Real quick explanation time! Since Asclepius is an Argonaut alongside Nestor, a man who is still alive (though old) by the time of the Iliad, and Asclepius' sons fight in the Trojan War, is seems possible, if not likely, that Asclepius was killed within a decade of the start of the Trojan war. This means that Hector, who was middle aged by the war, had to have been born before Asclepius' death. If you follow the versions of the myth that call Hector Apollo's son, this means that Apollo had already been with Hecuba, and seeing as they had a second son, Troilus, after Asclepius' estimated death date, they were likely still close. How might Hecuba have felt when she heard the news? When Apollo was punished and she could not pray to him? When a man who was her children's half-brother was killed by the king of Olympus? Especially when at this point, multiple prophecies had been made that foretold her kingdom's destruction? Idk I think about her a lot and I think about them a lot and I think about Troy a lot, so I made this.

Initially I wrote it that the Axolotl reincarnated Bill as a human (per his "a different form, a different time" promise in his poem—it was the best way to ensure he survived but didn't have enough power to do any harm), but in the wake of TBOB I'm in the process of rewriting earlier chapters so that the Axolotl did send him to Theraprism as in canon—and Bill jailbroke himself by hijacking the Theraprism's reincarnation equipment. So, Bill made himself a human, on purpose—which kinda makes it funnier that he's so miserable, like u did this to urself Bill buddy, u fucked up. He thought the body would be a lot easier to escape.

And a human body that happens to have tits on it isn't the opposite of his gender and isn't a punishment. ("Female" isn't the opposite of "triangle." All human genders are wrong on him. If you were magically turned into a shape, you probably wouldn't be too fussed about whether it was a square or a pentagon.) Being stuck as a human is already alien enough to him—a couple small lumps or protrusions doesn't make a difference to him.

In-universe, the reason he's got a body that looks female is because the Theraprism's reincarnation machine automatically generated a body for him that, in spite of being human, would fit his soul as comfortably as possible; and Bill is most comfortable being triangle-shaped; and if you want a human body to have a bottom-heavy shape with narrow shoulders and very wide hips, the easiest way to get that is to have a body that naturally produces its own estrogen. So tbh that facet of his body is actually the opposite of a punishment.

Bruce does love his kids, that doesn't mean that he hasn't hurt them. And I'd also argue that for the most part he feels in the right for it, and he's said multiple times that he believes it's for their own good, so you can't even argue that he's sorry about it. It's okay for you guys to admit that your PERSONAL INTERPRETATION of the character wouldn't do that but don't sit here and pretend that it's not a facet of the source.
