Sometimes I think that my dysphoria isn’t that bad, I can live, it’s manageable. And I guess it is managable because I’m still. Alive. But some mornings I take a sponge bath in a binder before work because I can’t bear to think of bare flesh. And I can only shower at night in the pitch dark. And I plan out my outfits ahead of time so I spend as little time as possible undressed. And I love the winter because I wear so many layers I don’t have to bind. And and and and. Maybe I should take myself more seriously. I shouldn’t discount my suffering as much as I do. I wish it was easier to get surgery. My consultation is in April and I can wait that long because I have to but honestly. Honestly. I can’t fucking bear this shit anymore!! I can’t bear it I can’t. I have to. I must. I will. But god every day feels like agony.

i read the cutest reddit thread today where this 19 yo boy was “babysitting” his 15 yo little sister while his parents were away on vacation and she got this horrific period and needed to be taken to the ER.

and this sweet 19 yo boy was doing all he could to take care of her, giving her meds and water and then packing stuff up to go to the hospital once reddit was like “yeah if she’s soaking two tampons in an hour you should go” - but being only a little older than a child himself, he didn’t know what to pack, so he brought like three things, and one of them was SUNSCREEN.
