you like! think about what you like about the bgs you see and HAVE AT EM. do studies :3 8. Pinterest is good for references. at least it was last i checked before the big AI boom.. bc it'll recommend you similar things. tho i find the layout pretty disorienting. Hi! I don't mind answering some questions!

First things first, I'm not a professional storyboards artist. I've done a few things for some youtube channels. I wouldn't call myself an expert. This is to say that my method of doing things might not the best for people who actually work in the industry. 

Most of the time I work in Storyboard pro 7. But honestly, any editing software works as long as it can handle pictures and audio. For the disco elysium animatic I only used  clip studio paint and some random editing program called Camtasia. It worked alright but it takes a bit longer to finish stuff since storyboard pro is more streamlined. My go-to method right not is to draw the backgrounds in clip studio and the characters and editing in storyboard pro. That way, I get the best of both worlds. 

The funger animatic took about 2 and a half weeks to make. It usually takes longer, but the song wasn't that long so that saved me a lot of time. But as another example, my disco elysium animatic took +3 months. So it really depends. I did work longer on each frame for that one tho, so idk. On average, it takes me about 2 months. But that number keeps going up since my expectations of myself keep rising. 

Anyhow! I'll be bringing up my fear and hunger animatic as an example of my process. 

My animatics usually start out having the ugliest thumbnails known to man. It does let me experiment with framing and timing, which is absolutely crucial. I do not recommend that people start refining frames without having planned out things beforehand.

After that, I just save every thumbnail and import it to storyboard pro. I just scale it up to the current canvas size. Then I just line up every frame with the audio. It is a little bit tedious but you gotta do what you gotta do. 

After that, I begin to draw the backgrounds in clip studio. I do the same thing as in storyboard pro and just size the thumbnail up. And then I just sketch over that! Technically, I could have drawn the backgrounds in storyboard pro. But their brushes are pretty uggo so I prefer to not do that :)

As dumb as it might sound, it kind of stresses me out when my storyboards aren't "pretty". Which is pretty stupid since storyboards are literally made only to be a guide for what an animation should be. so in actuality, it's alright if they're kinda crusty. But since I never intend to animate my animatics I find it nice to spend more time on each frame. Which is sorta stupid because I'm shooting myself in the foot by working so long on every frame...

Either way, after that, I import the new backgrounds into storyboard pro and begin to draw the characters. Technically I could draw them in clip studio as well. But its faster to draw them in story board pro and it also allows me to do some semi-animated things and work faster. So, after a lot of experimenting, clip studio backgrounds and storyboard pro characters is the way to go for me! 

And just to note. This animatic might have only taken about 2 and a half weeks. Which sounds pretty good. But when it comes to animatics I can become a real workaholic if im inspired enough. So every day after school I would sit non stop working on this from the second I got home to when it was time to sleep. As well as every second of the weekend after I was done with my chores. So that is to say I work pretty fast and persistently, which i know is not healthy or realistic. So take my timing with a grain of salt. 

But that's kinda my process. I just draw backgrounds and draw characters until the thing is done. 

If I had to give any advice, I would say it's important to have fun when making animatics as a hobby. When I make an animatic, it's because I personally want to see that animatic, and if other people like it, that is a plus! If you're excited about an idea, it'll be a lot easier to add fun details and soul into it. 

But yeah that's it. I can't really come up with anything else to say. I hope I gave some good insight!

hi, ty for the ask! i’ve done many different extracurricular activities through the years. in high school i did dance, choir, ceramics, and i took elective classes in coding/ statistics. in college i’ve joined a book club, various accounting/ business organizations, honors program, research, and i take extra courses in interesting subjects like psychology and sociology. i’ve also worked part-time most of the time since i turned 16.

if you’re wanting to decide what kinds of extracurriculars to do, i’d say to try to make it a variety. and pick things that you are actually interested in doing and will be able to truly commit to. don’t spread yourself thin and don’t make yourself do anything you reeeally don’t want to do.

i try to have a mix of the following:

physical activities

a sport or exercise class is a great form of extracurricular activity because it keeps you active. depending on the activity it also develops your teamwork and collaborative skills. you can also build strong bonds amongst your teammates/ workout buddies. find something you truly enjoy & can see yourself committing the time to!

academic & career advancers

this can include clubs based on a field of study/ career path, academic/ business organizations, educational electives, practicing a relevant skill, and so on. these are useful if you’ve got a career path or field in mind and want to learn more about it. if it involves a group setting you can find like-minded people with the same goals. these types of programs also provide tools, resources, & guidance for success.

hobby/ fun

some of the most fulfilling extracurriculars may be something you just enjoy as a hobby. for me this was things like choir, ceramics, and other arts. i enjoy artistic stuff as a creative outlet to help relieve stress, and although i don’t want to be a professional singer or sculptor, i still highly benefited from those activities. they spark creativity and force you to use different parts of your brain.

money-making

i definitely consider having a job to be an extracurricular activity since it can go on your resume/ college applications/ etc. any job will help you build useful skills. if you’re in a position where you don’t need to work, i wouldn’t recommend getting a job tho, especially if you’re a student bc your time could be spent on your studies. i recommend seeking other extracurricular activities through your school instead if you have time.

Lots of pictures of each other are sent, mostly when they don’t know photos are being taken of them

The conversations range from someone asking what people want from the grocery store (Scott goes on grocery runs) to fierce debates over who’s the better fighter (It’s Nat, no one can beat her in sparring)

Tony will ask you and Peter if your homework is done (which you both annoyed, then Natasha yells at you)

It’s best to silence the notifications because they’re too, too much

Regular FaceTimes are a thing even though you’re usually all in the same tower

and to answer your question i’m going to warn you this is going to be kinda long because i’m gonna use this post as an excuse to show my 3D models that aren’t awful (sorry lol).

i actually use two different programs, both for different purposes, but you don’t need to get both, it really depends on which kind of modeling you want to do.

1) the first is called Nomad Sculpt on the iPad, you do have to pay for it unfortunately but it’s definitely one of the best modeling apps for the iPad. i know Blender is free but my computer is really old and doesn’t run the program very well, and at this point i’ve already gotten used to nomad sculpt.

anyway tho, i use it for art-related things like the obvious 3D models, but recently i’ve been playing around with just making scenes to use as references for my drawings. they’re not anything impressive, most of the time i actually use it to make little figurines to print and turn into earrings/little friends that sit in my room just for fun.

i’m gonna show this first bc they look cooler once they’re printed and colored (also you can tell i printed mini crowley and aziraphale when my sonadow hyperfixation started bc i never actually painted crowley) (he’s just kinda sitting there oops).

the little red guys are actually my favorite bugs (goliath beetles), i made them about a year ago but i still wear them like every day.

and here’s what they look like in the app, it’s a little intimidating but once you get used to it it’s actually kinda fun just playing around and seeing what you can do.

2) the second program i use is Shapr3D (also for the iPad, but i think they made an update where you can run it on windows/mac). you also have to pay for this as a subscription which sucks, i’m only able to use it since the engineering program i’m in pays for it.

Shapr3D is one of the many CAD software programs out there, but it’s nice bc it’s very beginner friendly and very easy to use. CAD is mainly for architecture/engineering but i honestly think more 3D artists should give it a try. it’s really nice once you get the hang of it and (i’m probably biased bc i’m a student) i honestly prefer it over just normal modeling software because i feel like you can be a lot more creative with it.

right now for my engineering class, our semester final is to design and present something that’s functional, and we can either explain the math behind it or just 3D print it and demonstrate how it works, and i’m making a functional mini model of “the rack” trap from Saw III (i’m not psychotic i swear i’ve just had a Saw hyperfixation for 5 years).

i’m definitely gonna post it when it’s finished just bc i’m already excited with how it’s turning out, but for now here’s a couple at-home projects i’ve done:

(above) i have a bunch of wet liners and i designed a stackable holder thingy with bolts between the shelves and a little cute star screw to fasten it at the top.

(above) i also made a few rotating brush holders at home (bc the ones that actually rotate are like $40 for some reason) by buying a set of small sphere bearings at home depot for like $5 (that’s what those little metal things are inside the third one, i took it apart bc i don’t know how to put a video and a picture in the same post) (just pretend they’re spinning rn).

just finished mgs2 and i have nowhere else to take my thoughts so i’ll just dump them hear for my little internet vacuum:

> the AI/simulation plot twist is really interesting but at the same time doesn’t feel like it was resolved in the best way? outside of the patriots being a typical shady organization controlling literally everything, the explanation the AI colonel gives about human mind control feels at least a tiny bit more unique that your typical 1984 premise and excuse…i only have to wonder the aftermath of raiden and rose’s relationship with such a huge rift torn between them through the course of this game (which feels like it goes largely unaddressed considering raiden basically proposes to her after their reunion?) i think his character has a lot of good potential and their connection could have undergone some kind slow burn rebuild to make it more satisfying (it’s not like i didn’t root for them sometimes! tho im aware they are actually quite toxic tho)

> i’m also thinking of the people on twitter engaging in discourse about whether mgs2 is anti-AI to which i think it’s pretty clear that kojima encourages us to exercise our free will and critical thinking in this digital age…though raiden doesn’t outright say “fuck the patriots”—who are ostensibly using such a program to try and keep the masses ignorant, complacent, and dependent—in this game, his decision to pick his future for himself entirely goes against the AI colonel’s impression that everything in the simulation could decide the kind of person raiden becomes. to me mgs2 (along with being more explicitly about life in the digital age) takes the idea of free will or destiny from the first game up a notch with the question of: hey, what if it your future wasn’t just programmed for you by birth but by a simulation which you regard as the truth? it’s interesting to see this blend of themes (that the persona franchise decided to create two separate games based on, funny enough) work together in a new context

> sitting with the full weight of otacon’s backstory is kind of crushing. i know it’s not the worst thing ever but something about his tragedy feels all the more pointed when you think about how vulnerable he was…how he was basically abused and groomed and still blames himself to this day because he doesn’t know any better at all? it’s just such a heavy burden for someone so young to bear—an illicit affair and the death of your father because of your actions would mess anyone up in the head (im genuinely surprised he’s not worse than he is right now). his loneliness is so interesting because to a certain extent it’s self imposed by his own inaction (waiting to be loved instead of seeking it out for himself—some kind of self-esteem problem, maybe?) and for the first time in years solid snake manages to break down his walls and they form this beautiful mutual connection that i think holds so much more weight than any potential female relationship the games try to force him into (also with the fact that he seems into women that would only be somewhat unhealthy/toxic for him something something childhood trauma something something twisted conception of romance tragic doomed heterosexuality but he could find everything he looked for and more in the man who’s stayed beside him this whole time but i digress) otasune is so beautiful to me and i’ve been thinking more about how it really is only them against the world and burying my head in my hands i think im going to develop heartburn because of these fools and if anyone has good fic recs i would love for them to be sent my way im going to start writing essays about them again ffs. also something something otacon really is at his best self when he’s around snake—confident, in control, and a little sassy when he wants to be—which honestly makes him that more attractive … snake truly brought the best out of this nerd god bless

I actually can talk about it with proper knowledge because he's my husband. So much easier that way.

It will really depend on who you meet first. The whole flow of your relationship (either it's as friends, enemies, lovers), can be decided in minutos upon Bruce meeting you.

If you meet Bruce Wayne first, his whole playboy persona will be an important part of your first interactions.

If you're a reporter who can see through his act, than there would be a sense of a shared secret between you both. You made through one of his many masks, which brings you closer to the real person. In cases like that, his courting will be more honest. There is no need to pretend to be shallow.

He will watch over you, both as Bruce and Batman. He will watch you on the news, hear all your programs during work (it help him focus), read your articles. Then when he talks to you, he can talk about the things that matter to you. He will also watch recording the news whenever he know you're on a dangerous place. He will protect you from afair without you even knowing.

If you're someone from his friend circle, another bilionaire of Gotham, than he have this mask he won't let go. But even tho you had to deal with his act, there is some sense of belonging. Of understanding him. Bruce can pretend from whoever long he need, but there is no way to foolish a real friend.

You care about him. You can see how he apparently doesn't sleep. That he's always in pain somehow. And when Bruce understands that his act didn't fully confused you, then he knows he have someone caring for him. Someone able to look at him and call his bullshit out. Someone that will kick him off parties saying he needs to sleep or he will never see you again.

If that's the case, than Bruce will court you as most imagine. Flowers, caring for you during your day by day, showing his more possessive side during events. In some ways, Bruce will be trying to give all you care back to you.

Now as an enemy, that would be kind of dificult for the both of you. You two have diferences that can't be overlooked. There is a abysm between you both, and somehow that's what brings you closer to one another. There is a sense of understanding, of longing, that can only be shared by two enemies.

You both have secrets. Masks and more masks to protect yourselfs. Is he Bruce Wayne, the man that suffers and loses and pretends, or is he Batman, the thing that endure and change and pretend? Which one is the real one and which one the act? How could he ever come to an answer for that?

Biological shell had many disadvantages.

It required constant maintenance, in forms of nourishment, water, temperature and rest. It had small range of functionality in different temperatures, needing adjustments in form of clothing or evolved resistant coat and regulation mechanisms. So it was easy to say that is was vastly inefficient in many aspects.

Warm body was pressed against his back as he sat on the ground. He could feel it breathing, he could even feel it's pulse slightly against his sensors. Old programming warned him of a human organism being dangerously close. And yet, he didn't react to it.

"I like touching you, despite metal sometimes being cold, Ramattra" your voice said softly as you placed your face against his shoulder.

"I... I am glad that you like that aspect of me"

"You always try to sound so formal" you huffed "I get it that you don't understand humans and their weird gestures tho. I mean, technically you don't have a need for this like most animals do?"

"I do not think that omnics depend so much on physical contact as organic life, no."

"Shame. But as long as you are fine with me wanting it, I'm fine."

One of the disadvantages of organic life, especially more intelligent forms of it is relying on touch to regulate ones psyche. Especially younger organisms need not only protection and food while they grow big enough to tend for themselves, they often times need both physical and mental connection with their peers and parents. If there wasn't one, there could develop many complications to organism mental health, and that could even affect physical health. Overall, organic life, especially more intelligent forms of it, required so much stimuli and investment, that it is a miracle that it could survive for so long.

"Ah, I'm an idiot. I made too much food. Again. Forgot that you can't exactly eat, sorry" you said, slightly embarrassed.

"If you can refrigerate it, it is fine." He said as it didn't bother him at all.

But in truth, he was somewhat overjoyed at being treated truly as an equal by you. You treated him like a human, and so such degree, that you forgot that he did not require that kind of sustenance. He actually remembers fondly how many times you made tea for him, how you reminded him to dress up more to not get sick and asking him if he slept well in the mornings. It were those small things that told him how exactly you saw him. As another person.

And yet, organic life has it advantages as well. It can regenerate mostly on its own. It developed emotions and conscience - something not exactly easy to replicate. It lived with a vague purpose, allowing it to seek their place in the universe. It didn't have to follow directives of mother AI or someone's commands. It existed for itself.

He was walking with you through the streets, enjoying your presence. There was a comfortable silence present, as you both relaxed with eachother. Then, he felt warm fingers against his metal ones. As you held his hand, he could feel your pulse, your warmth. You also came a little closer to his side, shrinking the distance between two of you.

He said nothing, content with the contact.

"I trust you, you know that Ramattra?"

He hummed only, yet his core warmed up in delight in emotion. You smiled as you heard his fans picking up speed.

I'm curious about your set up when about to start grinding your story?

I do my story on my laptop in MS Word with a split screen to online English dictionary. I got no ownership of a desk and chair. So I do it on my bed with small table. Sometime, I prep a picture of an idol for inspiration (Welp, Sullyoon cute face actually do the work). When I'm not in range of using my laptop, I just write the rough idea down on my phone's note. Watching the idol reality show or fan-made funny moment compilation to boast my spirit to write.

Not all the time, but most of the time I'll listen to instrumental music while writing :> I read from this author that listening to music helps him get in the mood to write, but music with words can often get in the way of his train of thought, so instrumental stuff helps him get in the mood without being interrupted by other words. I started doing this a few weeks ago and it's helped me a lot :] Sometimes I just like writing in silence tho, it really depends on how I'm feeling and what kind of scene I'm writing.

I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to capture the entirety and it’s nuances/complexities in just a singular post (would absolutely love to see you do that tho) but like also just really interested to see what that’s like and if people outside of the pipeline usually have any misconceptions about it

OH HO HO!!!!! PIPELINES, YES, WITH A S!!

I did a talk last month about that that was supposedly recorded, but I absolutely hate hearing the sound of my voice ahaha. So! Every studio has a different pipeline variation, and within those studios, the shows and projects have their own variations. I'm still kind of new in the industry. October will be my third anniversary. However, I love finding out how things work (I used to work in tech before making a whole career/life switcheroo)~

Here's a pipeline that I made with my personal experience on a show:

Each of these boxes requires a team of people, size of course depending on project scale and budget. As part of the production admin (production assistant tho in name only ahahaha I am again someone who sticks their nose into things and work directly with leads and directors), you have to be those lines connecting all the boxes and make sure everyone gets what they need. In the one I made, you'll notice how there is a loop happening in various parts. Pre-pro (pre production) is what gets done before animation. Script, storyboard, character/prop design, and backgrounds. (Interestingly enough, this is not the same for every production! Boutique deals with a lot of short term projects, like ads, music videos, pitch work. Various studios make their bread and butter this way. It's short term work and sometimes you get clients who will pay a lot for like some weird passion project. Think like, The Line, or what Cartoon Saloon does between movies. Anywho! Sometimes things like backgrounds won't get done until it's time for animation!) Anywho! In pre pro, character designs are influencing storyboards which are then influencing design and what sheets need to be made and backgrounds are being made which then set what the board artists can work in but then board artists want to change location angles and suddenly next thing you know, Producers have nuked an entire sequence and all of that work is cut ahaha. You even have editors going in and adding their own touch to the boards, adding in audio recordings and temp sound effects and music to try and get the feel, etc.

Oh god this is a lot of text on my phone and I haven't even scratched the surface LOL!! Point is, there is a lot of back and forth happening. Animation on a larger scale IS a group project. Miss on that production staff glue and oh boy. You will get....something in the end, but it will not be....... I've seen some disasters ahahaha. You got what you got and things could have been avoided. (And sometimes a team can be the best team and then you got these producers who have no idea how animation works but alas they are footing the bill and what can you do????)

...I 100% cannot capture this in a single post lol! I can barely cover it in an hour lecture. We haven't even mentioned spreadsheets and other programs (I have yet to try ftrack or shotgrid but I would love to get my hands on them and see how they work in a production; they also include file management which right now I do manually). Ehehehehe it's fun~~ Every day is something new~ Oh man I want to see what it's like with live action as well! It has to be a completely different beast!!! One day~~

I have been reading ‘Hackers & Painters’ by Paul Graham recently. Paul is a hacker who gets pretty rich after his company which uses Lisp for development and one of the first companies used server based programs with lots of releases instead of a Desktop app. I really enjoyed this book. Even tho some parts were outdated, it makes you think about certain topics. It was more excited at start but gets kinda boring and unnecessarily longer in the end. I wanted to quote some parts i chose from the book:

Any tips on how to not be awkward around my crush?

yo this is such a random and cute thing to receive in my inbox aw, I never thought I'D be asked for crush advice, but here goes. It's pretty long since I'm an analytical yapper so pls don't mind me.

i think when it comes to crushes, you need to program/convince your mind into acting as nonchalant as possible, easier said than done, I know, but trust me, the "i don't chase, I attract" energy ALWAYS worked out w me having many interactions w my crush good enough for me to contemplate that's he has some interest in me.

I swear the more 'chill' vibes you put out, the more inclined they'd be into interacting w you. I feel like the BIGGEST mistake everyone does with crushes, is that they refuse to have a friendship phase with them and want to have them fall in love immediately, and when they don't give off that energy, disappointment starts piling up.

so even if they see you as 'just a friend', I SWEAR ITS OKAY. I swear being in the friend zone is way better than not being noticed at all. It's much easier to work on it after you're friends. it always kinda worked out for me, I'd always end up somehow befriending my crush and they'd catch some sort of feelings for me in one way or another, which they, frustratingly, reveal after a long time, after we both stop having romantic feelings for e/o, LOL but that's our mistake since neither of us acted on it (with valid enough reasons that I won't be expanding on)

so I'd say, it just depends on what kind of a person your crush is?? so far I've only had crushes on like, golden retriever kinda boys, so I guess it was easier since they were mostly pretty friendly, but if you have a crush on someone who doesn't really like people that much, the best you can do is not make it too obvious, like whenever you're talking to them, just take a deep breath, it's okay, it's just a crush really. if they like you, they do, if they don't, you'll find someone better i promise.

one tip that I'll give you tho, is give them a small smile, like just a small one, some people might get turned off if you come on too strongly, but I feel like a lil smiling always helps make things more lighthearted :)

second, it's a bit difficult for me to explain how I do *things* in general so I'll try my best with this lol

The program I use for digital art is Clip Studio Paint! I use this really nice colored pencil-esque textured brush to do my line art (atm, it rotates often haha) but it's not really that important to how I render ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The brush I've recently been using to render is this!:

I found it in november and I've been in love with it ever since. It's the one I've been using for rendering and smaller little details. I used it in the Ephemer drawing, Freya, and the Hoder and Baldr one I did a couple months back.

As for how I actually do the rendering process, I'm not quite sure how to explain it? I put down the base colors first and then I'll paint over the line art with the blush and shading colors.

Like with this one! It really all depends on the colors you use and just. waht you're looking for. I really like it when the colors blend seamlessly together so I end up building up a lot of colors together.

I'm sorry this is kind of lackluster- it's hard to explain how I did something when it just sort of happened as a natural evolution of my style :(( hope this could help even a little bit tho!!

I can't really tell if you're talking about blender rendering or rendering like in photoshop, so... I'll just do blender tips and tricks, even tho I don't have a lot 💀 and a lot of the magic comes from putting the rendered products into an editing program (which I can also do a post about how I render if you'd like that :')) To preface: I make all my poses myself (besides the first render i made), and I use blender 2.83 👍 For blender: don't be afraid to play with colors in the lighting! Usually I have two lights (depending on the project), one white light for normal lighting (this doesn't apply to darker scenes like Nirvana's post or Kyneva's p2 post) and a colored light, use the light to your advantage especially to create atmosphere, Nirvana's post and this post are a good example, since I rlly utilized lighting to create an atmosphere (besides the text lol), I don't really know what else to say, but utilize lighting 👍😭 USE REFERENCES !! I use them off and on, mainly cause I can never find what I'm looking for, Kyneva's pose and Nanel's pose were heavily referenced by images I found, Nanel was moreso to make sure I got the hands to look right. A couple poses from the Roo-seum were referenced, but like Nanel, it was for anatomy. As someone who CANNOT anatomy for the life of me, utilize references, even if you take the pics yourself, refs are SO good especially for anatomy checks, and just to get ideas for poses if you don't really know what to do for a pose. That's kinda it, a lot of what I learned is self-taught other than the VERY very basics, everything else in my rendering process (including non-blender posts) all heavily relies on editing, and again, if you'd like that, I can make a post about it :)
